Hello,
Just wondering if I can gatecrash this thread:redface:. Can't remember the last time anyone ever posted in the November one..
I have a DD born in Nov 07, who is a typical energetic chatty toddler, and a little DS born in August this year.
Not sure how often I will get to post, but am looking forward to chatting with others with kids the same age as DD..
-
-
Hi Heather! You are more than welcome to join us in here :D
-
Hey Heather! I haven't posted in the November thread for waaaay over a year now. I hadn't realised you'd had another bub in August too - congratulations!!
-
Hi girls, sorry I have been MIA ... but as Trish mentioned we have been sick AGAIN! So over it ... thought we had seen the last of it for 2009, but not so it seems. The kids and I got hit with a gastro type thing. High temps, vomiting for 1 and both kids broke out in a rash that they still have. Apparently it can last up to two weeks, longer in the heat. Yay. But they have picked up heaps, so gotta be happy with that. But we missed kindy orientation and the playgroup christmas party because of it and I even had a cry over that one. I was soooo looking forward to getting out of the house on Friday, as we have been housebound all week. Kids were better Thursday and all was hunky dory, then Mia woke at 6 with another temp of 40 and I could not get her to keep anything down. Oh well, next year!
Other than that travelling ok. Got a lot of soreness happening with this pelvic instability and even have had a couple of nights where I literally could not get up off of the couch. It is really scary and I am just hoping that things go back to normal when I have the baby. On a big weight loss mission wants this bubs is born, which will start in helping me to get my body back to some kind of comfy state!
Anyway, I am sitting here in lovely silence. So I thought I would jump online and see how my fellow UTD friends are, give you an update and just relish in some quietness before the mad house begins once the rugrats are up!
:welcome: Heather!
Mo - Cubby house sounds great, you can get some excellent bargains on ebay. The cubby house we brought for our girls was $100 and it was brand new, they sell them in the big stores for $250 plus. Yay. We are also working on making outside a great place for the kids, we have got them a swing set for christmas and their grandparents have brought them a new trampoline. Let's hope that the wind does not destroy this one, as it did the last one!
Trish - I cannot believe you are losing your big baby boy to school ... I feel your pain and Mia is only going to kindy. But I am sad about it, especially when at the AGM they were talking about the kids from last year and they will be starting school. I was like that will be us in a year ... sad!
Amber - Glad to hear you went out and had a great night, read your FB status updates, how was dessert??? :D
Pish - Not long to go now till you find out if you are having a baby boy or girl, so exciting! Are you sharing?
Kellie - How exciting that you are having a boy! It is a whole new world when it comes to boys from what I am learning! Especially in the clothes department. What did you think of Pumpkin Patch? I didn't think they had much. Apparently there is an outlet store in Collingwood called Pure Baby or something that has great boys clothes, blankets etc! They have a website and they are a bit pricey, but their marked down stuff is really good. Check it out if you have time!
Willow, Julia, Amelia & Saffi - How are you doing?
:HELLO: to anyone I have missed.
Oh, an update on my 4d pics. We received them finally and were a bit disappointed with them. We only got 4 pics after the lady said we are getting heaps of great pics. Anyway, I sent an email and said we were disappointed in the quality and the dvd also has a song on it that skips the whole way and we have heard nothing back. So I have decided to post them on facebook anyway, see what you think? I will do it now.
Chat later girls, I hope that you have a great day. K x

Hey everyone
Been reading but now have finally got a chance to do a post as DH and L have gone to Bunnings and Immi (I shall now refer to her as M) is asleep.
Heather - the more the merrier! Willow, Trish and I all have babies in the early Aug09 group so maybe we'll see you there too?
Kaz - I saw on FB that you have all been sick. Hopefully it will pass soon. You guys really have had a bad time of it. Once I'm off here I'll look at those pics of bubby, but sorry to hear you are disappointed after waiting so long (and probably paying lots of $$$). Don't want to scare you but back/pelvis probs are very common postpartum (so physio says). I'm still wearing the brace tho I am moving around so much easier now but it has taken a few months to get there.
Trish - thanks for the compliment re the cards. I sent all my Xmas cards out yesterday so now have to think of new cards I can make. Can always make Xmas cards for next year.
