selfish post here so im sorry
lachlan got his needles on tuesday and it was H O R R I B L E!!! the normal girl who does them wasnt there(when she has done the last ones she was so quick he didnt even realise there was more than one and he gave a little whimper then smiled at her)
the new lady drew the fluid up in front of him and was so slow it was so sad.
she put the first one in and held it for about 30 seconds before she put the bandaid on, then he watched her coming with the second flinched and clung to me and she was just as slow when i had to spin him around for the 3rd he was screaming then she walked away to get another bandaid and he settled a little bit but when she came back to put the bandaid on he looked at her and howled. he was fine 10 minutes later but i have been a mess for the 2 days after it happened.... i certainly didnt cope very well at all. i will never let her do needles again. if the normal nurse isnt there ill ask the doc to give it to him.
got him weighed yesterday, he is 9.1kg, 76.4cm tall and a 44.9cm head circ. i bought my mchn a little gift for helping me become so confident in my way of parenting and we both got teary lol. other than that. i am taking him to a play center with friends tomorrow so hopefully he will have a nice day and then his bday and naming ceremony is on sunday.... im so excited! anyways,

happy bday to any bubbies i missed and ill pop in at some stage.

We had our vac's and checkup today. L is 10.3kg (exactly on 50th percentile), but has a big head at 47cm, and length is 79cm. Apparently he is going to be tall (or at least taller than DH and I). Our vac went fine and after a few tears was all smiles. He does have an infected mozzie bite on his leg so have got some cream for that.

Kate - sorry to hear that L's vac were horrible. A skilled practitioner makes all the difference. Hopefully the experience won't put him off for life.
Amber/Trish - feeling better thanks. Throat is still a little sore but at least I don't have a headache anymore.
Mo - good to hear that the MRI went ok, but not so good that there's more waiting. Unfortunately medicine isn't an exact science at times.

Did the shopping for the party today. The teddy bear tin that MIL ordered off e-bay has arrived and she will make the cake tomorrow. I've made the hummus and defrosting the top tier of our wedding cake.

Got next week off work and we are heading up to Noosa. The weather is going to be nice and warm. Can't wait! MIL bought L a swimmers set (pants, top and hat) so there will definitely be some pool or beach time. I bought a little bucket and spade set so L can play in the sand.

I'll try to pop in over the weekend but I hope everyone's parties go well and everyone else has a good weekend.

This time last year I think we were just about to head to the hospital, and then our princess entered the world at 4.37am!

Just finished baking her giraffe cake, I really need to go to bed now, got a very busy day tomorrow! We are off to a play centre in the afternoon with my sister and niece and some friends, and I have a million things to do for Tahlia's party on Saturday!

Well, my littlest is now one *sniff*. It's scary how fast they grow and develop! K was a good boy and didn't wake once last night and he slept until 7:30am, it must have been his birthday present to me LOL! We bought him a Little Tikes plastic rocking horse thing, but it's shaped like a dog. He loves it and has been riding it non-stop.

I'm busy packing today for our 5 days away, we're leaving this afternoon and coming back next Tuesday. I hope the weather isn't too bad while we're away! I won't be back on for a while so I also want to say:

Tyron had his needles on Tuesday, he was such a brave boy, he cried initally when each needle when into his Thunder thighs and stopped straight after.
wed and thur though he did like 5-5 poos each day, not sure if that was from the needles or teeth or both but far out!! he can stand on his own for small bursts now, mainly when he doesnt realise that he is doing it.
he is walking well when you hold one or both hands but if u let go he just lunges forward at you!

Seems needles are all the rage at the moment :( We haven't done ours yet, havent had the time and to be honest am putting it off a bit. Oh well, I will get them done this week I think.

Off to work on Monday, my last week of maternity leave has just passed. I am excited, nervous, looking forward to it and scared to death, all at the same time :redface:

How is everyone?

We had Tahlias party yesterday, she had a great birthday, she has been so tired today. She got so spoilt, we are going to have to put an extension on the house to fit all the toys! The giraffe cake went down well, and the jumping castle was a hit! I've put some pics on FB for anyone who wants a squiz.

We had our party yesterday too. Had a great day. It was just a small gathering but everyone that meant something to us was there and we had a great day. Lochie was so well behaved and enjoyed himself. Like Kellie we need to put an extension on the house to fit all the toys. We did a teddy bear cake (actually MIL did). Once I get off here I'll FB some photos.

We are off to Noosa for the week. We'll be taking the laptop along so I'll check in. Wish we were going to the UK (like Julia). Going to take L to the beach and take him swimming........

Sorry been a bit lazy again lately. Happy birthday to all the bubbas that I missed. Hope you all got spoiled.

Well I was off work today. Sick and miserable. Feeling a bit better now but really tired. Suppose I should go to work tomorrow.

Well I am now on facebook. It took me a while but I finally signed up. Put the pics of Ethan's birthday on there for the world to see.

We are officially "trying" for bubba no. 2. I hope it all happens faster this time. Don't feel like going through all the issues like last time. It's too emotional.
