Mo - I gotta have another c/s cause of where my placenta is sitting in my uterus. There was talks early on in my pregnancy that it was on my scar but it is just shy of my scar now and has stretched my scar on one side. Going for a VBAC is possible but the outcome could be a hysterectomy (80% chance apparently). I went and got 2nd and 3rd opinions and they all said the same thing....one even said a 95% chance!! :-O!! We are waiting till these 2 are in school then we are going to have another 2 kidlets then!! God listen to me I haven't even had our second and I am talking about our 3rd & 4th!! Lol.
By then I will hopefully be alot skinnier and be able to go for a VBA2C!!
-
Those odds are pretty high, i'd be going in for a c/s as-well.
Phil & i have decided we will stop at 3, which makes me happy because he said he didn't want anymore after Kodi. There have been be days were Maddi is doing my head so badly that i'm adamant there will be no more kids lol
-
Hey all! Just popping in while I have the chance!
DH is back at work today, so it's my first day on my own :o. Luckily it has gone pretty smoothly so far, I'm just making the most of each of Alana's nap times. Lunch was made at 10am LOL! It takes so much longer to do a simple task like hang washing out or making the beds, but I'm sure it will get easier with time. I can't believe my little girl is 2 weeks old today, time has gone so fast! It's scary to think how fast she'll grow up. She is doing really well still, she gets weighed on Thursday so it will be interesting to see if she's put on much weight. Oh, and she is sleeping in her cot at night now, woohoo! Although I put her in bed with us at 4:30am this morning when she wouldn't settle because I was too tired to try and settle her any other way LOL!
Amelia - Wow at those statistics! I would definitely be opting for the C/S too. Make sure you let us know the C/S date, I can't believe your bub is nearly here!
Mo - Poor Maddi, she has had such a rough time of things. Yay at Phil wanting number 3!
Julia - How are you and the gorgeous Max going?
Tiff - How are you feeling preggie lady?
And you too Kellie! How are the preggie hormones treating you?
Amber - Where are you?! How did you go with the nappy hunt?
Hi to everyone else!
-
Only taken a month but have finally updated the ticker with the photo of my beautiful girl. Going to try to update FB too.
Trish - its my first day at home on my own too. Finally managed to get Immi to have a long nap this afternoon. Mornings here are just a constant feeding session as is late afternoon. I've taken your example and chopped up the veggies for dinner and made a fruit salad for dessert.
Mo - poor Maddi. Hopefully the ABs will clear the infection. Do they have any idea where it is? I have caught myself thinking what if we have a third?!?!?! Going to have to slap myself out of that thought.
Amelia - four kids! Sounds like an idea to have a bit of a gap between them.
AFU - Immi was weighed on Friday and she put on another 250gr. So now she is just over 4kg. She is at the 50th percentile so just where she should be. Still struggling with BF.
L has been throwing some major wobblies. Feel bad because I'm not spending much time with him at the moment. This morning I was feeding Immi and he came in with a book that he wanted me to read to him. DH was trying to get him to daycare as well. Anyway have promised him 2 books tonight. DH has been doing most of the care for L. They have been going for walks around the block, going to the park etc. Know its only a short time that Immi will demand my constant attention, but I miss my little boy.
Anyway, clothes to be hung on the line.....
-
Saffi what kinda issues are you having with b/fing?
Those 1st few months are hard, it does get easier & Immi is just beautiful :)
No idea on M's infection, which is a little upsetting. I'm sure this lot will be her last lot.
Trish glad your first day alone is going well, I can't believe K is almost 6 months.
Time really does go too quickly when you have kids.
