Mo - Poor Maddi, it sounds like she may be teething, but if you are worried it is worthwhile getting her checked out by your GP in case it's an ear infection or something.

Afternoon all!
Saffi- glad you are enjoying Port Douglas. I have a friend who lives up there and I visit at every opportunity!!
trish I think I must have spoken to soon in regards to C's eyes - it looked like it was back again today! I washed them out, put some drops in and sent her on to daycare. Obviously she is getting it from there somewhere - she finally gets free of it, take her to daycrae and it comes back again....or is it jsut me thinking that??? And I hope C gets over her hating being on her tummy soon!!!
Celtic- Was that your parents doing that or your grandparents??? My god!! Unbelievable!! My parents are frustrating (well mum is!) but my dad makes up fro it! I hate to see what is going to happen when I go to townsvilel to visit.
Kellie- I am going to Townsville for about a week. While I am there I have my sil wedding and C's baptism.
Well i got the news today that the compnay I work for wont be renewing the lease on this house that we are living in and that because I am only part time they will no longer give me rent assistance once the lease is up. So now I have 2 decisions to make....do I take over the lease here and do I quit work altogether and see what centreline will give me - if anything or look at going back full time :( . so am about to go look at the cetrelink website although i think DH earns "too much" to receive any sort of benefit.
I had better head off and get some housework done before I have invasion of the ****roaches! We got our electricity bill the other day - $976!! Fainted!!!
Geez Rebecca that is one hell of an electric bill....can it be right!!? Oh...and Max doesn't rate being on his tummy for play much either. Probably why he doesn't want to roll over yet...!
Mo - Could be teething. Max is apparently going through it too. Well the CHN says he is, I can't see them myself, but I don't really know what I'm looking for. He is being way more clingy and I guess it also explains more poop, lots of drooling, bad sleep etc etc. Maybe more of us are going through it than we think! Three other babies in my mothers groups are getting teeth too! I suppose if you want peace of mind it's not something else you might want to take her to the doc.
Trish - poor you...just when you thought you were getting better...bummer! Shame about the floaties in your pool. Max and I really enjoyed it (inbetween the crying) and I'm looking forward to more of it. In the meantime I'll take him in our spa for 'practice'.
Geez Celtic that is one hell of a day you had! I would have just yelled at them to GO AWAY!
Terri - Yes tired but not enough to require a nap during the day! I surf the net instead!!
Well best be off to hang the washing....bye for now
Hi all
Just taking advantage of downtime while L is asleep. The hotel has wireless internet and DH brought the laptop so I am still connected to the world and all the chatter LOL.
We are having a good time and the weather has been really good considering it was monsoonal here last week. Tomorrow we are planning on going up to the Kuranda Markets and later in the week out to the reef. Been an interesting experience travelling with an infant. Mum and I are at the hotel atm while DH and Dad are fishing for barramundi. With any luck it will be fish for dinner.
Trish - we are staying at Pool. It is a fairly new complex. We practically have the place to ourselves. Haven't been into the pool yet. Sorry to hear you and K still aren't over your illnesses.
Terri- welcome back. Glad you had a good break. Feeling tired too. L still isn't sleeping thru. Don't know how I am going to go once I go back to work. DH will be taking of L so he will have to do the overnight shifts.
Rebecca - dreading our power bill now. We were running the A/C in L's room 24/7there for a while.
Cute scene. Mum and L are playing with a toy (a juice bottle with a nut inside it).
Hope all mummies and bubs are doing well.
Hi everyone, hate to use the line but first time user here.
I had my son in October 07 and i've been going to mothers group but finding it hard to click with the women. Just wondering if any of you have had a similar experience and did you find another group or persist. I'm very tempted to stop but i must admit i enjoy having something to take my son to at least once a week with children his same age and close to home as our friends are half an hour to an hour drive and i would like to do somethings close to home each week .
Hi Brandy - we are a mothers group too. While we don't physically meet up we do chat a lot here. You are welcome to join us for a chat or pose a question any time you like. There are some girls in our group from Sydney and I think they meet in person from time to time. I go to a mothers group in my neighbourhood. We are a large-ish group and are still in the process of getting to know eachother. Maybe persist while you look for another group who you are more comfortable with.
