Hi everyone!
Sorry I've been a bit quiet in here, things have been a bit hectic! Poor K has had a badly ulcerated mouth since last Thursday (the Dr said it's cold sores inside his mouth) and he has been in so much pain :(. He has been really unwell with a high temp so he appears to be fighting an infection. He hasn't been able to eat much because everything hurts his mouth and he can only drink semi-comfortably from a straw, his sippy cups hurt his mouth too much. He was showing improvement late yesterday so hopefully they are healing up. He is still asleep atm, he was awake for a while overnight so he is making up for it, I wish I could LOL!
We had the boy's party on Saturday and they had a great time, even though poor K couldn't eat anything! We had to go to another party that evening so we were all pretty tired yesterday. DH was out all day yesterday playing soccer at the corporate games so I had a very sick and upset K, plus Joel and Alana all to myself. DH is leaving for Japan this afternoon until Saturday so I'm really hoping K is better today!
Sorry for the long "me" post
Mo - Poor Kodi, there is so much sickness going around atm. How are you feeling since your infusion?
Julia - I'm glad you're starting to feel a bit better, I hate that first tri! I didn't have m/s when pg with Alana, I was more bloated with her than with the boys, maybe you're having a girl!
Celtic - How are things going with you? When are you next tests/scans?
Kaz - How are you all feeling? Hopefully the cough is on it's way out. I can't believe it can last 4-6 weeks :o. It's definitely hard to shake.
Well, I'd better run. K is still asleep and Alana is having a nap so I should make the most of some hands-free time!
-
Trish - Poor K! That's an awful thing to have. Does this mean he will always have cold sores now? Can your Mum come and stay with you to help out this week?
Mo - so we have got L a trike and a Thomas the Tank railway set for Xmas. Haven't even thought what we are getting Immi. We have so many toys as is evidenced by the state of our deck and loungeroom I really don't want to get anymore toys for either of them.
Anyway Immi is crying out for a feed so gotta go. BBL

Kodi has a throat infection & is now on AB's. She's not drinking much anymore, so just trying to keep her cool.
Trish i hope K starts feeling better soon & you'll do great this week ;)
Saffi i hear ya on the toys, We are getting K a Vtech 1st walker for Christmas. I figure she'll be at the perfect age for it come Christmas.
-
Hi ladies!!!
Wow it has been a VERY long time since I was here last!
Saffi - I can't believe you baby girl is already 3 month old!!! She is gorgeous!!
Mo - Oh dear your poor baby girls have not been very well this year. I hope little Kodi is feeling better really soon. I hope 2010 is nicer to you all in the illness area (can you believe we ae almost in 2010!!!)
Trish - I hope K is feeling better really soon. That sounds horrible for him! Great thing he enjoyed is party though, illness and all. I hope you have a good week while DH is in Japan.... Lucky him, I think I would have been asking to join him!!! :)
Well Tiera also had her party on Saturday and had a great time. She got so many lovely gifts, she is a very lucky little girl. We were meant to go to another party the next morning, but T has an aweful cough and it was raining out so didn't think it a good idea to take her out in it, especially because it was in the peoples back yard, although covered in, it still would have been quite cool. The Dr this morning put her on Ventolin which is my worst nightmare as I am asthmatic and never wanted this for my children. The Dr say that she's not yet calling it Asthma and we will just wait and see how she responds to it all, so we are going back on Friday for a check up.
As for me, I am still quite sick and still tired, hoping that all soon dies down... I'm 15 weeks on Wed, so surely wont stay around much longer!!!
Anyways ladies, thats us!!
Take care all and I'll be sure to check back really soon.

We had a bad afternoon, Mia had a temp of 41. I get a bit freaked when it gets that high. Rang Casey and they put me through to Nurse on Call, never heard of it before. It is a registered nurse service, you go through what is going on and they give advice. Anyway, after explaining she had been sick and was on antibiotics, she recommended I get her into a Dr within 4 hours or if I couldn't to go to emergency. Luckily for me, my new great Dr said we could come straight down. Her ear is really bad again, and her throat is covered in puss pockets. Apparently this explains her temp and the antibiotics not working. So I come away with a new script and a bring her back in 2 days if no improvement. She is heaps better though, after a dose of panadol and nurofen and a tepid bath. So much perkier. So fingers crossed.
