Gee its so quiet in here! Is everyone on facebook instead these days???
NOt much is happening here, we are cleaning the house up coz they have a open house for the rental tomorrow afternoon so we figured we would try to get some packing done and take it over to mums house but that means we have a very messy house with everything from my tupperware room being pulled out!
Went shopping this morning and got charlotte some propper shoes and she is walking so much better now - i forgot to pack the pusherthough and i found out that my little baby has a temper and a half! She cracked it cos i wouldnt let them have a 3rd turn on the hi5 ride and so she threw her dummy and kicked and screamed! Little ****e! she then later threw the banana smoothie which made a nice mess!
Rachael- hows the house plans going? have you got your place on the market yet?
Kristie-have you had more people through?
GTG- bath time! Actually that reminds me of my bath with the girls the other night and tori telling me i had a huge 'jina'- bigger than dads! and then charlotte, who was out ofthe bath kept leaning over the side to grab my nipple! Then tori told me that i had huge nipples! Gee i wa feeling great after that- lucky she didnt start on my belly!
-
Hi!
LOL at Charlottes tantrum...well you know what I mean...I wouldn't dare have Dylan out of the pram or trolley while we're out! You know how quick he is getting away!
Bugger at having open for inspection tomorrow - at least it doesn't really matter cos it's not your place!!!!
Was meant to have people through yesterday and they cancelled - grrr - so no. Having Ofi tomorrow at 12pm but then they called up to bring someone through at 10.30am - what a pain in the butt. I was going to get all the housework done in the morning...Oh well - if it's not done when they get through too bad.
Oh no at your bath! What a confidence boost! When I had a bath with the boys the other week I could see Louis having a good look at everything but he didn't say anything!! LOL!
I think I'm going to tidy the kitchen and curl up in bed with a magazine! Haven't done that in ages!
-
nikki I can get rid of the 3 tickets for you I dont think they will mind if 1 is infront of the other. If you want me to ask them if they still want them let me know. I also put the money into your account for you tonight.
Well Liam did exceptionally well today with his feeds. He went 5.5 hrs from 4-9.30 I am hoping he might repeat this for the next feed so I am not up at 1.30 (although I am not minding tv in the middle of the night, thanks to foxtel)
Jordan also went the entire day with no accidents and we were at the shps for most of it. He went to the toilet at the shops and didnt go again till we got home. I was so proud.
We went on shopping spre for the boys. We bought SO much stuff (all clothes) We spent $130 in target and about $100 in best and less. We got some gorgeous outfits.
CIndy LOL at the girls commenting on your bits.....its a little funny. Oops over the tanti though I am sure you can laugh about it now though. Its never funny whilst its happening.
OKoff to bed have my brothers wedding tomorrow so better get some rest so I dont havebags under my eyes.

I finished my level 2 first aid course today! yay. It was today and yesterday, and work paid which was a bonus.
I reckon my work has an unsually hight percentage of qualified first aiders, there would be at least 40% of the employees if not more.
Cindy - they poured the slab this morning and we are meeting with our site manager (who we've nicknamed XXX the dodgy site manager based on a friends experience) on Tuesday morning to go over the plans, timelines etc.
Also dads friend does site inspections on large projects, and has offered to come along to all of our stage inspections. He said if anything is outside the guidelines he should be able to spot it, and we shouldnt make our stage payments until the problems have been fixed (This is wher the 'dodgy site manager ' comes in. Someone I know had the same guy as us and still had unresolved problems that had been identifed months earlier, when they got the keys!)
So thats a huge relief that there will be someone who knows what to look for!
A valuer is coming over on 1st July to look at the house. I want it on the market and to be sold, and us renting ASAP as is will be a lot easier on the finances, but am worried about being able to get a short term rental, so might have to look at a 6 month settlement or something like that - I guess I will talk to the RE guy about it when he comes.
Milo has been watching a tv show called 'in the night garden' and is a bit obsessed. MIL said he is mesmorised by it (normally he just lets it go on in the background except the wiggles) so I got him some of the books and he loves them.