Thanks Trish & Julia she is due for her 6 month needles in 6 days, so I'll wait & see how she is tomorrow & if no better will take her the docs.
If it just teething she can have her needles & be extra cranky at me lol
She's not cranky all the time only 70% the other 30% she's all smiles.
Brandy-I never really clicked with my mums group but i think that's because I'm 22 & the were in their 30's, So we didn't have a lot in common.
Rebecca-When Maddi had it she never really got over till she was 4 months old.
It would clear up & then a few mornings later it would be back again.
Ouch on the bill.
In other news Maddi pretty much sits up by herself now, she only falls when reaching for something or if she's too busy watching something & forgets she's sitting up lol.
ETA-Ange I would love a meet-up :)
Hi Brandy
I would persist. Especially if you enjoy taking your boy to something once a week that is close to home.
You are not always going to like everyone you meet so maybe you can get to know people one at a time and get to know them better rather than try and 'fit in' with a group of people. Is your mothers group big? Is it diverse, as in are the mums much older or younger than you?
I love going to my mothers group but there will always be people that I enjoy talking to rather than others. It's good though to compare notes with people going through the same thing as you....AND you always have to remember if people are dishing out their opinions / advice you only have to take it with a pinch of salt.
You can always chat on here too...it's fun! We are all going through the same things as well. We even both have Max's! :)
Hi,
Trish - sorry to hear you guys are still unwell :( healing thoughts coming your way.
Julia - wow swimming! Amara hates cool water, she screamed when I put her foot in at the beach LOL! I haven't even taken Eliza yet. We tried once or twice and honestly the screaming did my head in and she learnt nothing. We will try again next summer.
Rebecca - bugger about the eyes :( poor love. Does your GP have any advice? OMG on the Elec bill! Was it from the air con? BTW we are still wrapping arms and all in too :)
Kellie - I used to take Eliza to Gymbaroo. It was OK until she got mobile and then she just wanted to crawl away all the time and cracked the mega tantys when we had o do group stuff so I stopped the agony LOL. I do take Amara to a thing here called Parents As Teachers which is similar but not as structured, she likes seeing the other babies.
Celtic - OMG I would not have lasted the day with your relos! That is just rude, he is your son after all!!!! How did you go at the Drs?
Brandy - Hi and welcome. I did go to a Mothers Group with my first daughter and no I did not gel with many of the Mum's but I did persist as I did like a couple of them and Eliza enjoyed it. This time I did not go to one at all but I do have 2 friends with young babies so maybe that counts? :)
Mo - WTG Maddi!!! Wow sitting!! Amara does not even roll yet :(
Happy Anniversaries to everyone who has one this month!
Question for today - Can I ask if anyone else's bub is going through a mega waking up at night phase? I thought I had the dream baby and then 5 months comes around and whammo we now wake at 9.30pm, 12mn - 1am, 3-4am and then around 6am. I am absolutely dead tired and a cranky mummy :(. I called my MCHN and asked about food and she said maybe try it but nutritionally breastmilk is giving her all she needs and that the rice cereal really adds nothing at this stage. I am trying to persist for a few more days and hope its a growth spurt or another "phase" (don't you love that explanation?). Anyone else have this? any advice?
Night,
Morning everyone! Kieran decided it was time to get up at 6:30am this morning, yuck!
Leah - YESSS!!! Kieran has been going through that and is just coming out the other side. He went through a "phase" of waking at 1am, 3am, then feeding around 4am. I was feeling like a zombie everyday! I know what the MCHN told you about solids, but since I have been giving K rice cereal consistantly everyday (only a small amount) he has started only waking at around 4 - 4:30am for his feed and then goes back to sleep. I'm not 100% sure if it is the solids, but it all started happening around the same time and my MCHN told me that solids may help him sleep longer! Annoying how they all give you different advice. He woke frequently for 3 or 4 weeks and has only just started sleeping longer over the last 4 or 5 nights. I REALLY hope you get some better sleep soon, I know exactly how you are feeling!
Mo - I hope Maddi is feeling better today. What a clever girl sitting up!
Brandy - Welcome! Re: mothers groups, I liked mine when I had my first DS and made some great friends, I don't go to one with my second bub, but I find the girls in here great! Could you talk to your MCHN and ask her about other groups?
