Trish Maddi is doing great, finally getting over her nasty cough. What isn't she up to
Nothing is safe!
AFM Cookie is doing well, but I'm feeling rather blah.
Mum was admitted to hospital Tuesday after having a breakdown of sorts.
Dr's are pretty sure it's an infection causing her to be confused, They are just trying to find where it is.
So she's not doing so great at the moment she looks fine but mentally she's just not there :(
I don't even want to post what's she been saying, i can't help but feel embarrassed even tho it's not her fault.

Trinity, so sorry to hear about your Mum. Hopefully they can treat it and she will get better soon. Its really hard when you Mum gets sick, my Mum had a heart attack earlier in the year and it was just like the floor had been ripped out from under us all. Whatever your Mum is coming out with, take it with a grain of salt. Because you know the real her and she cant help it because she is ill. Anyone that knows and loves her will look past that, and anyone that cant, isnt worthing knowing anyway!

Keep your chin up chicken! Look after yourself and that little bubba growing inside you as well :hug:

I know Kaz but it's just so hard.
My Mum has been sick on & off since i was 12 so i learned to deal with the Physical side, but the mental side has got me so upset.
They say she may never go back to her old self & don't know how i would deal if she was like this for the rest of her life.

Mo - lots of :hug:. I agree with what Kaz said, just remember you know the real her, and if other people judge, then they arent worth knowing about

Trish - hope you are all feeing better, we are pretty much the same here. I am on antibiotics for a throat infection....again! Would you believe the cloth hasnt even been on her butt yet? I had to wash them a couple of times, but they are all ready now, so as soon as she wakes up from her nap, she is going to get one! I'm doing my tax return tonight, so hopefully I get a good refund and then I can buy more!

Also looking at buying a stroller as we are going away to Qld in the new year for a wedding and we dont want to take the big pram. Looking at the Steelcraft Express at the moment, has anyone used this one?
How far are the QLD girls from the Surfers/Main Beach area? That is where we are more than likely staying, it would be great to meet some of you!

Awww Mo I am so sorry for you. Thats must be so hard for you..... Not much I can say to make you feel better I am sure but know that we are thinking about you. :(

Kellie - I think most of us live closer to Brisbane, but we have met up beofre at a place called The Hyperdome which is about halfway between here and the Gold Coast.... we could try and meet there?

Mo- so sorry to hear about your Mum. I really can't relate but I can imagine it must be awful. I agree with what the others have said. Remember the Mum that is inside. It sux when the body doesn't do what it should. Take care of yourself. Here is my humble opinion. Cry whenever you need to. We all have times when we want to be strong for thoses around us, but we can't if we aren't looking after ourselves. Please take care and think of that gorgoeus little one.

Well - the party went well, expect for the part when Mum was criticising me for my parenting skills. Gggrrr. I hate it when she does that. The cake didn't turn out like the picture. What's with that? He he he. Ethan got so spoilt which was nice. I had to go and buy some storage boxes to keep all the toys in.

Kellie - as Becky said all of us except Viv are in Brisbane. Depending on when you're up here I'd be happy to take a drive down the Coast. It would be nice to meet you and Tahlia. I grew up there so it would be a chance to catch up with some friends.

Actually, I suspect that I may be coming down to Melbourne next year for a visit so I might be able to meet the Melbourne ladies....

Alz - good to hear that the party went well. I am sure the cake tasted yummy. MIL is making our cake and she used to make wedding cakes so if it doesn't look like the picture I'm not to blame! LOL.

Karen - I'm glad your girls are feeling much better!

Kellie - You poor thing, I hope your throat infection clears up soon. It sucks being sick! I haven't tried that Steelcraft stroller, but I'm sure it's great. All of the Steelcraft ones I've tried have been fantastic. If you want a SENSATIONAL stroller, go for a Maclaren (but don't have a heart attack when you look at the price LOL).

alz - I'm glad Ethan's party went well. I'm sure the cake was still yummy!

Saffi - What are you coming to Melbourne for? We definitely have to have a meet-up if you come!

I'm still feeling pretty ordinary, but have managed to keep going. My mum came and visited this morning and I took K for his 12 month check up at the MCHN. He is doing great. He's around 9.5kg which is good, I was worried for a while there that he'd be massive by 12 months!

We're having a party for the boys this Sunday, we're having it the weekend before their birthdays because we're going away the following weekend. We're having an afternoon tea at our house and holding a small dedication ceremony for K. I've ordered two cakes so the boys can have one each. The poor things having to share their party with each other! (I'm secretly rapt because I don't have to organise two parties LOL!)

Hi everyone....now a word of warning this is going to be a me me me post....

Gotta take Max to the doctor....he's been sick but it's just going on and on...he is sweating so much but doesn't have a temp...doesn't want any covers over him, he's not filling his nappies much either considering how much he's drinking. He is hardly eating (which is so unusual) and is clingy etc. etc. I am pretty tired, he wants to be in my bed always now...not much hope if I wanted to TTC #2!! AND to top it off we fly to the UK next Sunday!! SIIIIGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Becky - Woohoo on getting your hair done! It's such a nice thing to have done and a good excuse for some kid-free time.

Amber - The holiday house sounds awesome, I'm so jealous! I'm sure now that it's almost summer you'll lose weight more easily. The nice weather is so motivating to get out and do things like going for long walks, swimming, etc. My two boys are my weight-loss solution LOL! Running around after 2 of them and taking them on walks to parks really helps keep the kilos off!

