Amber - It's amazing how fast the last two years has gone isn't it?! You're now an experienced mum :D. How awesome that Myles will soon have a playmate! I soooo can't wait to find out if you're having a boy or a girl!!!
Kaz - Oh my goodness, how scary :hug:. I hope you are taking it VERY easy now. Tell Bruno that I said he has to do everything for you from now on ;)
Nic - I think I was too nice to that lady too! I won't be going out of my way for her again.
Kellie - I'm so glad the scan went well and you got to see your little bub! Are you going to find out the gender at your 20 week scan?
Saffi - :hug: It sounds like you are doing it a bit tough with Immi's sleeps atm. I hope it improves for you soon. Could she be overtired? When babies don't get enough sleep they struggle to fall asleep which creates a vicious cycle. How long are you keeping her awake for? Alana can only cope with about 40 minutes of wake time (including a feed) atm, as soon as she shows tired signs I wrap her up and put her to bed. I'm sure you already know this, I just thought I'd mention it just in case :hug:.
Mo - I hope Maddi is having fun playing with all her Dora stuff!
Julia - Hope you're have a great time back home!!
Well the peace has been broken, Alana is awake :doh:. DH has taken K to the physio to get his bow legs checked out and he has taken Joel with him too, it's been so quiet around here! Better run, hi to anyone I've missed!

All is going well here, K is trying to commando crawl & i even caught her getting on all fours so she could reach her toy. Hard to think she'll be crawling around after her sister soon.
M is doing very well, she's eating so much more these days& the tanties are becoming less frequent but she has taken to hitting & biting Kodi. Can't wait till Kodi can start fighting back Maddi's going to be so shocked lol

Trish - I'm certain she's overtired. She does catnap and often falls asleep while BF. I do try to wrap and put her down but she wakes up as soon as I wrap her or if I pat her in the cot she screams until I pick her up. As not confident she gets enough BM I BF or FF her again. I guess I am used to L's routine when he was younger. We'll get there.....
Got 2 sick bubs here today. L has a cold and a gunky eye and Immi has a cough and a gunky eye too. Anyway Dr checked them over and given me something for L. He listened to Immi's chest and commented on her reflux. I hadn't said anything to him about reflux. Going to try some infant Gaviscon.
Anyway Immi is wanting the other side so gotta go.

Saffi Immi & Kodi sound so much a like, Do you think you could be over feeding her which is causing tummy aches? That's what our problem was I was confusing her tired signs for hungry signs.
Maybe try her with a dummy, Kodi refuses dummies so we ended up putting her to sleep on tummy during the day. Maybe wrap her before you feed.
As soon as i stopped offering Kodi the boob all the time we got ourselves into a great routine.
Don't doubt yourself with the b/fing as long as Immi is having a good amount of wet nappies your doing well, your doing a great job Saffi :)

Amelia - congratulations again on the arrival of your little boy. I love the name.
Mo - thanks for the advice. I could be overfeeding her. Yesterday I managed to put her down during the day and she slept for over an hour. Maybe I need to work on both time and tired signs.
Kept L home from daycare yesterday. I thought it was going to be the day from hell but it was actually quite good. Both kids have a cough and poor L has a runny nose. He's on some medicine to help bring up the phelm but the trouble is getting the medicine into him in the first place. I've got a sore throat too now....
Immi slept through some 9.30pm to 4am (and me too). My BBs were hurting by then.
DH and I are going out for dinner to celebrate our anniversary tonight. The ILs are coming over to mind the kids. We haven't been out for dinner together or with the kids since Immi arrived so am really looking forward to it.
Anyway, best get the house clean before they arrive.

