A little update on Jasmine....she is eating solids...yay...well a little bit of solids....nothing like most in here (ie no vegies, bread, meat etc)....but things like jelly, yoghurt and custard and nibbles on dry biscuits! Yesterday she took 2-3 steps alone and it was exciting...she seemed proud of herself!

hi girls, thought i would pop in since it feels like forever since i have been on here to post.

mo - i am really sorry about your mum. i know it must be heartbreaking seeing her like that, especially when you dont have your families support. i guess you need to hold on to the wonderful memories i am sure you have. take heart in knowing that she will always be your mum. nothing will take that bond away!

kimbaz - yay, a boy for your household. send those boy vibes my way please. haha. after two very strong willed and demanding princess, it would be nice to break the cycle of girls in our family and have a boy next time! not that its the be all and end all, but sometimes i think boys are a lot more laid back than girls from what i have seen!

kaz - dont get me started on the fighting. i just cant believe it. i am sure mia has lived in time out for most of her days over the past week. i cant seem to get through to her to be nice to her sister. when she hits, pushes and even kicks tay, tay decides to bite back. they seriously have issues and i am at my wits end. any ideas anyone?

we had the funeral for our niece on friday. very sad. we almost didnt go, because we got a phone call on thursday night telling us not to take the kids. we werent going to take them, but then because we didnt feel comfortable leaving them with someone they hardly knew decided to. a good friend helped out in the end. we were pretty disappointed about it, especially since we go to the funeral and there were other kids!

i better get going after this post, bit tired and it is almost midnight. argh!

    hi everyone
Saffi - we dont really have a christmas tradition yet, but I definitely like the idea of starting one!

Kaz - sorry I dont have any suggestions on how to stop the fighting, it must be horrible!

I have some exciting news, Tahlia took 6 steps in a row over the weekend, she is trying so hard, you can see it in her face, but she gets a bit excited and falls over. I'm not looking forward to all the bumps and bruises that are going to happen!

Hi to everyone else, its been so quiet in here!

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been in, I've been unpacking, washing, catching up etc. from the weekend. We had a great time away, the boys had a ball.

We had a terrible night last night, poor K woke up at 1am and cried until around 3am. I went in so many times and I gave him some Nurofen and he eventually went back to sleep for an hour, then woke up screaming hysterically and was standing up wanting to be picked up. I gave him a big cuddle and calmed him down and put him back to bed. He went back to sleep after that, but we're so tired today!

I hope everyone's well, I'll BBL for personals!

    Hi all

Kim - happy that you've got your little boy and it is confirmed. Great that Jasmine is eating and taking steps. Wow, not long to go until your little prince joins your family. Are you getting excited?
Kaz - I can understand not wanting to have kids at a funeral, especially a child's, but it makes it hard when you need to make other arrangements. No tips on managing fighting siblings. Sounds like you are doing all the "right" things.
Becky - congrats to Chella on her walking and to Liam on the TT.
Mo - how's your little bubba going?
Kelly - congrats to Tahlia on the walking. L is the same - really trying so hard but he's not quite there yet. Soon I think
Trish - glad that you enjoyed your weekend away. When is your next trip?
    Nickers - Hi!

Nothing much happening here. We survived the storm that went through here on Sunday. There was heaps of rain and lightning but no real damage for us. A very small tree belonging to our neighbour has come down on our fence so we will need to cut that back on the weekend. It really is like a war zone in the worst effected areas.

Got a note from day-care today to say that L will move up to the Toddlers Room at the end of January. He will be exactly 15 months then which is the youngest they can be in that room. I am a bit surprised as I thought he would be in the babies room until at least 18 months, but with all the kids moving up rooms once Prep starts up it makes sense. Currently there are some older kids in the babies room just waiting for a place in the older room. There are a number of kids who he is with at the moment who will be moving up with him, so he will at least be with his friends.

All is well here. L is doing more and more interesting things. I am constantly amazed and proud of all the things he does.

Anyway, going off to make some more cards. More in a couple of days.....

Hi everyone! Wow, it really has really slowed down in here!

We had an interesting night last night. I gave K a bath and as I was drying him he was shivering even though he felt warm and I noticed the soles of his feet, his hands and his top lip were blue. He has been out of sorts so I was a bit worried. DH rang the MCHN line and as I was talking to the nurse I noticed the skin on K's thighs was going blotchy and purple. The nurse told me to take him straight to emergency. I had horrible thoughts of meningitis going through my head. I was in two minds because my instinct was telling me he was OK, but I would also never forgive myself if I didn't act and something went terribly wrong. So we took K to emergency and the triage nurse checked him over, by then his skin was pretty much back to normal and after a few questions she said he looked OK, but we could stay and get him checked out if we wanted to. There was a huge wait, but we thought we'd hang around for an extra 10 minutes in case K's condition changed, then go home. We eventually just went home and K has been fine ever since. So it was a bit stressful, but we're glad he's OK!

Saffi - That's good that L will go into the toddler's room, hopefully it will be more stimulating for him as he gets a bit older.

Mo - I sent you a PM regarding the bassinette earlier .

Becky - Hooray for Liam mastering toilet training ! Well done to you both!!

Kellie - Wow, what a clever girl Tahlia is taking steps! K hasn't taken any steps yet, he'll be a while off yet!

Nic - Yay for Tyron taking some steps too! He'll be off before you know it! How old was Nixon when he started walking?

Karen - It must be hard when the girls are fighting. I hope it gets a bit better soon!

Kim - Congrats on Bumblebee definitely being a boy! Have fun buying lots of cute boys stuff!

Amber - How are you and Myles going? You've been a bit quiet lately!

Hi to everyone else, make sure you come in and let us know how you are!

Saffi - glad the storm didnt do too much damage, can you send some of the rain down here? It is so dry! It was forecast to rain today, but we didnt get a drop where I am!

Bec - well done on the success with the toilet training!

Tahlia has been feral all day today, I suspect another tooth is on its way! She woke overnight too, which she hasnt been doing. She wont let me look in her mouth though, so I'm just assuming its another tooth!

hey ladies. just popping in to say hello and make a quick birth announcement...
my sister had a baby BOY yesterday and i was lucky enough to be in the delivery suite to watch it all happen.... granted if i blinked i would have missed it. it was all over in about 1 minute. water was popped at 1 and he was born at 1.12pm.but it was amazing seeing it from the other end(not that i was aware enough to remember anything from my birth) it is quite funny though. she laboured just like i did hehe.

    Congratulations misskate on your nephew!

I watched RPA last night and seen a c section for the first time, normally I am the one on the table and I dont see anything! IT was really interesting. It has made me even more clucky, dont you just wish you could bottle that feeling of when the baby comes into the world. She was a cute baby as well .... I just cant imagine, as much as I think its really hard being a parent some days, the baby part of my life being over. I love the newborn stage, actually until they get till about 2 is great. Haha.

Speaking of my 2 year old, we have had a week of success with toilet training. She takes herself off to the potty and goes, even when I dont know about it. Still no NO 2's but apparently that comes later. We had one accident last night, but I think it was because she didnt want to miss out on anything as we were all sitting around the table chatting and had just finished dinner!

Anyway must go get the girls organised. I have to get out of the house today, we havent been out since Monday!

    Have a great day all ... K x

No more nappies except at sleep time, and saving money! Cant wait til Chels is done too! Oh and I watched RPA last night too, we must be a week behind you. We only had the lead up to the ceasar, and have the actual op advertised for next week. Cant wait!!

Will be back a little later guys
