We are back from Kinder Info day. Maddi had a great time. The teaches seem really nice & most of the Mums seem nice.
We sending M because she is very shy & i'm hoping this will help her be more social, plus it will be great for her to meet other kids her own age & hopefully a few of them will goto the same school.
I can understand that Amber! :)
Trish- What a clever little cookie. I think girls talk a lot earlier generally but that's pretty darn good! Did the boys talk lots at 17 months? How did the big boy go at kindy? Lu doesn't go but insists on taking a backpack filled with crap everywhere!!
Mo- where does M get her shyness from? :p
JM - The boys talked a bit at 17 months, but not like Alana! Quite a few people are amazed at what she can say, she's definitely a born talker like her mum haha!
Mo - Glad Maddi enjoyed her orientation day :D
K LOVED his orientation! He got straight into playing as soon as we walked in the door and he played with his two friends he already knows. We had a playdate yesterday with one of his friends "M", which was great because they were so happy to see each other and play together today. Alana pulled up a chair as soon as we walked in and played with lego . I'm soooo happy K had a ball - when I took Joel 3 years ago he clung to me the entire orientation, he wouldn't play unless I sat with him. K didn't even look around to see where I was today :). I'm hoping he'll be just fine when I drop him off on Tuesday, he can't wait, so here's hoping he'll feel the same when reality hits that I'm going home. Joel was heartbreaking to leave the first few weeks, he cried and clung to me. I would leave almost in tears myself :(. He was always fine not long after I left, but MAN it was awful!
Anyway, Julia, are you REALLY glad we're chatting in here again? You have to put up with me talking all the time again .
Ange i think she may get it from me :p
Trish - Alana sounds pretty advanced to me. Immi is only saying a few words. Today she said thank you for the first time (very polite). Immi was trying to feed her baby doll some sausage at dinnertime and wiping the doll's face with a napkin to get the grease off.
Glad to hear all the kindy orientations went so well. I hope they settle in well. There are still mornings at daycare when our 2 cling to us and refuse to let go, but we know that within minutes of us leaving they are having a good time so I try not to feel so bad.
Have a good weekend everyone!
Mo How did Maddi go? Max is pretty shy too (doesn't get that from me LOL) so I'm worried about leaving him. He still wants me to do everything with him.
Amber So funny, when you mentioned about Black Swan, I thought you meant the animal!!! I was like, 'odd, beautiful, dancing...huh!?' LOL Can't wait to hear what your new adventure is going to be!
TrishYES I want to talk to you all more. I'll always maintain that no matter where I am in the world, you girls are always 'here'. It's my only normality! Alana sounds like she's going great guns in the talking department. My Mum always said that from a very early age I could talk to hind legs off a donkey so it must be a girl thing!
Ange I'm still so glad you're back :)
Hugs all and keep on talkin!
Wow with all this rain we are getting.
Last night when it was raining really heavy our front yard got flooded up to our door. Lucky our front door is up higher.
You could walk out the door & be ankle deep in water.
The street flooded & our back got flooded. Thanks goodness the rain stop or we would of had a serious problem.
This morning the flooding is going down, only part of the street, front & backyard is flooded.
Trish, Ange & Kaz hope you guys have escaped the rain without any damage.
How's your new swimming pool Mo? We had hardly any rain here, it must have skirted around us. :dunno: hope it receded at your place ok.
How's the new place Yules? When do you get to move in?
Anyone else's three year olds pushing the boundaries ALL day?? L is driving me up the wall. The tantrums are off the planet. :wall:
We move in on 23rd Feb...I.Can't.Wait!
Yep Max pushes it, but I can't blame the guy....we've gone from living in our own place, to living with my Mum to living in a temporary apartment (read...tiny) THEN going to a house where he will FINALLY have his things back. The guy has a right to be a little put out! Perhaps that is what is going on with Lu?
Ange we got lucky only had a flooded back & front yard but we Pakky was isolated for the day.
The traffic was shocking it took people 3hrs to get out & it was impossible to get in.