I don't think you'll be the only mummy having a teary on the first day of school LOL. Is J excited?
Mo - cubby house sounds great. I like the fort with the cubbyhouse, swings, slide etc, but they cost over $1000 which can't really justify atm. DH wants to get a trampoline for L for Xmas but I'm not so sure he's old enough for it yet.
Hello to Julia, Kate, Kellie, Tiff, Amber, Amelia (and anyone else I have missed).
Is anyone going to get their babies or toddlers vax'ed for Swine Flu? I see that they now have a vax for babies >6months. DH had the vax as he is a health worker but I haven't yet and wasn't sure about the kids. I'll talk to the GP and see what he thinks.
Nothing happening here. M was 4 months yesterday. She is doing really well and is such a happy little bubby. L is going well too. He is being put up into the preKindy room at daycare after Xmas which will be really good. He is also doing 4 days at the one daycare from then too.
Think we might put the Xmas tree up today. Might need to erect a fence around it to keep L and the dogs away from it.
Have a good day everyone.
-
Cubby house has been built & the wood has been stained. It looks really good will post pics on FB soon.
Saffi our cubby can turn into a fort, we where going to buy it all at once but then we thought our council may have rules on heights etc..
We are not getting our kids vax'ed, i wouldn't get it for myself so i'm not doing it to my girls :)
Heather welcome :)
Kaz sorry you've all been sick again.
-
hello all,
again its been a while between posts.
Kellie - congrats on finding out your having a little boy how exciting!
its been hectic here, appointments with Nixon, my busiest work week of the yr, dh busiest work time and now all the xmas parties have begun!
had a scare today with Tyron I was at a friends place with them for a work xmas party and Tyron fell in the pond, face down.... i seen it happen and was a few metres away, he was fine, upset for maybe a minute and then wanting to go back to the dam pond.... i however was shaking for ages.
2 days before at my nephews bday party he escaped the party at a sports centre, took himself down stairs into the foyer all whilst i was putting Nixon's shoes on.......these events trie and stress me out and i dont know why i keep going to them when i am on my own... i hope as they get older it gets easier with them
-
Nic how scary hun  So glad he is ok1 Love your new Av too :)
Saffi we wont be getting the swine flu vax done i dont believe there has ben enough reasearchg especially in babies, but you should do what feels right for you
Kaz hope your feeling better  loved the 4d shots :) Desert was yummy.
Mo cool a cubby house...i want to get one for the kids but wont till we move :)
Hi heather and welcome :hello:
Sorry to anyone i missed!
Had santa photos done M was good F screamed thre whole time lol! oops better go M is calling :) xxx
-
Hi everyone
Cute story. We put the Xmas tree up last night. L was captivated. We all put santa caps on (even M). L wouldn't take the cap off - even this morning he put it on. As soon as he got up he ran to the tree, saying hi to it and waited for me to turn the lights on. I think this Xmas is going to be very entertaining.
DH said that while at Bunnings L saw a large man with a white beard and was wearing a red shirt and L pointed to him and said Santa. FIL is also a large man with a white goatee. I would be interested to see what L says if he wore a red shirt!
Nic - how scary. These things happen in slow motion, don't they. You can see it happen but just can't get there quick enough.
Have a good day everyone.
-
Aww Saffi L is sooo cute! x
-
Morning ladies!
I have been away for the weekend and there is now so much to catch up on in here!
:welcome: Heather, great to have a new member. I'm a little slac and only rememeber to come in sometimes, but I'm sure you'll see about from time to time!
Nic - How scarey!!! I would have freaked big time! It's kinda funny how they get over so quick when you wish they'd be some what scared away from what they'd just done! As for going walk abouts... I haven't yet lost DD and don't look forward to the day she does walk off, but I know it's bound to happen sooner or later. I lost my nephew in a shop one day... He was there one minute and gone the next. I had a major panic, screaming and shouting his name like a mad women, then I hear "peek-a-boo" he was hiding in the clothes rack!!!! I was so freaked out I took him straight home! hahaha Ah the fun of it all :P
Amber - I'm gettingT's santa photos done on the weekend, I just hope she's ok with Santa now, last year I had to sit in on the photo! Good to hear M was good, gives me some hope :)
Mo - FIL was going to build T a cubby house, be decided buying it was a better idea... How gorgeous that you guys have gone and made your own for them! I can't wait to see some pics, I bet they love it (well M for now, K will love it when shes a little older :) ).