-
HI Girls, sorry I have been awol. Busy here. Had Bruno's 30th on the weekend and run myself ragged. Had Mia sick Friday, vomiting just before we were due to leave for Bruno's sky dive which ended up being cancelled due to the wind anyway! Then Tay come down sick Saturday, party was Saturday night and Sunday we all felt like C ... RAP. Off to the doctor's for our family visit and it turns out Tay has an ear infection, I have a sinus and ear infection and Bruno and Mia had viral infections. Last night Mia's temp went to 39 so back to the dr's today and she has developed a throat infection. Argh! SO the only one not on anti's is Bruno, but he is crook as well. Anyway just a quickie and hi to everyone. Mo I hope that Maddie has improved, will be back for personals later xx
-
Evening ladies,
Mo - I hope Maddi is all better now! What a pain you can't work out whats going on with her! Poor little miss, she's been hit so hard this winter
ACJ - Oooo it must be so exciting knowing you only have weeks to go! Getting that c/s date will make it all so real for you! :)
Trish - You are one organised lady, lunch ready by 10am?!!! You've done well. I hope the rest of your day was as good as your moring! I am feeling great thanks. Haven't been sick at all, just not feeling great, but I am convinced I wont throw up this time... Maybe this means its a blue package?! ;)
Saffi - It is always hard for the first few weeks with the first child getting use to having a sibling, but I'm sure he'll get use to having her around really soon. I bet he loves having you read to him tonight!
MiniMax - I agree, Mother's Day is where it's at!!! too much work envolved in Father's Day, cooking the breakfast, changing all the nappies during the day, etc etc! Ahhhh too much!
Kazaraz - My goodness you have all had your fair share of infections lately too!!! I hope you're all doing a lot better today. Shame about DH's sky dive, I have dived twice and it is amazing. I wanted to dive tandem once a year in a different spot each time, but DH didn't like me doing it and refused to allow our money spent on something that might just kill me!!! Driving the car is much more likely to kill me, but it was kinda sweet in a male kid of way!!! Now I've got Tiera (and I preg) I really don't have much of a desire to do it anyways so it all worked out in the end.
Nothing to report here. Tiera had swimming this morning and played up the entire time! We were in the big pool and I just don't think she liked not being able to touch the bottom at all.
Take care all
-
Being slack will come back later and reply! xxxx Sorry :)
-
Hi everyone
Amelia Nah it wasn't fathers day here, I had just missed their one...so I stuck to the Aussie one! Max & I cooked eggs for breakfast and had a fabbo day. I made a card from Max for DH and found the best poem to go in it. Every time I read it it brought tears to my eyes so I knew it was the right one to use! Bet you'll be glad once you get that c/s date! I'd be having a c/s too with those stats! GOOD luck...it's not long now.
Mo I'm sure if you stay positive things will get better, have they constantly put maddi on the same AB's or have they changed them? Maybe she's so used to them now they don't work? I really hope things get better soon. Oh...and I've seen your pics on FB of Kodi...She is soooo gorgeous! Told you I'd put my house on it that her eyes would stay blue!!! :)
Trish You are amazing...need I say more! Glad to hear your first day home with 3 worked out well...I can't believe Alana is 2 weeks old already...I wish the TWW would go as fast!!! :)
Saffi That is a very cute pic of Immi...I'll have to stalk your FB page to see if you updated it! I guess the mother guilt of not being able to pay as much attention to #1 is a universal thing! I'm sure once things settle down a bit it will all work out perfectly well. What's up with the BFing?
Kaz You've been copping it a bit with the illnesses too...must be something going on in Melbourne! I hope everyone gets better soon.....oh and as far as your FB question goes and getting medicine into a kid...that's a good question! Max used to drink it like it was going out of fashion but now he doesn't want a bar of it and it ends up dribbling down his tops!
Pish So glad you haven't been sick....and you never know...maybe it is a blue package :) Only time will tell! You going to find out or wait for a surprise? I couldn't wait...I'm a planner! I don't blame your DH for not wanting you to skydive!!! Yes I could imagine it would be wicked fun, but I don't know how people can do it! It scares the carp out of me!
Amber You slacker! Not long now till #2 makes his/her presence felt! How exciting for you....I'm hanging out to see your BA!
