Must be the moon........ or perhaps just 5-6month old babies. we all seem to be having a ****ty time! Sleep deprivation is a cruel form of torture. Thank goodness for BB.
Mo- bummer about CD house, hope next one works out. Where is that one? I wash my wet bags with my nappies.
Car seat- i was thinking of turning ours around, it's a safe'n'sound something or other. But on reading your advice Leah i think i'll leave it as it. I'd like to be able to see her when driving....... ah well. wont be too long.
Off to pick up MIL............... mixed feelings, great to have a hand and she is sure to wash my floors and clean my cupboards, but she drives me nuts!
-
Morning everyone! I've been offline a fair bit because our wireless router died. DH is buying a new one today. I have to keep the laptop plugged directly into the modem in Joel's room so it makes it a bit hard to get on BB! Also I'm finding it hard to get anything done ATM. K is giving me a hard time, he woke up 7 times last night, 5 times the night before, etc... When he is awake he is cranky for most of the time which means I have to lug him everywhere so my hip and back are killing me. I'm taking him to the chiro later this morning so we'll see if anything is out. Otherwise I'm going to try get him into a paediatrician because I don't think his behaviour is normal. He constantly rubs his right ear too so I'm wondering if he has an infection. WHO KNOWS???
Willow - Sorry you had a bad night too . Hope you get a good rest while DD is at preschool. Joel's kinder is not on because of school holidays, I'd love to have a break!
Mo - Are you feeling off because of your health? You poor thing . Glad you have found somewhere more suitable to move too.
Leah - Joel has the Maxi Rider 1 without the cup holders, but I still love it!
Saffi - You deserve a big pat on the back for your perseverance with b'feeding! At least when you switch over to formula you know you gave L a really good start to life. Re: car seats, like Leah said, they really should stay rearward facing as long as possible. "They" recommend to leave them rearward facing up until 12 months if possible. Safe N Sound are by far the best car seats I have found and again like Leah said, they are all pretty much the same except for the extras and price.
Viv - Sorry you are suffering o'night too. Re: the Ergo, go try one on and see what you think, I find mine soooo much better than the Bjorn. I have a few in my store and I've been raving about them to everyone! I've heard Rescue Remedy is good too, it's worth a go.
Alz - Glad you had a great day yesterday!
Ange - Lu is so clever getting around! IKWYM about them playing only with things they're not meant to.
Kellie - How annoying about the sleep school making things go backwards. I borrowed "The No-Cry Sleep Solution" book from the library yesterday and it really speaks my language! It may be worth a read for you?
Nic - Hope you're feeling a bit better today. Put those feet up!
Well, I'd better go and have a shower while K is sleeping. DH is sweet and told me not to worry about housework, etc. today, just rest. Sounds like a great plan!!
-
Pakenham, I don't know anybody from that area. I will say it's alot nicer than Dandenong .
The area seems alot Cleaner.
Crappy i can't see some of your nappy stash now, was looking forward to checking them out.
Where did you end moving too?
Thanks Willow & Ange will give it a wash today.
Trish-I have no idea, Doesn't seem to be my health still in remission, But it might be the start of a flare-up . Guess i'll find out soon.
Sorry K is giving you hard time, Hope he doesn't have an infection.

Hi everyone
Haven't been around much. DH is overseas at the moment for work, and my internet has been playing up too....must be in the air!
Max has been a bit of a nighmare with the teeth. He's getting top and bottom ones...wonder how long it takes for them to break through. The other day he had me in tears coz he was just so sad! :(
On the upside though he's sleeping well at night again. I've caved and he now sleeps on his tummy 100% of the time. He is MUCH happier! He woke once last night but it was coz of farts, but was back asleep till 7.
He still doesn't roll so maybe he was getting annoyed being on his back coz he couldn't roll over and be on his tummy. Hope I'm not stunting his growth though!!