Saffi - I really don't know if I'm going to vaccinate against Swine flu with T or myself, I just don't know. I really do see that its a good idea for us due to the industry we are in (we run a tourist park, there for get people from all over the country and the world staying), it just leaves us wide open if we don't... I just don't know. I wish I could make a decision, or at least DH make it for me!!! Nawww how gorgeous! What a beautiful little story!
Kazaraz - Thats a shame you're not happ with the DVD of your scan. I'd love to have a 4D scan, hopefully I can talk DH into getting one done! I hope the women gets it all sorted for you so you can be happy with it all. I'd be posting them anyway, I bet everyone would love to see them!
:hello: Trish, Willow, MiniMax and everyone else I've missed.
Well I've got my scan today and I just can't wait!!! We're not finding out the sex as I couldn't talk DH around. I am quite dissappointed as I really wanted to feel what it was like to know as we had a suprise with T, but I just have to get over that I guess :)
We had a great weekend, went to our besty's place with a heaps of our friends for some Chissy celebrations. DH got soooooo drunk which I wasn't happy about at all. I just don't understand why people go out to have a good time then get themselves so drunk they can't even remember the night!!! DH was so out of it he crash tackled me to the ground, with his arms wrapped tightly around my belly right where bubby sits and I spent a lot of the night awake in terrible pains. I was furious then when I told him the night day he said he felt so bad, so what did he do the next night, got even drunker!! Hmmmmm MEN! What can you do with them?!
Oh well I had a great time with the girls, even if we did had to babysit all of the children while the boys went out all day both Sat and Sun. Besty even made me a beautiful Mocktail!
Anyways thats it from me. I hope you all have a great day!
-
Tiff - how'd the scan go? Did you cave in?
Doesn't your DH remember you are pregnant? Crash tackling a pregnant woman!
Think M might be teething. She is drooling a lot, chewing at her hand and her nappies are smellier than usual. Thought I could feel a little sharp bit on her gum but not sure. DS teethed at 4 months so I expect M will be the same.
Thanks everyone for your thoughts re Swine Flu. I admit I'm a bit sceptical about it too. Anyway I'll chat to the Dr and see what he thinks.
-
Saffi - D cut his first tooth two days ago :o Both L & V didn't get their first teeth till 6 months so we're a bit shocked!
Super quickly....
Mums of Octoboys...what have you brought them for xmas?? (I know some of you have posted about it but I don't have time to read back over all the posts today!)We got our layby out last night and I'm feeling bad for L cause he doesn't really have one, big exciting present just for him iykwim? V has a stack of Barbie stuff that she'll go crazy over but L doesn't have anything like that.
Was thinking about a little trike??
Amber - was it you that posted pics on FB of Myles' little trike??
Sorry for lack of personals guys, will BBL for those!
-
Willow - congrats on the tooth!
So far L is getting a trike, a Thomas railway track, a train, swimmers and a personalised placemat. We will get a few stocking fillers like undies and maybe some little toys, a water bottle or other small ish things. So far M has a personalised placemat!
-
Saffi - where'd you get his trike from? I'm looking online cause I wanna avoid the shops!
-
At the Target sale back in July. Its been on laybuy and I'm picking it up on Monday. Was also thinking about getting one of those mats with a car track printed on it so L can drive his toy cars on it.
-
Oh yeah, that's a great idea Saffi, I might keep that in mind too!
Found the trike I want for him (it's the same as the one Myles has :)) just trying to find it at a better price if I can.