AFM - Everything is going well in Singa's at the moment. I had a bit of a downer the other weekend but had a talk to DH and all is fine now....hormones I tell ya! DH has gone away for 1.5 weeks but on the upside my Mum arrives next Monday. It was our 2nd Wedding anniversary today and DH bought me Wii fit so I'm trying to be good and work on it when Max is asleep. He sleeps so well now....2 hours in his bed during the day and ALLLLL night. He even goes to sleep on his own now without me having to lie on his bed till he falls asleep! Best thing ever! Thought I'd be doing that till he was 6 or something! We've been having loads of fun lately too...he is always laughing (and cackling) and talking a lot more. He is an absolute JOY at the moment and wouldn't want to change a thing. Still on the TTC train, but hoping that my anniversary weekend has done the trick! We got to go out for the first time together the other night without Max which was excellent! A friend we've met here took Max off....he cried when he realised that DH and I weren't coming with him, but once he was eating sausages and chips he soon forgot about us. He came home, had a shower and went to bed after a couple of stories which I was completely chuffed about. It was the first time EVER that he's been left with someone other than familiy, and the first time I've been apart from him since JUNE! So exciting!
Well I think I've said enough for one day!
Hi to everyone else...Kellie, Nic, Kate....and anyone else I've missed (sorry!)
-
Yeah that is why I am going with the c/s!! Kinda threw me off guard when they were telling me the stats and then when all the other opinions agreed with the first one made me kinda nervous about it. Dont know why tho!! Lol. Got the hire capsule installed this morning and its was weird looking in the little kiddies mirror back at Rhys and seeing the capsule next to him. Lol.
-
Morning girls, we are all on the mend here, but have decided to keep the girls home from playgroup today, just to get over these dreaded lurgies we have. I have found a solution that is working for us with the anitbiotics, mixing it with OJ seems to be working so that is great!
Amelia - Good luck with your c/s date and I hope everything goes well for you.
Julia - I know all about hormones, finally I seem to have settled down in department. I was a wreck a few weeks backs, crying all the time and things got to me really badly. Never been like this with the girls, so who knows what is going on there. Also well done on Max sleeping so well, what are your secrets? We have the girls in bed with us every night and its draining me!
Pish - You are a braver woman than me to try sky diving, it is something that I have said never never, but when we were out there I can see the attraction. You kinda get pumped up just being around the guys. Might have helped that they were all pretty cute as well!
Trish - You sound like you have things under control, definately be picking your brain when my No 3 arrives. I am hoping I have a good baby. Mia starts kindy at the time the baby is due, so that will make life easier and harder, as I will have to run her to and from kindy! Bruno will hopefully be home with us for a couple of weeks before I am all alone!
:hello: to everyone else!
I have so much washing to do. We had the party here Saturday night and somehow my washing machine door got broken off. So annoying. We went to buy one yesterday but were lucky that my DH's dad said that they had a spare (and brand new MIELE) that we could have! So lucky.
Not much news other than that, still not feeling a lot of movements with this baby. It is doing my head in, only because it is so active when we have seen it on the screen and I was feeling Tay at 14 weeks really early. But then I didn't feel anything with Mia until after 19 weeks, so the next couple of weeks hopefully things will change!
Chat later girls and have a great day xx
-
hi everyone
sorry I've been so slack at posting, been feeling so crappy and so tired!
Mo - hope Maddi is feeling better
Amelia - good luck today, hope you get your date! I'd def be having a c-sec with those risks too!
Trish - glad to hear Alana is sleeping in her cot now, she is just adorable!
Saffi - saw the pics of Im on FB too, she is adorable too!
Kaz - hope everyone is feeling better in your household! I cant believe your nearly half way! maybe this bub is sitting in a different spot and thats why your not feeling as much? is it if your placenta is at the front you dont feel as much movement?
Julia - glad to hear Max was fine while you and your DH had a night out. You must be so excited about seeing your mum soon! I loved my wii fit too, until the ratbags broke into our house and stole it!!