Yep M drives me crazy, i honestly can not believe how much attitude she has.
That flooding is so bizarre! My shop had water running through it (not the first time though!) our backyard dammed up until DH fixed it and under our house got flooded, luckily it didn't reach the electric pump for the water tank - it was installed under the house to avoid the wet LOL!
Ange - K used to push the boundaries more when he was two. But J on the other hand became really hard to manage when he turned 3, it was such a rude shock after having a sweet little boy for so long! When J went to 3 year old kinder I spoke to other mums who all said their kids went through boundary pushing stages at three. I think the threes are WAY worse than the terrible twos! I'm hoping K doesn't change overnight and jinx me now that I said he was worse at two .
I'm so excited, we took the kids to church yesterday and I asked K if he'd like to go to Sunday School by himself (last year he wouldn't) and he said yes. DH took him into the room and he told DH to go now LOL! He loved it, I'm sooooo happy! I am so much more confident about him going on his own to kinder tomorrow now :D. J was so clingy and wouldn't go to Sunday School by himself until he was 4 1/2, it's so nice not to have to go through it all again. So a little woohoo for me! I look forward to the day Alana goes to Sunday School to so I can actually sit through a whole service LOL!
Hope you all have a great day :D
I see we are all BB life members, i'm liking the orange. So much better to know who is life & who isn't.
Especially if RAKing.
Maddi had her first day of Kinder & couldn't say good bye to me fast enough. She looked so grown up.
Kodi doing well, she's really learning to scream if she doesn't get her own way. Can't believe she will be 2 next month!
Bambi not doing so well, having some bleeding/spotting so had an u/s we didn't see a HB but we did see the big bleed in my uterus. So i gotta take it easy for a bit & got back next Fri or the following Mon for another u/s.
Hope your all well x
I'm not in orange (sniffs) and my Av will probably disappear soon too!
I have some news for the Melbourne ladies - Saffi's coming to Melbourne!!!! I've just booked the flights so its official. Coming down over Easter, so if anyone's around let me know. It would be nice to finally meet some of you in person.
Woohoo Saffi! What dates are you in Melbourne? I am most likely going to be away from the 21st to the 26th, we're going to Wilson's Prom (fingers crossed our application for a campsite gets accepted!). I'd LOVE to meet you IRL :D
Mo - Big hugs , you must be pretty worried right now. I have my fingers tightly crossed all is OK and the bleed slows down. I'm glad Maddi enjoyed her first day of kinder :).
K LOVED his first day of kinder! I dropped him off with no probs and he had a great time :D. Alana wanted to stay too and was very disappointed when I said we had to go. She blew a raspberry at the kinder assistant to show how unimpressed she was . She's got attitude that girl!
Oh no Mo. I hope it's just a bleed. Good that the yolk sack was still in tact. Will keep things crossed for you. So you been RAK'ing Mo???? Hmmmm who the hell rak'd me?! Come on fess up. Cause now i'll owe ya again. :p Was it you? huh? huh?
Saffi- i might just be in melb around Easter, not sure..... when's easter?! :o I'd love to see you again. :)
Yules- you might be right. My dad is also pretty highly strung, so that didn't help. It's good to be home now she's been heaps better today.
Trish- just looking at your sig above where i'm posting.... 33? you old bag. :p
Thanks Ladies & Ange it wasn't me. I haven't RAKed anyone yet.
Your so loved around here i'm not surprised you got RAKed again :D
Saffi how exciting i should be around, where abouts are you staying?
Trish glad K loved Kinder, M had a great time today & can't wait to go back tomorrow.
Ange i think Easter is the 24th of April.
 Trish, only an old bag can call another by that name! It made me feel old, looking at it! Better get used to it.
I think we'll be in Fiji then. :(
When are u back in Melb?
umm April. Got a wedding on the 17th, then going to Fiji, then i'll be around for 4 months!!!