Kristie, I think I need some letter/alphabet books where the kids can trace letters, do you have anything like that in the range (Im thinking DK probably). Milo knows most of his letter and can pick out the right one if we ask him, and tells us words that start with that sound, so I figure I should be encouraging him.
Dora - Im getting tix to that tomorrow morning, SIL wants to take her nephew so we will go together cos the kids are the same age and get along really well, well as much as kids do!
okay, sore neck..its still not 100%. off to have my scrabulous move then bed.
-
does anyone know about what happened to the 2 toddlers on the news and the mother being a bb member, what happened who was she?
-
no? I havent heard anything about it? What was it?
-
Hi!
Well, we only had 2 people through our OFI today but 1 of them came back a couple of hours later for a second look so I assume thats a good sign...I so hope they put an offer in!
Tracey - Glad you had a good day with the boys! Ooh I hope your brothers wedding went well! How fun! I haven't been to a wedding in ages! Yeah at shopping as well!
Rachael - Thats great your work paid for first aid training! I really should do something like that...I have no clue...
Yeah at your slab being poured - how exciting! Thats so nice you've got someone to go over it with you - an expert eye is always as good thing in that situation! I hope it all goes smoothly for you though!
With regard to renting - I wouldn't tell them you want a short term rental...there's such a demand for them at the moment I would be surprised if you'd find something...It's easy to get out of rental contracts - you usually just have to pay a week or 2 extra to give them time to find someone else...check with your real estate agent of course but we did it when we were renting in Bayswater and we finished it early...
LOL - I'm so not a fan of in the night garden! I think it's crap but my boys like it as well...I always turn it over (does that make me a bad mum? LOL)
Yep - we do have some great books - they can use like a whiteboard marker and then wipe it off and do it again! Louis loves it and does some really good letters now! Did you have a catalogue still? Do you want me to send one so you can have a look?
Yeah at going to Dora...I'll just have to see how the finances go at the moment...
Nikki - Yes, I stayed up last night reading the thread on it...yep - it used to be a mum on BB but that was when she was a nice mum if that makes sense...It's soooo sad and heartbreaking....the details are awful. Kelly has removed all her posts and links to baby photos etc now...too many people were doing searches apparently...
I know they've been charged with counts of torture and murder I think???? Something like that...There's a thread in the news/current affairs section...
It is just so sad and awful...the poor babies...how could anyone do that to their kids...Apparently they weighed only 3.5/4kg when they were found...urgghh...the suffering they must have gone through is to hard to think about...
I do find it odd though that no-one realised something was wrong...The dad - living in the same house - said he hadn't seen them for 6 months - WTF?????
Anyway...I'm going to stop now as I'll just rant and rave about it....
Having a quiet night tonight....Chat later!
-
yes i found the thread her name was cheeki28 did any of you chat with her,i cant recall ever posting with her but she was active when we were all prg with our last babies, she was also prg with her twins.
i am having a very hard time emotionally after reading about it all.nikki
-
No Nikki, I never chatted with her I don't think...
I just find it all so hard to comprehend...there seems to be so many unanswered questions as to how it could happen...
Those poor babies...
-
I too cant beleive anyone could do that to their kids especially someone from this site. I guess something drastic must have happened in their lifes to end up doing this to their kids. I cant comprehend how anyone could cause their kids any suffering.
On a lighter note, my brothers wedding went well yesterday. The boys were so well behaved. Jordan didnt have a day sleep and did really well. Liam just slept thru the entire day unless he was being fed.
Liam has been doing so well with his feeds, he is now going 4-5 hrs, he even went 6 hrs overnight last night I was rapted.
Jordan is doing so well with TT also. He spent the day in undies yesterday and didnt have any accidents. I am so pleased with his progress.
hope you all have a nice night ladies.
-
Tracey - Glad you had a good time at your brothers wedding! Yeah that the boys have been so good for you!
