That's great about the weight loss :)

Still baking a BumbleBee Amber....he seems to like the environment he is!
kim he obviously loves his mummy too much to want to come out and have to share you :) hang in there hun!
Mo i hope the book arrives tomorrow! I saw they were stocking the 3rd and 4th book today at the shops? Hope the US goes well! x
Hi ladies
Kim - you have made it too comfy in there for BumbleBee. I think this Sunday for you. Hang in there, it can't be much longer.
Mo - happy that the GTT went well. I would haved loved to do one of those 4D scans. I ended up having three scans last time and was thrilled to see how much he'd grown that time. As you can see I have already had 1 at 6weeks! Talk about technological advances.
Amber - yes holidays go all too fast. I'd like to see a baby that isn't into everything. Its just what they do!
Nick - congrats on the walking. He'll be running in no time.
L's botty is still sore. Its not as bad as it was but still not normal. Must get some of that cream you mentioned.
Kaz - how are you going?
Kellie - Wow, 14 months of BF'ing is a fantastic effort (same for you Amber and Julia and anyone who is still feeding).
Anyway, better run and get DH from work. I'll BBL to say hi to everyone else.
Hey everyone! I'm back a day early from our holiday and it's so nice to be home!
I thought I'd better annouce first up that I'm pregnant :D. I'm due around the 23rd of August (my birthday!) and am about 7 1/2 weeks or so atm. I'm having a dating scan on Saturday morning because my cycles have been screwy since having K so we're not 100% sure of the EDD. Once I've seen all is OK on Saturday I'll get myself a pg ticker and make an official BB announcement, but I wanted to share our good news with my friends in here first!
Our trip was nice, but it was hard to enjoy it while feeling so tired and I also got an ear infection which made me sleep through most of the first week . Joel had a great time learning to surf, he got to stand up on his surfboard which was very exciting for him! He looks like such a little surfer with his blonde hair and tan, awww...
I'm so glad to be home and look forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight. K is having trouble settling off to sleep as I type this, I think it will take a few nights to get back to normal.
Sorry for no personals from me, I'm just popping in quickly to say hello, but I'll be back soon!
Oh, just one personal - Best of luck Kim! I hope your little man makes his long-awaited arrival very soon :D
Night all!
OMG Trish CONGRATULATIONS!! I neally fell off the lounge! how long have u been keeping it a secret?!?! well if u go 2 weeks early bub might come on my birthday (7th!) but hey an AUGUST bub will be great, i was just thinking that to myself yesterday Jul/aug IF we were to have another would be an even spread of my children lol.
good luck with your scan, were you guys trying, or just not NOT trying?!
Im thinking pink this time for you too!
How cute Joel surfing hehe
ive got nothing more to add but super excited for you Trish did you make it lucky 8 in here of UTD's??
Congrats Trish..fab news :D
Amber apparently New Moon is out of stock every-where. The publishers run out of copies so they have to print more, Who knows if it's true or not.
The Author must be thrilled to see her books doing so well.
Trish Congratulations :happyforyou: .
I was wondering how long it would take before you had some news to share.
Aww, thanks Nic! I got a BFP on the 15th of December so I've known for a little while now. We told our families on Christmas Day which was nice. I've been a bit hesitant to post about it as I've had two m/c's in the past, but so far all seems to be going well. I thought I'd wait until we got back from hols to share. An August bub will be nice, it's a great month to be born LOL! We were trying so it is a very much planned for bub :D. Gotta love my FIL's question "Was it a mistake?". Looks like lots of us Octo mums are UTD!
ETA - Thanks Kim & Mo :D
OMG Trish! Congratulations!!!!!! That was such a surprise! I'm thinking PINK for you this time too!
Mo - that u/s will be so exciting!
Saffi - 14 months is a pretty big achievement, sometimes I stop and think, and say
'WOW'
Amber - good girl on the weight loss... I am also trying to lose a few kgs... I've decided 2009 is the year!
Trish - :hooray:Congratulations again!:hooray: I'm so thrilled for you! Funnily enough, I'm thinking pink too!! ;)
Kellie - re cutting down feeds, I just stopped offering and he never really asked. Occasionally he would pull on my top or say his word for milk but I'd just distract him and he was fine. Another reason I cut back was because I was finding it really hard to express at work. I went from about 80-100mls to 20mls in a week, so a definite drop in supply. The other thing is L was a really fussy eater until I cut out his night feeds. From then on, he hasn't looked back and is eating soooo much better. I think he was filling up on milk overnight and getting his calories that way which was OK as a little bub but was getting hard as he got older and I needed to go back to work. I also offer him lots of water and he has a cup of soy milk (dairy intolerant) every morning after his b'feed which he loves. He goes to the fridge and asks for it now LOL! So I think that when the time comes, he'll probably wean pretty well. It is very sad for mummy though :(
Kim - best of luck with your labour and delivery, can't wait to hear what you've named him!