Saffi - Woohoo on Immi's one hour nap!!! Well done :D I meant to post yesterday, but ran out of time (as you do) to say that I was overfeeding K at one stage and he ended up with reflux. My paediatric chiro advised me to feed him no earlier than 2 1/2 hourly, even if it meant taking him for a walk in the pram or wearing him in a sling to stretch him out. Within 3 days his reflux was gone, he was more settled and slept better. With Alana, I do the feed/play/sleep routine, she is awake for around 40 minutes or so, then wrapped and put to bed. I have to keep an eye on the clock and her behaviour during her wake time so I don't miss the boat and she ends up overtired. It seems to be working pretty well.
Amelia - Welcome home! Hope your recovery is lovely and quick. Enjoy your newborn snuggles :D
Mo - How gorgeous Kodi is trying to crawl, soon she'll be on the move. Look out!!
Kellie - Glad to hear you're finding out the gender, I'm the same as you and need to know these things!!

All is going good here. Alana slept for 8 hours last night, woohoo! Not bad for 5 1/2 weeks :D. Joel started sleeping for that long at the exact same age, here's hoping she keeps following in his footsteps!

Thanks for the birthday wishes for Tay girls. It was her birthday yesterday and we had her party on Saturday. It was a great day, the weather really was turned on for us which was excellent. My girls have just been non stop all weekend and had a nice sleep in this morning which was nice. We were heading to Lilydale for my dh's skydive yesterday and it was cancelled for the 2nd time due to the unpredictable Melbourne weather. So re-booked for next Sunday, 3rd time lucky! This meant we could spend the day doing things for Tay which made the day better anyway, so we went to Big Slide at Knox, great play cafe. The kids had a ball. Then we went and had lunch at Flippin Pancakes up Mt Dandenong. We come home and I had a nanna nap, so tired but feeling ok today, apart from a persistant headache.
So on to more important things! My ultrasound. Everything was fine and we had a fantastic lady do the scan. She explained everything and I even learnt a few new things. Unfortunately for us, our baby was between my ribs and belly button and lying across my tummy on its back. This made getting the all important heart and face details really hard and we went for a walk half way through to get the baby to move, which it did slightly! Everything looks fine and we seen the baby in 4d, amazing! I have some pics which I will post on facebook when I get a chance. We did find out what we are having, but have decided to keep it a surprise. I have told my parents, inlaws, brothers and sisters but that is it. I have told everyone we couldn't see which was just easier! My placenta is also out front, which explains the limited feelings of movement thus far. Although lately I am feeling bubs a lot when I go to bed, which is good!
So that is about it for me.
Amelia - Glad to hear you are home and feeling better this time around. I remember also feeling better after my c section with Tay!
Mo - I hope Maddi is feeling better!
Trish - Congrats on Alana sleeping through for you, great when they cross that bridge!

Immi is having her vax today. Her cough has also got worse so pleased that we are going back to the Drs. I've alsocome down with something which has effected my voice so I a hardly able to talk. Good thing that I only have Immi here to talk to.
Mo - I think it might be a boy this time, only cause I've been feeling so sick and I didnt have that at all 1st pregnancy, but who knows? Miss T is convinced she is having a baby sister. I cant believe K is trying to crawl already!
Saffi - Immi sounds very much like Tahlia as a bub! Liked to sleep on the boob too! Hope you and your DH had a nice dinner out and I hope your feeling better soon

AFM - not much happening, starting to feel a bit more human which is nice! Have been a bit stressed for the last few days, some close friends lost their bubba so I have been feeling very emotional.

Saffi- i hope you had a nice annaversary, ours is on Thursday 4yrs. we are going to do dinner and movies (couples retreat comes out thought it would be very appropriate!) a friend is going to mind the boys, she has 2 boys also so it will be interesting!
i uploaded pics on FB but we had Ty's lil party yesterday at zig zag railway in the blue moutains, the kids had a ball it was a great day, even though Ty's bday is not for another 8days!

Not much to report here. I have a sore throat, ears and head today. Which is nothing new, as I have had it for weeks now. Two different courses of anti's have done nothing, so I am seeing the ob today and will ask if there is anything he can give me that is ok for bubs. My throat has just got sore, so that is a new symptom and I guess means I am not getting better naturally at all.
Had the swine flu jab on Monday, as did DH. I think with all the reports of horror stories of pregnant women we decided to take no chances. It didn't hurt and I am not a fan of needles. Mia was more distressed seeing us get a jab than anything, which makes me dread 4 year old needles next year.
Still feeling limited movements with bubs. It is not that I never feel it, it is just that I rarely feel it. Which I hate. I am not a fan of this placenta out in front business, much rather be normal so that I can feel my baby!
Anyway that is about it for me, we have playgroup in a minute and I am really looking forward to the girls moving from my hip and playing! Fingers crossed they are not really clingy today!

hi everyone....sorry I haven't been around....travelling and only just got internet at mum's.
I've been really busy here in Perth....and starting to feel sick now which is rather rubbish...but hey, I'm sure I was asking for it in a way!!! I get my first scan when I get back to Singapore so I have that to look forward to.
Max's party for his birthday is on this Sunday, and we've invited nearly EVERYONE we know (best way to catch up while in Perth I guess :)) so it should be good. We are having a BBQ breakfast at Kings Park, so I hope the weather stays as beautiful as it has been for the last week.

Its been really quiet in here girls, where are you all?
Not much happening this end. I have started getting uncomfortable sleeping, which is sad and way too early to be happening! It is also weird that I hate anyone touching my belly, kids, Bruno ... I cannot handle it. Cannot remember feeling like that with the girls.
Anyway ... other than that not much news. Is anyone else having issues with their 2 or almost 2 year olds constantly whinging for no apparent reason? Tay has been like it for a couple of days now and I have to say, it is doing my head in majorly!

Hello to all our other gorgeous mummies! Not much happening here just on the countdown. My doula was here today and i am really getting confident that this brith will be different! Im off to a twilight convetnion tomorrow or as DH would say a NERD convention pppft i dont care i love it lol!

Kaz - How are you going? It looks like a beautiful day for Bruno to do his skydive! K has whingy days, but it's usually when he's teething (like at the moment :rolleyes:).
Saffi - How are you, L and Immi going?
All is going well with us. K is cutting a 2 year old molar so we've had nasty nappies, nappy rash and grumpiness over the past week. He actually is coping better this time though and he doesn't wake up overnight with them. He actually hasn't woken overnight for something since Alana was born, what a good boy! He is really trying to make conversation these days, putting lots of works (and gibberish!) together, it's so cute :). He'll try and tell me how Daddy went on the motorbike (K calls them "Mo-bikes") or he'll say "Let's go mum!" when it's time to pick Joel up from Kinder. It's great that we're starting to understand what he wants more these days!
Alana is going great, she's such a great little bub. Very placid, happy and easy going, just what you want for baby number 3! She's sleeping well overnight, waking just once for a feed.

Trish - the weather is great here today, so I am thinking that Bruno is going to have third time lucky and get his birthday present of a skydive today, yay! The weather has been great all weekend here, but I did hear it is going to be a cold and wet week. Oh well. I have to say the pictures of Alana you have put on Facebook are gorgeous. I am not just saying that either, she is a really nice looking little girl. She has amazing eyes, so cute! I am glad she is a good baby for you. Hopefully K is good for you today and has no whingy day! As for Tay and her whinging, the last two days have been better, I am sure its not teeth as I counted and she has the same as MIa. Go figure.
Mo - They all have their days at the moment, they don't called them the terrible 2's for nothing! I don't look at Maddi any differently from Tay, they are just 2 year olds being 2 year olds. What you are going through reminds me a lot of Mia with Tay at similar ages of Maddi & Dakota. But in saying that, I actually think Tay is worse. Look out NO 3!
Amber - Sounds like you had fun at the twighlight convention yesterday. Half your luck! Not long to go now until New Moon is out, very exciting! Also I think what you are feeling and going through at the moment is part of the norm when you are having No 2. I remember feeling so guilty towards the end that we were having another baby, poor Mia. Added to the fact Myles is not sleeping in the afternoons, which means no break for you! Keep your chin up and have a great rest today chickee xx

We had a nice and early start this morning, well had Mia attempt to come in during the night. 3 attempts to put her back to bed with screaming early hours is not fun. Then we had them both wander in at 7 and we are like it is just too early for a Sunday. It did not take much talking in for them to go back to bed with us and we all got up around 10. That is more like it! We haven't done that for ages.
My baby has gone from the odd movements to not stopping at all yesterday. Definately not complaining, I feel so much better feeling bubs! Last night we sat on the couch watching my belly dancing around, cute. Over half way now, so the count down is starting to be on.
Anyway better go and get organised.

Kaz - I can't wait for the day when both our kids will come into bed with us for a Sunday morning lie in. L has never been one to lie still once he is awake so we may be waiting a long time.
Yay for bub's moving.
Mo - I don't think either L or I would cope if he dropped his day sleep. He was down for close to three hours this afternoon.
Trish - pleased to hear that Miss A is treating you well. Over the last month L's language skills have improved so much. Not only is he speaking more words and starting to put sentances together but he is able to understand so much more that we say to him.
Julia - sorry to hear that the MS is starting.
Nic - hope you enjoyed the movie and dinner.

OK, I'm back with a soppy post from me :redface:. Now that we're in October and all our "bubs" are turning two it has made me reflect on all you guys. Some of you I have known for over 2 and half years when we were pregnant together as Belly Buddies, others I have gotten to know after your bubs arrived and you joined the Octo group. You have all become very special friends and I'm so glad to have gotten to know you all. I wanted to say a little something about each of you, just for a warm and fuzzy factor LOL. So here goes:
Nic - You are one of the first Octomums I got to know when we became Belly Buddies in the very beginning . I was always impressed with how organised you were to update our lists, you always knew exactly what was going on with each of us! I will always remember your journey of BF'ing Tyron and my goodness do I have a lot of respect for you! You worked so hard for him and I think you are an absolute SUPERMUM! I really don't know how you find the time and energy to do everything you do.
Saffi - Also a fellow Belly Buddy (twice now!). You have been such a lovely, calm presence in our group. Always supportive and having kind words to say to anyone who needs it. I love having you around and look forward to reading your posts.
Mo - What can I say about my friend Mo? You are such a lovely person and I am so lucky to have gotten to know you IRL too. You do such a brilliant job with your girls and you have a lot of strength. Our group wouldn't be the same without you and your thoughtfulness :hug:.
Amber - You are honestly one of the sweetest, kindest people I have ever met! You are just a gorgeous person who brings lots of sunshine to our group. You are there for everyone, anytime. And Myles is so precious, he is so lucky to have you as his Mummy :D. We will all be jumping for joy when Nudger joins your beautiful family.
Kellie - I am lucky to have met you IRL too :D. You, your DH and Tahlia make such a beautiful family. It has been so nice getting to know you over the past couple of years, you are such a lovely person. It's so cool that K and Tahlia share the same birthday LOL!

Kaz- my almost 2 year old doesnt stop whinging! I was ready to give her up for adoption on Saturday she was so feral. Luckily the nicer Tahlia returned Sunday morning! I was beginning to wonder why I was having another bub cause I couldnt even control her!
Mo - I've changed my mind, I'm getting extremely strong pink vibes now. I dont mind what it is either way as long as he/she is healthy! I will be finding out in just over 8 weeks though!
AFM - nothing much new, got my downs scan on Thursday so looking forward to seeing little peanut again!
I cant believe Tahlia will be 2 in less than 3 weeks!

Max is having a good day today. I can't believe he arrived today at 3:55pm two years ago! He's grown so much and I get so much out of just watching him do his thing and be HIM. He's perfect! (Kaz...although whingy...VERY whingy...it does my head in). I feel pretty crapola today...just constantly queezy unless I"m shovelling something into my mouth! Cheese and vegemite...I'm addicted :)

I also want to say you ladies mean so much to me, You were all there for me when i went through all horrible crap with my mum. I honestly would of have a complete breakdown if wasn't for you all being there to give me virtual hugs & listening to me post after post.
