    Hi everyone!

I am soooo sick with a cold . I have a sore throat, non-stop running nose and a cough that hurts my chest so much that I try and stifle it. K seems to be coming down with it too. Oh the misery of it all! I thought I was over the cold & flu season!!!

We had a great time out at DH's Christmas party on Friday night. I won a raffle prize (very unexciting Christmas candles), DH won a bottle of wine at last year's party so his workmate on our table said "You always win", so DH swapped his raffle ticket with his workmate and his workmate won a prize LOL! He couldn't believe it. We always have a run of luck with winning stuff, maybe we should buy a lottery ticket LOL!

K is still pointing at everything saying "What's that?" and the other day he heard DH's voice and he said "Who's that? That's Dad!" (well it kind of sounded like "Whoozat, Zats Dad"!) He is so clever!

Rebecca - I have no idea what to tell you about the 3am feeds! K has been on cows milk only for a couple of months and he doesn't wake up for a feed. He only has two cups of milk a day (his first cup actually has milo in it LOL) and eats lots of food most of the day. Who knows with these children, they keep changing the rules!

Julia - Don't apologise! That's why this group is here! Man, I have come in and complained many a time. I'm glad to hear Max is picking up, there is nothing worse than when they are grumpy and clingy all the time. K can be a real shocker when he wants to. Feel free to come in and vent any time .

Kellie - I'm glad you had a nice day yesterday, poor Tahlia getting sunburnt! It happens so quickly doesn't it? I haven't been to the Myer Christmas windows for years, I really should take the boys.

Mo - I'm glad Maddi ended up liking her swimming lesson! I haven't tried K at our pool, every time I've gone in the past we've caught something nasty so I don't really want to take him!!

Kazaraz - How did you go with your night out? It must have been nice to have a night to yourself!

Nic - Nice to see you in here, I've missed you! How are the boys going?

Saffi - Where are you? You've been a bit quiet LOL!

    Hi to everyone else!

    Hey all

Rebecca - L is on all cows milk too. He has 3x180ml bottles and I think milk with lunch at dc. He too has been waking at 2/3am lately. For him it is a dummy issue, but you've got me thinking about hunger. He does wake sometime between 5.30 and 6.30am tho and I do tend to feed him then. Is Miss C walking? Since L has started I have been really trying to get more food into him as he is constantly on the move burning it all off.
Trish - sorry you are feeling so sick (again). Try to rest up, as hard as it is with the boys running around. Are you on multi-vitamins? I am constantly amazed at K's language skills. L doesn't say much at all tho DH swears he said Mumma the other day. He is very clever in other ways so I keep satisfied with that.
Julia - thats great that a Dr finally listened to you and Max is on the mend. Vent away - it is good for the soul.
Kaz - hope you had a good night. It is nice to get some time away without the kids, hey?
Mo - I have been meaning to take L to swimming lessons. Do you go in with her or does DH?
Kellie - I know what you mean about Mummy guilt. We will always find something to beat ourselves up for.

    As for us:
    1. DH and I had a night to ourselves while L stayed with the ILs. He was really well behaved and slept through the night for them, including a very bad thunder storm. Funny tho, they were still up most of the night as their dog was so scared. The ILs took him to a Chrissy party and he was passed around all the oldies and had a great time. DH and I went out for breakfast to stretch out our us time even longer. I was still up at 6am tho.
    2. Put the Xmas tree up tonight. On the weekend L selected a new tree decoration. We are going to do that each year. Have had to put the tree up high to stop any inquisitive fingers pulling at the decorations.
    3. L's molar has broken through. He has 4 little white specks poking through the gum. The gums are really swollen but he doesn't seem to be too upset. He got more upset when I put some Bonjela on it.

Not much else to report at this time.

I hope you and your bubs are all well.

Nic how scary for you, glad they just played in it & both are fine.

Trish hope your feeling better & Cam is taking good care of you.

As for us, Maddi seems to be an early riser now, up at 5:30 this morning at least she was happy to lay in bed till 6:30am.
It seems i have an aspiring gymnast on my hands, Maddi flipped herself out of the cot the other day, yes the rail was right up & thanks goodness the cot was right next to the bed so she landed on something soft. Gave me a big shock at 3am.

We see the OB today can't believe we only have 15wks left.

    Hope everyone else is well.

    Hey everyone!