Car seats...I've turned mine around already. It says from 8kg they can (in the book that is) so I figure what the heck. He likes it MUCH better. He can see things, and reach out for his little toy (whom we've named Milton!) and I can see him too. It's still on a bit of a recline though, so will start making it more upright as he gets stronger. He hated facing backwards, and he was always straining to sit up more. Why deny him!
Trish, maybe K is teething too? Max is always pulling on his ears. I thought if he gets really screamy I'd take him to the doc and get it checked, but it's not been 'that' bad!
Rescue Remedy. I know people that give it to their highly strung dogs! (no offence Viv!!! :)) It calms them down, so I guess it would chill out a human!
Anyway, I'm off to get my breakfast now, hope everyone has a better day that the one before!
-
Hi again! I took K to the chiro and his neck was really out. The chiro said that it is common for necks to go out during teething, how weird! It may have been caused by something else, but I guess we'll never know. He also said it is common for babies to pull at their ear when their neck is out or they are teething (I think it is both with K!). He fixed him up and said that he should go back to sleeping well tonight *fingers crossed*. We will see!
Julia - Teething is horrible isn't it? I have been putting SM-33 on K's gums and giving him a teething ring that I keep in the fridge.
Mo - Pakenham is a good area, Kim lives not far from there. DH's nan lives out there so if we are in the area we'll have to catch up! The Berwick baby market is not far from there either, I'll let you know when the next one is, they are great fun!
Ange - GL with your MIL! I couldn't stand it if mine stayed with us. She spent a week of our holiday with us in Port Douglas once and it was exhausting lol!
-
mmmmmm..... I've got one of those mesh feeders somewhere too, got it at my baby shower... but where is it???
Trish - I had already borrowed that book too, I'm about half way through it, but I definitely like what I've read so far! Glad the chiro has fixed Kieran, lets hope he sleeps better for you tonight!
Ange- good luck!
Mo - hope your feeling better soon
I think Tahlia might be teething too, but I'm not too sure. She is dribbling heaps, and has been a bit grizzly. Occasionaly when she is feeding she bites down and it really hurts! I tried giving her a teething ring from the fridge, and she sucks on it.. if she were teething would she more likely bite it?
Last night I put her down at 9, then was up at 9.45, then 10.30, then 11.15 and then 12, I ended up giving her some infants friend and she went back to sleep about 1 and then slept through till 10am!
Has anyone else used Infants Friend for teething?
-
Morning everyone! It has been a while (2 days I think) since I have been on. Had huge dramas getting on yesterday - today isnt much better but am here now - YAY
I have started wrapping Caitlyn a different way now and her arms are kept still all night. done it for 2 nights now and she has slept for 8 hours straight each time. So will continue to do it this way - I just wish she was without a dummy!
Car seats-I have a mothers choice one. I never had a capsule just always in the seat. The ambos said it was ok and they fitted it so feel safe. We have only just moved it off to one side though cause it was in the middle and it was a HUGE drama for me to get her in and out of it. DH is quite tall and we couldnt have it behind either seat in case he sat there. I dont know how much she weighs right now so I can't turn it round - our book says 8 kg too. I think the chemist out here is getting some baby scales so I will get her weighed before the drive to Townsville just in case.
Npas- Caitlyn has ALWAYS only had 40 min naps. Sometimes at daycare she will go down for 15 mins and be fine. She is never cranky or anything after waking from these naps so I assume 40 mins is enough for her. Would be nice if she would go down longer but hey its what works for her!
Mesh food bags- I gave one to C the other day full of carrot and she looked at it like what the heck do you want me to do with that?? She has expanded her menu now - pumpkin, apple, pear, carrot and will be doing the potato next week.
Has anyone given their bubs some custard? I bought a tin of apple custard to see how we go with that but am scared to give it to her.