AFU - Tahlia has been sick with a virus, she got sent home from daycare on Tuesday cause she woke up from her nap with a rash all over her body. It seems pretty much gone today though. Hopefully she is better for child care tomorrow cause its crazy hair day and she is perfect example of crazy hair!
I've been feeling very average, I dont remember ever feeling like this with Tahlia, maybe this one is a blue bundle!
Hi to everyone else!
-
well this baby has been give an eviction date of the 30th of this month!! 20 days to go.
I can't sleep at all at the moment, got massive legs cramps!!
-
Well Maddi is finally over her infection. Feels so good not having to stress over M being sick anymore.
We sent out Maddi's invites & surprise surprise hardly anyone is turning up.(10 people are coming)
Apparently sitting at home watching a stupid football game is more important. I said we would have the footy game on here but no sitting at home is much more fun.
I'm so angry it's not funny!
Amelia how exciting, i bet you can't wait to meet your little bundle.
Are you going to txt someone in our group when you have had your little bundle?
-
Kellie - bugger to hear you are not feeling well, amazing how different you can feel from one baby to the next!
Amelia - woohoo on having your date! Not long to go now, I hope that your leg cramps get better x
Mo - So glad Maddi is over her infection. Bugger about people and her party, people are obsessed with the footy hey!
:hello: to everyone else. Just a short post today, as Tay has just got up and no one has had their breakky yet. We are well on the road to recovery here ... yay! Chat soon xx
-
Mo That is such bad form. Footy is tapable, and watchable elsewhere.....it's hardly going to be something that needs remembering from one year to the next...but Maddi's birthday is. Such a disappointment....I can sympathise. Hopefully the people who should be making the effort are, and those others you can brush off for a while.
Amelia Yay on an eviction date! Worst thing is that it will probably go megga slow now. Oh well, more time to enjoy Rhys on his own. Oh....and did one of your friends slip up on FB the other day?????????
AFM - DH is away till Monday night, so he's coming home early...YAY...Mum also arrives on Monday morning...so excited. I think my Mum & Sis had to get my mum's greyhound PTS today....so sad. I was blubbering most of the evening. Mum rescued her after she was a racing greyhound, so she would have never of lived to 10 if it weren't for my Mum. She was a very special pooch.
Well....I'm off to the beach today....first time! Lets see how that is! Take care everyone xoxo
-
Julia - My SIL is certain that it is a boy and calls my tummy Harrison cause that is the name we have picked for a boy!! So she keeps saying that.....that is probably what you saw.
-
-
Yeah she has been part of the family since I was 4 and yet my brother and her are still not married!! Only got engaged 2 years ago. Lol. But she knows me real real real well and she thinks it is a boy cause if it was a girl I would have blurted it out by now but my mum is very impressed with me....she knows what it is!! If you knew me in person and were close to me....I am good at keeping other peoples secrets but not my own!! Lol.
-
Hi everyone
Popping in now that the kids are asleep. Been lurking but never seem to have a hand free to actually type a reply.
Amelia - eviction date LOL. Not long to go. Looking forward to finding out if it will be a Harrison or a Hannah!
Julia - Yay for your mum visiting. Then it won't be long and you'll be back home for a visit. I bet you are looking forward to seeing Charlie.
Mo - thats terrible that everyone is putting football above a child's party. I guess its too late to change the date - not that you should! Great that M is finally better. Lets hope she stays that way for a little while.
Kellie - we think she is adorable too. Her eyes are definitely going to be brown. L has blue eyes like his dad so she is taking after me. Not good that you are feeling sick, but it comes with being pg:rolleyes:
Kaz - good to hear that you're all getting better too.
Nothing happening here. Yesterday was the first day that I was home alone with both kids. Wasn't too good. Neither kid had an afternoon nap and so I didn't have one either. We were all cranky so in the end I put L in front of the TV to watch Elmo while I fed Immi. Today was much better but that was because L was at daycare LOL.
-
hi everyone
just popping in to say hello, so Hi!
Hope everyone is well, I've still been feeling blah and tired, so havent been in here much
Hi to everyone!