-
-
Ok this might sound a bit weird, but I got Max a tea set! He loves doing pretendy things and i find it hard to find boy stuff that isn't really 'branded'. Everything is Thomas, Transformers, Ben 10 etc etc. I wanted to get him real life things. A friend here is leaving and is giving Max her sand/water table, so I bought some things for that like a sieve, watering can, spade etc. I also got him a Mega Blocs construction thingo....like a crane that can lift the blocks. I also heard that Ikea does a mean kids kitchen!!! DH bought him some car thingy's in those cases, you know the cars lift up and down and drive around it like a car park?, and he'd got one of those mats for his birthday. I'm going to wait till he's 3 (and taller) and get him a little bike with training wheels then rather than a trike now.
sorry for lack of personals, just thought I'd add in my two bobs worth.
xxoo
-
Hi all,
Sorry I didn't pop back yesterday after the scan, was having some mixed feelings and wasn't in the best head space, but I'm here now! :) Everything went really well with the scan. Bub is perfect, growing nicely (although a little small, still in normal range), was doing all the right things at all the right times making the sonographers job easy. We didn't find out the sex of the bub.
Well I don't have a boy so can't help with your Qu Willow.
Hope all is well.
-
I wasn't going to say anything As it's just a selfish post.
Kodi in the last week has had 2 seizures, both lasting around a 1min & both times she has become unresponsive while having them.
We got into the rapid review clinic at Casey & she sent K off for an ECG(Normal), blood test (waiting) & She needs to have an ECG done(Waiting for Monash to call back with a time).
I'm so worried about my baby girl, i'm hoping it's nothing & it was just a twice off thing.
Tiff so glad your u/s went well & i read your other post & i'm very sorry
-
Oh my goodness Mo :o, poor Kodi and poor you . Don't you dare apologise for posting about her! Please keep us posted with how she is going, I hope you get some answers. I'm praying for you guys .
-
Mo you call me if you need anything and please let us know how she is that must have been so scary for you all! Dont ever not tell us something that big especially if you need to talk  xxx
-
Thanks Ladies, i'm not in the best head space at the moment.
They weren't big seizures, but her body was shaking. Kinda like she was shivering really bad.
She had a blank stare & when we called her name etc she wouldn't respond.
I'm really hoping we don't have to go through this ever again, it's very scary.
I'd be so lost without you ladies :grouphug:
-
That is so scary Mo . Please let us know if you need anything.
-
Hi everyone
Thanks everyone for the congrats on the blue bundle, we are very excited. T wasn't happy with the idea at first, but I think she is coming around.
Welcome happy mummy!
Kaz - I didnt think PP had much either, although its hard for me as I need winter clothes and all the summer stock is still in. I'll have to check out the other store you mentioned. Hope you are all feeling better!
Saffi - I'm with Mo on the vax thing, I wouldn't get it for myself so i'm not doing it to T either
Nic - that must have been scary, glad he is ok!
Pish - glad to hear all was well with the scan, sorry you didnt get to find out bubs flavour
Mo - dont ever think thats a selfish post! Thats what we are here for! I'm sure K will be just fine... hugs
funny story from me, T was asking for chocolate yesterday and I told her she'd had enough, so this morning when I was asking her for kisses before I went to work, she gave me one, and when I wanted another, she told me I'd had enough kisses! Cheeky monkey!
Hi to everyone else!
-
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the warm welcome! I didn't get back in as DH and I have been having some issues, but all seems ok for now.. Just a lack of communication..
Kaz - hope the family starts getting back on track soon. It is so hard when you have a low immunity from one bug, cause you just get the next one, and it seems never ending. And missing fun events really sucks!
Saffi - We won't be getting the swine flu vax for DD. DH and I never considered it for ourselves either. I just don't feel enough research has been done.. We put our Xmas tree up and DD kept shoving decorations just on branches, but she had fun. And it is the 1st place she goes when she gets up or we get home too.
Mo - the cubby sounds great. We are thinking of something like that next year when DS can enjoy it too. But my parents have just split up, so we are taking the swing set as neither of them will have space for it. So hoping that is enough for DD in the meantime. I hope your DD is ok. Fingers crossed that it was only a virus or something that caused it!
Nic - how scary?? That must have been terifying. I am always so nervous taking both my kids on my own. I only ever take them to someone's house, that is about the level of my comfort cause DD is so fast and is only 2.
Boomba - I can't even get DD near Santa, not even screaming, so unfortunately not even going to attempt the photo this year. Not to mention how high my blood pressure goes just thinking of going to the shops.