Good at least we will catch up this time. It will great to see all the girls together again x
We're staying in Mornington and we'll be there from 21 - 30/4. I'm sure we'll be doing some trips to the Greater Melbourne area. Anyway something to think about if anyone's around.
How are things going Mo? I only skimmed the posts and didn't read about Bambi. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you both. Take it easy and look after yourself.
What's this with all the old bag talk!!! I can guarantee you I'm the oldest bag of the lot of us!
Saffi don't worry, you're only as young as the bags you hang out with! LOL!
So jealous you all get to see eachother! Grrrrr!!!
Updated my blog today...check it!
Amber.....You going to tell us your new venture yet...I'm hanging out to know
Saffi we will come down to Mornington it will most likely be on a weekend/public holiday tho.
Jules the houses looks amazing, can't wait for more pics.
When does Charlie arrive?
Still spotting but i'm expecting ti so not worry about it anymore. It's not bright red anymore either so feeling more positive.
I only cramp & spot heavier when i over do it, So i'm trying to relax more.
The houses are so cute!
Charl arrives in May...he is seeing out quarrantine time in Aus. YAY!
Take it easy mo...you gotta take care of Bambi x
He is going to love it there & the houses are so much cuter than the ones in Oz.
I love your back garden :)
It's great you found a playgroup as well, are you missing Singapore at all?
Not in the slightest am I missing Singapoo! Only the friends I made :(
I didn't think you would be, it's always hard leaving friends behind.
At least your making new ones :)
Hey gorgeous old bags :P Am I the youngest? Or is that you MO? :)
Mo hope the flooding has gone now. And BIG BIG hugs and sticky vibes your way babe! Im here if you need to chat!
JM hmmm I have been RAKing but I am not telling you but if I would have known it would have made you a life member I would have rethought it  As for the 3yr old pushing boundaries, yup my little monkey is a right terror sometimes but he seems to be able to listen better too if that makes sense? He is so ready for kindy but wil wait till we move :) Hows your little bun cooking? Are you ahving baby here or os?
Jules am checking out your blog now :)
Saffi enjoy Melbourne hun :) How are your 2 little cuties going?
Trish how is your shop? the story about K and sunday school is so adorable!
Not much happening here except that we are hoping to move to the sunshine coast and buuy a bakery :) Dh went to our block the other day and decided he did not want to move there so now we are going to live on the coast instead :happydance: so thats my big secret! DH did not want me to talk about it but I have too cause I am soooo excited! More schools to choose from the beach on our doorstep! So that means I may not be coming to Melbourne though :( but we will see it may just be later in the year!
x
Amber that sounds perfect & i still hope you get to come to Melb.
M is at her 2nd Kinder day & she is loving it. The teaches are so nice & she has her fav teacher.
It's cute she walks in the door & goes running to the teacher, she is playing well with the other kids.
i really proud of how well she is doing :D
Kodi had another tanty thank goodness we have playgroup today at least she'll get to have a play with her friends.
I'm so proud of Maddi, she is moving up a class at swimming.
Which is a huge step for her. It's taken her a long time to gain confidence in the water & now she does everything she has by her self & she can go underwater & blow bubbles.
So as soon as a spot opens up for her she'll move up.
Hope everyone is well :D
Hi everyone!!!!!!
Well it has been about a million and 10 years since I popped in here, I have been very busy so much going on, just thought I would come on and say helloo to all you lovely ladies!!! Im sure I have missed out on a lot so update me on how you have all been!!
Mo I just saw you are expecting again!!!! WOOOOOO HOOO! Congratulations! How exciting! Its all early days is it? Wishing you sticky vibes !
AFM I am currently almost 27 weeks pregnnant again too! Dont know how I am going to go with 3 but I think I'll be fine cause Liam started prep this year so just have to get myself into a routine. I was soooooooo sad her was starting school but he has proven to be fine! Goes to show it is us mums who stress so much more than them. LOL. Sad to let go of my little baby though....
