Amelia - Generally TT doesn't start until around 2 years. Most children don't actually have control of their bladders and bowels until at least 18 months. Also they need to be able to tell you they need to go. Some people do start earlier that 2 years, some with luck some without.. It really depend on the child. A good idcator of when maybe a good time to start is when your child is down to only 1 or maybe 2 poos most days and they are around the same time each day... Thats just some stuff I remember from my childcare days (gotta keep up to date with all the textbook stuff!) I hope that is of some help to you. I too hope my daughter is close to or completely out of nappies when we have our next one. DH was 20 months when he was completely out of nappies day and night so it would be good if Tiera takes after him!

Kim - That is just fantastic things are going so well with you and the kiddies. I tell you what you are amazing to have had 3 kiddies in practically 3 years!!! I don't think I could have done it. I have seen the pics of F/B and its no wonder you are so in love with him, he is just gorgeous and the pics of the girls with his are beautiful! You have a lovely little family that you must be so proud of.

Kazaraz - Your DH must be over all the flight problems! Will be nice for you all to have him home again. I miss my DHlike mad even when he's only gone for a night. I hope the girls last so they can see their daddy. Its exciting Tay will be walking soon!

    Have a great night all

Kim - talk about making it hard for yourself! I found expressing very time consuming so added to BF which is also time consuming and then making up bottles no wonder you don't have any time. I see on FB that you're going to FF. Think that makes a lot of sense. Love the photos of Zachary. Think he is going to look like his Dad.
Kellie - my day off is Thursday. It takes about an hour (give or take) to come into the City. If you are wanting to come up in the early morning allow another 45 mins to the drive (Brisbane does have traffic conjestion). So, if you are only coming to the City for my sake then don't. If Thursday doesn't suit, we'll just have to catch up next time I'm in Melbourne (not sure when LOL).
Amelia - almost 2nd tri. Still feeling pretty blah but I think I am starting to feel better.
Hi Dragon - good to hear that Caden is doing so well.
Kaz - talk about frustrating. Just good that DH was able to get home. Sounds like he gets those frequent flyer points.

Hi to everyone else. Hope you and your bubs are well.

Got a day off tomorrow. DH looked after L today - first time on his own for more than a few hours since L was 8 months old. Both seemed to survive the experience. Anyway, off to have my hair done, then lunch with some friends and then some shopping. L is going to daycare so I really will have the day for myself.

Speaking of L tomorrow is his last day in the babies room at daycare He is ready to move up as all his friends are moving up or have already moved and there are new bubs in there that aren't even crawling yet. He isn't going to learn new skills from babies. Just having a tough time thinking my little boy isn't a baby anymore.

Oh well, got another baby on the way to make up for it LOL

Anyway, best be off to bed to get ready for my day of indulgence.

Geez...after I came in earlier today everyone went nuts and now I have loads to catch up on!! I can't COPE!!!

Well today Gym was good...Max hated the creche though and stuck like glue to one woman! She said he wouldn't let her leave him! There were millions of kids in there (school holidays) so poor little sensitive relaxy maxy was a bit overwhelmed! I was only away from him for 30 mins and had a good time too! I had a personal trainer who is a pre/post natal trainer so she was great! I'm going again next week so Max can get used to it some more and maybe by then I wont get as sore!

Anyway, I'll have to come back in here again tomoz to reply with some personals! Sorry, i'm being slack!

    Good night everyone

Kim - yes I have to say 3 kids in 3 years is a credit to you! Your right, if we ever fall pregnant again, Tay is going to be at least 2 when a new bub comes along. So that gap with be nice. There is 17 months between Mia and Tay, and maybe that was just slightly 2 close. As they are getting older its getting heaps better though. As for feeding, expressing, breast and bottle .... its hard work. I have expressed and topped up with both kids, as breastfeeding just doesnt work for me. Everyone will have their opinion on it (nurses etc) but its what works for you, and with two littlies already anything that you can give Zach is a credit to you!

    Pish -
I was reading about your advice on tt, Mia just isnt getting there. She has good days and bad, goes the loo without me know and has now done 2 poohs on the potty even. BUt now we are back to no nickers, potty is broken and refsusal to go onto the potty. Its a little frustrating and I am not really sure what to do, other than to keep persisting? Any tips?

    Saffi -
yes frequent flyer points, we have enough for a return flight already, we just need to think of somewhere to go. I would really like to go to tassie, not far and apparently its very pretty. We are thinking of organising something for easter, but not sure if we will go close or fly somewhere. Its the weekend after my birthday, so whatever happens it will be a nice treat!

    Julia -
well done and can you send some of your motivation through to me? I am joining the gym I have decided, I must say its a bit daunting considering I havent been since pre-kids! But the Beach House at Fountain Gate apparently has a womens only section, which might make things a little easier!

    Mo -
how are you and how is single didgets going?