Pish - men and drinking.. Must be a special gene. My DH got so drunk at DD's birthday party (he managed to hide it till everyone left though), and was so sick. No sympathy from here, but he did agree to getting a plastic climbing frame for DD, so I held him to it, LOL. At least your friend made mocktails for you!!
Willow - thanks for the congrats on DS. Still trying to get used to it myself, LOL.. I know I don't have a 2 yr old boy, bbut we are getting DD an overnight bag with wheels cause she tries to steel everyone's when they visit, and just some kids cooking stuff, and undies. More practical stuff. She got so many toys for her birthday and the family are getting her toys.
Julia - I think the teaset sounds great for a boy. My DS will be playing with that kind of stuff. My brothers, all older, were given stuff like that before I came along. But my 2nd eldest brother hates his son playing with girly stuff. No idea why. They need to learn life ettiquette somewhere.
Kellie - your DD sounds so much like my DD. The things they come out with!
Hope I didn't miss anyone.. But I never do posts like this, so don't get used to it, LOL..
AFU - DD has been very clingy today. Not sure if she is coming down with something or whether she just picked up on the fact that I was going somewhere today after dropping her off to daycare. She chucked one almighty tantrum which she has never done there before.
DD is a great big sister and is so helpful with DS. Apparently she even went into the nursery at daycare today to 'help out' as her room was short staffed. And she is moving up to pre-kindy early next year too, if I get her TT by then. They won't move her up until she is trained. But I am no hurry for either. She went a few times, and now asks for a nappy again, so will just wait another week and try again.
-
hope you are ok mo...
lachlan has worked out how to bribe me
i always buy him a flavoured milk when we do grocery shopping, and when we went near that fridge the other day he looks at me with this beautiful face and says
'mummy, milk, pease, miyum miyew' (translation, 'mummy, milk, please, i love you') it was the cutest thing :)
not much else going on here, the new job is fantastic and lachlan is enjoying being back at day care 2 days a week. he is with my mum one day, craig one day and me the other so it has all worked out perfectly!!!!
-
Aw Mo NEVER feel bad about posting things about your babies to us, that is what we are all here for. Hopefully it wasn't caused by anything awful. Let us know the outcome. xo
-
Morning ladies
Mo - Oh you poor thing! That must be terrifying for you all! I really hope everything is ok and it mever happens again! Keep us up to date with how it's all going.
Kellie - Have you been out blue shopping yet??? hehehehe you must be so excited! That is such a cute story! They really pick up on things so quick to use it against us! Too cute.
Happy - My DD is a great helper when bubs are around too! I think she'll make a great big sister. You must be happy that she enjoys being a big sister, I'd hate to have a 2nd child and the first hate it!
Kate - hehehehe Thats so cute... T tries those ones on me too, it's so hard to resist!! :) I get kisses and all!
:hello: MiniMax, Willow, Trish, Saffi, Amber and anyone else I missed.
I'm taking T to the Wiggles next Wed, she is going to love it and I can't wait!!! We're going with my aunty and little cousin so they'll have a great time together.
Thats about it from us. Hope you all have a great day.
Mo, we're all praying for you here. Hope you get some answers soon.
-
Mo - That must have been terrifying. I hope all of her results come back clear and it was just 'one of those things'. I was talking to a friend just last week who experienced a very similar thing. Turned out her little girl had a virus and after she recovered was just fine.
Pish - Just read your other thread. So sorry to hear you were so upset after your scan. I hope you and DH can resolve things. It's hard - my DH didn't want to know for #3 either but I was happy to just let it go. We are also going to see the Wiggles next Friday! Are you going to Newcastle or coming down to Sydney? Keep meaning to say, I didn't realise you were in Forster (or had forgotten) my mum and dad are up there and I lived there for a short time when I was a kid. We're hoping to move back up that way in a few years, although not that far north as DHs work is relocating to Newcastle.
Misskate - That is so cute! L says 'Wuv ooo mummy' for 'love you mummy'.
Hope everyone else is well. Thanks for all your tips re xmas presents. Have decided on a trike, just trying to get him one that doesn't cost the earth!