Saffi - Did you end up with Barrimundi last night? We bought some while we were up there last time, yummmm! Whereabouts is the place you are staying at located? Is it close to the main drag? We've stayed at The Portsea which is a bit further out from the town centre and we've also stayed at a place closer to the shops, but I can't remember the name of it! I'm soooo jealous of you right now!
Julia - It sounds like Max is teething, the poor thing. Have you tried putting SM33 on his gums? I've heard it works much better than Bonjela.
Rebecca - Yikes on the electricity bill!!! Poor Caitlyn, I hope her eye clears up soon.
So cute, I heard laughing and Joel was lying on the floor next to K, he'd put a blanket over them both and K was giggling at him, awww....
Morning all
Leah & Saffi-Unfortunately I think the bill was up because I was home so much for the first month of the bill and seeing the average temp in December/January period out here is close to 40 the air cons were on pretty much all the time. the one if C's room was on 24/7 for sure. Its just too hot out here to not have them on. I opened the window in her room the afternoon that I got the elec bill and it almost instantly felt like an oven and then the wind blew and a big cloud of red dust blew in the window covering everyting in the room! :wall: So windows being open are not an option right now. we have just been put on level 5 water restrictions because our dam is at less than 10%. Hmmmm I would have thought level5 should have come in a while ago!
Leah-Caitlyn wakes at about 10, 12,3 and 5 every day and has done so for ages. Most of the time its just a matter of popping her dummy in or giving her a bottle, or wrapping her again but this morning when she woke at 530 and didnt go back to sleep at all. Oh and all the GP says about her eye is keep persevering with the drops. Daycare are happy for her to be there as long as there is no green stuff coming from her eye - which there isnt (touch wood!)
What are you wrapping bubby in>? and what is she wearing under the wrap? I am using a cot sheet at the moment cause she REALLY wants to get those arms out and am dressing her in a short sleeved jumpsuit. Thursday night is going to be a fun night for me though because I am going to trial her unwrapped. figured the long weekend was proabbyl the best time to do it! Wish me luck!
anyway - time to go get something to eat before work. Enjoy your day everyone. mwah
brandy - i totally get your mother's group thing. just because you have babies the same age, doesn't mean you would ever hang out any other time. don't feel bad about that - i have it badly too. i think the beauty of virtual mother's group is that at least we have our geeky love of the internet in common if nothing else.
i don't go to any other mother's group and i consider starting my own with birds of a feather - but i seriously question whether there are any birds like me... (what does that say, i wonder?)
for those with wakeful babies - the little d00d woke 45 minutes after going down last night crying hard, then at 2.30 absolutely crying/screaming. i bolted into his room with a massive shot of adrenalin because he never cries like that. he was sooo upset. he then slept until 5.30 (leak) and fell asleep on me on the sofa while i was feeding him for 45minutes. he certainly wasn't very happy last night.
i think the babies really suffer too when their sleep is interrupted. i can't see any teeth stubs but i do wonder if my chewy/drool pants is in the process.
Trish - hope you and K get better soon!! It must be terrible being sick on top of the general tiredness of motherhood!!
Brandy - Welcome! Hope you find support and friendship in here.
Viv - That's amazing! It is a small world. I love Meg - she's great! I love watching her dance - she's such a perfect little ballerina! Are you planning on getting back into some dancing?
Saffi - Hope you are having a lovely time in Port Douglas - it is also one of my favourite places - I grew up in Innisfail which isn't far away from there. Kuranda markets are beautiful - you'll love them! Hope you had some fish for dinner!
Well I am a bit excited - Teo seems to be extending his waking time: 3 nights ago 3am, next night 4am and last night 4:30am - YEY!!! Just need to get to 7am now!! :-)
Have a good day everyone! xo
who's still getting fed at night?
star - i wiiiish i could go back to mad although mr cheeney will need to be off the boob also. i can't imagine boinging round and spraying milk everywhere. i'm down the coast now so i'd have to plan carefully my trips. the other thing is that Anthony Ikin's outfit down here do classes too, so i may go there (you might remember him from so you think you can dance)
Not us Viv, Maddi is a great sleeper at night, but during the day she is so demanding.
Trish Maddi had me up 6am, so i know how ya feel. How cute is Joel sounds like he loves being a big brother.
