We do dinner, bath, cup of milk and a cuddle and then bed and we do it every night so he knows whats happening next...
We do that too, only Milo still wants his milk in a bottle at night and throws the cup away screaming. Of late he has been asleep before he's finished drinking it.

When we do have periods where he is awake at bed time and not impressed, I read him a story in his cot (I lie him back down each time he stands up), say good night an go out. Sometimes he will be asleep before I finish the story. Sometimes he will be standing in his cot screaming.

I usually give him a minute or so and go back in. I can tell when he is more likely to go to sleep, cos he will lie down himself instead of me having to do it. When he does that I will often sit next to his cot and pat him softly and sing, or shhh him. Then I'll stop patting and just sit there for a while getting quieter, and then walk out. Sometimes it takes 5 mins, sometimes 25. Our record is 45. I am not wanting to repeat or surpass that one any time soon.

Dani - in regards to the immunisation payment - your MCHN should notify medicare/FAO/centrelink. I don't know if you need to apply or if they send it automagically - but it should be on the centrelink website somewhere.

Milo is yet to have his chicken pox shot, as I want to get it done on a Saturday so that he has 4 days at home before he has to go to creche, and so I can watch him for the 2 days (sat/sun) JIC. So he should get it on Jun 23 as thats the next sat they are having them.

Oh you poor thing...That must be hard...Louis has put himself to sleep for ages now...we just put him in give him his dummy and his blanket and walk out...
If he doesn't go straight to sleep now he just yells out "mum or dad" and we go back in and lie him down and walk out again...
I'm sure it will just be a stage and it will improve soon...

Hi girls, Hope everyone is doing well. Those little ones are growing up so fast aren't they? And wow they make me clucky again (doesn't take much these days to make me clucky!). Keep your fingers crossed for me please. I've had what I suspect is implantation dip and then next evening I (last night) I had some spotting. I so want this to be it....I want a HUGE family full of love and laughter!

I believe I've missed a birthday or 2 over the last few days. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY WISHES!

Cindy - It's not fun whent he munchkins want to be boss. Benjamin goes gets his own shoes on and hat, and gets on a chair and attempts to open the back door. Thankfully the sliding bolt is quite hard to slide and you have to pull the door while you slide it to get it open. I'm really not enjoying his tantrums.

Katkins - Long time no hear! Good luck with the maybe baby...

Kristie - Well done Louis on the talking...

Dani - OUCH! Bee stings can get quite nasty, especially if you don't know if they'll be allergic to them. Thankfully your little one was ok.

Nikki - I think nerves get the better of us all...always look on the brighter side of life, because the person next to you may be as equally as nervous as you are.

I had to take Benjamin to the doctors the other day for medication for the cold he has. He just sounded awful. Only the antibiotics they put him on, really don't sound like they've done the trick yet. The doctor had to weigh him and we thought wha tthe heck and measured him too. 14.6kgs and 91.5cms tall. Seems as though his height is starting to even out the weight a bit better. Another thing is, we're in the stage where he won't eat much except meat for dinner. He used to be a big vege eater and now, he sticks his nose up at them, even to pasta now also. I hope it's just a passing phase for him, a very quickly passing one.

    Hi!

Went to the gym this morning - I'm going to be soo sore tomorrow. I feel good for going though (especially after not getting a great sleep last night!)

Kerrie - I'm so glad you guys are going well! Good luck!

Melissa - Hope Benjamin gets better soon! Wow he's such a big boy!! Oh no about dinners - we haven't had a fussy eater as yet so I'm hoping we can avoid it - LOL! Hopefully it's a short stage...what happens if you just put veggies on his plate?? maybe with an omelette/boiled eggs for protein or something...

Well i certainly have missed out on heaps, where to start???
Jordan and I are fine, back working PT again so feeling great about spending time with him one on one during the day. We had a great arvo at playgroup and he has crashed in bed so gave me time to clean up a bit.
Jordan is getting better with his playing with other kids which is great. he followed a little girl around at playgroup today and copied what she did. He is getting there, not so much a loner anymore

Krisite YAH for getting back into the gym. The pain will be worth it and I am sure you will back to where you want to be (weight wise) in no time. You look fantastic already. WOW 3 word sentences, Louis certainly is clever. Good to see that DH apologised, its hard for men to do that!

Cindy NO MOVING TO QLD! you are SO not allowed to. Yeah on the 5 hrly feeds thats great. How nice of your mum to take Tori for the day to give you some quiet time. LOL on the house being clean, it doesnt take long to mess up again though does it? It only needs a DH and a toddler You will be studying again in no time I am sure of it.

