Hi all! Man it's hot!! Luckily it doesn't look like it will reach the forecast 40 degrees today. Come on cool change, we need you!!
All is going well with us. DH took K to the physio today to get his legs checked. They are still quite bowed, we were told they should straighten by the age of two, but only his left leg has slightly straightened. I started a thread asking if anyone knows about bow legs, but it looks like they don't LOL! We are getting a referal to see an orthopedic surgeon at the Children's, hopefully he won't need anything drastic done.
Poor K got stung by a bee yesterday :(. Luckily he got over it pretty quickly, but it was so awful.
Saffi - I hope you post the photos on FB when you get them back! It's so cute when they start conversing with you isn't it? They say the cutest things :)
Kaz - Thinking of you in this heat!! Not long to go now, I'm so excited for you and can't wait to hear the good news (and the name!)!
Amber - How are you and your cute boys going?
Mo - Poor Maddi has had such a bad run of luck with infections :(. I hope she has a nice clear run of health from now on! I can't believe it's nearly K's 1st birthday :o
Kellie - I hope you're coping in this awful heat!
Julia - Have you had your scan yet? I'm dying to hear about it!!
Hi to everyone else :hello:, hope you all have a great day :D
-
:hello: lovely ladies!!!
I am so sorry it has been sooooooooo long since I was in here last but dear oh dear it has been busy here! I have found myself working a lot more than we all expected I'd need to, but thats ok, it make the time go faster.
Trish - Poor K getting stung by that nasty bee, I've never been stung by a bee so I don't know what it feels like but it sounds horrible and I think I'd cry if T got stung. I wish you all the best with your app with the O Surgeon. Does it take a long time to get into places like that down there? Hopefully they don't have to do anything too invasive to fix the prob.
To all of you sweltering through these hot hot days I really do feel for each and everyone of you especially those of you UTD, its not nice! I worked on Saturday (which was extremely hot up here) stripping and making beds, cleaning cabins and it was horrible! Thankfully we have a little cafe at the park during the peak time so I got a slurpee the moment I was done! It is not cool only having about 10 people to clean over 40 cabins in one morning!!!!
I hope you and your little people are all happy and well and enjoying all the summer festivities.

hi all.....sorry for being mia but i here now. just quickly tho......
trish - my nephew has a bowed leg, he is 3 next month. he has to wear a brace to bed on his foot/leg and also special soles in his shoes. his leg was 30 degrees out at 18 months old and his check up just before xmas he was only 10 degrees out of being perfectly straight. so no surgery or anyhing for him, just a long process thats all.
julia - yay for a girl!!
cant remember who suggested the name hunter for someone but that is my other nephews name....we call him hunter thr grunter cause he was snoring just after birth.

:hello: girls, hope you are all well. It has been really quiet in here! I just have an update in regards to when Baby V will arrive ... frustrating ...
So I have had a few issues with the hospital that I am meant to be giving birth at. I was scheduled for my c section on the 8th of Feb, then they brought me forward to to the 1st because of my pain with my pelvic instability. That was all good. Then I get a phone call a week or so ago to move my date again, scheduling issues at the hospital and this made it better for them! So they moved me to the 28th of Jan, even better. Then yesterday I get a phone call telling me the list has now been cancelled on the 28th and they are moving me to the 3rd of Feb. I cracked it and said no way, we have people coming from interstate, my husband and MIL have already changed their holidays twice ... you can't keep changing it. I also said isn't the 3rd list full (as I had tried to deliver that day) and she is like yes you will be an emergency! I said put me back to the 1st then, when I was originally put in and she said that list if full and I would be an emergency. So I said to her what if I stay on the 28th, she said you would be an emergency! I am like, so why bother changing me, every date you are giving me I am an emergency anyway? So that means I have to go to the hospital at 6am and if they have not had time to do my c section before 8pm that night the baby won't be born until 'most likely' the following day! I am really unhappy. I rang the doctor back later in the day as I was really stressed out about it and explained my situation to her rationally, apologised for being short with her and she said that is ok, we are just trying to do what is right for everyone and you sound like you really want that date. I was like its not a matter of that, but more that you guys keeps giving me a new date which I might not even be able to have the baby on anyway! So annoying. So I have a new date for now, but that might change. We are keeping it quiet because I don't want to have to tell everyone a new date every time they change it on me. So keep your eyes out, we will post on facebook once bubs is born ... and I will let Kellie know she she can do my announcement on here as well.
It all feels a bit too hard at the moment. Maybe Baby V will make a move to come into the world by himself ... you never know!
-
hi ladies,
Kaz - What a stuff about! I too would have got a bit cranky. Hopefully they don't change you about again. I'll be keeping an eye out towards the end of the month for your birth announcment!
:hello: everyone hope all is well.
-
Kaz that is total rubbish!
They've put you as an 'emergency' because of your pain....so surely the EARLIER the better (as long as bubs is cooked :))! Why not change and faff around with the elective c-sections that have no issues along side them.....pffttttt!
Hope it all works out OK
HI everyone else! Hope you are all well....just a quick update....
Had my scan the other day and all went really well. Definitely cooking a pink one and everything is growing nicely. My placenta is low and JUSt clear of the cervix...phew! Happily plodding along getting bigger!
Singa's is going well now, not feeling as blergh about it. I still miss Charlie too much though! I'm going home in a week for a friends wedding...and will be there for a week so catching up with the MG girls and as many friends as I can. Then I'm back there in March and then April! Time is flying! I'll have a baby in a minute I bet!
Trish How did K go at the physio? I checked out your FB pics too....your family is so gorgeous!
Amelia How you going with Rhys now and keeping Harri up?
Pish I can't believe how far your ticker has ticked all of a sudden! Wowzers! :)
Big hugs to everyone xo
-
Hi everyone
Kaz - how frustrating! I hate how you have to get stroppy for something to happen. Look forward to seeing your BA!
Julia - good to know that your little bump is still pink. Have you settled on a name yet?
Hi everyone else
As for us - Lochie is now in his big bed! He slept in it at nap time yesterday and again overnight and is in it now for today's nap. We haven't put a bed rail up yet, but as his bed has a trundle bed we rolled that out in case he fell out, which he did. Didn't seem to worry him tho. He even stayed in his room this morning until 7am when he came into our room. We are so proud and amazed at how easy the transition has been so far.
So now we have to get M's room ready for her. Bought some pink paint to cover the blue feature wall and we'll paint it next weekend. It only taken us 6 months to get her room organised!