Leah-Hope Amara starts sleeping better again.
Afternoon Ladies,
Well I am feeling much better and am ready to take on the world (maybe).
Had a good night last night. Ethan only woke up twice and then slept until 7 am Yay!!.
I can't remember who but someone was saying the other day that their bub is supermaning already. Ethan did it today for the first time. Not sure if it was a fluke or what but he is getting very frustrated that he can't crawl yet.
Who feels like their bub is growing too fast? Me, me and me! I am starting to want another baby which is probably a little crazy. Oh well. My kidney specialist would kill me if a get pregnant already. Under strict instructions to wait at least another month. I don't supose our finances would cope too well either.
Hope you are all having a great day.
Hiya,
Rebecca - yes we also use a cot sheet and sometimes an extra wide muslin I made for the purpose :) Underneath is a short romper or just a tee shirt and nappy, usually socks though as Miss A MUST have her feet sticking out the end LOL.
Viv - yes we are still feeding at night. Last night was better though just the 3am feed and then thru to 7ish :)
alz - yes yes yes, Amara is growing overnight!!! Every day she seems bigger!
Took them both shopping today, Amara screamed and Eliza went feral. We left and came home......sigh
xxx
Leah- we have just gotten over that phase. Lu was waking 2-3 times a night. I asked around and it seemed a fairly common 5th month thing. Wonder if that is a 'wonder week'? Fortunately we are back to normal.
Viv- Feed at 6.30pm then somewhere between 5 and 7am. Sometimes she wakes around 10.30pm, if she does i'll give her a quick feed in the hope she will sleep through. Sometimes she wakes around 2-3am but not often. If she does i feed her b/c i'm too lazy to try and settle her in the middle of the night!!!
Mo- I would get maddi checked, a friend put some ear tugging down to teething. Turned out to be a nasty ear infection. Better to be safe and all that. Will be in Frankston in a couple of weeks if your keep to catch up. Can show you some more nappies too.
Brandy- Yeah i hear you on the mothrs group thing. I got really lucky with my first one so still meet up with them. My second one the girs aren't really my kinda gals, but it is nice to get out of the house, so i'll keep going for a while.
In other news, the caterpillar has now turned into crawl. Have to strap her into the high chair to keep her still. Got a jolly jmper, that keeps her entertained and in one place for a while too. Thinking i need one of those baby cages ! ;)
Ange-I would love that, I got my swaddlebee's, BumG & wet bag today.
The SwaddleB's look really cute.
WTG Lu on the crawling M tries but then gives up, i think i can wait for the crawling stage at least in till we are moved in the bigger place.
Alz-I think M is growing way too fast.
Maddi seems to be better still tugging at her ear slightly, but not as cranky.
Went Easter shopping & brought M some toys & eggs for everyone else.
Also got her a cute bunny outfit.
Afternoon everyone!!
What another boring day at work! I did check out the centrelink website yesterday and it looks as though we would be worse off if I didnt work so....5 hours a day will continue. I suppose I shouuldnt complain - i surf the net for most of the day at the moment! But I am jealous of all you mums who get to spend so much time with their bubs! although it does make me cherish the weekends more!
Viv- We are still feeding at night here - usually around midnight. sometimes we have a real fluke and she stays down until around 3 but then she will feed and I wont be able to get her back to sleep until it is time for us all to get up. :wall:
Mothers group-I so wish I had been able to go to one! As it is now I talk to all the mums at day care but our babies are of such different ages and stages.
Swimming-Of course the pool out here doesnt do lessons for anyone under 5!! So I guess that is out. And we cant even go to our local dam anymore. they have banned all water activities.
Wow for all those babies attempting to get crawling. Caitlyn still doesnt roll - she still hates tummy time. the ladies at day care put her on her tummy quite a bit but she just ends up crying alot!
Oh - have fogotten that I have washign to hang out. Chat later.
mwah
Hi girls!
So much to catch up on! Have been lurking a bit but havent had the brain capacity to put anything into words:redface:! Myles is still up most the night wanting feeds! I adore BF him but am so over only getting a couple of hours here and there!