Nikki I hope school went well this week, I am sure your brain will love the stimulation. Hope Harry is doing better poor little munchkin. We will also be coming to your BBQ. I think I will bring some dessert then, I will get Jamie to make it. Cant wait to catch up with everyone again.

Rachel Thats so sweet your read to Milo before bed. I have to get out quick smart of he will stand up and want to play. Tell your DH not to worry, Jamie also hasnt met the other husbands, apart from Al so they are in similar position. I think its hard for men to socalise when they dont know the people.

Kerry OH i hope this is a BFP for you, fingers crossed. Good to hear from you and see all is well.

Missy Yeah we will have to be Belly buddies, so heres hoping its our time soon.

Melissa WOW Benjamin is a tall little feller, I hope he feels better soon.

Well I hope you are all having a nice day, think I might turn the heater on soon to try and dry the clothes, I hate winter and clothes horses, they make the house messy.

Cindy - I hope it heals quickly. I've still got a scar on my shoulder from where a doctor years ago took out a mole to have it tested. It wasn't cancerous, but you've made me think about getting mine rechecked again sometime soon, only because I've had a few sore ones.

Kristie - Well, the night before last, dh informs me, he couldn't keep his veges away from Benjamin, he scoffed heaps of them. I think he's decided that they look good to eat again. Yay! He likes scrambled eggs, but won't eat them hard boiled or sunny side up. He's a bit like his me on that one, I prefer them scrambled, but I do enjoy a hard boiled egg from time to time.

Melissa, I read in your post that Benjamin is over 90cm tall?
Which child restraint do you use, cos I am having trouble with Milo's and he is only 85cm.

hope every one is well.i have just completed my first 2 days at uni.it was good but it is going to be very hard work, there is alot of maths involved as we need to know how to calculate the methods used for medications.i have to have a 100% pass rate though to pass so it is a bit intense.

    Hi!

Had our 6w check up today. All is well...I'm fine and Dylans all healthy although she thinks his little spots are actually eczema...hopefully he just grows out of it. I'd hate to think he'll have allergies or something causing it....
Louis is well - we had such a big day today out and about shopping and he only ended up with a 30min sleep in the car and then going to bed at nearly 8pm!! He'll probably be cranky as tomorrow...Ended up buying him a b'day present to put away (It was a bargain - LOL) and some sheets for his bed. Bright green and blue.
Actually, I'm not far off bed myself...

Tracey - Glad works settled down now! Yeah..It feels good to get out of the house and do some exercise. I've got a few kg to go!! The boys are going into creche tomorrow morning at the gym for an hour. I think Louis will love it just playing with some new toys and some new kids. LOL - I agree on winter and the house being messy! I also put them over the ducted heater vents as well so there are clothes everywhere!!

Cindy - Big hugs - I hope it feels better soon...Sounds really ouchy. Hope you got a good sleep! Dylan fed last night 6.40/1.10am/6.45am! Woohoo! But he's super unsettled tonight so making up for it...

Melissa - Glad Benjamins eating his veggies!

Nikki - Glad schools going well! Wow...sounds hard - I'm sure you'll do just fine though!!! It will be great to catch up on Monday with everyone!
By the way...Finally picked up the nappies the other day!! Thanks sooo much!! Dylans just finished his newborn nappies so it's perfect timing!

    K - off to bed!

Hi guys, Sorry I've been AWOL. We've been having computer problems. We recently bought a new computer and printer and apparently there are teething probs with our set up. Stoopid us! Anyhoo we seem to be doing ok with it at the moment. he eh