We had a great day today - headed to my friends house and the kids had a ball - jumping in puddles with their gumboots and in with the chickens - Louis even patted one all on his own - he's not scared of animals at all! Then off to inspect the vegie garden - all very cute! Dylan was playing with some grapefruits throwing them in a big tub of water - I was right there - but it got out of his reach bit and he tipped himself right over- luckily we moved quick and he only ended up with his arms a bit in the water - it was so cold he would have frozen if he fell in completely - I swear he's going to give me grey hairs! LOL!
They were really good though and are such little helpers...they pack up all the toys and Louis loves to set the table and Dylan has to close the dishwasher and press the button to get it started. So cute!
I'm going to make the most of it while they enjoy it - LOL!
Dylans got some new words now as well like ball and door so I think he's starting to get there!
They both slept on the way home and were exhausted...It was such a nice day out!
Hope you all had a good weekend! Chat later!
-
Krisite, sounds like you and the boys had a really fun day!! Getting outside is so much fun, but doesn't happen very often these days hey!! Bring on summer I say!!
Tracey, and sounds like you guys had a great time at the wedding... And what good boys for being so well behaved!
Rachael, wow the slab is down already!! It will go really fast now... Jack absolutely loves In the Nightgarden too and knows all the little creatures by name as well!! I'm going to have to get some of the books for him!
And hope your neck gets better soon too..
Cindy, yeah, I think I am on facebook too much sometimes too..oh well it's so addictive.!
And what a cheeky Cha Cha with her tantrums!! Toby is starting to have a few now when I take stuff away from him! I just laugh at him..
Nikki, thanks for a lovely morn hun and the boys had a ball playing with their new friends!! They are cheeky hey! Toby was asleep as soon as I turned out of your street and Jack conked it on the highway!! And they are still asleep now!! YAY!! Mummy time!
Anyway, seeing as both boys are still asleep, I should get some food and get ready as I have to work in 45 mins...
Talk soon..
-
Neil went home sick from work today, so he drove past our block (again) and said they're already started to put the frame up. I thought they left the slab to settle for a bit before doing that? Is it normal for it to go up within 3 days of pouring the slab?
Milo is swearing a lot, I dont kow if anyone saw my other thread but its driving me crazy. he keeps saying f-it. I've tried telling him we dont talk like that, but that makes it worse so I might try rhyming it, like I think he is saying bucket or something like that. I spoke to his daycare about it, they said he hasnt done it there.
Hes done something though cos at lunch on the weekend he threw a pear across the room and said 'Ashlee says no. dont do that milo' Will have to follow that one up and see what he's doing. I thought they would have told us if he was being naughty enough to get told off.
-
Rach I am not sure what to do about the swearing. I think ignoring it is prob the best idea as he may stop if it doesnt get a reaction.
Jordan has copied me a few times when I have said the F word. He hasnt said it on his own accord though, thank goodness. He has started to cut out his day sleeps though, today he didnt have one. He fell asleep eating his dinner which was funny at 6.40. I think we will need to eat dinner earlier in future so he gets thru the meal. I am upset he is cutting out the sleep however it did make it easier when we went out and about yesterday so I guess it has it pros and cons. He is still having one when he is tired but I am not forcing the issue, I am not wanting to make it a fight.
hope everyone is well
take care

Hi!
Rachael - not sure about the frame on a slab...I'd say 3 days would be enough though - I doubt they'd risk doing anything too dodgy...
Oh no that Milo's swearing...Yeah I'd probably ignore it, but I know how hard it is...the rhyming things probably a good idea as well...hopefully he'll stop soon...
Tracey - Bugger at Jordan not sleeping...he prob will for the rest of the week though just to catch up...Louis has been tired at the moment and is having one most days (although not today) more so if we've been out and then he falls asleep in the car...he's getting better at just having a shorter nap though so it hasn't affected his night sleep yet...I guess it's just a transitional age...
I must say - I do like not having to worry about day sleeps when we're out though - so convenient!
Alex - Hi!
Big w toy catalogue is online today and the cheeky buggers haven't put prices on - grrr! I've written a wish list so far and Michael nearly had a heart attack...obviously somethings will be ruled out once I see how expensive they are - LOL! I'm so excited!