Anyway - am using the work internet again cause I can't get onto the site from home for some reason. Have a great day everyone sorry for lack of personals.
mwah

Morning All,
Mo- yep I just wash my wetbag int the machine. Sometimes with nappies sometimes with clothes. Mine does not get really smelly though, unless I forget and leave anappy in there
Trish - Argh on the sleeping! We had a teaser sleep through on Tuesday night 12 midnight to 6am BLISS, but last night 10pm, 2.30am, 6am "sigh". Never mind I guess ia m lucky she goes right back to sleep after a feed.
Rebecca - still no food here yet. What are these mesh bags you are all talking about I am intrigued??? Sounds like a good idea.....
Teeth - maybe not sure, who the hell knows.....drool, biting, drool, sucking, drool......
Today she is sad, had a short sleep at 10am and then was crying and whinging so I put her in the ergo where she happily sucked on the straps for a while then screaming again so I cracked it and put her back to bed. She is still there and I have to get Eliza in 1/2 hour!
Must run and make some noise to try and wake her....
-
I got one of the bags for M, she enjoys it.
Leah you can add all sorts of food to the bag so bubs can try a different variety without the risk of choking, also good for teething u can add frozen fruit etc for them to suck on.
My bag is the tommee tippee one.
Rebecca i brought organic custard you can make your self(you add formula or EBM), M is not a fan of yet screws her face up like i'm Poisoning her lol
M loves her veggies still wont take take rice cereal & not a fan of the fruit either.
She has Broccoli, Carrot, Pumpkin, Sweet Potato & Zucchini, She likes her food to be mixed together doesn't like just the one flavour now.
What age do you start giving them finger foods?
We also have a mothers choice car seat.
-
car seat - we bought the safe n sound 'royale' - just quietly the equivalent of a fuggin arm chair in the back. they retail around $500 but i picked it up for $170 on ebay. i have a new child on my hands. the boy haaaated the capsule. now he's sooo happy and crashes out in his plush new digs every time he gets in it. sweet. i've been waiting for this moment.
he's forwards. i know in an accident it is horrific forward movement for the baby but i'm pretty sure he's safe in our vehicle. it's worth it to have a happy baby on car trips. first time ever he slept hte whole way to brisbane.
saw the nurse today... she reckons i need to get him back on the rice, and cut out any night feeds because, 'look at him, he doesn't need a night feed - he just likes to see you'. so... carp. not sure how this will fly because he doesn't tolerate me not making with the boob when he wakes up.
-
Viv just do what you feel is right, you know him better than the nurse.
-
Usually when I post the thread closes so I was going to wait to say hello but it's still open so... "Hello all!" *waits for thread to self destruct*. It was my grandma that was like that with Ryan, she is the most loving person in the world and has a heart of gold but is so incredibly thick and has no common sense whatsoever. Every little movement or noise Ry made was significant, if he waved his arm it meant he didnt want his bottle, if he arched his back to try and turn and look over your arm it was reflux etc etc everytime he burped and did a tiny spew it was him "vomiting all over the place".
Took him back to the dr and finally got in to see a nice one and she cuddled ryan and carried him about till she could look in his mouth... this "virus" I kept getting told to just ignore it, well his tonsils are so swollen they were touching which is why he was having probs eating and he had a cold as well. Got 3 days left of antibiotics and he's sounding a lot better just that same cough that won't budge..
Anyways I hope all is well gotta go to bed so tired, loves to all, probably see u all on the new thread momentarily lola
-
Evening all
Thanks for your thoughts about the car seats. Going to do a bit more research before the weekend, but agree that probably should look at getting one that is reversible, even if only going to be used for a month.
L is 5 months today. My little boy is growing so fast. He has been tugging at his right ear for the last few days and think may be drooling more than usual. I have been trying to look into his mouth to see if there are lumps but the little sod won't cooperate. I think I did feel something when he was gnawing on my finger.
Other news - L had solids today. Well sort of solids. We had mashed spud for dinner and I set a piece aside to mush up. Anyway DH did the mushing and put way too much EBM in so it was more potato juice than mush. But he accepted it and seemed to enjoy it. He was so cute. DH got it all on video. Me thinks might try farex soon.
Trish - sorry to hear K is having a tough time. Hopefully the trip to the chiro will do the job.
Celtic - hopefully now Ryan will get better. Its amazing what a good Dr can achieve.
Viv - don't know about that nurse!!
Leah - hope tonight is better for you.
Anyone know where Becky and Kim are?
Anyway, got some ironing to do.
-
Hi all, it's so quiet in here!
We had a slightly better night last night. K only woke up 3 times instead of 7 times (BTW I don't feed him when he wakes unless it is after 4am and he is hungry). I heard him wake a couple more times, but he put himself back to sleep. He seems even more unsettled since visiting the chiro, but I think he usually is so I will give him another day to see if he is feeling better. I think his neck is probably a bit tender after being manipulated. I have also booked him in to see a paediatrician next Friday just to get him looked over by a professional. The poor little thing, I just don't know what else to do with him.
To add to the fun, both K and I came back down with colds overnight. We just got over colds!! I guess when you're not getting much sleep it's harder for your body to recover properly. DH is going to try and get off work early so I can try and catch up on some sleep.
Saffi - Happy 5 months to Lachlan for yesterday! Sorry it's belated!! They are growing up so fast. K pulls at his right ear too, sounds like a teething thing.
Celtic - Poor little Ryan :(. I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery. It's frustrating when so-called "experts" tell you to ignore symptoms. Mums always know when something isn't right.
Viv - We have a Royale too, they are so cozy! I wish they made car seats like that for adults lol. Did you try to cut back on night feeds last night? If you decide you want to (and don't feel you have to because your nurse told you to), the book "The No-Cry Sleep Solution" has some great advice for weaning off night feeds.
Mo - That's great that Maddi loves her veggies! I can't remember what age you can give finger foods, but I'm guessing at around 6 months if you are allowed to give them rusks at that age. Just watch her very carefully to make sure she doesn't choke on anything.
Leah - I'm sorry to hear another mum is having some dodgy nights too! It's so much harder when you have another one to look after as well. I'd love to just nap when K does, but I still have to look after Joel.
Rebecca - What a pain you can't get onto BB at home lol! Have you found out what the problem is?
Kelly - I haven't tried Infants Friend but maybe I should! Is it made from natural ingredients?
Hi to everyone else!
-
no way i'm going to cut out his comfort feed in the night when he's teething. he woke every 1.5hrs last night between 12 and 5. also woke at 8pm sobbing and sobbing. took me ages to calm him. poor kid. i fed him at 3am and just resettled the other times. he just wants his mama... and that's ok with me.
in other news - guess who had a nice mix of 80 mls EBM and 70mls formula today!! the first blow has been struck, now i just tweak it until he can do it straight up. the nurse gave me 6 samples of various formulas to try. it was the NAN 1HA (same has minimax, no?) and he chugged the lot. no dramas so far. dh is a little bit sad that he took it because he liked us being all earthy and 'pure' as he puts it. he's happy though because it means no EBM stress for him when he's on duty.
hehe...yay. :smug: fiiiinally.
-
Yay Viv, that's awesome! Life is so much easier when they will take formula as well as BM, it takes the stress out of expressing. It sounds terrible, but the day Joel was finally fully weaned to the bottle (he turned exactly 6 months old that day) I felt like the weight of the world was off my shoulders. We had been struggling with b'feeding for 2 months, it was always a fight with him and it was so nice when it was over. If it's causing stress to mum it isn't worth it. I absolutely agree about settling your bub o'night, especially feeding when teething. Apparently breast milk gives 2 hours of pain relief, such magic stuff!
-
Thanks Trish, Tried M with banana & avacado hated the banana & love the avacado.
