what are you gonnado with myles amber?
Mum will be having him Its only from 2 to 5!
Kate Maddi is still very much a Mummy's girl.
Amber yay for Myles walking more & good luck starting back at the shops.
At least you get to spend more time with your DH.
Edit- No names picked out yet, think she'll only have a name after she's born.
Woo hoo Mo that is fantastic news!!!1 Congrats!!! And I am so sorry to hear about your Mum. Once again, I admire how strong you are with all of this. Your dealing with a lot! Im glad your happy with your little bundle!!
Mo - congratulations! A little sister for Maddi. At least you know what to expect with a girl, have all the clothes already, and a shortlist of names from last time. I'm sorry to hear about your Mum. Its not getting any easier is it?
Amber - It'll be fine. Myles will be fine with your Mum and you will enjoy the time in the shop.
Trish - you have such a clever boy there. I can't believe all the things that he does. I am constantly amazed by L's development but I reckon you have a genius there. Glad you had a good mini-break.
Rebecca - sorry to hear C is upset at the moment. I hope those teeth break through soon.
Kate - haven't noticed any change in L since his 12 months shots. L doesn't seem to have a preference of DH over I. He does tend to reach for me when he is upset. He is in his element at the moment being the centre of attention of both DH, me, and his grandparents.
Dragon - I vary on when we'll start TTC for #2. Thinking maybe June next year, but I don't know..... Congrats on the return to work.
Kellie - sorry to hear Tahlia is sick. Its a constant thing here with L being at daycare but is doesn't make it any easier.
Becky - hi ya!
Kim - if you're lurking Happy Birthday. Hope you have a great day.
We're having a great time here in Noosa. Today it has been raining so have stuck close to the unit. Even had an afternoon sleep which was so nice. L is being really good with the chnage in his routine. He was a bit unsettled the first night, but last night he slept through. Can't believe how much stuff we have just for L - high chair, pram, portacot, food, etc.
Funny story - DH and my step-Dad loaded up the car for our trip. L was strapped into the car seat and Mum was in the car ready to go. The back of the hire car was full with our luggage. I was just doing a final check of the house and checked underneath the house where I noticed the pram, the highchair and the portacot were still there! Men!
Anyway, better go and get L's dinner ready.
It's just heart breaking seeing her like that.
She has no idea why she's in there & i just keep thinking what if they can't help her will she eventually forget who we all are.
Wish i could be like my Sister & Aunties and hide away in another state and pretend nothing is happening.
Thanks for all the Congrats still so excited about it, I always wanted a sister when growing up(mine are 17 & 19yrs old than me).
Maddi looked just like me when she was born so i wonder who Cookie will look like.
We never had a short list of names for Maddi. Maddison was the only named we picked.
So far we have
Dakota
Harmony
Taya
Lily
Tori
Rori
Opinions & other names are welcome and wanted!
We are looking for something different but not had to pronounce like my name.
Or Just something that sounds really pretty & goes well with Maddison.
Mo I love Lily! Maddi and Lily sound good together! Also like Rori! Ohhh i want another baby!
:hug: for you and your mum it must be so hard hun! xxx
Morning all,
Well I am feeling much better. Had a great nights sleep so all is good with the world.
Ethan is being wierd today. He slept all night, woke up at 7 (we had to drive daddy to work because of swimming lessons) and then whinged through breakfast. I put him back to bed and he crashed. Very unlike him. Oh well I am not complaining. It is nice to have some time to myself.
Mo- CONGRATULATIONS!!!! How exciting another girl. I love your list of names. My favs are Lily and Rori. It is so much fun thinking of names. We have only just started TTC but dh and I are already thinking of names for the next one. I should be the hard one to please as I am a teacher and there is a list of names a mile long that I will not call my children. Dh is even worse. Oh well, it came naturally when Ethan was born. He had a short list but when we saw him I said that he was an Ethan and Dh agreeed.
As far as clingy babies go - yes Ethan is very clingy with daddy. He doesn't come to me much at all anymore unless dad is at work. You should have heard the screams when we dropped dh off at work this morning. He sobbed half the way home. A bit rejecting isn't it.
Anyway I am going to do some housework before my little spunk wakes up.
Have a great day girls.
Thanks ladies :) I think once we see her it should be easier to pick her name.
Anyone got suggestions for middle names?
In other news Maddi now sleeps in her cot all night, next step is to try move her out of my room.
Alz at least you got a nice little break while Ethan slept.
Mo - It must be so hard on you with your mum atm, I hope things start getting better . Out of your names I love the name Lily the best, I have two friends with Lily's! One is named Lily Jewel, I'm not sure of the other's middle name. Lily sounds so nice with Maddison :D
Saffi - I'm glad you're having such a nice time in Noosa! I wish I was there right now! Man, lucky you went and double checked and found L's gear before you left!! K is a clever boy, but don't all mums think that about their bubs? LOL! This morning I gave him the remote control and he pointed it at the TV and pressed the buttons hee hee!
alz - I'm glad you're feeling better today. Maybe Ethan's coming down with something? Hopefully a good sleep will make him feel better.