Anyway I hope you all have a wonderfull easter and get some well deserved rest! We are camping so it should be great fun with an almost crawling bub! But on the up side i will get lots of rest cause my mum and aunts are coming too so will have lots of baby sitters:) I also bought a bumbo well not the bumbo brand a different one to take camping and he is so cute in it!
Terri can i come to dance classes with you! I miss them so much!
Mo hope maddi gets better soon!
Ange woohoo on Lu crawling!
Brandy welcome to our own lil mummies group! Hope you enjoy it here!
Trish your boys sound adorable! Cant wait to add to my brood:)
Nerida hope you have a lovely time up ther in goregous port douglas! We will have to get together when you get back!
Sorry if i missed anyone!
Will try to get back later x
Viv - we're still feeding at night here too and can't see that ending any time soon to be honest.
Just waiting for L to wake from his nap then we're bathing the kids and putting them in the car to drive up to mum and dads.
Hope you all have a happy Easter!!
"See" you all when we get back on Tuesday.
Willow - like you signature pic - is that a Tots cover? I just ordered a new Berry Bamboo Delight and a Blosson Bumgenius while they are on sale oh and a new Ellas House Bumhugger 'cos I lurve them :)
Waaaaaa AF returned today...............waaaaaaaaaaaaaa again. I was hoping it would stay away longer. I thought night feeding made it stay away not come back!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
Off to have a tanty.....
Evening all
Had a great day today. Went up to Kuranda on the cable car above the rainforest. Amazing. Going to go out to Green Island in the next couple of days. L has been so good given his routine has been totally put out.
Terri - went to Kuranda - very disappointing. I lived in Mareeba for a while so went to the markets regularly. They were so much better 25 years ago LOL. Now just full of Australian souveniers made in China.
Trish - Pool is on St Crispins Dr. It is back past the Mirage. The boys caught fish but they had a catch and release policy. Brought back one fish, a Grunter which they cooked on the BBQ and was really nice.
Viv - we are still up at least twice a night and we do a dream feed most nights before I go to bed and then feed him when he wakes between 2 - 4am.
Amber - yes, a catch up is in order before I go back to work in May. have a nice camping holiday.
Leah - bummer on AF. God only knows when she'll visit me.
L is doing the superman thing too. He is trying really hard to bring his legs underneath himself. Expect that any time now he will be crawling all over the place. Yes, they are growing so fast. Never thought I'd say that I miss my little newborn (but not the constant crying).
Morning all, we had a shocking night! DH and Joel went out for dinner for FIL's b'day. I didn't go because I didn't want to take a grumpy and tired K (not much fun). They came home and DH said that Joel ate all his dinner which I thought unusual lol! At 12:30am Joel made some noise and I went in and he said "mummy I'm not well". He says that most nights for attention so I didn't think much of it until 1am when he started up again and then started vomitting . I made DH get up to help clean everything up. Joel then didn't want to go back to his own bed so he came into bed with us, but DH couldn't sleep so he slept in Joel's bed. So in amongst that and K waking numerous times after his 4am feed I'm feeling pretty tired today! I'm not happy, I'm sure it is because MIL would have been constantly trying to feed Joel, this is the third time he has vomitted o'night because MIL has made him eat too much . I'm normally there to tell her "no, Joel has had enough"!
Sorry for the selfish start to my post!
Saffi - That cable car sounds awesome! We have never been on it because of the $$$. We usually hire a car and drive up to the Daintree for a day. Oh, I'm still so jealous of you!!!
Leah - Sorry to hear AF has made her arrival . I hope mine doesn't come back any time soon!
Willow - Have a great time away with your family!
Amber - I hope you have a great time away camping! Where are you off to?
Rebecca - Bummer you can't give up work :(. Joel hated tummy time up until he could commando crawl (around 6 months) so don't worry about Caitlyn. Joel was crawling properly by 8 months so he was right on track. Oh and I still wrap K completely too. He is starting to get out of his wrap and not care though so I'm sure we can turf it soon.
Mo - I'm glad Maddi is on the mend. Can't wait to see a pic of her in her bunny outfit!
Ange - Wow, how clever is Lu getting around! Sadly once they start moving they never stop!!
Alz - Glad you're starting to feel better. Yep, I feel like my bub is growing too fast as well!
Viv - K is still fed o'night *sigh*. He gets a dream feed at 9:30pm and then wakes around 4 - 4:30am for a feed. How are your toes recovering?