Trish are you going to stop B/Fing K at 6 months as-well?
Viv yay for J taking some formula, M is on Nan HA she loves the stuff
-
Hi girls
So much to catch up on! Sounds like all the bubs are having a rough time at the moment!
Must buy one of those teether mesh bags! Where do you get them from?
Easter break was great! Myles didnt sleep much at night, whats different:) But was able to get some extra sleep with all the rellies wanting cuddles!
Well tuesday was a horrible day! Myles fell off our bed:( I was absolutely devastated, he is fine but screamed for a bit! I will never forget that sound, I felt like the worst mum in the world! So no more playing on the bed with pillows as bumpers!
all these bubs who are 6 months! Hasnt time flown! I cant believe my lil man will be 6 mths on tuesday! He is definitely got the semi crawl thing happening!
anyway I will try to get back later, have extra time now that im finished the GDUNH!
x
-
Amber glad you had a good easter break.
I brought Ms mesh bag at Big W for $6. You should find them in the dummy/bottle section.
-
thanks Mo! Will have to go and get one! By the way what type of nappy do you prefer? I love the pocket ones but would love to try some AIO but am a little scared!
-
trish - i didn't know it was a painkiller as well. that's pretty amazing. babies know stuff don't they?
in other news... little man is sleeping... like... for nearly two hours. i'm guessing it's the formula. oh man, i'm a convert.
i know i'm kinda hooked on the oxytocin hit we both get from BF but i'm also loving the sanity of him having proper day sleeps again. wooo. might be too soon to party but it's looking good.
-
Afternoon all!
Trish-No I still can't get onto BB at home....and I was on the phone to Telstra for AGES trying to figure out the problem but they say there is nothing wrong - so what they say goes I guess. Am looking at changing plans shortly I think - dont seem to be using the same amount as i used to.
Now for my good, no great, no FANTASTIC news. Little miss C went to bed at 645 last night and woke up at *drum roll please*................615 this morning!!!!! Not even a dummy spit wake up!! Nothing at all. So DH is under the impression that we will be DTD tonight....might give in this once!! He does go away for another week on Sunday :(
Anyway went to Woolies this morning cause they were having a special on jars of baby food - 79 c a jar and I bought quite a few different ones to try. She is going great guns on her solids.
And last night I was drying her off on our bed after her bath and I was singing to her and all of a sudden the little bugger blew a raspberry at me! Didnt think my singing was THAT bad...actually yes I did! I think she was as surprised as I was! Took heaps of footage on the video camera and my phone camera and have been mmsing it to all my friends. Its soooo cute!! Cheeky little thing!
Am at wrk late today so my housework wont get done at all today - was supposed to get implanon put in today but the chemist didnt have one but won't go into that!!
Anyway - will check in again later - have a great day everyone. mwah
-
Amber - Welcome back! Glad you had a nice time away. Don't worry, you're not alone on the bad night sleeps! Poor Myles, I'm glad he is OK after his fall. It's a horrible feeling isn't it? Unfortunately accidents happen sometimes.
Mo - I plan to BF K as long as possible. We are both happy with our BF'ing relationship so I will keep at it. I gave up with Joel because we were both miserable and it just wasn't worth the stress. I think I had a pretty bad supply back then because of my low iron levels and exhaustion. Maddi has good taste, I love avocados too!
Viv - My paediactric chiro is the one who told me about the pain relief, our bodies are so clever. That's great J is having a big day sleep! K just did a two hour nap, the first time in DAYS!!! He has only been having 40-50 minute naps and waking up really cranky, but just won't resettle. Not sure what was different this time, must be something in the air!
ETA - Rebecca - Woohoo :confetti: for C's huge sleep!!! Can't blame you for being excited!!!
-
Trish that's great you & K have great thing going.
I'm going to book M into have some pics taken so i was browsing their website looking for their number when i realized they have some of Maddi's newborn pics up there.(studio3 melbourne under collages/specials)
I love her newborn pics.