Another thing from me which I dont mind telling you girls (those of you who dont know anyway) ... When I was about 8 weeks pregnant I found out I have Thyroid Cancer. Had to have an op when I was 14 weeks old to remove half my thyroid, and now I have to have another op when bub is born, probably about 2 weeks old... Then the hardest part to come, I have to have radiotherapy, which measnI cant be around ANY of the kids for 9-10 days. :( I have absaluotely no ide ahow I am going to do that, my heart breaks thinking of leaving them. I have only been away from my oldest 2 for 2 days at a time, let alone a newborn, but I guess I am just goingto concerntrate on my pregnanyc and meeting my little bubba at the moment and think about that when I have to... So yeah 2010 was not a fantastci year for us, and I am sure 2011 is going to have its trying moments for me too but what can you do? Overall I am feeling very positive and lucky it was found when it was...
Hope u ladies are all going well!!! Will try very hard to stay in touch more often!!!
Mo Well done Maddi! Max doesn't want a bar of swimming lessons...sigh! He'd rather drum! How is Bambi?
Becky HI! So glad you came by! I've been following you on FB....How awful about cancer....evil stuff :(. You're always so positive though so I'm sure you will get through all of it with relative ease. I can't believe I was the same amount of 'pregnant' as you are last year, and now I have a little (almost) 9 month old to show for it! So precious!
AFM - we move this Thursday and I CAN'T WAIT! Max started drumming lessons on Saturday and he loved it. It was only a 15 minute lesson, and it took a while to get him warmed up, but he got there in the end, with a few words like 'SMASH it' and he was right! His teacher is a quiet gentle soul, so they understand eachother! I'm also looking up starting Max in Kindy (called Nursery here), so he'll start in September. I've shown him pics on the internet of the one I want to send him too and he seems excited (I showed him the pics of the kids watching the rubbish truck!!)
That is all...hope all is well
xxx
Go Maddi! How's all that bleeding and things going Mo?
Yules- Drumming is way cooler than swimming! Two more sleeps!
Becky- Wow, that sux. What a rough road you've been on. The isolation after the radiation treatment will be tough. :( Unfortunately cancer often surfaces during pregnancy, something to do with all the extra hormones. Can you make sure you take in a laptop and you can at least skype your family and fill the days in on the net. Chances are it may end up a little radioactive from your sweat, but they should be will be able to store it and monitor it until it reaches a safe level for you to pick up.
Still spotting/cramping but we did see a heartbeat last Fri :)
I see my Ob next Monday & hopefully Bambi still has a nice strong heartbeat.
Becky
Jules how exciting, it will be so nice having your place with a yard.
Ange how are the gorgeous L & S doing? Is S talking heaps now?
K is a real chatterbox & really cracks me up with some of the stuff she comes out with.
I still can't believe they'll be 2 in less than a month!
Amber how is Myles? I was so glad he did break anything it must of been so scary for you
Trish how are your little ones doing? is K still loving Kinder?
Well that's kind of good Mo. Constant spotting must be stressful though.
S is hilarious these days. The things she says really cracks me up sometimes. She talks a lot. Maybe more than L did?! She imitates L all the time which can be amusing. I am loving this almost 2 age. She is a real cruiser and nothing much bothers her, which makes life simpler. Lu on the other hand is tantrum central still! Although we have implemented the 123-magic book principles and it's working a treat. Cut the whinging and tantrums down a lot.
How'd the big move go Yules???
 Oh Mo that must be really stressfull! but YAY for a heart beat!!!!!
 Becky big hugs hun and congrats cant wait to hear all about your birth when the time comes!
Jules moving moving moving :) Hope your having fun! Drum lessons sound awesome!!!!!!
JM are you back in PNG?
All I can say is M is a total RATBAG at the moment! He is just out of control, he wont listen, he is continually hurting F, and the whingey voice is driving me insane...someone please take him away and give me back my old child....is anyone else experiencing this with their kids?
YES Amber. Testing me every minute and hurting her sister. Honestly get your hands on a copy of 123-magic. It really helps. I think there is some info on it on the main site here.
Yep back in the jungle. How's the business plans coming along?