Better go, have a busy day of cleaning ahead of me, having a BB meetup here on Friday :o
-
Mo hun hope you get some answers soon  Give her a big hug for me! And please call me if you need anything ...i know I am really far away but even if it is juts to talk
Tiff bummer baout the scan hun ...have you talked about it yet?...we are off to the wiggles monday..free tix :) Myles is going to love it!
Happy maybe you could just dress the kids up in christmas sstuff and atke a pic at home? I was in the photo last year yuck :( Your DD sounds adorbale :)
Kellie aww too cute...M is a chocoholic...we swore he would never had junk food but its not fair us eating it and not him..but he always gets ot out of the fridge..and the tantrums when he doesnt get it oh boy!
Sorry if i missed anyone!

Well I im off to get my hair done today woohooo! so hugs to you all xxx
willow a trike sounds great....I dont know how much the one is i sent you cause mum and dad bought it. Have fun nwiht your BB meet up..i ma having a little xmas party next week and have soo much to do eeek!
-
Hello all
Mo - hugs to you. Please, please, please tell us about these things. Hopefully you will get some answers and even better that they never happen again. When I was a baby I had febrile convulsions and I turned out ok (mostly) LOL.
Heather - my DS (L) is going into pre-kindy too next year. Noone has said anything about TT but we are starting to train him so it hopefully shouldn't be long.
Pish - were you upset because couldn't find out the sex? Great that bub's is healthy.
Kate - how cute!
Amber - have a nice time at the hairdressers. I seriously need to get my hair done. It was last done just before M arrived.
Julia - like the idea of the tea set. They play home corner at daycare with a kitchen set. Nothing like getting boys trained up early!
Willow - I bought on line a personalised placemat for L and M. L has recently joined us at the table so he needs his own (easy to clean) mat. I still have mine from when I was a kid so its like continuing on the tradition.
Trish - hi!
kellie - I was disappointed at first when I knew L was a boy as I thought I'd miss out on all that shopping for cute outfits. In the end I actually enjoyed shopping for L. Boys clothes seem to be classed into surfer, country, preppy etc so once you decide what style he will have you can go from there.
Anyway, need to have a shower etc. Have a good day.
-
Hi everyone! I'm going to attempt to post while Alana is asleep and the boys are happily playing!
Mo - Still thinking of you guys, let us know how you go with the test results .
Amber - Lucky you getting your hair done! Make sure you post some pics on FB!
Willow - Trikes are so expensive aren't they?! I looked into getting one for K for Christmas, but was put off by the price and quality of the ones I saw in person. The really good ones were unbelievably expensive! We have bought K a wheelbarrow and I'm going to get some garden tools to go with it. He absolutely loves helping DH in the garden and I know he'll have a ball with his wheelbarrow :D
misskate - Heehee, Lachlan is so cute! How could you say no to that?
Heather - How gorgeous that your DD helped out with the babies! She sounds like a little mother hen :)
Kellie - Tahlia is so gorgeous, what a cheeky thing to say! I love the stuff they come out with. K was trying to undress himself (out of his PJ's) this morning and I asked him if he wanted some help. He said "No mummy, STAY!" and held his hand up at me LOL! Such a cheeky monkey.
Tiff - I'm glad the scan went well and your bub is doing well :). I hope you are feeling a bit better today .
Julia - A tea set is a great idea! I used to have tea parties with Joel and his teddies all the time!
Saffi - It sounds like M could be teething. Hopefully she teethes quickly and easily for you! L sounds like he's done well for Christmas!!
Nic - That must have been so scary :o. I'm glad you were there and that he was OK .
Kaz - How are you poor sickies going?
AFU - K has come down with a cold atm, he ended up in bed with us two nights ago because he was upset. I heard him start getting sniffly while in bed with us so he must have been feeling a bit ordinary. Last night was such a battle to get him to stay in bed, he carried on and wanted to come out. In the end I got him up because he woke Alana up with his noise and poor Joel couldn't sleep through it. I put him on the couch, turned the TV and lights off and told him to stay there while I have a shower. By the time I got out of the shower he had fallen asleep so I put him back to bed and he slept until 8am this morning. I really hope this isn't the start of night-time battles, I don't need it atm! Alana had an ordinary night last night, she'd done a poo at some stage overnight and it gave her a nasty rash which I'm guessing is why she was unsettled. I'm hoping tonight is better!