hey girls, its been quiet. just a quick one to say hi and hope you are all traveling well. i just had a bath as a bit uncomfy tonight. went out for a pre-baby dinner and ending up with a really intense back pain. followed by shooting pains in my belly, the baby moving around like crazy, a foot poking out my right side, pains in my vag (sorry tmi) and a very slight siting of blood when i went to the loo earlier. so i am not sure if this is a sign my body is doing something or what is going on? we decided to wait the night out, try and get some sleep and see what the morning bring. back ache has eased off and no more blood, so maybe it is ok and just one of those things!
other than that not much happening. determined to get some sleep though, so going ot mosey along. i have mia in bed with me, she has been really clingy with me for some reason. maybe she has an inkling something is happening? but it is very unlike her to want to be with me and get so upset when she can't like she has been since this afternoon.
chat later girls x
-
ooohhh Kaz, maybe something is happening!
Trish, Mo, Kaz (anyone else?) - are you planning on going to the Melbourne meetup on Saturday?
-
Kellie i'm not sure, at this it's more of a no but that may change.
Kaz hope you got a good nights sleep or at least some rest.
We caught up with Ange the other day & Lu is so beautiful. M & L had the best time playing together.
Little Sassi is too cute, I got heaps of cuddles from her & she is such a happy baby always smiling and laughing. K & S ate about half a kilo of sand between them lol
Other than that everything else is the same.
Hope everyone is well :)
-
Still here girls, everything has settled this morning so not sure what that was about. Definately getting washing up to date today and my bag packed. It is all I could think about last night. Just in case!
Kellie - I am not going, for obvious reasons but mainly because we have Hi-5 Saturday morning!
Mo - Glad to see you post, been worried bout you as we haven't heard much from you lately!
:hello: to everyone else. Hope you are all keeping well.
-
Hi all! Been lurking, but barely have hands free time! I usually read BB while I'm BF'ing Alana so I can't reply, so frustrating at times LOL!
Kaz - You poor thing, you have not had an easy pregnancy . I hope things settle down and you can relax a bit before your little man arrives.
Mo - Been thinking of you lately, will have to PM you soon. Ange's girls are just so gorgeous aren't they?!
Kellie - I'd love to go on Saturday, but DH has to help his family move furniture. I won't be able to manage all three kids on my own.
Saffi - Yay for sleeping in a big bed! I found Joel transitioned really easily too. K is still in a cot atm. We are looking at getting bunk beds for the boys so I think we'll wait until then.
Julia - I'm glad your scan went well! Have you picked a name yet?
Amelia - Thanks for sharing about your nephews bow legs :). K's right leg is about 20 degrees out, it will be interesting to see what the hospital do.
Tiff - You sound like you are working WAY too hard for a pregnant chick!
AFU - We're going well. Alana is sleeping heaps better at night now, last night she went all night without a feed - woohoo! K is going good. His latest phrases are "You scared me!" and "Help me Mum!" when he gets stuck or wants help - so cute! Joel had a sleep over at my Mum's last night and had a great time. It's so nice that he's an age that he can do those things happily. It also gives him a break from his annoying little brother . He starts school in just over a week - eek! I have to put labels on all his clothes and school gear. Just gotta find the time and motivation.
I have been shopping the last two days at Myer (different locations) during their stocktake sale. They have 30% off already reduced prices on kids clothing so I've been stocking up for next summer for Joel and Alana. Poor K doesn't get a look in because he gets Joel's hand me downs LOL!
Anyway, better get back to it. Hope you are all well!
-
Sorry I am being so slack :(
I cant belive how big our kids are getting! Myles is a chatterbox now which is really cute and Flynn is ajust a crusiey little dude!
I will keep up form now on! :grouphug: xx
-
Hey girls, thought I would pop in and say hi. I feel like I have been neglecting you guys as the only time I get on is to post and whinge to my baby baking group ! I am up and about and its almost 5am. Having an uncomfortable night, with more niggley pains. My body is doing some weird things of late, but on the good side we are definately not far away from D Day now!
Amber - I know what you mean about the kids growing. Tay doesn't seem like a baby to me anymore. She is stringing full on sentences together (always been a bit behind in the talking department) and some of the things she comes out with blows me away. Just looking at your pic of your boys, not that I have met your DH, but your Flynn is a dead ringer for him isn't he?!
Trish - Sounds like things are going well with Alana, is the sleeping through still continuing? I was just reading about your big boy starting school, isn't it a big step? Mia is starting kindy and I am finding that a hard enough transition. Cannot imagine that this time in a year, we will be sending her off to school also. Hope your shopping trips have been successful, places like Myer and Target have some great sales on clothes at this time of the year. Definately the time to shop up!
Mo & Kellie - Did you guys go to the meet today?
Saffi - Hope Lochie's sleeping through the nights has continued for you! How great when that starts. Tay still comes into our room most nights, but tonight the table has turned and Mia is in bed with us. That is very rare that that happens!
Julia - How you feeling? Thanks for the 'being on my side' post before. It feels nice to know that my frustrations are not all just in my head. Who knows what that hospital thinks, I definately would not go back there again. I am just crossing my fingers that my stay in there is ok.
:hello: to everyone else. How are you all travelling? It is has been quiet in here the past few days! Better get going and go back to bed and try to get some more sleep. I find I sleep easier in the day when everyone else is up. Not sure what that is about?
K x

