Can't believe I'm in a Baby Buddies thread! Just getting a first post in. Isla is totally gorgeous. We're having a few issues with feeding atm, and I've got a touch of the blues I think, but otherwise...omg I have a perfect, beautiful daughter!
Hey pz. Isla is very cute. Hope she is settling in.
We are still at the hospital. Go home on Tuesday. Hamish is doing fantastically. Breastfeeding is actually going well this time round. Had troubles with Noah so glad it's working this time. I too have had a touch of the blues. Keep crying about stupid things. Doesn't help that Hamish has decided his unsettled time is until 12am and I don't get any sleep from him between about 8 and 12. Really looking forward to getting home.
Hello. My bonnie baby belle, Lilac, was born on June 16. She was induced a little early because I had a dangerous liver thing called obstetric cholestasis, but she was ready to come. We left hospital a night early so I could be with my family who I missed. Like you, I have been a bit emotional at night and felt too lonely at hospital. Boy is it good to sleep in my bed again!
Breast feeding is going well, but I'm currently on mad lookout for early mastitis because it happened last time, but I think we got through rock-boobs without drama.
I'm so hungry all the time, so even though I only gained 7kgs during pregnancy and have just a little hint of a baby belly left, I am eating so much now I'll probably balloon. Oh well, I made the mistake last time of not getting enough sustenance so I'm happy to do what it takes this time for breastfeeding to go smoothly.
So happy to be posting in here
My 3rd little bubba was born friday 17th Hudson Lee
After a dramatic entrance we are happily settling into a busy routine
we had a pretty good night feed at 10:30 & 12:30 woke at 2:30 but i took him into bed with me and he slept til 6:30 so cant complain
my boobs are still big and sore but unlike with my daughter they dont seem to be overful so i havent expressed for relief yet
saw the midwife today and we are both doing well - he hasnt gained any weight but hasnt lost any weight either but he will get reweighed later this week
WOW! Mot your babys a legend sleeper!
Babys are so cute in the PP suits
Ladies- what do you do with the girly bits? I mean- I dont know if I should wash everything or just wipe the outside and leave the rest alone. The hospital put some thick cream inside her bits but its almost come off now and Im left wondering what to do.
And heat rash- anybody know a wonder cure for ugly red heat rash? Its so humid here any skin to skin contact leaves you sweating and her back/ neck and arms have this nasty rash. Im trying to air it as much as possible and have now started to use muslin between us at feeds.
Hope everybody else is going well and enjoying their bundles of joy.
Wonder who will join us over the weekend.
Hey ladies, thought I'd finally join the group My EDD was 4/6 so I never expected to be here!
Congrats everyone on your beautiful bubbas
My girl Annabelle Mary was born 16/6 after induction. Was a big baby (4.2kg) but no tears! We were discharged on Sunday, and since then she's gained 340g! She's now 100g above her birth weight, so looks like my little girl won't be little for long! The Community Midwife that visited and did the checks was very impressed lol.
Feeding is going fantastically and we've gotten the hang of settling her at night - up every 3 hours for half an hour last night, I'm happy with that
Hope you're all well, looking forward to getting to know you all!
Wow Kaytee- no tears! Lucky ducky
MOT- love the name Hudson, its really yummy
PZ- how you goin love?
Tara- How is everything now your home?
Is anybody else enjoying the double nappy changes?
Just when you think they have finished pooping, you've waited afew extra mins, just to be sure, you change their nappy, fix the last velcro fastener and they poop a little more
Lol DT, DD hasn't done that yet, but she did a lovely poop while enjoying some naked tummy time on the scales yesterday! She also loves to wee on the changetable right after the nappy has come off - gets on her clothes and everything!
Oh Kuriaza!
Im holding off on the MCNs til shes about a month and hopefully into more of a poop cycle- if they ever do that really.
Im so hungry all the time- does this go? I have between 10 and 15kg to lose to get back to normal size and really dont wanna balloon out any more
Sophie is a reflux baby. DH is out hunting for meds for her as we speak. DS1 was the same and still suffers abit. Poor little girl, the milk just streams out her nose and mouth. Better hunt down my front pack for her- looks as though she'll be in that a lot- bugger it summer here. Front pack in a humid 30-38C oh yay!
Kaytee- my 19month old daughter still pees everytime her nappy is off, but hopefully your little princess outgrows it lol
DT- thanks (so many people flinched when he announced his name lol) i choose it to fit into our name theme lol
Kaytee- your daughter sounds so big (sorry) i thought my first son was big at 3.940(which on my frame is quite big)4
Sophie is on her 2nd sucking blister. It doesnt seem to worry her.
She also has a big unsettled period each night from about 9pm- 10/11pm (just when everybody is desparte for sleep) crys, feeds, pulls off, burps/pukes, feeds, screams. Hope that sorts it self out soon
PZ- how you feeling love?
JM and Kitten how you guys going?
K- did the bricks elevating the bassinette help? we have ours raised at 1 end too
Looks like we'll be seeing Anila soon- congrats hun