Back on the subject of haircuts, I got Joel's hair cut a couple of days ago and the hairdresser cut his fringe too short and it was crooked! I had to even it out myself and I'm still not happy with it. Just in time for his birthday photos too :rolleyes:. Oh, and on another non-related topic, Joel can ride his two wheel bike without training wheels! Not bad for a not-yet-4-year-old! Just had to share my proud mum moment LOL.

Julia - I am hearing you luv. Tay has been sick for almost 2 weeks now, first it was that rash she had from head to toe, which I was told was viral by two doctors, then conjuntivitus which has been going on for a week today and the meds are doing nothing for, her eyes and cheeks underneath are really red, then she got gastro last monday, vomiting lasted 24 hours but she still has diaorreah, now she has come out with a different rash today just on her torso. She is also getting upset all the time and is really really clingy. I am really concerned that more is going on than what the doctors are saying or can be bothered checking for. It feels like I am constantly brushed off by the doctors when I take the kids and am told that its something viral..!! I just think you know your kids and I know that my normally happy little 1 year old has more going on at the moment than a virus! So we are going back to the doctors at 3.30pm today, wish me luck.

Awwww Kazaraz and Julia, I hope your babies get better soon! I see the beginnings of a cold coming on with my 2, but hopefully that is all it is. Let us know how you both get on at the doctor, I hope they can give you something to make them better!

Trish - WooHoo! Go Joel!! Thats awesome that he can ride a bike! And I knw what ya mean, nothing worse than a bad haircut. When Liam was 2 he had a full head of curls, but they were getting so long so we took him to the hairdresser and she cut it too short! Anyway I always just thought, doesnt matter, they'll grow back. But they never did! I never got his curls back :( He is still a little spunk now though too. LOL.

Becky - The same thing happened with Joel's last haircut! He had gorgeous blonde curls, very "surfie" looking LOL. I asked the hairdresser to just trim his hair, but keep it a bit long and keep the curls - well she cut it all off! I was soooo upset and he never got the same curls again :(. He has slight curls, but nothing like before. It's so devestating isn't it?

Karen - Good luck at the docs today, I hope they actually help Tay this time. Let us know how you go!

Hi everyone! Its been a while since I was in .....AGAIN! Have just been so busy with everything! But I am sure you all know exactly what I mean!
Hugs to you Mo! I know it must be hard but remember that we are always here for you! I hope there may be some light at the end of the tunnel somewhere along the way!
Julia and Kaz - I dont know how you do it! I guess I have bee really lucky and Caitlyn has hardly been sick. Hugs to you both as well.
I took Caitlyn for her needles today - boohoo. APpointment was at 1030 so i got there 10 mins early like a good girl. didnt finish there until 1210!!! Boy was I annoyed! When we saw the nurse and got weighed etc beforehand - she makred us on teh computer as finished!! So my doc didnt realise I was waiting to see him. Not the first time its happened.
Caitlyn is back at daycare - probably still asleep - poor thing was waiting over her nap time which made it hard too.
Now for teh numbers....my oompaloopma weighs 11kg!! Holy cow!! No wonder my arms hurt!!
She is 74.5 cm long - which is scary cause thats almost half my height! I am only 155 cm tall!!
Anyway - sorry i dont have much time to write or read much else. Happy birthday to all those that I have missed along the way!

Just a quick one.
The Dr's found no infection, so she is off for a MRI on Monday as they think she may have swollen blood vessels in her brain, it's very rare but they want to rule everything out before they send her off to the Psych Ward.
They are pretty certain she has a form of Dementia so they started her on some meds for that.
She's still very confused & but not as bad as Tuesday/Wednesday.

Wow Rebecca C is doing very well with her weight gain, I reckon Maddi is at least 10.5kgs now.

Trish- gratz on the proud mum moment! 9.5kg is a good effort! Ry is a pudger at nearly 12kg and you feel every gram trying to carry him! Ry goes down for the night between 5-6pm and wakes up a 5-6am. He has one sleep a day from 9am-12pm or from 11am-2pm if he has swimming. Got more teeth on the way and we think he'd be about 80cm now can't keep him in one spot long enough to check for sure he attacks the measuring tape hehe.

Anyone not had their 12month check yet? Ry been going so well I don't want him to get his needles! I'm being awful and selfish I know but he's had such a good run with his health FINALLY the last few wks I don't want it to end and he always gets so cranky and sickish from them... I know I have to make an appointment next week I don't want to take him I hate the screaming *cries*

Not sure what L weighs but I reckon at least 10.5. I have to book him in for his vax next week, so I'll find out then.

Babysitting our goddaughter tomorrow afternoon and overnight. Should be fun. It will also be a chance to see her little brother who is only a month and half old.

Anyway I'll pop in over the weekend.

Hope Jasmine enjoys her Ladybug party....how CUTE!

Doctor went terribly yesterday. She just said he has a cold and that he will get over it. Nothing blocked so no need for antibiotics or anything, which is a good thing, but she just rushed us in and out then charged a nice $51. I swear I wasn't in there longer than 10 mins! Max is being much better today though and slept better last night, although still not great.

Question - what would you do? Going on holiday next Sunday.....should I do his 1 year immunisations BEFORE or AFTER??? (remember he's been sick too!)

We waited up until 12.06am when she was born and said happy birthday...even though Jas was sound asleep. I was pretty emotional...its been a journey until now and i look forward to many more years!!

Party was awesome...her cake looked great...will put some pics up on FB when we arrive back in VIC tomorrow night.
