Hey kids, sorry I haven't been around much. Making an effort to spend less time on BB these days. Haven't caught up fully so forgive my pathetic personals!

Trish - glad the rash has gone! L had one today on his cheeks, thinking it could have been the spag bol he had for dinner

Claire - am thinking of going to the sydney meet, wish is wasn't so bloody far away though!

Food - been pondering brekkie a lot lately. Gave him weet bix one day then freaked out thinking it was too early for wheat??!! He doesn't rate the baby cereals AT ALL....so normal grown up porridge is OK? Lunch is usually vegies or pasta or something similar. Sometimes a bit of fruit. He's having cereal with fruit and a bit of raisin toast for brekkie, vegies, meat and pasta for dinner most nights. Solids going much better these days. Still a boob maniac though!

Sleep - after a horrendous few weeks when he was sick and waking himself up constantly by coughing (Kellie - we were going through it the same time as Tahlia, the spewing and all, fun no??) things are settling back down. Still not sleeping through the night and you know what? I'm finally over it! I don't care! The boy doesn't sleep through, so sue him Going to keep truckin on knowing that I'm doing the best for my boy. He doesn't cope at all being left to cry so I just won't do it. He's doing 4-5.5 hr blocks overnight and that's good enough for me. Sleeping well during the day. Getting a copy of No Cry Sleep Solution asap, just don't have the cash at the mo (which reminds me, Ange, sending your book back to you this week babe, thanks again!)

Other stuff - cutting two top teeth. Both are nearly through and giving him holy hell. He's been sleeping OK but constantly rubbing his face and mouth and biting everything - including his 6 month old cousin

And lordy, but the boy is pulling himself up on furniture etc and standing...****, he'll be walking way before I'm ready!!

Having his 6 month needles tomorrow...whoops, better late than never!

    Hey all

Came home early from work to find my boys have gone out somewhere. So I have a few moments of peace before the night time routine begins.

Really tired today as L was making a lot of noise overnight. I fed him at 10pm, and then DH had to feed him again at 4.30am. I know we shouldn't be giving him so much milk but then again he doesn't really eat a lot of solids. What to do???

Rebecca - Still sterilising bottles, teats etc here. Also still using cooled boiled water to make up his bottles and also his sippy cup. I believe boiled water is supposed to be used until 12 months. Suppose I could give up the sterilising. Don't sterilise the dummies anymore.
Sweet corn is tinned baby puree. I looked at the adult tinned corn and it has added salt and sugar. I did buy some corn cobs to do my own but haven't got there yet and its a bit old now I haven't given L citrus yet but I would think a manadrine might be good for her to suck on (pips removed).

We give L the Rafferty's Garden Banana porridge. Did try the Multigrain one which he didn't like. Not sure if he was just off his brekky that week or not. Might try it again as getting low on the banana stuff.

Anyway, here my boys coming in so better go.

Thanks Viv & Mo! I am still sterilising the bottles/teats but have become really really lax about dummies (damn the things!). We are definitely still doing the cooled boiled water thing - store bought water of course - the town water here is 50% bore water at the moment and destined to get worse!
We had a really good night last night. Put little one down at 630 and she slept until 630! Woohoo. I dont mind getting up in the middle of the night anymore - its normally only once. But I REALLY don't mind not getting up at all.
I am DESPERATELY waiting for my friend Taz who is due tomorrow to call me with the good news! She is being very stubborn!!! Bubs that is not Taz - she has tried everything!!! Hot food, sex, walking, boiuncing! EVERYTHING!!!
Anyway - had better head off and do some work! Have a great day all - am sure I will be checking in at some stage - dont have much to do here today - as per usual!