As for me, I am getting braxton hicks all the time. They are out of control. If I get stressed or raise my voice they start. So I need to try and remain a big more chilled if that is possible. I have been so hot today, just starting to feel slightly cooler now! Have my gtt test Thursday morning, the 2 hour one. Then Monash Monday, which will hopefully be where I get my delivery date. Then my 4d scan on the 22nd. SO busy busy. My baby is very active and I am buggered. Still have 14 weeks to go, ouch is all I can say!
Pish - Great to see you back. I am glad all is going well and the tiredness improves for you now you are in your second trimester.
Mo - Poor Kodi, poor little bubba being sick. Hopefully the anti's kick in soon and you guys can get back to some kind of normal.
Saffi - I can sympathise with the pressie and toy situation ... we have a room devoted to toys and they still end up all over the house. This christmas we are mainly opting for outside toys from Santa. Cannot wait, as the kids love swings and that is what they are getting. Along with a couple of quads and some smaller stuff. I am sure they will love it!
Trish - So sorry to hear K still is not well. Ouch, how much must that hurt the poor little man. I hope he gets better soon for you. And do a ME post whenever you want, we have all been there and done it. Glad the party was still fun regardless xx
Julia - You got the sex and you want the name now as well ... some things I will have to keep a secret! Glad you are not feeling blah sick this time around with your bubs, but sorry to hear about the gas! Pass on my sympathies to BEN ... LMAO!!
Celtic - How are things going with you? Been thinking about you and hoping you get a miracle babe xx
Kellie - Thanks for the link for the BB meet, I will have to look into it and see what we are up to that weekend. A night or morning out would be really welcome right now!
Amber - I see on FB you wrote your birth story, better have a read after I post here. Also had a quick squiz at your pics and you can definately see a lot of Myles in bub. Do you see it as well?
:hello: to everyone I have missed in my pm's!
-
Kaz i hope these AB's do the trick for Mia, Seems like we have both had a really bad run illness's this year.
Good luck with your GTT i really hate that test.
Tiff will you be finding out the flavour of your bubba? Glad T had a great day & i really hope she isn't asthmatic.
Kodi is still getting her high temps, without the panadol her temp goes to 40.
She's not sleeping for longer than 30mins at a time & i can't put her down. I'm sooo tired & i know she's exhausted. She has bright red eyes from always rubbing them. Really hoping the AB's kick in today.
-
Hey ladies,
I just wanted to bid you farewell. I am leaving BB due to recent issues i have had. I wish all the new bubs, pregnant mamas and those TTC all the very best.
I'll only be popping on to congratulate the new mama's when their bundles arrive and if good friends fall pregnant.
Thank you for all the support i have been given over the past 3.5 years
Take care
:heartbeat: Kim

Kazaraz - Oh you poor thing, BH would be horrible, especially when you still have a bit to go. T was a very active bub, so I know how you feel there. I hope the BH and bub gives you some rest soon. I have had to go call the "Health Direct Aust" hotline a few times about T which is the same as nurse on call, they are so helpful. I hope Miss M is feeling better really soon.
Mo - You poor thing, that all sounds so horrible, I can only imagine how tired you all are. It must be so sad seeing your little baby that sick and tired. I hope things start to pick up really soon for you.
Kim - Thats so sad to see you go! I'll be sure to keep updated on FB, I love seeing all the pics of your little people and their latest antics!!! Take care dear.
Tiera had her 2 year check this morning and all is well. She is 11kgs and 84 cm. On the 25% line for height and in between the 10 n 25% line for weight, which I am happy with.
Well computer is playing up so I'm off. Take care ladies
-
Just a quickie from me, whilst I have 5 minutes. I have playgroup this morning and am in the process of getting ready. GIrls are still asleep though, so I might have to do the dreaded and wake them!
Mo - Mia is heaps better. The anti's that she is on are like liquid gold and I seen an improvement within 24 hours of her using them. Same happened with Tay. Yay. How is Kodi?
Pish - Braxton hicks like I am getting are all new to me, it still surprises me that you can be having No 3 and still learning new things! As for computer issues, me 2! My computer doesn't like the heat, just like its owner!