Rebecca yay for C's big sleep.
-
Hey girls, been a bit MIA this week, having massive probs getting on and even when I can, takes aaaaages for the pages to load then they drop out a lot of the time, not sure what the go is.
Latest news with us....another trip to the hospital last night :wall: I swear if our local hossy had a frequent flyer program we'd be jetting off to Fiji next week!
Story goes...Had DD and L in the bath. DD was having a paddy and wanted her daddy so DH and i were both in there bathing them. We'd run out of baby bath stuff so DH asked me what to use. I told him nothing on L but DD could have a bit of my body wash, she's used it heaps of times before, no drama. So DH grabs the pump pack, it squrits in the total opposite direction and lands RIGHT IN L'S EYE!! A big huge blob of it. So he gets really upset, mad panic to flush it all out. I got him out of the bath and gave him a big cuddle but within minutes his eye, nose and top lip had swollen up and he broke out in a rash all over his face - CARP!!
So off we go to the after hours clinic. By the time we actually got in to see the dr the swelling in his nose and lip had gone and the rash was almost gone but his poor little eye....:( They did a few saline flushes, checked his eye out, no burning, cornea clear (thank god). So they told us to watch him overnight and if the swelling or rash returned to take him straight to ER. If his eye was still irritated and swollen this morning, to take him to our GP.
Eye still irritated and swollen so back to GP today. Total moron who tells me he has conjunctivitis, probably had it before the body wash freaked his eye out, and that the body wash freak out was just coincidence - W...T...F??? Hello, his eye was perfectly healthy before that happened??!!
Anyway, been squirting breastmilk in it (it truly is amazing stuff ;)) and got some ointment and eye drops for him too.
Poor little bugger has seen more trips to the drs and hospital in 4.5 months than his sister has in 3 years!
Other than that, we're still rockin' on. Sleeping good, feeding good (still having night feeds).
Breastfeeding - I'm a massive fan, card carrying member of the ABA and not planning on stopping till the little man weans himself. Fed DD for 16 months and in it for the long haul this time.
BBL for personals, so tired after last night/today. Hope everyone gets enough sleep tonight!!
-
Hi girls!
Mind if I join in?? :) I had my son Ryan October 13th 2007. Things have been going really well. He has his two bottom teeth early. He used to be a really good sleeper, sleeping 8-9 hours straight at night. In the past 4 weeks he has started waking every 3 hours at night. Anyone else have this?
-
Willow how scary, Glad L is ok.
I swear some doctor's just don't listen to what your saying.
Welcome Francesca, I'm Mo :)
We brought M one of those newborn to toddler rockers it was the last one they had she we got it for $40 cheaper.
So far M loves it, it's really handy having a rocker again she sleeping in it now.
It's sooooo cold here lately, i hate getting out of my warm bed lol.
-
hi francesca. welcome :confetti:
yes i have the frequent waking. last night he was not comfortable or happy for 2 hours after i resettled. every 20 mins he'd ping me. and yes, every 3 hours otherwise.
trish - i totally respect your decision to see a paed chiro, it just concerns me that he is 'usually' worse, if only for a day. to my mind, a treatment should make you feel better. my main issue with neck manipulations is the risk, especially to a little neck of someone who can't consent. i'm not hacking at you coz i know my best friend goes and takes bub too. some swear by it, personally it scares me, not only for the not insignificant risk of stroke attached to neck manipulation. i hope your chiro is reallly good to entrust K's neck to him/her.
has anyone here tried camomila for teething pain/restlessness?
-
Morning everyone,
I am in a living hell atm! Not only is K waking all night and grumpy during the day, not only have we come down with colds again, but DH came home from work last night not feeling great and ended up on the loo and vomiting all night! We think he has food poisoning from some calamari rings he had for lunch. I hope it's not gastro, I don't think I could take it if we all caught that too!! Gahhh...I was counting on him to watch Joel today so I could get some naps in to catch up on lost sleep. Now DH is fast asleep in bed, sick as a dog :(. Can it get any worse??? I shouldn't ask should I LOL! Luckily my sister has come and taken Joel to play with her DS, such a big help!