Star - That's great Mateo is sleeping longer stretches! He will be sleeping through before you know it.
Hope you all have a great day!!!
aww trish what a terrible night you must have had:( I hope your lil man gets better soon! Poor lil joel how yucky, hope he feels better for the easter bunny to come;) We are off to somerset dam for waterskiing! Just crossing fingers it doesnt rain:)
Well im packed and ready! Am just waiting for DH to get home so we can leave, so i am wasting time doing the gdunh and wanting to spend lots of money but DH has lowered the limit on our credit card boohoo! So will just fry my brain searching for the icons!
Have a great day everyone x
trish - toes are healing like champs. thanks for asking. i will be able to get a pedi soon and maybe even display them... ooh, just in time for winter
little man hit a hungry patch last night and pick up his 2am feed again. meh. will have to tank him up today.
and for the refluxers/chuckers out there - having curbed dairy and chocolate has made a huge difference. he just does normal baby possets now with the occasional hurl. it's not cured but it's certainly managed.
Trish - sorry to hear you had such a horrible night! Hope today is a good one for you
Amber - have a great time camping
Saffi - your making me even more jealous!
Viv - glad to hear your chucking troubles are getting sorted out
I finally convinced my DH to get an ergo, so we did, and we took Tahlia out in it yesterday to Target and she loved it! No grizzling like what she does on the pram, however, I had a wet patch on my tshirt from the drool! and its way better on my back then the other one I had
Tahlia is properly rolling around now, she did it a couple of weeks ago, but then hadn't done it since. On Tuesday we were at my mums and she rolled and cracked it, so I flipped her back and she just kept on rolling. Tuesday night I got up to check on her, and she was fast asleep on her tummy with her face planted into the mattress... it freaked me out, I rolled her back over just to make sure she was breathing! I'll be much more relaxed when she can go back the other way too!
Kellie love your ticker pic! Myles sucks on the ergo too and there is always slobber all over it! Our bubs are alike myles sleeps on his tummy sometimes too its so scary when you go in and they are on their tummies upside down!
Viv so glad james isnt"hurling" as much! Hope he sleeps better tonight:)!
Trish Sry you had abad night, hope tonight is better.
Amber have fun camping.
Kellie congrats on the ergo.
Viv glad J isn't as chucky anymore.
Kellie- lol at drool patch. Am impressed you can get the ergo on your back. I can never wrestle it on my own so still wear her on the front. i always put a facewasher on my cleavage now. The dribble down the grand canyon was too much to cope with. Not to mention the occasional spew.
When Lu started rolling in her cot it freaked me out too. sometimes she sleeps face down. Until she could roll both ways i used to put rolled up towels at her hips running down her legs to stop her rolling. You can put them under the sheet if you like. I didn't bother, but having them there certainly let me sleep better.
Have fun camping Amber- we were supposed to be heading off too but DH has to work. Crap. Lu and i going down the coast tomorrow for the night instead.
Any of you QLD gals know a nice place to stay for a week in Mooloolaba?
No news here really.......Think i need knee pads for the girls red knees. Maybe we need more carpet. MAybe they'll just toughen up in their own time!
Night. Hope your night is better Trish.
Hi everyone,
Had a great day today. Ethan slept for 2 hours this morning (without needing me to resettle) and about 2.5 hours late this afternoon. Only napped for 40 min in the middle of the day but we were out.
Had lunch with some friends and their bubs today which was great fun. I enjoyed watching all the bubs on the floor together. How cute.
E took an hour to settle tonight but am not complaining after his great day.
Did the groceries this afternoon and woolies was jam packed because of the public holiday tomorrow. It looks like people are stocking up for the 1 day that the shops are closed. Don't get it!!!
We are going away for the weekend up the mountains so it will be chilly but that is a great change from the extremely hot syd weather we have been having.
Have a great easter everyone. Will chat with you all when I get back.:D
Viv - Glad your toes are better. A pedicure sounds like heaven.
Kellie - Glad Tahlia loves the Ergo ;). I tried K out in his yesterday and it was wonderful. I laughed when I saw you can buy suck pads for them, I thought "just a sales thing", but the first thing K did when I put him in it was suck on the straps lol! Love Tahlia's ticker photo, so gorgeous!