:hello: to everyone else, it is a bit quiet in here. Hope everyone is ok xx
-
Kaz- Kodi now has a rash from her AB's. My poor baby girl can't get a break.
The rash is on her tummy, back, face & head.
So glad Mia is feeling better :)
-
Hi all
Amber - your birth story was amazing and quick!
Trish - how are you doing? How's K?
Mo - poor Kodi! Are there other ABs she can take? Your girls really have been through the illnesses this year.
Kaz - so glad that Mia is doing better.
Tiff - we think she is gorgeous too! I can't believe she is 3 months already, time flies when you're at home looking after a baby.
Julia - yay for feeling better.
Hi to everyone else!
Poor L has had an allergic reaction to mozzie bites. Despite putting repellent on his face, feet etc he has been bitten alive. Not only does he have the bites on his face but around his forehead and eyelids are all swollen. DH is going to talk to the chemist today to see what he can take but thinking I might need to take him to the Dr.
-
Hey everyone! I'm surviving over here LOL! So many dramas while DH is away. Yesterday I went to get K out of bed and asked him to hop up, but he said "Stuck!" and couldn't get up. Once I got him out of bed he refused to walk and couldn't bear his weight. I put him on the couch and he sat there ALL morning, crying and in pain. His left knee was swollen so I made an appointment at the GP for the arvo. Luckily my mum could come and help and she helped me get Joel to and from kinder (I was going to have to try and carry both K and Alana :o) and get K to the GP. Luckily by the arvo the swelling had gone down a lot and he was starting to walk around. The GP said it could be an infection in his knee joint which is really serious, so I've been watching for redness and a temp. He seems better today, he's a bit sore and stiff, but much better than yesterday.
Alana had a SHOCKING night last night, she wanted to feed every three hours and needed resettling at 4:30am and 5:30am, then K wanted to get up at 6:45am, yuck!
On top of that, our dog is limping! He looked a bit sore for a while and then he yelped while I was outside and is holding one of his front paws up. Please don't tell me I need to get him to the vet!!! It's amazing how things go wrong when DH is away LOL!
DH emailed me from Japan this morning saying his eyes and bridge of his nose are all swollen, he thinks it's conjunctivitis. The poor thing!
Saffi - Poor L, I hope you can find a way to get the swelling down.
Mo - Poor Kodi :(. Here's hoping after she gets over this sickness/allergy that she'll stay well for the rest of the year!
Kaz - I'm glad Mia is on the mend :)
Tiff - Sounds like Tiera is doing great! Well done mummy :D
Kim - Take care of yourself and your gorgeous family .
Hope you all have a great day!
-
Trish - they say things come in threes. Hope today is better for you all.
-
Saffi - We have really bad sandflies here so I know how you feel about the little man's bites. SIL took T down the back a few days ago, claims she sprayed her before taking her down, but she came home covered in bites, poor little girl. Hope the bites clear up really soon.
Trish - My goodness, you certainly do have your hands full there! I started laughing when was reading what K was doing in thr morning until you said he was crying in pain, I thought he was just being a character... Poor little man. Isn't that strange that it just came out of no where. I guess he'd be an active little man. T is very active and I find bruses and pumps on her and have no idea where she got them  .... Is that as bad as it sounds?! Poor DH and puppy too. My goodness, when it rains it pours!!! Luckily your mum isn't too far to help you out.
Nothing to report here. T's coughing was terrible this morning and hse could not breath. She tried so hard to cry and got out mummy then just coughed and coughed and coughed... This was at 5:30 this morning so I just gave her her puffer and sat with her asleep in my arms trying to help her breath. Poor little Miss, I felt so helpless.
Anyways ladies, I shall be off. Have a great day.
-
Hey all...
So many sick bubs in here at the moment - hope they are all feeling much better soon.
Trish - Wow, you're having a great time so far huh?! Hope K is OK. I thought it was a bit suss the other day when you said he kept telling you he was 'stuck'. Hopefully it's nothing but if he keeps complainging, I'd take him for an xray or u/sound or something I think. Anyway, I'm sure you're on top of it. I finally got that hammock I borrowed this weekend. Have set it up tonight and the little man is asleep in it now. He is sleeping fine in his bassinette but figured if I could get him to sleep longer at night that would be great but mainly I'm hoping he'd be able to stay in the hammock longer than the bassinette because I'm not ready to move him into his room yet and while his cot would fit in our room, it'd be a bit crowded. How is Alana going in her hammock? They are a bit hard to get used to if you haven't used one before I think! I keep coming in to check on him cause he looks all squished in there :dunno: Anyway, he settled pretty well. The last few nights he has been really hard to settle initially but then slept OK. Bugger! I just sneezed and woke him
The one I have is really old I think, it doesn't look like the newer ones but it is an Amby I think. Anyway, will see how he goes in it, if it's no good then I will just give it back and wait until he grows out of his bassinette and go from there!
Mo - How is Kodi's rash going? Poor poppet has had a rought trot. Hope she's feeling better soon.
I'd better go, little man needs to be resettled
Will try and pop back later.
-
Willow - I'll definitely be getting K looked at if he gets worse. He's actually improved heaps today and has been running around really well. It still hurts him when I touch it though so we're not out of the woods just yet. Re: the hammock, they do look a bit squishy if you're not used to it LOL! Hopefully it works well for you guys. I only put Alana in it for her day naps, I bounce her in it to settle her and help her go to sleep. She has been having some great naps in it, up to 3 hours sometimes. Her night sleeps have been going downhill since she got sick a couple of weeks ago, I'm really hoping she goes back to normal soon. A huge problem is that she gets out of her wrap and it wakes her right up. I have tried lots of different ways of wrapping her, but she is a little Houdini, it's driving me nuts! Tonight I'm trying her in a Swaddle Me that my SIL lent me. Fingers crossed it works! Oh, and thanks for the thank you card, I got it last week. D looks SO cute in the photo!
Tiff - Poor Tiera, I hope her cough improves soon. I had to go on Ventolin when I got bronchitis when I was pg with Alana, it really helped. You're doing a great job of cuddling her and looking after her .
Saffi - Here's hoping!
Better go and have a shower before the little Miss has her dream feed. Hopefully K falls asleep soon, he's been in bed since 7:30pm, but is still making noise. Joel is in the same room and is fast asleep through all the chatter!
-
Trish - well that was not a good first attempt in the hammock! I ended up taking him out of it and putting him back in his bassinette cause I couldn't resettle him. Will try him again tomorrow during the day. He is sleeping OK during the day but hasn't done 3 hours for about 2 weeks now...about 2 hours is as good as it gets at the moment. That's probably normal though, given he is almost 3.5 months old :o He is still having 3-4 naps, so I'm happy that he's getting enough sleep during the day. We went away for the weekend and ironically he slept better there than he has been at home - he was perfect! LOL. He is still waking twice at night for feeds but I'm OK with that for now, he's straight back to sleep so it's not too tiring.
A friend gave me some of those Kiddopotamus wrap thingos (are they the same thing??)...let me know if you want to borrow them and I'll send them to you. I have 3 and am not using them for D.
-
Kimbaz - you will be missed on the forums, but shall keep in touch on FB :)
Trish - How is Alana sleeping any better? How are the boys? Congrats again on your anniversary for your engagement today :)
Saffi- how is L and his bites today? Poor little man :(
Mo- How is Kodi going?
Sorry to hear all the little ones are having a tough time. Ryan still has his cough and a slight rash comes and goes, but he's never had these antibiotics before so I think that may be the cause?
Have an ultrasound on Monday, the radiology place here closed this week for refurbishment and won't be reopened to January. The only other place is the hospital and they are refusing all outpatients till January. I had a bit of a tanty and they managed to fit me in 10am Monday. Told them I wanted to know once and for all if bubs is alive or if I have a rotting corpse inside me and I'm not waiting till January to find out!! Had to fax them all my sonographer reports and referal and they rung my dr before giving me the appointment. Hopefully it has given it enough time to say for sure.
Anyways wee man has finished breakfast so better go take him out and spend some time with him now my last uni assignment is finished as of last night YAY! One exam in 2 weeks I only need 5/50 to pass the course and then on to summer school subjects *sigh*
Hope everyone has a better day and the wee folk don't terrorise their mums too much :)