Willow - How scary, poor L and you! I hope he's OK today.
Welcome Francesca! I look forward to getting to know you and Ryan.
Mo - What brand rocker did you buy? It's great if you can get one that will last until she is a toddler.
Viv - Yep I know what you mean about the chiro. I took him to see a different one in the same practice because mine is away and he seemed quite rough and didn't explain to me what he was about to do. My usual guy is quite gentle and explains everything. K never normally showing signs of pain afterwards, just a little unsettled the next day occasionally (but not the last few visits), but then he becomes great. I'm taking him to see our usual chiro on Tuesday and I will complain about the other chiro.
Have a great day everyone!
-
Trish  you are coping so well, i admire your strength.
We ended up buying a fisher-price one :)
-
Morning everyone
Well, DH is back from O/S and can I say I think I had a good time without him around. Max was so settled and relaxed....Dad might make him a bit over excited me thinks! I am happy to have him home though....so I can talk to another adult again and not just via cyberspace!
Viv Yep the Nan HA is the one I used :) Glad to hear J is loving it....You still a bit undecided on the BF thing? I also think you are onto something re the chiro. It scares me too. Not saying that those who do it shouldn't, I just don't like the thought myself!
Trish You poor love, lets hope  that you guys all get better REALLY soon and K starts sleeping again, and your world becomes totally fantazmo! The carpola has been going on too long for you.
Francesca Welcome to the group! You will find if you read back far enough that we have all mostly been having troubles with sleep etc lately. You can 'kinda' blame the teeth I guess though. I think Max is getting some which explains his freaky sleeping, but none have busted through the gums yet.
QUESTION What does everyone think of paid maternity leave??? My opinion is that it could be detrimental to those women out there with 'careers' (ie Lawyers, Accountants etc not just PA's like me :) (dime a dozen)) who will compete for jobs with Men. The interview questions will start to contain more..... 'so, when are you planning on having babies'....any time soon and no jobbie for you! It would be nice to have some extra money, but am not sure if it will work well.
-
Morning all.
Mo- Raven lives in Pakenham. She is lovely, lovely, lovely and has a great MCN stash! Pakenham is nice. I can show you some nappies if we meet up sometime......
Finger food- Lu chews on a rusk now, not game to give her anything else though. She has most fruit and veg now. Also baby porriage.
Viv- Had a paediatric dietician come and talk to mothers group mums. Once J has been on food for a month or so you can start introducing meat and that baby pasta. Will help him stay full for longer....... Am going to start Lu next week on a bit of meat and got some Bellamys baby rice pasta. Hopefully will keep her full for longer overnight. Did you check out the goats milk formula? might please DH more...... closer in structure to human milk, etc .etc.
Car seat still backwards, She is only 6.9kg, weight gain slowed down now she is more active.
Was carving up the dance floor at a wedding with Lu at 12.00 last night. People must have thought i was a shocking mum! She woke up from a sleep and wouldn't go back to sleep as there was too much going on, so i got her up for a dance. She slept well when we got home and this morning, maybe i should crank the tunes and dance with her every night.
MIL driving me a little crazy, but coping ok so far!
Hi Francesca. yeah my girl was sleeping 10-12 hrs most nights, now she wakes once or twice. Sux!
-
Trish - we use Infants Friend a fair bit... I've given it to Tahlia when she is curling her legs with wind pain, and it always gets rid of the pain... about 30 mins after the dose you her a large explosion sound from the nappy area! It also seems to be calming her when she is really grizzly too, which I think might be the teething. I dont think its completely natural, but fairly close. I know they have a website if you want to read up on it