WOW :leap:Trish! Thats is the best news! What a surprise! Congratulations:confetti: hun! Hmmmm i may have to try earlier than i thought i feel left out :) ooh maybe a pink bundle for you but a family of boys would be fantasic! Glad your holiday was nice! Shame you feeling the best though! Look after yourself hun!
Saffi hows bub going?
Mo gosh thats crazy hey! You would think the last book would be the sold out one! Also they released calendars and they have sold out and are going for $100 plus on ebay! Crazy hey!
Kellie yep 09 is the year we get our bodies looking fabbo! Good luck hun!
Well i am soooo sore from the massive 2 hour gym session yesterday. I go with combatQueen from here, she has been my motivator and is the loveliest girl! Thank goodness i met her!
Were off to the dam this weekend for a ski and to mow the lawn lol! xx
Thanks Kellie, Willow & Amber! A lot of people seem to be thinking pink, but that's probably because I already have two boys!! We'll be happy either way, this bub will be very much loved :D
What do you ladies think of the name Aurora(same name as sleeping beauty)?
Trish i'll go against everyone & say Boy, i'm always wrong at guessing so your bound to have a Girl now lol.
oooh Mo I LOVE it! I tried to convince DH to pick it if we had a girl but he doesnt like it much! Love it!!!!!!!
Hey all will pop back later, just wanted to say "HI ALL!!"
And a HUGE congrats to you Trish!! That is awesome news!!! How do you feel about having 3 little ones at home now? I cant wait to be pregnant again now but the thought of 3 of my terrors scares me a little.... lol Im really happy for you!!
Wow there must almost be more pregnant Octoberers now than non pregnant... lol
Trish - glad you had a nice break at the Coast. You are putting that caravan to good use! Thinking the lack of ms is because you are having a girl.
Amber - good work on the weight loss and fitness program. I've got another 9 months+ to put it off. Although I am thinking I will take up yoga this time. Wanted to last time but never got around to it.
Becky - I figured out that the recent rush of pregnancies is the result of the "we'll start trying at 12 months". I can't believe how many of us there are either. We seem to be a pretty fertile lot.
Rebecca - how are you going up there? I must have been in my own world as I have only just heard about all the flooding. At least now the dam is full again (brown and yucky looking as it is). I am so pleased to hear that Miss C is walking. What a difference a month makes - I remember you were very concerned about it last time you posted. They all walk funny at first. Is the move to Townsville still on?
Tiff - great to hear that things are going well for you and Tiera. Hoping your TTC journey is short.
Mo - I like the name Rory better but Aurora is a bit unusual without being down right weird or made up. Is there a special reason for the name? I haven't been inspired by any names yet. Waiting to see what it is and then can really focus on a name.
AFM - things are going well. The nausea has eased but now I've got that awful metallic taste in my mouth. I had this last time with L so wondering if it is pregnant with boy thing or a just plain pregnant thing. Been feeling pretty tired and getting emotional but also having trouble sleeping. Got my first OB visit next week and then a few weeks later the 12 week u/s.
Anyway, best get ready for work tomorrow.
OMG Trish....welcome back and CONGRATS! What wonderful news for you :)
Must say I feel a bit left out now too! I also want to get my body back into shape, but if it was anything like 2 years ago, I was at my slimmest when I fell preggo with Max, so maybe I should just stay porky till after #2....even though it's not planned for a little while! The MIL tried to tell me that a clairvoyant said I'd be preggo by April....i'll show HER!
Mo For some reason, the name Aurora reminds me of a brand of car...like...Toyota Aurora!! I'm just crazy, don't listen to me!
Max and I have been very busy bees this last week. Even with DH away. We have had 3 birthday parties, a catch up with an old work friend AND 2 lots of swimming lessons! I was amazed today, I met a girl who had a 2year old and he was born at 23 weeks gestation. Totally amazing, and so scary! I couldn't really take my eyes off Max tonight just thinking about it!
Well, I'm off to bed...probably in for another night of Max poking me in the boob a few times at night and waking me up! At least hes given up shoving his dummy in my mouth as the 'cue'!
Take care everyone (and your little bumblebee's, cookies, etc etc. :))
Hey ladies....