Amber - Enjoy going back to work! I'm sure Myles will love being with your mum!
Kellie - Poor Tahlia with her cough, I hope she's feeling a bit better today.
Rebecca - Poor Caitlyn! I hope she is on the mend, if it's her molars they can cause so much pain so maybe that's why she's so unsettled. Hopefully the Brauer's Teething Relief works, I've also heard that teething tablets work well, but I'm not sure what brand they are.
Not much happening here, I have a really sore back so I'm taking it a bit easy. Stoopid pelvis, it is out of sorts after our camping trip. Our good friends bought a caravan the other day so we are planning to go camping at Phillip Island in a couple of weeks time. They have two boys too, their eldest is Joel's age so I'm sure they will have lots of fun together!
Well Caitlyn seems to have recovered completely from whatever it was that was bothering her! Off to daycare today with a little grin on her cheeky face like nothing had happened! I have a feeling her molars are moving around and that is what is causing her so much trouble. Went to the chemist to get the teething relief but of course - they don't have it!! Oh bring on March!
Mo - I have absoluetly no suggestions for a name - we had sooo much trouble just getting Caitlyn's name that I would hate to think of another girls name! sorry can't be any help!
Trish - I hope your back is feeling better soon......massages and a nice long soak are my prescription for you - but if you are anythign like me they are unlikely to happen!!
Hi all.
Just got back from needles... poor little thing... Actually she was quite brave. For the first 2, she didnt even flinch. Not a sound but the last one she screamed so loud! Poor little thing. Only for a bout a minute though an as soon as she saw the bubbles she was fine. Now she is fast asleep...
Mo - Oh how exciting!!! To be honest Im not a huge fan of Lily. I think it is becoming waaaay to popular. Maybe for a middle name though it would be nice? I really like Taya, that is gorgeous! And Dakota goes well with Maddi too I think! Then again, Tori and Rori are nice and unusual too! Good luck.
Ok I have a few things to do while the kids are down and will try to get back later for personals. X
Thanks for the opinions ladies :)
Another ? do you think i should wait to the boxing day sale's to get all the things we need.
Will it be worth it? Do you think i'll want to tackle the crowds at 27wks preg with a toddler?
Mo - What sort of things do you need? Target are having a huge sale on nursery items and clothing atm (I just got back from buying the boys some clothes) so it might be worth just looking out for good sales? Toys 'R Us have great baby things and usually have good sales from time to time. The Boxing Day sales can be pretty full-on, but if you think you can handle it, it may be worth a go. Can anyone look after Maddi while you are shopping?
Becky - Poor Chelsea, it feels good when they're over and done with though doesn't it?!
Rebecca - I'm glad Caitlyn's better today. A bath and massage sound great, but I don't like my chance!!!
We need to buy a new pram thinking a P&T, car seat, possibly a basinette & just some little stuff.
I might be able to find someone to look after her. I may just end up buying some of the stuff next week, just to get it over with.
Do the baby stores do sales on Boxing day on things like P&T prams? I wouldn't think they would, but it may be worth giving them a call to find out if it's worth waiting for. Target have a sale on car seats, there was a Fisher Price one discounted from $300 down to $179 in their catalogue (you can view the catalogue on their website target.com.au). I have the CUTEST bassinette ATM Mo! It can be carried around and it plays music and has a nightlight. I just set it up out of the box the other day and it looks like new, let me know if you want more info ;).
Hi Girls, sorry I have been awol for a while now, life has been hectic. We went away for the Melbourne Cup extra long weekend to Mt Gambier. My sister turned 30 and had an 80's party. Was so much fun, we got to dress up really daggy (pics on facebook if anyone interested).
We have also had bad news this week. One of my dh's brother's twin girls died on Monday morning. So the week had been a blur. She was about 3 months old and they think it was sids, but they have been conducting lots of tests on her sister just in case it was something else. No news on when the funeral is yet, so very sad.
I am finding it hard to get motivated today. I think its because I have my monthly visitors and I am really crampy. SO that means no baby this month. To be honest we are putting in a real half hearted attempt at making a baby at the moment. Life is so busy and I think my dh has been away working for more time than he has been home in the past couple of months. He told me we need to step it up a bit, as he is really keen for No 3. I am just lets just see what happens, because having the girls so close together keeps me so busy. I am torn, want another, not sure if now, but dont want to wait as I am olddddddddddd.
Anyway girls, hope you all have a great day!
K x
Karen - I'm so sorry to hear about your niece , that is just devastating. I really feel for your family. I'm glad you had a nice time away and the party sounds like a laugh! BTW you are SO not old!