    Trish -
how are you coping being preggers with two boys this time?

Hi to everyone else ... hope you have a great day!

    Hello All,
Minimax - I see youre in Perth? How is the weather lately, all over the place! I hear you on the gym front. I haven't put Caden into the Creche yet so I am not sure how he would go, but I really should do it at least once a week so I get some "mummy" time and can relax while doing a bit of exercise.

Saffi - enjoy your day of indulgence

Kimbaz - What an effort girl! I am sure that come a few years time when I am having my second, you will have been through the hard part with your kiddies and it will be heaps easier. I understand by what you mean "easy". My gf said that it never gets easier as they get older, but I think they get more independant, which makes it easier in one sense.

Monkey - Power biter huh? That sounds painful... Caden was a biter when teething, but at least he didn't do it any other time. Although, he has bitten my leg a few times to get attention a simple "hay mummy, I want some attention" would have sufficed!

Kazaraz - LOL about 2 being hard! I think I am put off having number 2 just cos it seems so much harder, let alone considering number 3! I take my hat off to all you dual mummies.

As for us, not much on. Busy with work, just bought a new car so DH can pick Caden up from FDC now (I was doing both, and driving 3 hour round trip to work ). No travel plans because we are still selling our business, then after its sold we get a BIG holiday .

Anyhoo, better go and get some housework done, have a great LONG AUSSIE DAY weekend!

    Hey everyone!

K is walking heaps more! Not long until he is officially walking I am guessing. He walked all the way from our lounge room to our kitchen before! He is also cutting a tooth atm so he is getting a bit cranky, but his sleep isn't too bad thank goodness.

Dragonbub - Two kids isn't too bad! I'm pretty sure it's the three year age gap between my boys that makes it easier, but we have adjusted really well and it's quite fun! Congrats on your new car!

Karen - How frustrating with Bruno's flights! I'm glad he was able to come home. I'm coping OK being pg with the two boys, thanks for asking! I think you just get used to it and you cope. I'd love to be able to have a nap sometimes though!! I reckon a 17 month age gap must be pretty full-on, I give you lots of credit for your hard work

Julia - I'm glad you went well at the gym, a personal trainer would be great!

Saffi - I hope you are enjoying your day out!

Kim - "Full on" is an understatement I'm sure! That's awesome that Craig is home too. I can't see how giving your bub EBM is bad?! You do what you want Kim and what you feel comfortable with. Whether that be FF, EBM or BFing, you have to do what works for you all .

Amelia - I definitely reckon each pregnancy goes quicker than the last! Having other children definitely keeps you busy and keeps your mind off being pregnant (well kind of, they can't distract me from all this indigestion LOL!). I started TT'ing Joel when he was 2, it took us a year before he was fully trained. I never pushed him (I was also pg with K so I was sometimes slack!), I just let him get there in his own time. It worked well for us!

Kellie - Have a great time away! Hopefully you can catch up with some Octo-mums

Pish - Sorry to hear things have gone really bad with your brothers and SIL. February in Melbourne is usually very hot, like Kellie said. Usually we have consistant days in a row where it's in the high 30's and up to 40 degrees. But do come prepared with some warmer clothes just in case! Melbourne can completely throw you sometimes LOL! Where in Melbourne will you be staying? We should all try and meet up!

Amber - Have a great time away this weekend! And happy birthday to your DH! How has the holiday house been going?

Mo - I'm glad Maddi is on the mend. K loves grapes too! He could eat them all day, but man, the nappies after a big grape-feast are so rank! I really feel for you in this hot weather, keep that AC cranked!

Becky - A very belated happy birthday to Liam for last Friday! I was going to post happy birthday that day, but BB went down and then it slipped my preggie brain . How did his party go?

    Hi to everyone else!

Hi everyone.... I have been MIA a bit lately but just cause I have been so busy! Will try and catch up as much as I can!

Trish - Aww thankyou for thinking of Liam! He had a wonderful day. had a big party and got very spoilt! Cant believe he is 3.... Are you hoping for a girl this time or really dont mind?

Dragonbub - How exciting!! What sort of car did you get? At least it will save you a bit of travel time!!

kazaraz - I hear you on the toilet training! Liam was almost done really and then all of a sudden went completely backwards and was having accidents all the time!! Now he is back to being great with wee's, but number 2's he just refuses to do on the toilet. Kicks up the biggest tanty. Its so frustrating hey but I guess all you can do is hang in there.... It will get easier!

Julia - Awwww.... hopefully Max will get better in the creche! I have joined a gym but at the moment its in a temporary building while the new one is being built. This one doesnt have a creche but when the new one opens in March it will so will be interesting to see ow my 2 go in there too...Good on you for joining the gym though!!!

Saff - How was your 'you' day? I hope you spoilt yourself! My sister has offered to take my 2 for the day on Wednesday so Im gonna do a bit of me pampering too! Cant wait! Not long now til your scan.... are you going to find out the sex???