-
speaking of buying things for the kids, Jamie just bid on and won a cubby house on ebay. We had looked at one at the showgrounds yesterday but thought it was a little expensive. He just put a bid to see how he would go and won.... OOPS so now we have to change the backyard around to accomodate it.
LOL, the boys will love it though
-
Awww a cubby will be great Tracey! Michaels going to build one when we get a house! I can't wait!
-
Great Tracey!! Yeah cubbies are the best! Nick just built the boys one for christmas last year cause we saw the price of them!! And they just LOVE it to bits! Toby just sits in the sandpit at the bottom and Jack is all over it!! I think there is a pic of it on my facebook photos.. Is it a single or double storey one Trace?
-
Wow on everyone getting cubbies at the moment - thats one of the first things we want to do once in the new place.
We are starting to stress about our lease at the moment - they have had nobody put in applications on the place and we have to pay the rent untill someone takes the lease over! I sooo hope we dont end up having to pay the rent PLUS the new mortgage! That will just kill us!
Better get some Tupperware parties going again!
-
Cindy - thats crazy! Are they really able to do that? We just broke our lease and had to pay 2 weeks extra...
-
Yeah you have to pay it till its re-leased or untill your contract is up (whichever comes first) our lease is untill march next year so that better not bloody happen! Plus you pay advertising fees too!
Hows your house going? Any offers put in yet?
-
Nup...spoken to the real estates the whole backside has dropped out of the market...one said that we should get rid of it after end of financial year...Just in case we have a plan of what will happen if we're here when bubs arrives...not much of a plan really but will just mean the baby will sleep in a bassinette at night in the lounge like Dylan did until it moves into the cot and then we'll get a trundle for under Louis' bed for Dylan....I so hope it doesn't come to it but at least we have an idea of what we'll do! LOL!
I can't believe all of that with your place...thats crap - I'm sure someone will take it though - I thought there was a huge demand for rentals??
-
this is making me so depressed about selling our house. I've have thought from the beginning that it would take a long time to sell, even before the market started to go downhill.
I just know that we're going to have to sell if for less than its worth just so that its sold in time and we have any chance of getting a rental, which sux cos the whole reason we are selling it is to make some money so I can have maternity leave and we can TTC number 2. We could actually rent it out for 230ish a week but its making both mortgage payments in between moving out of ours and moving in to the new place that would be the killer, I just dont think we could afford to do it.
-
i thought there was a demand too! Which by the way is why we didnt tell them straight away after signing mortgage papers etc- didnt want to be there to long with people coming though all the time.
We havethe owner coming over tomorrow to have a look at th place and see what he can do to make it look bigger than it is! My guess is that he cant do anything but he can come have a look for sure!
-
Urgghhh - we're all going to be in tough spots I think!! Who would have thought 6 months ago that it would turn like this??? Geez...it's amazing what the 11th interest rate rise will do to the market...LOL!
Here's hoping it all turns out great for all of us!!
-
I'm with you on that one Kristie! It has to work out!
-
Hi All, been MIA for a while. Trying to get life sorted. Had another hospital stay 2 weeks ago for 2 weeks. Got really sick and ended up intubated and in critical care but, I've come through it and I'm still here, and that's the main thing.
Seems the world's still been turning in here rather well too. Great to see
Tracey - Congrats and welcome to little Liam.
Racheal - Benjamin likes to watch "In the night garden" too. Only moment I get half an hour peace. lol. Benjamin has been horrid with a 4 letter F word here lately too. If something goes wrong out it comes. Pity the word fork when he says it is pretty similar, so we try and get him to pronounce it better. I cringe everytime he says the other word, thankfully it's only been at home not anywhere else he's said it. He's quite the little parrot too...
So how is everyone else? I've miss you all so much :(
BTW - I turned 29 yesterday, I can't believe I'm nearly 30...
Hope to read more from you all very soon
Melissa
-
oh Cindy, Kristie and Rach I hope your house plans sort themselves out. I cant imagine how stressful all that would be.
Krisite atleast you do have a back up plan if you are still in the house when bubs arrives.