-
Is anyone else toddlers cutting their second back molars? From what I can see L is cutting one at the moment. He was up several times overnight so I think he's a bit upset/in pain by it. I was up anyway feeding Immi but I made DH go to him (he he he).
-
Saffi - we've been cutting them too the last few weeks, had one or two wake ups last week (or the week before??) but nothing since. Same deal in our house, if L wakes at night now, DH gets up to him...hardly ever happens so I figure it's only fair right?!
Got up this morning to find the boy in his cot with vomit everywhere, I nearly died. We didn't even hear him and had no inkling he was feeling unwell so I killed myself with mummy guilt all day about my poor little boy getting sick and his mummy not being there :( One more vomit and a bit of a temp today but seems better tonight.
Hello to everyone else!! Another one here reading but not getting much time to post. Things going well here, DS2 has settled own again after being unwell etc and is sleeping, settling and generally doing well. We have u/sounds on Weds for a clicky hip and a huge head (anyone remember that saga with L?? Here we go again ) so hoping no more issews stem from those.
-
CARP night here. L was so distressed and in pain with teething we were up to him 4 times (once DH and me three times). Then I was up twice with Immi and then up for the day with L at 6am! So not much sleep here. Hopefully Immi will be good and let me have a sleep today. L's gone to daycare.
Willow - poor L! He musn't have been that upset by it if he didn't wake you. Still not nice for either of you to wake up to. Hope Dean's tests go well.
-
Rhys is cutting his molars too....he has had a temp of 38.5ish for the past couple of days and off his food with runny poos!! Has woken up the past 2 nights about 2-3am, just give him some panadol and a little bottle cause I hate giving him panadol on a empty stomach and he is all good and then sleeps in till 8am so he is being nice to me and giving me a sleep in!! Lol. Glad he is going through it now and not when bubba h arrives.!!
-
Willow poor L & poor you. I agree with Saffi he must not of been to upset by it.
Hope all goes well with D & i do remember that saga with L.
Saffi M is cutting her molars as well, up at 2-4am everyday.
Kellie not too much longer till your out of the 1st tri, hope you start felling less blah soon.
AFU
We spent all day Sunday fixing up Maddi's room, we moved the cot out & made it into a big girl room. We also gave her, her dora bed set early so she could with Dora every night lol
So far it's going well, it will be nice once she starts sleeping through again tho.
Off to get M's 2yr old & K's 6 month check-up today.
Hope everyone is well.
-
Hi girls, it sounds like a lot of you are getting less sleep at the moment due to molars, not good! I am pretty sure Tay has cut hers. I had a look about a month ago and she has all of her teeth. Well the same amount as Mia, so I guess that is right. Which is good for me, cause that means no more teething .. until the next one anyway!
We have moved Tay in with Mia again to trial her in a big girls bed. It was at the stage that every night Tay was in bed with us, so something had to give. The first night she was great and slept through. Last night she wandered into our room at about 3, to join Mia who was already there. We really need to do some tough love with the girls and get them out of our bed! I am over having a stiff neck from having to sleep in awkward positions because the kids take over our bed.
Other than that not much going on. I am feeling crap today. Still have an ear infection as the antibiotics have done nothing. Had playgroup this morning which was great, but then come home and my great kids allowed me to have a nice nap with them this afternoon. Yay.
Anyway I hope that the teething improves. Chat later xx
-
The girls check-up went well Maddi is 87cm tall & weighs 12.8kg & Kodi is 65cms & weighs 6.7kg.
Both girls are doing really well :)
Kaz hope your feeling better soon.
I can't believe my big baby will be 2 next week! Time goes so fast when you have kids.
-
Hi all! Thought I'd quickly pop in while mum has taken the boys to the shops and Alana is sleeping. I've missed chatting with you all!
We are going great, Alana is sleeping well overnight (last night she went 6 hours between feeds :confetti:), some day sleeps are a battle though, but I guess you can't have it all LOL! She's starting to smile and making cute chatty sounds which are just adorable :D.