Amelia - Oh no a biter!!! LOL. Just another phase they go through I guess hey... Hope your enjoying the time off with DH.

Kellie - It is so hot up here at the moment. Uncomfortably hot. Mainly just really really muggy.... I usually love Summer but at the moment I cannot wait for Winter!

Kim - Hey! Hope your still doing well... you make whatever decision is right for you and dont let anyone pressure you... Chat to you soon...

Re: toilet training.... Well as you can see I was having probs with Li, but Chel is going to be an early learner Im sure of it. Everytime she hears the word potty or toilet, she runs down to it, trying to rip her nappy off and then sits on it giggling. She also tells you as soon as she has done a wee and trots up to her change table to be changed.... LOL. Im not gonna start training her yet but its good to know she might be easier than Liam is!!!

Ok, Im stuffed now.... lol. Might go do a few things and catch up with you all again later!

Kaz-I'm getting more nervous but more excited.

Trish i know what you mean about the nappies ewwww!! K seems to be really getting around now.

Amelia i agree with the other Vic ladies

Becky glad Liam had a good day.

Julia sounds like you had a good time, I'm sure Max will start to love creche soon.

Maddi is over the croup & is back to her old self at last.
She's cutting her molars & has a really bad attitude at the moment from being locked inside all day because it's just too hot out for her & when she is bored she turns into Hurricane Maddison.
How 1 toddler can make so much mess is beyond me lol
Cookie is always kicking/moving so my belly looks like a scene from Aliens, i do love watching her move tho but she is so low it hurts to do anything, but at least it's only for a few more weeks

Becky we are getting no where with names. The other day i put a bunch of names in hat & let Maddi pick out one, she ended up picking out 2 & they were Aurora & Rori lol
So we still don't have any names & i don't see us agreeing on one till Cookie arrives.
At this rate Cookie will always be Cookie lol

Kaz - Ah TT is hard and I'm really not looking forward to it! I know with my nephew it took a long time and I was all out of ideas. Alls I can really suggest is monkey see monkey do.. put the potty beside to toilet and sit on the toilet n get Mia to (hopefully) sit on the pottty. I'm sure you're already praising her for it all, so thats all I can think of I'm sorry. I wish you all the best of luck with it all!

Dragonbub - Wow you must be releaved to have cut you trip to work down... 3 hr round trip is a bit crazy! Good to see you've got a nice holiday to look forward to, its just hard when you have no idea how long th business will take to sell, I hope its not long and you are organising your holiday really soon!

Trish Wooo Hooo for K! Once they find their feet they just seem to take of don't they! Thats great news! I would love to catch up! I didn't wan to menion it incase everyone was busy... but I guess theres only one way to find out We're staying in the city (cnr of William and Flinders), but I'm more then happy to travel to where's easiest for you and I'm really not restricted on what day as I am there for 7 days. The only thing I have to do on a particular day is go to the St Kilda Markets which I think from memory is a Sunday?! Apart from that everything else we wanna do can be done on any day, so if it is doable, you let me know when n where. I'd love to meet K and T LOVES other kiddies!

Becky Wow Chelsea does sound like it wont take her too long to TT... You're very lucky there! Hopefully Liam wont taketoo much longer for you, its not as easy as its made out to be thats for sure.

Mo - Great to hear Maddi is better and bubby is so active, thats always a good sign! Ah teething is just too mean on the little people.. just not fair! Tiera is also a great mess maker... I really don't see the point in putting everything away again when she's only gonna put it out. I now have all of the toys seperated into different containers and bring out one container per day (a different one each day) so she's got different toys and not as many to put away at night when she's gone to bed! Its working well! lol

Ooooo its my turn now! A friend of mine came over yesterday and spent the day with us which was great. We only popped over to the shops, the rest of the day we just spent talking and playing with the children as it was far too hot to do much else and she is always excpecting her next bubba lou in 6 weeks. Her little is 3 days older than Tiera and they are just so gorgeous together, they play so well (apart from a few times Tiera got brought to the ground n rammed with toys, and held down etc! lol) They are the same sort of size, both short, but Brecklin is lighter than Tiera. I put an identical pink nappy on him as Tiera, picked them both up and took them fora walk... hehehe it was too cute. I had to see him go home in a pink nappy as his dad would freak!!! hahahaha

Well thats about it for me... Tiera is being a bit whingy today I'll take her for a walk shortly and hopefully she'll get over it, just too many people at the park again this w/k.... long weekend, the place is fully. So thats 54 cabins, another 40 or so powered site and about 300 people camping on the Island... I really can't wait until most of them are gone so we can have our lives back to c=some kind of normalcy!

Anyways ladies I hope you all have a great weekend
Oh and if Trish and I meet up, all of the Melb people are most welcome to join us, I'd love to final meet some of you