Alex its only a single storey cubby it has a verandah though which is cute. I will have to check out pics of the boys in the cubby
well this morning was a little hectic, with a tired Jordan who didnt want to do anything and sooked all morning and Liam who didnt want to sleep. Well finally at 1pm I had them both in bed and managed to get a little nanna nap in myself.
We are going out for tea again tonight for Jamies best friends bday, chinese, yummy I love getting their banquet. We are going to have mum look after Jordan as he has been out and about a bit too much at night the last couple weeks. We also have Jamies dad bday thursday so no doubt we will be there will late that night also.
Only 1 week and 1 day till i can drive again I cant wait.
take care everyone

Oh Melissa we posted at the same time, Happy Birthday and I am sorry to hear you have had a rough time being in hospital. I am glad you are ok though
-
Hi!
Melissa - Happy Birthday I hope you were spoilt! ...omg I'm so sorry you've been through such a scary time! I'm sooo glad you're ok!!!
Tracey - Are you up for a visit over school holidays?? I'm free anytime because all of the activities stop which will be nice!! I can't believe I haven't met Liam yet...So sorry...I've been so caught up in my own little world of late...I can't wait to catch up with you all though!
The cubby sounds soo cute!
It's so hard when they both don't want to sleep - glad they did eventually though - good on you for having a nap as well!!
Was thinking of taking Louis to see Kung fu Panda over the holidays...I think he'd sit through it but I'd have to leave Dylan at home...he would be a nightmare...hehe.
-
Happy birthday for yesterday Melissa :)
I havent met Liam yet either.
I will have a few tuesdays off in late august/september, but other than that no weekdays. :( I might talk to mum and nut out the dates (my parents are going on a month long cruise to Canada & Alaska so I'll have some days off work with Milo while they are away) and organise to meet up maybe?
-
Rachael...I know you mentioned a while ago about organising another dinner...not sure if I replied...
We should really try and do that soon...I think you said for about August if it suits everyone...
I'm just going to throw it out there so we can start negotiations:
Friday 16th August - Location???
Also, what was the date we were going to do the kids birthdays on again??? I can't remember...
-
Hey chickadees
Count me out for anything in August at this stage -you guys catch up though!
The date in Oct was the 19th I think.
Everyone keep August the 24th free- we are having our housewarming and i am having a linnen party the same time- the boys can take all the kids to the park over our back fence and we can concentrate on the linen chick.
Melissa - sorry to hear you are having such a run of things at the moment. HAPPY BIRTHDAY though! The big 30 is not so far away for you now!
-
We can't do it without you Cindy! Lets move on to September!
Friday 12th September...
Shall pop the 24th Aug in my diary! Can't wait to see your new place!!
-
holy moly you guys can talk.
gosh where do i start.....
first of all...Melissa are you alright that must have been so scary, what happened to you are you going to be ok now.did you ever find out what happened to the plumbing at your meeting with the hospital, that would have been hard being away from benjamin for 2 weeks,i hope dh was a tremendous help.Happy birthday, gosh 29,i wish, your still a young chicky babe.
tracey.OH NO!!!! i cant beleive jordan has decided against day sleeps,i remember how firm you were about him keeping his day nap and he has now decided when you really NEED him to have a sleep now that liam is here that he doest want to.i hope it is just a faze.
are we going to the paly center tomorrow,if i dont here from you tonight i will message in morning.
kristie.GOOD LUCK for the scan tomorrow,i cant wait to hear all about your baby girl/boy.
Cindy i too agree, dinner has to be one with all of us there,THAT IS THE RULES!!!!!! september is good for me for dinner.we will keep august 24th free for you for the house warming ok.
racheal, grant said the slab is cured after 3 days and that framing is safe to do,dont stress!
as for milo swearing that is hilarious.mmmm i wonder where he heard that from, chantelle dropped her dinner the other night and said f...ing hell.we have just ignored our children swearing.
we took corey for his second appointment with the child pshycologist today,he has called grant and me back next tuesady, first he is meeting with coreys teacher and a pediatrician and other specialists to work out what they think from there findings but he already hinted to us that there are signs of ADHD.i bought a book yesterday and have found it very useful.
ummm,i think that is all for now.
nikki
-
Wow Nikki... I didnt' realise that you had issues like that with Cory...he always seems like such a good kid (the times that I've seen him - LOL) I hope it all gets sorted and you get some solutions...
