Amber - At the moment I don't have the brains either!! Lol. Yeah Rhys' godmother is studying nursing and wants to do midwifery but has to complete that first to then specilise in it!! Strange but they have told me and reassured me that it includes everything in it. I think the difference is that once I complete it that I can only do midwifery where as if I was to do nursing then specilise in it I could work in more fields...eg. just do normal nursing and/or midwifery.
Kellie - I went to the Big W one and stood in the lay by line for 2 hours!! With Rhys....HELL!! Never again I say!! Lol.
Just popping in quickly caus ei wanted to say Amber I love the names!!!! I think they go really really well with Myles IYKWIM! Myles and Flynn sounds really good, they are both not-so-common names but not weird! They really go fantastically. And Eloise is really pretty! Would you call her Elle for short?
Love them!
Sorry everyone else, will be back later for personals. X
Kaz - Only thing worse than baby brain in the first tri is baby brain in the third. I seriously can't remember from one minute to the next what I am doing or was about to do. I heard that baby brain has been scientifically proven. Trish - poor K. Runny bum and then vomit. Sounds viral to me. Better slow down a bit in that case, don't want any early deliveries. Today I started on the pantry but I need more tiered stands etc to finish it off. Then I started in on the linen closet. Even manged to throw out some sheets etc that I haven't (and would never) use in years. Amelia - great that you have a career plan for when the kids are a bit older. I am taking about 8 months off work. Last time was about 7 months. Amber - love the names. A colleague's DD is Eloise. Its not a name you hear very often. Is there a special reason behind your choice of names? Mo - good to hear that your Mum is doing well. That must be a relief for you. Willow - where are you? Nickers - hi.
Going to attempt the Target sale tomorrow. There's a few things that L would enjoy and is up to using. Nothing stands out for bubs as we have most stuff anyway.
I went nuts in Big W for summer clothes for Rhys, Bubba H and I!! Lol. I needed some new summer tops that would be suitable for breastfeeding while out and got 4 and then got some real cute outfits for both Rhys and Bubba H. I laybyed it all cause I would have got in trouble bringing all that home today!! Lol.....
Well its an early one for me tonight ladies....Night Night all!!
Hey ladies,
Sorry its been a while! So many new bubbas and BFPs. I am really starting to get clucky now.
DH and I have "set the date" so to speak to TTC#2 in January 2010. Less than 6 months away, woohoo
Gee, our lil people are not so little anymore. Caden has been a bit sick lately, cutting his 2 year molars on top of everything else. He repeats most words now, and is so funny when saying trampoline "trampooorlillene" CUTE!
I am back at work full time soon too, and doing my second last unit at uni so it has been a busy time for me. I love coming on here but every time I even glance at the computer, DH is nagging at me to spend time with him, or there is some chore that needs doing.
Anyway, hopefully I will pop on more often. Catchyas soon (hopefully )
Amelia - the shopping sounds great. I had a bit of a spend up the other day as well, I got 2 pairs of maternity pants, jeans and cargos, that can be rolled up for summer. As for summer tops, I have brought 3, so I don't know if that will get me through. I am spewing a bit, cause I gave away or chucked out all my maternity clothes after Tay, because I had decided I was going to be thinner by the time I conceived N0 3. Of course that has not happened, and I had two great pairs of shorts in that lot, oh well. Just have to buy more I guess!
Dragonbub - Hi and sounds like 2010 and going to start off with a bang for you, literally ! I keep looking at Tay and still cannot believe that in just over 2 months she is 2! My god, she just does not seem like a 2 year old. Mia seemed so much more grown up at that age. Has anyone else that has older kids found that?
Anyway, I am having one of those days today. I want to do something, but I have no idea what. My DH has offered for us to go and have lunch with him, and then I wouldn't mind going to Target, but it all takes effort to get us all dressed and out the door. I just don't have that ... YET!! I am hoping it returns soon!
Another thing, after reading Amelia's post about baby clothes, that makes me really excited to see what we are having. But we are in two minds, as the surprise the first time was the best! Argh, what to do?
Kaz - why don't you do what we are doing and find out but not tell anyone!! Its fun teasing ppl with it!! Lol. Tho we have told immediate family and the god parents but that is it!! My SIL let it slip on FB the other day and I quickly deleted her post but don't know who read it and clicked onto it!! Lol.
Whoever asked about names and I said we hadn't decided on Harrison's middle names well we finally have so now here is our selected names: HARRISON BAYLEY RONALD JONES - Harrison cause we like it, Bayley cause it was unusal and we both agreed on it, Ronald which I dont like but agreed to carry it on for DH's family cause Peter James which is Rhys' middle name's is my dad's name and I wanted to honour him with my first born son cause he passed away in 2001. HANNA EMILY CLAIR JONES - Hanna is shortened version of my mum's name Johanna, Emily is DH's Great Grandmothers middle name and the english version of Amelia cause Amelia is a spanish name, Clair is my middle name.