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
Sorry i have been MIA for awhile, just been trying to settle in to our new home and then had to fly back to brisbane for xmas and then say bon voyage to my lil sister cause she has gone to america to be a exchange student for 2 months. God where has the past 15 yrs gone...
K where to start..........
Congrats to all the ladies expecting bubs again!!
Who else is TTCing?? We have started not offically trying but not preventing this month. Lol....I know it sounds stupid but my cycles have been stupid so we thought this might be a good idea till we are certain what is going on with my body.
Rhys got absolutely spoilt ova xmas.....Cost us a fortune to bring it all home on the plane cause we were over in weight. He loves the planes, the more the turbulence the better. Not so good for me tho...Lol. He is a climbing machine.... Gets up on the dining table if we don't tuck in the dining chairs properly. He is a worry. We have a whole sprinkler system installed around this house and rhys loves them!!
Well that is all i can think of at the moment.....its midnight and i am suprised i remembered that much.
Take care all.....
Amelia and Rhys xxoo
Morning all! Thanks for the congrats everyone, it still feels a bit surreal!
Mo - Aurora is a gorgeous name, would you call her Rory for short?
Amber - You're such a good girl doing a 2 hour gym session! If I did that I wouldn't be able to move for a week LOL! Have fun at your holiday home, have you got it all decked out now?
Becky - I am trying not to think about how scary 3 kids will be LOL! I figure 2 got easier over time so 3 will as well. Joel will be starting school when the bub is about 5 months old so I will only have 2 kids at home full-time which I'm sure will make things easier.
Saffi - Glad the m/s has eased up, I've never had the metallic taste before, it must be weird! I can't wait to find out if you are having a boy or a girl!
Julia - When do you think you'll start TTC #2? LOL at your MIL's prediction, I love proving people wrong! BTW Toyota don't have an Aurora, it's an Aurion! (I have one and I love it ;)) Maybe it's another car manufacturer that have an Aurora?
Amelia - Great to hear from you! I'm glad you're all settled in at Mackay, are you happy there? Rhys sounds like he got very spoilt over Christmas!
K slept really well last night after his rocky start, I didn't hear from him again until 7am so I am happy! DH & Joel went camping last night so it was nice to have some peace and quiet :). Have a great day everyone!!!
Mo - LURRRRVE Aurora, but DH hated it so it didn't make the list when I was prg with DS.
Dont' think I'll start TTC#2 till about July....we *might* be renovating our house this year so would want to do that first (there wouldn't be much room for a 2nd anyway!)....or we *might* be moving to Singapore with DH's work...everything is so up in the air so I don't think adding another baby to it would be a good idea! I'll go insane!
I know that it was an Aurion that toyota had...it's just that aurora reminds me of that! I'm a dag though!
Well going to another birthday party today and Max woke up at 6am too so I'm TIRED! Wiggles are watching him ATM while he eats his breakfast....good routine we got going on with that ATM!
HI to everyone and have a great day :)
Trish CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is awesome news!! Wow! Am stunned by how many of us are expecting their next bub already! And one is ready to pop any day now! TTC is a while off for us atm.
Saffi Thanks for asking. Yes we have had rain! Things dont happen by halves out here it seems. Not only does the Curry river have water in it for the first time since i moved out here (over 2 years!) but it came up over the bridge at some point. And we are expecting more rain in the next few days. Yesterday for the first time since i got back i saw blue sky - but not for long. I died stock up on milk yesterday. The road from Townsville is blocked and I believe they are going to start delivery stuff by rail......will see!
the move to Townsville doesnt look like it is going to happen. DH has informed me that he hates townsville. Well not Townsville exactly just the humidity that Townsville has. Can't say i blame him. I am lucky enough to work in AC but he is crawling around inside engines and all that sort of stuff so makes it hard for him. he is a big bloke too so he really feels it. We are leaving the Curry however - thank GOD!!!
yes Caitlyn is now a champion walker! Oh and we got her a jumping castle for Xmas and she loves it!! They have the same one at daycare and she practically stays in it all day - even had a nap in it yesterday!
Anyway - am supposed to be working so I should really get to it!
MWAH
Trish yep, she would be called Rory more than she would be called Aurora.
Which is the only reason Phil has agreed to the name.
Saffi no special reason for the name i just think it's beautiful, but i always said i would never give my child an really unusual name(Having been one of those unlucky children, even now days people still can't say Morwenna) So trying to get people's opinions before we decide :)
I get that metallic taste in early pregnancy.
mo was going to say Rory for short thats why i love it! Hope you get to use it! Its beautiful! :)
Afternoon ladies,
TRISH - I am loving it up here...major adjustment to get use to having no family around me but everything takes time to get use too. Weare 2 streets away from the beach and you can see it from our backyard. Congratson being pg again!! I am thinking blue. I would love a whole bunch of boys as long as they are as easy as what rhys is....but hey you never know. Are you going to find you the sex??
JULIA - Move to Singapore!! I thought my move was a big move but overseas...that would be a major adjustment....big time!
MO - I love Aurora....We were thinking Rory for Rhys....I love it! I just suggested it to DH and he rolled his eyes at me so i think that is a no.
SAFFI - I had that taste with rhys. I hated it big time. Are you going to find the sex out??
KIM - If your lurking....LABOUR VIBES for you darl!!
Just a quick one, Got the book Amber & i can't wait to start reading it.
Your such a sweetie & i really appreciate it :D
no worries hunny! So glad it got there! :)
Amelia - have you been to the Eimeo Pub yet? We had a great lunch up there when we visited and the scenery is to die for.
Yes, we'll be finding out the sex for sure. DH doesn't like surprises and I like to be organised.
Mo - I know what you mean about unusual names. I lurk in the baby name forum and am so tempted to post a reply with my name (Nerida - not Saffi). Its not unusual by any means but its not the Ella, Eva, Ava and Olivia that everyone is going with or the totally made up weird names. Actually I have been looking at indigenous names to see if there are any that I like. Kylie is an indig name (I won't be going with that!). Rant over
Kim - how are you going?
Julia - I love Singapore. Great balance of east meets west.
Rebecca - love the updated photo of Miss C. What a little girl she has become.
Trish - that's right Joel is getting up to school age. He is doing preschool this year?
Hi to Amber, Willow, Becky, Nic and anyone else I've forgotten.
NERIDA - No i havent yet.....DH went their with his dad the other weekend before xmas. DH is taking us their for lunch next Saturday.
KIM - How u going??
Becky- Im like you I would love a 3rd but not sure if i am ready just yet, i find the 2 pretty demanding atm. still tossing up if we ttc towards the end of the yr for a 2010 baby or a 2012 when Nix will start school.
Saffi at least Nerida is more common than Morwenna, but I'm sure you grew up with people mispronouncing your name all the time.
Trish hope your U/S goes well today, look forward to hearing all about it :)
Amber enjoy your weekend away.
Still here....had a S&S done yesterday.....thought things were gunna happen..but so far nothing other then alot of mucous and blood from them fiddling round...LOL
Kim- my waters ruptured 2 days after having an internal with Tyron, so fingers crossed but not legs that it helped move things along!
Trish had to stalk you to find out about your U/S lol but I'm so glad everything went well.
Hope you get an official EDD tomorrow.
Amber i finished New Moon & i did get annoyed at some parts in the book but still a good read overall, Now all i have to do is track down the last 2 which should easier as they were all in stock last week.
Will send the book off on Thursday if that's ok?
Kim hope your doing well, Can't be too much longer till Bumblebee is in your arms.
Oh ive been waiting to see how your scan went Trish....glad it went well :)
Mo thanks, im doing ok....taking day by day.....he really is a stubborn little man...more convinced Jasmine left him a note saying come late. At least this time next week ill def have him in my arms...more then likely induction will be booked for Friday if he isnt here by then!
Hey...Jasmine has been trying to cut 8 yes 8 teeth for the last 4 weeks now....and they just wont cut...i can see the white tooth but they wont come through....do you guys think its something to worry about??
Chelsea's all popped through rather quickly so im a little concerned.
Kim - I wouldn't worry. I've had teeth take like 6 weeks to cut through. I consider 'cutting' to be when you can see part of the white has come through the gum. I know with L's molars, it's taken weeks longer before the tooth is actually fully visible. So no, I wouldn't worry. They'll come in time. I hope she's a happy teether though!
Whoops, sorry everyone, in my blah state I forgot to let you all know! Yep, the scan went well, I saw a little flickering heartbeat which was very reassuring. I find out tomorrow arvo the official due date. I'm so tired and feeling yuck atm. DH goes back to work tomorrow after having 3 weeks off and I don't know how I'll cope! I had a nanna nap when K had a nap this morning. I won't be able to do that tomorrow!
K has started taking a couple of steps (finally!) which is good. He also says "cheese" (more like "geeze") when he sees our camera LOL!
Sorry for no personals tonight, I'll be back tomorrow when I fell less brain dead!