Ange - Is Lu crawling fully on her knees now? I can't believe it if she is!!
Alz - Glad you had a great day. I sent my DH out to the shops this evening at 8:45pm for last minute stuff lol! It was too hard to take two sick boys out to the shops and DH didn't get home from work until 8:30pm. Have a lovely time up in the mountains :)
About to give K his dream feed, can't wait to go to bed!!!
Trish - what a terrible night! What is it with MIL's wanting to feed their grandchildren? Mine gave Teo a lolly snake to suck on while on hols in VIC - was not happy I can tell you! Poor little Joel! I hope you can catch up on a bit of sleep tonight.
Amber - have a great time camping and skiing!! And I would love for you to come to dance with me - that's be awesome! Perhaps when we can get our little critters off our boobs just for one feed it will be doable!!
Viv - Mateo is still waking for a feed anywhere between 3 and 5am. I don't think I will cut out that feed until he is on proper solids. I tried just settling him without feeding a couple nights in a row a while back but he just screamed until I fed him, so I figure he must be hungry! It doesn't bother me as he goes straight back to sleep anyway - it's only when he wakes for more than one feed that it becomes exhausting!
Ange - sounds like Lu is well and truly up and about! Clever girl! Mateo is trying really hard to get up on hands and knees but not quite there yet - mind you he's pretty good at getting around anyway - it's so cute watching them trying to get something- the pure determination!
Night all. xo
Ange - I definitely cant get it on my back either, I meant that its better on my back in that it doesn't hurt my back. I watched the dvd on how to put it on your back, but I reckon you need an extra arm!
Wow.... moving babies everywhere. Max is just a big fat BLOB!
Tyron as we speak is wriggline around the loungroom! he's not near crawling but just rolling and sliding around the place!
i have been MIA for a few days i was desperatly searching for a particular cake tin for Nixon's birthday, it was driving me nuts and finally got one from U.s today so hope it gets shipped to me in time!
i am now looking at another i might buy to have as a backup for just in case, then i can use it for another yr or for Tyron.
Hope everyone has a great Easter! did u guys buy anything for bubs? I just got some bunny ears for him thats it??
nickers - i think you mentioned you were expressing 2 feeds a day. what was that like with engorgement etc? did you have any issues. just asking for when i start cutting the boy back. i would mind still doing night and morning but not sure if it will be a disaster.
Hi,
Trish & Ange - thanks for letting me know its not just us! She has been a bit better the last 2 nights. I have resisted giving her food yet, I would really like to wait until 6 months.
Trish - you poor love - hope Joel is better. MIL's mweh! Mine is 800 km away and that is not far enough!
Ange - Lu is moving OMG!!! Amara is still a slug LOL! I like the omage of a face washer down the cleavage - very chic  DH's Pop lives in Mooloolaba but not sure you would like to stay with him rofl!
Rebecca - how did the no-wrapping go on Thursday?
Mo - love the pic in your ticker :)
Boomba & Willow - have fun away
Viv - glad to hear the diet has made some difference to the chucking. I noticed you mentioned cutting the boy back - are you going to some BF some bottle? Amara still won't take a bottle even with EBM. Not that I really need her to but thought I'd try.
Kellie - we also love our Ergo. I used it heaps with Eliza. I have not used it so much with Amara yet as I prefer the sling or Scootababy now, but as soon as I can get her on the back carry the Ergo will be the one!
alz - have fun! I also sent DH to the shops - I could not face it.
Star - WTG Mateo, so many clever moving babies....Amara is not even rolling yet.
Julia - as above...maybe Amara and Max were born on a non-moving day LOL!
Nic - hope to see a pic of the special cake! Nuh nothing for bubba, she will get her chocolate infused milk from me
Hope everyones Easter is going well. DH wen t and bought some choccie rabbits and proceeded to drop the bag when he walked in the kitchen so we now have a container of various chocolate pieces for easter!! Grrrrr. I am going tomorrow to buy Eliza another rabbit so she can actually see what it looks like.
We are having a few friends over tomorrow for a BBQ. 4 friends of mine I have known since Year 8 at High School. It is 20 years this year since we finished Year 12!!! OMG I am ancient.................