Hope you are all well!
-
Just popping in quickly to say hello, work is so bleeping boring today I've run out of things to do so thought I'd pop in and say hi.
Hope all is well, all ok here, Ry cranky with teeth, had a rash the other wk but is all good now. Wedding plans progressing nicely.
Anyways heading off, probably won't be back on for a while, xmas and all that and just don't feel the same about BB as I used to. Catch you on FB and can always email me at celtic_moon11@hotmail.com if anyone is boreded :)
Loves to all, belly rubs to new mums, comfort hugs for the bad times and many congrats to all the good times,
Take care, catch you all around :) xoxo Celtic aka Lauren
-
Still waiting on Monash to call us. K seems good today, She has a little bruise from her blood test other than she is happy :)
Thank-you for the thoughts, i know deep down she will be fine, but i really hate having to wait.
Especially since Monash could take a few weeks to fit us in for the ECG & then another week for the results to come back.
I'll bbl later with personals, I promise i am reading everyone's posts :)
-
Evening ladies,
Willow - We're going to the Newcastle show. I am going with my aunty and she is a complete stress ball when it comes to taking her daughter in the car!! All my family are in SYD so originally we were going down there but she thought NC would be a better option so we're staying at my nan's place in Swan Sea Tues night as it is a 10am show (I think!). If you're even heading up to see the fam let me know, I'd love to catch up for a coffee if you get the chance!
Amber - Thats great you got to do your chopping child free... T goes to family day care on Thurs so I try to do all of my shopping then, but it is pention day for all of the oldies in town..... My goodness it is the worse day to go to the shops, or even be on the road!!! I know that sounds so rude, but Fortser has the nighest percentage of over 65's in the entire country, so when they're all out verything moves oh so slowing... I wont even get into the driving thing!!! So I am glad I put most of the Xmas prezzies on layby back in July. It's great you and Terri are so claose and the kids get along we well!
Trish - I hope K is feeling better soon. T cried and cried and cried last night when she went to bed, got herself so worked up DH and I had to take turns on going in there and calming her down, I really don't know what her prob was though. It's good he fell asleep on his own still, even if he wasn't in bed. I hope he does better for you tonight.
Lauren - Great to hear from you. Hope you're all doing well. Take care
Mo - The wait must be so hard for you! I hope they call you really soon. Poor little bubba, it's just not fair is it?!
AFU - (for those of you that didn't see my post), I was so disappointed I didn't get to find out the sex of our bub. DH was completely against it so I really didn't have a choice. No, DH and I haven't spoken about it again yet. I woke up the next day feeling a lot more relaxed and wasn't mad anymore so didn't really want to revisit those feelings again. It will definately be discussed further later down the track, but one of the ladies said to me that she wanted to find out with her DH so they could share the happiness which really got me thinking!!! I don't think I could find out without DH knowing, I want to share it with the one I love... I know I'm pathetic!!! As for the Epi thing, I did say to him right through my last preg that if I ask for it I want my wishes listened to, to which he replies, 'no you'll be right' and that hasn't changed this time either, so when I book into the hossy I will be saying to them I would prefer not to have it, but if I ask then I am desperate and to give it to me (if time permits!). He will be furious that I have gone over his head but I am doing what I feel is right by myself, as selfish as that sounds.
Anyways nothing else happening here!!! Hope you all had a great day!
Going to visit my friend who had her bub yesterday (ktdancer, you may have seen her about here), I can't wait to meet her little princess! :D
Have a great night

Amber - You're a brave mummy. I cannot bring myself to cut Logan's curls off. I just can't do it! I know it's hot for him but I figure there'll be time for short hair later. I want to keep him my baby as long as I can! Sounds like F will be giving my D a run for his money hey?! I think he was about the same at that age and at 4 months is 7.9kg (and counting!) Getting upset by all the rude comments people make though. "oh what a buddha", "what a monster", "wow. he's HUGE" etc etc. The stupidest one to date "how do you carry him?!"....erm...are you mental? I use a crane.
How'd the haircut go???
Well...we ended up getting L's trike for xmas last night. Pretty happy with it and it was only $45.