Not much to report with us. Gussy is still refusing all food and drink etc. We are still tube feeding and offering food at appropriate meal times, which he just plays with, or completely rejects. He's still throwing up multiple times each day and suffering bad pains from reflux etc but in spite of this is managing to grow pretty well, for him. Must be all the food we stuff into him overnight while he's sleeping! Gus is now 76cm tall and 8.53kg. I am so proud of him. I know it's tiny compared with some of the other October toddlers (esp the boys), but he's ok. There are some advantages of being small. I can still wash him in the kitchen sink if needed (eg when he gets all muddy etc in the yard and I'm to lazy to give him a shower or bath) and I can carry him around on my hip when I'm shopping. This is especially handy in the supermarket. He refuses to stay in the trolley and can undo the seat belts and tries to climb out of the trolley. His absolute goal in the supermarket is to run wild and climb the shelves (literally)! Of course I don't allow it, but tis not easy. He's a climbing demon. I found him on the kitchen bench this morning. He just seems to be able to scale almost verticle walls. It is much scarier now than it used to be when he had his helmet to protect him. Not sure whether I've mentioned that he no longer has to wear his helmet... It's not because his head is now perfect, but because it was no longer working speedily enough to correct the areas that most need it. We are going to watch him for a while and see how his head develops without the helmet's help before we decide what to do next. Might be ok on it's own or he might need surgery. Now his hair is growing thicker it helps to disguise it. The helmet kind of worked like and exfoiliator so it will be interesting to see what happens with his hair growth and texture now he's not getting it rubbed constantly. he he. I've been using electric clippers and keeping his hair really short. Might think about growing it a bit to see whether he still has curls.

BTW, We are still keeping the pics etc on his totsite up to date, however we were getting spam coming through on the site, so we have made it password protected. Happy for you guys to have a look, if you're interested. P/w monkey. Feel free to post in our guestbook, if you feel like it. xx

I've missed heaps of your posts, so will now spend Gussy's sleep time catching up. BBL

Went swimming lessons today which was fun. It was nice to see how much he has changed in the water since I last took him swimming. He is still lazy and doesnt kick much but he is able to go on his own with his floaty pack and arms floaties. So proud of him.
We got home and had nuggets for lunch and he is now in bed. He was falling asleep which chewing on the nugget, very cute.

Krisite WOW getting bday pressies already, cant miss a bargain though. Great to hear all went well at the check up.
Cindy hope you are feeling better today. How is Tori and her shoes going?
Nikki glad you had a good time a school. I have every confidence in you that you will do great in the course. You are so incredicable to take this on with all the other stuff you have going on, house 4 kids and a husband. SUPER WOMEN i think!
Rachel How tall is Milo now? are the straps in the car seat getting too low? can you move them up another notch? Maybe you can move him to the full length booster seat?
Melissa great to hear Benajmin ate all his vegies. Hope that the end of the fussy stage.
    Kerrie any news?
Kirsty SO nice to hear from you. Thats great news about the helmet, I bet Gus is relieved to have it off. LOL about carrying him around still and bathing in the sink. I cant remember what it was like to have a little light boy, Jordan has been heavy since forever Are they giving you things to try to encourage Gus's eating?
Well off to watch prison break which I missed last night. Take care XX

Kirsty - Hi!! Glad you guys are going well. Wow on Gussy climbing so much!! Would definitley be keeping you on your toes! Hopefully he will do great without the helmet and not need the surgery!

Tracey - Yeah at Jordan doing great with swimming! LOL at him falling asleep at lunch!

Cindy - I'll see you tomorrow morning?? I'll get there as close to 10 as I can but I can see it more likely being 10.30am! hehehe.

Nikki I am not sure if you got my sms earlier but I had a thought..... did you want me to take Chantelle to dorothy dance party with me on tuesday while you are at school? I am happy to have her for the day if you didnt mind, or I can drop her at your child care centre afterwards? Let me know what you think. Its a shame for her to miss out.

Just watched show on alcatraz, what a scary prison. Off to bed now, I am knackered. Night night

Jirsty - sounds like you and my tori would be hell together with thier climbing! Its so scary when you walk into a room and they are on top of something!

    Kristy- i will see you tomorrow10 - 10.30 ish.

I am really worried about how much to express to leave for charlotte! I left her with al today while i went back to the dentist and she drank the 200mls i had expressed and then screamed the house down for an hour till i got home and put her on the boob! I think that thats a bit excessive to drink that much do you guys? i have 3 bottles for mum to give her tomorrow , all with 150 in them and i am hoping they do the trick, atleat tomorrow is just a test run and i can go home if she needs me! I dont know what to do about it, i will have to see how she goes tomorrow and then work out what to do. I might have to not go back to work yet, maybe wait till she is 6 months and on solids and less feeds? Otherwise look at going the formula way! I dont have to go back to work financially although it would help out a bit but i rally like my job and miss my day of being me in business mode which is what i do best.

CHarlotte had her first shots today and has not let me put her down since untill now, so i must go get some rest while i can!

Tracey - i will be picking your brain monday about expressing etc, you seemed to be able to do it well and make it work for you guys! How nice of you to offer to take chantelle to dorothy.

    NIGHT!!

    Night all