Okay off to put Rhys down for his morning nap and get myself dressed and hang out washing!! Have to go out once he wakes and buy some new washing baskets cause mine are cactus. O how fun....NOT!!
Amelia....Amelia is my favourite name EVER! If I have a girl I want that name so much (plus Louise for the middle name coz it's my Sis & SIL middle name ) but DH doesn't like it.....I'll get my way! I want it to rhyme with Syliva, Andrea & Julia...and Amelia just fits perfectly. I've had my heart set on it for EVER! Hope I get UTD with a pink one next! My mums parents are spanish so there is another aspect too....I think I have enough points to get it passed!
Kaz - I don't have much enthusiasm at the moment to hurry out the door either...and I'm not even up the duff (that I know of ) What I wouldn't give to be a part of the Target toy sale! There is nothing like that up here and toys are so expensive! Max just has to play with the same old!!! Although he'd rather re-arrange the rocks in the water feature outside anyway!
Dragon - Good to see you back 6 months is going to go in a flash! You may as well start now really!! It might take you 6 months to win IYKWIM...not that I'm trying to put you off or jinx you
AFM - It's DH's birthday and I made him a cake yesterday....can't wait to sink my teeth into it..even though it took me most of yesterday to make it! The girls are having a 'test fest' in the TTC thread on Sunday and that is the day AF is due....we'll see if I get a BFP or not!! I'm scared!
Hi to everyone else...hope sick bubbas and mummas are all better.
Amelia - I must apologise to you, only have I just realised that I have basically implied that you are having a girl on your post about the bubba kicking. But I didn't mean it how I have written it, I just meant that my kids have been bad since being inside and still haven't changed now they are outside, so maybe it is a girl. I feel bad. So so sorry! Of course I have no idea what you are having and I hope you don't have people asking if it is a girl because of my post.
As for our sex, maybe we will do that, but it does not help that I have been yeah we are finding out, sure we will tell you up until now!
Julia - Wouldn't a BFP be a great birthday present for your DH!!
Just been investigating bungee jumping for my DH's birthday and it does not seem like they do it in Melbourne, does anyone know different?
Kaz - Its fine darl.....You implying that is a girl is nice cause everyone keeps thinking boy so maybe now they will think you have slipped up with it and will have them guessing even more!! Lol. Totally fine darl nothing to worry about at all. SIL actually used bubs name in the post and cause the names we have chosen are very gender selected kinda made it obvious!!
Amelia - I knew there was a reason why I should go onto FB more often (D'Oh!). I just saw on your ticker that your 29 weeks! Time is certainly getting closer for you. Again I love the choices of the full names. Kaz - how ya doing? Trish - where are you? Dragon - hi there! Woohoo for your TTC plans.
Hi to everyone I've missed. Willow, where are you?????
Today went for a hospital tour. Going to the same hospital as last time but it is a new building so we wanted to have a bit of an orientation so we know where to go "on the day". Its nice and new but disappointed in that the birthing suites are huge complete with bath and the rooms are small. Last time we had a room with a double bed so DH could stay over. This time all rooms are single and have a caravan type bed for the partner. DH isn't liking the idea of staying with me anymore.
Went to the Toy sale yesterday and bought a lot of things for L and put more on laybuy for his birthday and Christmas. Didn't get anything for bubs but might go back again and see if there is anything she needs.
Found out yesterday a GF is having a baby. She's only about 5 weeks but it so great as she and her DH had been trying for a year, are in their 40s and the specialist told her she'd have only about a 5% chance of conceiving naturally and not much better through IVF. Got everything crossed that this one sticks.
Hey all, I'm around, but my eyes are hanging out of my head and I think I'll go to bed in a minute. I'm using DH's laptop too and it's the WORST set up, it's driving me nuts so I don't feel like being on the net atm LOL!
K is still not too well. His diarrhea has kind gone, but he is still doing very dodgy, offensive poos fairly frequently. He also has really red cheeks, but they're cold, not like the hot red cheeks he gets when he's teething. He started snuffling this arvo and has been really clumsy (walking into things and falling down stairs, etc), I'm a bit worried so we'll take him back to the GP tomorrow. The poor little man. He didn't sleep too well last night, he cried on and off for quite a while. Luckily I didn't have to get out of bed to go to him because he'd only cry for a few seconds at a time, but it was enough to wake me up all night.
I took him with me to the Target toy sale this morning while Joel was at kinder and he was great, as long as I kept the food and drinks up he was happy! I bought lots of birthday and Christmas presents for our nieces and nephews, it feels great to have them out of the way already . I have been SO exhausted since getting back though, the trip really knocked the stuffing out of me. And I have the WORST groin pain today, it's agony to walk. Ahhh! Sorry for the whinge!!
Saffi - What a bummer the rooms don't really accomodate your DH . Oh well, you won't be in there for long. What awesome news for your friends! They must be over the moon . I had two friends announce that they are 8 weeks pregnant yesterday Must be something in the air atm!!
I wanna reply to everyone else, but I think I'll come back tomorrow, I seriously need to go to bed!