LOL at Chantelle swearing!
Thanks - I'm sooo excited! I've got butterflies...obvioulsy I'm just hoping to see a healthy baby but I'm dying to know if it's a boy or a girl...I've got a few people hassling me hoping it's a girl so they can offload clothes etc (which I'm not complaining about) but I still think it will most likely be a boy...appts not until 3.30pm tomorrow so I shall send a text message when we find out....I'm sure tomorrow will drag but at least we've got Kinder in the morning - they're having a teddy bears picnic so Louis has to go in his pj's and bring a teddy and they're having some party food...it's going to be soooo cute, I must remember the camera!
Chat later!
-
Nikki sorry no play centre tomorrow as Nadine is sick and I still cant drive so cant get out the house with the boys. I am getting used to Jordan not sleeping every day now, he does maybe every second day. I hope the doc can assist and sort thru your problems with Corey I am glad you have found the book helpful.
Kristie I am up for visitors anytime over the holidays as everything stops. Mondays prob out though as Jamie is home and we generally do family stuff. I cant wait to find out what you are having, I know you will be rapted with either sex.
Rach Lets try and make it a day when you are free as I would love to catch up all together. We can do it somewhere central if you like, maybe a playcentre if you all dont want to travel out to my place.
CIndy I will try and keep date free, I always seem to miss your parties and dont want to miss this one.
well take care ladies I am off to bed as last feed for the night has been done and LIam is asleep ( or so I think, its all quiet in there :) I will check soon)
XX
-
Cant wait to hear your news tomorrow Kristie!
Tracey - you better not miss this one!
-
Kristie, Good luck for your scan 2morrow!! Can't wait to hear the news too!! Hope Louis has fun at his pj party... Jack is having a pj party at daycare 2moro too!! What a coincidence!! And what a bonus, we don't have to dress them!!YAY!
Nikki, hope you get your answers for Corey and glad you've got a book to help you understand stuff..
Cindy, I'll keep the 24th free too, and can't wait to see your new house either! And I'm free whenever so Sept is fine.. Yeah we all have to be there for dinner!! I'm sure we'll find a time to suit us all!!
Tracey, not to long till you're able to drive now!! And at least Jordan still sleeps every second day! He might need to catch up from the day before! But I bet he's in bed early of a night though! That's always a bonus yeah!!
Well I'd better get to bed, feeling mighty tired now! I drove out to Bayswater this morn at about 9am to visit another friend from BB and didn't get home till 3pm!! Jack and Toby had a great time playing with her kids and was great to catch up too.. They even slept all the way home, so I had a lovely peaceful drive!! Hehe
Nick is out at work atm, on call I think, in Ringwood and will be home in the wee hours of the morn! He only just left at 10pm after hounding me for some sex!!
So he'll prob be home 2morrow and that will mean me getting nothing done!
Anyway talk soon girls..
-
Kristie - Good luck with your scan. I'm sure everything will be ok.
Nikki - My SIL looked after Benjamin most of the time as Dh went to work. I had another bout of pancreatitus. I had it back in 2001 but not as bad as this time. My body went into overload and I had tachicardi and a collaosed lung out of it all, hence why I ended up in critical care. I don't remember much after driving myself to the hospital as they said I was slipping in and out of it between the emergency dept and surgical ward. I was in good hands. And I'm still here, which is the main thing.
The meeting with the hospital doctors was an absolute nightmare! They were right from the start, they had removed my tubes. So in passing info from doctor to doctor up there they got it all mixed up and had assumed that evreything was still intact and where it should be without going over my notes. I go back to see the gyno doctor who made the mistake in July and he's going to see that I get IVF help in Brisbane, since they stuffed up. It's really beyond us to be able to afford IVF so it'll be a pointless exercise unless they are going to pay for it. Which I doubt very much. Anyhow, Benjamin is our little man and we're lucky to have him, so it's all good in that respect.
Melissa