kaz - how long now???? Hopefully you can get a nap in today. Its not much fun being up so early and then having to be active all day looking after the munchkins.
L is going so well in his big boy bed. We took the cot out of his room on Monday and he hasn't asked for it or anything. We haven't put a gate up across his door to keep him in and a few times he has come out - including 6am yesterday morning! Today we were up before him.
Painting M's room today. I got some pink sheets at the Target sale and am now looking for a nice quilt set or something to make it more girlie.
Nothing much else happening here. Have a good day everyone.
-
Hopefully my boy will be here before the end of the week Saffi ... Kellie is doing my BA, so keep your eyes open !
-
Kaz - Wow, not long to go now! Your prg has flown for me - probably not for you though! LOL. Can't wait to read your BA.
Saffi - Glad to hear L has transitioned to his big bed so well. No WAY am I even thinking of moving L any time soon. His cot converts to a toddler bed though so at best, we'll take the cot sides down. I think he's going to be one of these kids that has to be put back to bed 1,000 times but he may surprise us when the time comes.
AFU, we are doing OK. I'm feeling a bit stuck in ground hog day the last week or so. DD starts school on the 1st and I'm looking forward to settling in to our new routine. Hoping she settles in OK. She was great at preschool but 5 days a week is a different kettle of fish.
D has been a bit horrid the last few days. His night sleep is awful. We are having issues with him rolling onto his tummy in his sleep and waking himself up. Driving me NUTS. Last night was a little better but can't wait till he is out of this phase. I also *think* I can see another tooth coming on the bottom. Other than that, he's great.
L is doing well although having a rough patch with his day sleeps - one day he'll sleep for 2-3 hours, the next he'll just play in his cot. Not stressing about it (although it's annoying) he did this once before and it passed after a few weeks so figure he'll do the same this time. With DD at school now, I'll hopefully be able to have a nana nap when the boys sleep some days!
Best be off. Sorry for being so slack, but I just don't often have time to post.

Hi All,
Ive been a slako once again!
Kaz- gosh i would be annoyed getting stuff around so much, but hey your lil bub may just decide to want to arrive on a different date to all of those scheduled ones and trick everyone! what about a little aust day bub hehe!!
OMG Tyron is defintaley going into terrible 2 stage....he is just getting so naughty......he has been pulling Nixon's hair and biting him.... (actually he is prob just getting pay back for all the times Nix has done it to him in the past)
but he has been messing up and wrecking a few things which i was super annoyed about... he has learnt the words "go away" which im not very impressed with!!
he is such a funny character but gosh this is the age to pushthe boundaries thats for sure!
he started day care 1 day a week 2 wks ago and loves it! no doubt he will pick up afew things from older kids there.
im in a bit of no mans land at the moment... i am looking for a PT job just something close and 2-3 days a week, still want to do tupperware but just need to know how much i earn each week.
but then i am sad because i really think i would love to do a bachelor of Midwifery but its a 3yr FT course which if i did that as well as worked PT the kids would practically be in FT care......i just wishi knew what i wanted to do when i left school and could have already be qualified...
i would have to sit a test to even see if i would get into anything, ive missed the boat for this year...i dunno im in 2 minds... i dont want to always regret not doing something i feel i woould like and be good at but its a cost/time/length difficulty atm. That and plus i still want to have another bub, maybe try at the end of the year....
has anyone else gone on to study something later, after kids??