K is doing a great job being a big brother, he is very gentle with Alana and constantly strokes her and says "Hello" in his cute little voice. He calls her "Lana" and when she's napping he asks "Where's bubby?". Joel is absolutely besotted with her too.
I'm going well, I've been back in my pre-pregnancy clothes for a couple of weeks which is so great! It took me ages to fit back into them after having the boys. This time the weight fell of straight away. Life has been soooo busy with a newborn and two others to care for. I have to fit in Joel's kinder drop-offs and pick ups around feeds, cleaning, cooking, etc. so there isn't much time left to come here and chat! I always log on when I'm feeding Alana though so I'm still around, just not able to post that much.
Mo - The girls are going great, well done to you Mummy!
Kaz - You poor thing , I hope you are feeling better soon. I saw on your FB status that the girls slept in their own beds all night last night - WOOHOOO!!! That's awesome, I hope you had a good sleep!
Amelia - Not long until you meet your bub!!! I'm so excited to find out if bub is a he or a she!!
Saffi - Poor L with those teeth coming through, and poor you . I hope his sleep has improved since your last post.
Willow - How'd you go with the u/s yesterday? I do remember the saga last time and L was fine, I'm sure D is too :). How's L now? I hope he didn't get sick again.
Kellie - I remember that "blah" feeling so well . It will be over soon, I promise!
Julia - How are you going lovely lady? How's the gorgeous Max? I hope you are enjoying your visit from your mum. I just noticed your ticker, have you tested???
Tiff - Hopefully no M/S equals a blue bundle for you! Are you going to find out at 20 weeks?
Amber - How are you guys going? You've been a bit quiet in here!
A big Hi to anyone I've missed :hello:. I hope everyone is going well and I'm thinking of you all .
-
Just popping in quickly, we've all had gastro but on the mend now. L got it first, then DD, then me. I've copped it the worst, the kids only had it for 12-24 hours, this is day 2 for me :( Hoping DH and DS2 manage to avoid it. Has been soooooo hard the last few days being so sick and not being able to look after the kids, especially D.
DH had to take the day off yesterday to take D for his u/sounds - good news, everything looks fine with both his head and hip but we'll wait and see what the paed says next week.
Trish - things are crazy here too. Great o'night sleeps at your place! Is she in your room or in her own room? DS2 often does 4.5-5, hoping he keeps it up. Day sleeps are hit and miss here too, some great, some shockers. Find it really hard to stretch him longer than 2-2.5 hours between feeds in the morning and afternoon (which I know is pretty normal at his age), so those sleeps are only about 1.5 hours. I always try to resettle him but it often doesn't work. Not going to stress until about the 12 week mark and then really work on getting a routine happening. He has settled right down again which I'm so relieved about, that week and a bit after he got home from hossy was sooo hard.
-
sorry am being really slack and not posting :( just so ahrd to keep up and rememebr all the things I want to say!
All is good here! Am on the countdown and Myles will 2 so soon! Its so excitng yet so scary!
Saw Terri and her beautiful kids the other day they are perfect!
anwyway will try to be a better friend lol! Mwah to you all xxxxxx
-
Willow - You poor things . Why is it us mums always cop it worse than anyone else? Alana is in her own room, but sometimes ends up in our bed (this morning she came in at 5:30am) if I'm trying to stretch her until our 7am wake up time! Not sure if that's such a good thing long term, but I need my sleep!! She doesn't always do 6 hours, but I usually get at least a 5 hour stint out of her. I started doing a 9:30pm dream feed for two nights in a row, but she stopped sleeping for as long (I have NO idea why) so I cut it out again and just let her wake up when she's ready.
Amber - How exciting that Myles is nearly 2!!! I can't believe how fast time flies :D
-
Trish - was contemplating a dream feed too actually but had no success with DD or DS1 so probably won't bother...maybe when he's a bit older.
-
OK people...check it out!!!! :)
-
:happyforyou: WOOHOO!!!! :happyforyou:
