Morning! Thought I'd pop in here now that my mum has taken the boys to the park and Alana is having a nap.
Willow - Yep, it is the Kiddopottamus wrap :). It really worked last night! She slept for 7.5 hours, had a feed and went back to sleep until 8:30am! :confetti: This is what she was doing before she got sick and then started getting out of all her wraps. I am soooo happy and I hope we have just as much success tonight. I went in to get her this morning and she was still wrapped up tight and was giving me massive gummy smiles, so cute! Thanks for the offer of lending my your wraps, but I might just look at buying some second hand off eBay. I'd be worried I'd wreck yours or something LOL! Keep trying with the hammock, sometimes it takes a few goes for them to like it.
Celtic - I'm so glad you got an appointment for a scan, I can't believe no one was going to give you one :o. Good on you for sticking up for yourself. I hope you get some answers on Monday .
Things are going a lot better now K is almost back to himself. I'm so glad my mum is here today, the boys need someone other than mummy to entertain them! My mum bought them some squirter bottles from a $2 shop the other day and they have had a ball running around outside squirting everything! It's been so hot in Melbourne, so it's the perfect toy. It's amazing how something that cost $1.50 can be so entertaining .
Have a great day everyone :D
-
Trish - I'll see if my friend wants to selll them. They are in great condition and she doesn't need them anymore and I'm certainly not using them. Will save you the hassle of ebay.
Glad to hear it worked for you! Am a bit frustrated with Ds sleep today. He had a crapola morning nap, 1hr 20 mins. What is Alana averaging? I dont' know whether I should be happy enough with that or if I should push to get him to sleep longer??
Might try the hammock for his next nap.
My mum is coming today too - and the timing couldn't be better. I'm not big on patience today!!
-
Willow - If they are a size large and your friend wants to sell them, please let me know! D's nap sounds pretty good to me! Alana is all over the shop with her naps and I've given up stressing about it. Her first nap of the day is usually about 50 minutes, I'm pretty sure it's because she's still hungry after sleeping all night. Her second nap is usually her longest, but can range anywhere from an hour and 20 minutes to 3 hours. Her naps tend to get shorter (and harder!) after that. I just go with the flow these days and don't try to resettle her if she wakes up (it's pretty much impossible anyway). Good luck with trying the hammock again!

K is still sick, the rash is every where now & she pretty much just screams all day & night. Dr said to keep giving her panadol till the screaming settles down.
She's in pain some where we just don't know where. She's off the AB's as they really upset her tummy.
So unfortunately we all just have to ride it out.
Dr said the rash is viral & it's just her body's way of tiring to rid itself of the virus which is good.
Will be back tomorrow for personals

Oh no Mo, poor Kodi :(. I'm praying that she makes a speedy recovery and that you all get some rest tonight .
-
Mo - I am sorry to hear that Dakota is still not well. I only hope that things turn around for you soon ... I am sure you are all starting to feel drained and its always upsetting to see your kids out of sorts and you are helpless. Just remember you are doing the right things by taking her to the doctor, giving her panadol for pain and the ab's which hopefully help soon!
Trish - I am glad things have picked up for you and yay for your mum popping by to help out ... the water bottles sound like a hit. She did good!
Celtic - I am glad you have a scan Monday, the waiting game must be getting a bit tiresome for you. Good luck and I really hope you get happy news from it! Has the bleeding settled down?
:hello: to everyone else.
I am off to bed. In a bit of pain tonight, lower back and hips are killing me. Also getting really breathless from doing hardly anything. Bubs has been a bit quiet this afternoon, so will keep an eye on that. Maybe he is just a bit tired and worn out from the heat like his mummy!
Hope you are all well girls xx
-
Hi all
Mo - poor Kodi. I hope she gets better soon.
Trish - need to remember the water bottles. The weather is not too hot up here yet, but will only be a matter of time before it gets hot and humid.
Kaz - how are you feeling today?
Celtic - I can't believe that a town the size of Bathurst wil have both ultrasound labs unavailable. Where is everyone suppossed to go in the meantime? Hope you get some definitive answers on Monday.
L is doing a lot better. The hives and the swelling has gone down and now he is just a bit itchy. Covering him head to toe in insect repellent and long sleeve clothes overnight.
-
I think Kodi is over the worst of it. The rash is fading & she actually ate a few mouthfuls of food today.
I was even able to put her on the floor & let her crawl around for a bit this morning :)
Maddi has been really into doing crafts lately, so yesterday we went & brought some trees, frames & reindeer's to paint. So today Kodi goes down for a nap so i get all the stuff for M to paint.
M ends up painting half the kitchen table, her feet, her tummy, some of her face, her hands, arms & only 1 Christmas tree lol Thanks goodness for non toxic washable paint.
Saffi i'm so glad L is doing better, How is Immi going? Are you still b/fing?
Trish I'm glad K is doing better & the water bottles sound like a great idea. Will have to get some for M.
Am i still ok to pick up the carseat tomorrow?
Lauren all the best for Monday, I really hope you get some answers. Will be thinking of you.
Kaz I hope your feeling better today & bubba starts moving more for you.
Kodi was the same with the heat i'd have lots of quiet moments with her & it always scared me.
Hi to all the others Mums.
-
Mo - I'm glad Kodi is a bit better today, the poor thing needs a break. Yep, tomorrow is fine. Still 1pm?
Saffi - I'm glad poor L is recovering, it sounds so nasty. K got eaten alive on his camping weekend, luckily he's not allergic. The only annoying thing is that he picks all the scabs so they aren't healing. He has a huge one on his face, I hope it doesn't scar.
Kaz - I hope your bub is moving around heaps today. I sympathise with all the aches and pains, it's awful!
Poor K is so tired these days, I guess he is still getting rid of all the bugs that have been harassing him. He fell asleep on the couch both yesterday and today. He wanders off to get his blankie and dummy and before you know it he is asleep on the couch, so cute! I had to get him up to pick up Joel from kinder today, but luckily he went back to bed when we got home.
Only one more sleep until DH is home! I'm so looking forward to having him home, the boys will be over the moon too :D.
Have a great day all!

Mo - great news about Kodi! L did some painting in decorating lolly bags for his birthday party. He also painted the table, his arms, and hands. I am sure if the dogs were still long enough he would have tried to paint them too.
Immi is doing really well, thanks for asking. Yes we are still BF. Actually I amtaking medicine to (hopefully) increase my supply. Only been on it a couple of days but already notice a bit of a difference. I made it to almost 5 months with L so if I can get there with Immi I will be happy.
Amber - how's Flynn doing? I know you will pop in when you can. The early days are so full on, aren't they? Remember to rest when you can.
Trish - poor K! I notice that whenever L is feeling a little unsettled or anxious he goes off and gets his binkie (comforter) and dummy. I would hide them but that create a major tantrum. Better that he self regulate his use. Have you put in an order for some duty free for DH to bring home?
-
Yep Trish we will be there at 1pm & i wont bring K in. Don't want to risk getting your kiddies sick :)
K is also very sleepy it's a good thing 2, She's barely slept the last week.
Saffi you'll get to 5 months, you've done so well to get this far with all your problems.
I'm aiming for 1yr & considering it's only 4 months away i feel confident we will get there, unless K suddenly decides to wean that is.
Amber i'm sure the pictures will turn out great, I'm getting some of the girls done next week.
I'm very lucky that Sammi(Raven) comes to your house to do them & she takes such lovely pics.
-
Mo - Cool see you at 1pm! Sam is going to be taking some photos of Alana for me soon, I can't wait!
Saffi - I have no probs with the dummy and blankie atm, if it means he's comforted then I'm happy :)
-
Trish she takes such great pics, Kodi's newborn shots we fantastic. I just hope M behaves herself & we can get at least 1 nice shot of the girls together!
M is a total mimi(Dummy) freak, She can't go any where without it. I thought about weaning her from it but at the end of the day she talks clearly & has a great vocabulary. I don't see them harm in her having it if it keeps her happy.
-
Well photos are off! Actually i rang them to cancel and she informed it me it wasnt a sitting just a meeting to organise our shoot...um if i knew that i would have gone when i was pregnant
Anyway I am here waiting for my Ob to call back as i have had quiet a big bleed jsut before and want to make sure its nothing to worry about!
Flynn is great, feeding lots sleeping lots woohooo and is a pretty easy baby! Myles is a bit out of sorts, plus he is sick so thats not helping!
anway beter go! love to you all xxx
-
:hello: everyone,
Just a quick one from me.
Amber - I hope all is ok with the bleed. I had a HUGE clot pass a week after I had DD and it freaked me out big time... Turns out it is completely normal, but just usually passes faster than what it did.
Celtic - GL for Mon dear, I hope all goes well for you and bubby was just keeping you in limbo. I can't believe they weren't going to give you an appointment... Did they forget to screw their heads on or something?!
Mo - Oh dear, you poor little princess. I hate when they say 'it's a virus, you just have to ride it out', its not fair on the little people. Wishing you (your girls) all the healthiness possible!
Saffi - Great to hear L is doing better!
Hello and sorry to all I have missed, I am ready for bed.
Just wanted to let you know Tiera is doing a lot better. The Ventolin has made a big difference and when I took her back to the Dr today they offically called it 'Asthma', which was a bit sad for me (having it my entire life I truely did not want knids to have to go through it all!) , but they are as happy as I am that the puffer is making such a difference. She will be on it for at least another couple of weeks, then she'll only have it as needed (which hopefully is very rarely). The Dr asked who in the family had it, when I said I did he said 'Oh YOU"VE got the bad genes'! Yeah thanks for thats! As if I don't feel bad enough as it is! Goodness me, no wonder I never go to see him (I got booked into the wrong Dr ).
Anyways take care ladies. I hope you all have a great weekend!
-
HI girls, just a quick hi to say all ok, bubs just having a quiet time. But he has made up for it today, especially with this foot or whatever it is that he just won't move! Tried all the usual ... poking and prodding ... oh well. I am glad he is at least comfy.
Will come back tomorrow for pm's, but I hope you are all well and having a fantastic weekend. xx
-
Hi everyone
apologies for being so slack.... again!
Celtic - good luck with your scan tomorrow, I hope you get some answers
Julia - thanks! I can't believe you are already 12 weeks!
Mo - we've bought Tahlia one of those plastic Dora cubbies for christmas, got it in July at the toy sales. I'm sure she'll end up getting more than that though!
Trish - hope Kierans leg is all better now! I bet its great having your DH back!
Mo - how is Kodi today?
Pish - sorry to hear about the asthma diagnosis, that does suck! I'm still very tired too, but the sickness has passed, so shouldnt be too much longer for you! Are you finding out the gender of this bub?
Saffi - how are L's bites now? poor little thing!
Amber - how are you going? Hope the bleeding has settled down
kaz- sorry to hear bubs is giving you some pain! I just said to mum the other day that I couldnt wait for the strong movements that people can feel from the outside and she just shook her head at me... she probably remembers me complaining about Tahlia hurting me when she kicked like that!
AFM - Miss T has an ear infection at the moment, so she is on ear drops. They thankfully seem to be clearing it up quickly though. Friday night she woke up screaming and going 'ouch my ear' and 'panadol', so it must have been horrible for her! It is good (in a funny kind of way) that she can tell me where her pain is now, rather than me trying to guess.
Got my ob appt tomorrow so looking forward to a quick scan of bub to see how he/she is going... and less than 3 weeks till my big scan.. I can't wait!
Hi to everyone else!