Feeling a bit better, though today I fell soooo tired. DH went back to work yesterday, but I coped fine without him, I even did our Christmas shopping (maybe that's why I'm so tired today!). The only pressies left to buy are for MIL and FIL, but they are almost all sorted out. It feels so good to be almost finished!! I feel much less stressed about Christmas now .

This morning I was making K his cup of milo (tsk tsk to me! He'll only have milo in the mornings because that's what Joel has and he refuses to have plain old boring milk!) and he pointed to it and said his usual "What's that?", I said, "That''s your milo" as I handed it to him. He replied "Oh...Ta!" ha ha, it was so cute!

    - These babies can give us such a hard time sometimes! K can be a shocker when he doesn't get his own way, especially when he is teething. I usually distract him while he is throwing a tanty about something by showing him the dog or something and he forgets about it. Other times I ignore his tanty (if it's just one of those toddler-type silly tanties LOL) and he gets bored when he gets no attention so he stops and starts playing again. I hope you get some good sleep when you go away! Maybe if Myles wakes early, get your DH to get him up and take him for a walk?

Mo - Yuck at the 5:30am wake up! I think it's pretty common for babies to wake up early this time of year. Most mums I speak to are complaining of the same thing. It must be the extra light and the noise of birds up and about.

Nic - Yikes, those cheeky boys! I'm glad they didn't ingest any! They get up to so much mischief so quickly when your back is turned! Do you still see Claire? We haven't seen her in here for ages, tell her I said "hi" if you see her!

Saffi - Yep, I am on multi-vitamins, I just always get sick! I have always caught everything going around, you'd think I'd have an immune system of steel by now LOL! I don't think my body absorbs things like vitamins and iron very well. How nice that you & your DH had a night to yourself! That's great L slept through for his grandparents!!

Hi to everyone else! I wonder if BB will crash again today? I missed it yesterday!!

So, finally I get 5 minutes to post ... I have been so busy its not funny. My parents have been here since last week and they went home yesterday. I am a bit of a taxi service at the moment, I dropped them at the airport and picked Bruno up. I am so glad to have him home, no more Sydney trips until next year fingers crossed. He is over it as well. We went for dinner in Essendon on the way home, as it was our wedding anniversary. The food was great, the waiters not so great. One of the them smelt really bad, the other one knocked over the wines glasses on our table twice! I said to my dh at least it will be memorable. My kids love pasta ... so it was no surprise we chose an italian restaurant.

Our weekend away was great. We went into the motel at around 2pm and spent some time in the bath just chatting. Never get to do that. We went to dinner and that was a little disappointing. I think we left the Christmas Party around 11 and went to the casino with the intention of seeing a movie. BUt after walking around decided to just go home and sleep! What was amazing was the amount of people at the casino at that hour with babies and toddlers?! It was 12.30 when we left and people had kids everywhere we turned.

We come home Sunday and I took Mia to a birthday party for a while, as we had to get ready for the Wiggles! We got organised, dropped my parents at the casino and made our way to Rod Laver arena, only to discover we had the wrong weekend and day! Yes all my fault for not checking the tickets. Everyone has had a great laugh at my expense haha!

Other than that, not much else is new. We put the kids to bed last night and I had prepared our bedroom with candles, rose petals and little glittery love hearts. It looked great, so nice that my dh took photos! I will post them on facebook when I get a chance. We had a nice night eating icecream in bed and chatting, oh and other things I cant mention

Trish -I hope that you are feeling better and the tiredness is subsiding!

Boomba - I know what your saying about tanties, take heart in knowing my baby is doing it as well. She even points her finger and tells us off at the moment. Oh and she bit Mia on the stomach yesterday, broke the skin and MIa has a nice little mark and bruise. SO naughty!

Mo - Oh my gosh, glad for that soft landing I bet. Tay fell off of the change table and bed the other day. Never had this happen before and I had a good cry over it.

Nic - I bet the boys did give you a scare. You cant turn off for a second can you, we certainly have a fulltime job on our hands watching the kids!

Saffi - how does the christmas tree look?

Bec - I didnt think it was normal to wake for food, but these bubs all have their own schedule. Tay will have a grizzle around 4, but normally puts herself back to sleep.

Minimax - definately dont stress, we are all in the same boat with the good times and the hard times! We completely get where you are coming from!

I think I have nearly got everyone, hello to misskate and mum2squidgee!

Sorry for the long post, so much to tell since I have been missing in action for a few days! Oh and my teething 1 year old is a nightmare ... I am considering going to the doctors today just to make sure nothing else is going on! Keep you posted. Bye xx
