NEWS FLASH!!!! L decided he would give us a birthday present.... He stood by himself!!!!! And what's more we got it on video!!!!!!
Other firsts today, we let L crawl around the garden and he got into the garden beds, chasing the dogs around the yard and eating bark. Big day.
This time last year I was having contractions. Unlike last year I will be sleeping tonight (unless L decides otherwise). L was born at 8.10pm (the next night) so I won't need to stay up. Might crack open a bottle of bubbles tho....
DH and I have the day off tomorrow so we are going to an indoor playcentre to celebrate. L's party is next Saturday.
Caden's party was great. he was such a good boy, only bopped his head once and was happy and jolly all day. The cousins kept handing him balloons on string which kept him entertained for ages and at one stage I thought he might lift off, lol.
He also stood up himself. He has been walking for two months now but the weekend was the first time he actually stood up by himself. He normally pulls himself up on something
He is cutting his bottom left molar so is a bit grizzly and snuffly but otherwise is good.

Well we had the boy's birthday party yesterday and they had lots of fun. Joel had a great time playing with all his friends. The boys got SOOOO much stuff, we are regretting we didn't say "no presents" on the invites LOL! I have no idea where we will put it all. K got heaps of cute Fisher Price toys and he has had fun playing with them today, he definitely likes the packaging more though . We're all very tired ATM, I'm glad it's all over and done with!
K has finally decided to only crawl on hands and knees now. He already could, but preferred to commando crawl because it's heaps faster on our floor boards LOL! When he plays outside he crawls on his hands and knees because it's easier. On Saturday he spent the whole day outside in the garden and ever since then he has stayed on his hands and knees even indoors, he's so strange!
Dragonbub - I'm glad Caden's party went well. He's so clever standing up by himself! K is a long way off doing that!
Kim - I hope you had a lovely day with Jasmine yesterday, her party sounds like it went really well!
Julia - How is Max feeling today? I personally would get his needles done after you get back, there is no rush. But do what you feel is right!
Celtic - Wow, Ryan is a big boof LOL! I thought K would have weighed more than 9.5kg because he is so chubby! I'm getting K's 12 month needles done in another week or so, not looking forward to it! I've also got to get Joel's 4 year old needles at the same time, it's not going to be a fun day.
Mo - Thinking of your mum today for her MRI. I hope you find some answers soon, it's horrible not knowing what is going on. Let us know how she goes.

I am glad all three kids had a great birthday. Its so much work for a day that goes by way to quickly. But in saying that, that pretty much sums up their first year.
Quiet in here again! Im just waiting for a message from a friend of mine. She is now 5 days overdue, and due to be induced tomorrow night. She's hoping to go naturally before then so I have my fingers crossed that something happens tonight LOL. So mysterious these people who keep the sex of their babies and names and everything from us!!!!! LOL
Wow, so we must almost be through all our October babies? Who is left?
Trish - YAY for K and his crawling! They all do it when they are ready hey? How old was Joel when he walked?
Nerida - YAY to you too for L standing on his own! Do you mean he stood there on his own or he actually stood himself up on his own (if that makes sense)..
Anyway, my sis is out of hospital today so we are going over to spend the day with her tomorrow. Other than that, not much else planned. How about everyone else???
