Girls I have posted a few pics on facebook of tadpole, I was going to post them on here but I cannot work out how to do it, and with the headache I have I just can't be bothered thinking! I am pretty sure there is no evidence there of either sex, but would be interested in your opinion! I have another one on the film I might scan and add.

Scan was horrible today, the lady doing it was the same one that did my internal a while back and stayed in the room whilst I got dressed and undressed, I found that really uncomfortable. Anyway she was funny, and showed me the screen 3 times for a milisecond. Bruno and I were in shock at how rude she was. Bruno commentated on the whole scan as I didn't get to see anything as she turned the screen away from me. The baby kept moving to the wrong spot and she would tap my belly to make it move, then she said I am just going to have to do an internal. This is after I had been in there for an hour and 10 minutes being prodded. She sent us to the waiting room to see if it would move for half and hour, got us back in, it wouldn't co-operate so she did an internal. I have never felt pain like it, she had me crying it was so bad. She said do you want me to stop, and you can come back. By this stage I just wanted it over and said to just finish. 2 hours later we walked out. I was really distressed and disappointed. Needless to say I will not be going back!

Feeling left out with all the Melbourne meet up talk. Sounds like a lot of fun. Definitely will be in Melbourne at some point, some day so we'll have to meet up too.

Kaz- what a horrible experience to go through. I would make a complaint about her. Was it a hospital clinic or a private provider? Did you get the Downs results? I've always been to ultrasound places that have a huge plasma screen on the wall and get to see everything that they see. Also the Dr usually comes in afterwards does a bit of a scan and then writes up a report and gives you the results afterwards. I'll check out FB to see if I can provide any "expert" advice.

Actually now you mention it L was awake earlier than usual today too. Managed to keep him in his cot until usual time of 6.30am. He is happy to chatter to himself and his teddies and we were happy to lie in for longer. Mo - we are always up by 7am too - even on the weekends!

Saw OB today. Nothing new to report. At this stage waiting for Monday (EDD) and he'll do an exam and see where I am up to. There is some talk about an induction next Thursday or at the very latest early the week after next.

There is no plasma screen in the room and it is just MDI, they are just public and anyone can go to them I think? I have had a night to think about it and I am going to make a complaint, because Bruno and I both think we were not treated the best. It was my downs scan and she didn't give me a number as most people said she would. We have not had a downs scan before, as they don't do them at this stage in South Australia.

    Oh the joys.

On a positive note my little munchkin was very active and rolled over. Bruno was telling me all about it and said he couldn't believe how much it was moving. He said he cannot remember either of the girls being like that. Also to cheer me up he brought me the intelligender kit that I have been umming and ahhhing about. I know it is only 90% accurate, but we thought why not give it a burl. It is either wrong or right hey. I did it this morning and we got a really dark greeny grey colour, which is a boy! We are both very skeptical and not taking it for gospel, but as I said to Bruno it will at least be nice to think of the possibility of blue for 6-8 weeks before the big scan! I will be interested to see if the test was $75 worth spending or not!

Kaz you wont get your downs result till you see your OB or you can call the office & ask for your results.
Down here they get sent off the royals children's & they combine the ultrasound & blood test results takes about a week i think.
There is a place in Pakenhan that does ultrasounds, they have the plasma above the bed & everything and the bulk bill for most ultrasounds. Maybe get a referral for them for your 20 week scan.

Saffi at least you have an end date in sight, Did you go over with L? Hope bub makes an appearance soon for you

Kaz - oooo, fingers crossed that you have a little boy on board (if that's what you are hoping for). Maybe the increased activity and the sickness is a sign that you don't have another little girl. Be interesting to see how accurate it is.
Went onto FB and couldn't see any signs of boy or girl in what you'd posted. BTW - your daughters are sooooooooo cute. Tho' Mia is definitely a poser for the camera. I think she's gonna be a heart breaker when she grows up.
Its amazing how the states operate differently. I'm sure the results will be fine.
Mo - went almost a week over with L. No matter what I know that in no more than 2 weeks that I will have bubs in my arms.
Amber - sounds like a plan. When you speak with Terri send her my best and I look forward to hearing of the arrival of her bub.

A boy would be lovely Saffi, just because I have not experienced it, but if we get another pink bundle that is ok as well.

As for Mia being a poser, I know! I cannot take a picture without her pulling her 'smiling' face! I try to tell her to just smile normally, but unless I catch her off guard it does not happen!

    Hello all,

Here is a copy/paste job of today sorry I'm really lazy I couldn't be bothered re-typing it all:

I saw the social worker today I told her what happened and she is going to organise for the head obstitrician (sp?) and manager of maternity to speak with me. The Ob. will go through my file and try and explain everything that happened to me and where things went wrong and why and talk to me about trying to concieve again and see if together with the dr that saw my baby if they can give me an indication of what could of caused it.

The head of maternity I'm going to talk to about my emergency care when I first got to hospital, my feelings of being dismissed like I didn't know what my own body was telling me and being sent home to miscarry in the bathroom. She is then going to talk to the drs that attended to me and then tell my story to all the ppl at the ward in hopes that this will not happen to anyone else again and after hearing my story they may or may not write to the minister with some recommended policy changes. I said to them I don't want compensation, I don't want to complain, and I don't want the ppl involved to get in trouble, but I don't want it to happen again and I don't want to be swept under the table and forgotten.

The social worker thinks I need to deal with and be debriefed on all the other things that have happened and to try and come to terms with my near death experience before I can grieve properly, so hopefully these meetings help me get some closure so I can start to heal because I don't feel like I'm really going forward in life I just keep thinking of all the horrible things that happened and I can't let them go...

... moving along news, I got a Dyson, it sounds like a mini space ship about to take off, it lifts the carpet and it feels so fluffy afterwards *loves*

Celtic - great that some meetings are being set up to help you understand what happened and why. As you said also a chance for you to input into their processes to hopefully ensure this doesn't happen again. Hope you get the information you need.

Celtic - I admire your strength to stand up and make sure that what you went through never happens to anyone at that hospital again. Sometime's I think doctor's, nurses etc are so quick to dismiss us when we have something going on which is sad. We are the person who knows our bodies best, and this should count for a lot.

Not much going on with me, I am heading out to the movies at 9pm. Hoping to make it that long, I am ready to crash and burn and it is just 7.15pm! We are seeing My Sisters Keeper so that is bound to be a tear jerker, just what I need after being such a cry baby yesterday ! No nanna nap today, they make my day at the moment! Anyway better go, I need a shower to wash my hair.
