cindy - frame is completed. they are waiting on the wind to stop befire doing ahead with the roof tiling. RE are coming next wednesday to look at the house so getting the skip in over the weekend.
I second the OMG @ your place. I am sure its just vacant and the inside will be fine. You have to tick off all that stuff at the inspection prior to settlement dont you?
Nikki i hope the car buying doesnt take too long and isnt too painful
-
Wow Rachael! I can't believe so much has been done of your house already! Thats amazing!!!! You must be so excited!
Yeah at getting the real estate out next week! It's all happening!
-
Whoops..we went onto the next page!!
So I had to pop in and chat!
Kristie, hope you have fun and patience at the sales tonite!! I just don't have the energy to go!! And my friend said that there's no more no deposit layby anymore?? Is that right?
Anyway, hope u get all the stuff u want..
Rach, your house is coming along great! You guys will be in there b4 u know it!
Cindy, hope your house is ok and I'm sure the inside is alright.
Well I've had the headache from hell these last few days and no matter what I take it is still there!! I'm hoping it is gone 2moro morning when I wake up..
-
Sorry to hear about your headache Alex - hope it's gone in the morning as well...
LOL - I'm picking Cindy up on the way as well...actually I better start getting myself organised! They still have the no deposit layby - unless it's big stuff like trampolines etc I think...
-
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! DON'T GO ON MIDNIGHT SHOPPING TRIPS WITH KRISTIE VISSER!!!
Kristie - I gather you are still sleeping! Unlike some i had to get up early this morning even though i didnt manage to get home from our shopping trip untill 4.50AM!!! I had a good time though, was nice to have a LONG chat! I actually dont feel that bad at all at this stage but it is the start of my day
-
OMG!!! 4.50 am Cindy!!
I hope you get a nap in today with the girls!!
Was it a madhouse?? Hope u guys got everything u wanted...
-
LOL. glad the shopping was fun then.I went last year, I managed to finishe selecting all my items by 1:30, but the laybuy queue was 2 hours long so I didnt get home til nearly four anyway.
Dont know how much work will be getting done on the house this weekend now, my cousin and his wife, who's pg & due in October, are coming to Melb for the weekend So will hopefully catch up with them before they go back to SA.
I'll have to try to get some things done tonight while DH is out rather than sit on BB all night :)
I've been packing books and things like that away. Last night I found all of my classical and bass guitar books and sheet music so they'll be getting put somewhere seperate so they dont get lose again. I dont think I fully realised how many books we have. We might open up a second hand bookshop in the garage at the new place.
Milo has been mostly good but when he's not hitting people he's pretending to..last night I asked him what he did at creche and he told me 'I hit Brody with a cricket bat' which clearly did not happen, and also Brody doesnt even go to his creche (but is his friend). This is a recurring theme, he keeps telling me he hit XYZ with a cricket bat. Not sure what we can do other than tell him its wrong.
-
Rachael - Tori is hitting at the moment! Its a pain! I just give her the look and she goes to the naughty corner!
Alex- no rest for the wicked! I am working today! And doing tupperware stuff tonight!
-
i wish I was doing tupperware stuff tonight! Then I wouldnt have to clean up :) haha
I think I need to get some more outside dates, might go for a wander through the new estate
-
Good idea! I am going to have an open house thing and invite my old hosts and the neighbours once the new catalogue starts up. Are you going to sessions??
-
Yep. Assuming no disaster strikes I will be there, especially after missing the last one.
-
Cool! I might see you in the sea of Tupperware people!
-
Good morning!!
OMG - What an experience!!! We were delirious (sp?) by the end thats for sure...I can't believe we got all our shopping done in an hour and then the rest was waiting and guess what??
I HAVE TO GO BACK!!!!!!!!! I called them when I got home cos they stuffed up my layby of the trampoline and only scanned the enclosure...not much F****** good just having the enclosure!! LOL!
I said I refuse to line up again so they said just to go to customer service and they'll sort it out - They better!!!! I figure if I head out to Berwick tomorrow we're almost there anyway...
I walked in the door this morning at about 5.15am and Michael's alarm was going off for work so I hopped into bed and he hopped out! Lucky we weren't much later!
Anyway...Kids woke at 7.15 and I was throwing dvd's and food at them so I can get some more sleep but it was still interruped every 10min...LOL! I probably should have just got up as I think I feel worse for the interrupted sleep...
Got mostly what I needed and the rest won't hurt that I didn't get it! I'll wait for the target sale - HA HA HA!
Cindy - BIG HUGS!!! I'm sorry!!! I think going at 3am next year is a much better idea (or freakin not at all! LOL) I hope you get through today ok...
Rachael - Good luck getting things organised with a busy weekend...With milo's hitting I would just keep reinforcing that it's not nice to hit (when he's talking about it) and time out when he does it...
They have to learn eventually????? (I hope!)
ok...I'm going to eat some brekky...We've got no milk so I can't even make a cuppa! LOL! Oh and bubs has been kicking me like crazy all night - very nice! He's either so excited by all the pressies I bought or he's annoyed he was kept up all night with me gas bagging and losing my mind....
Chat later
-
Kristie - I had a good night/morning! We were definately getting giggly by the end. I couldnt have done it with anyone else thats for sure! I cant believe we didnt stop talking the whole time!
As i said last night, its been a while since i have been out of the house untill that time - especially without MANY drinks and a pack of ciggies in my system!
Next time - we are going at 3am!
-
LOL - it's a date! At least we were kid free - I can't believe people had their kids out with them! Poor buggers...
I so have no tolerance with the kids...Louis must know though so he's pushing me - just drew with red whiteboard marker all over his toy shelf, blackboard and huggies art desk...So unlike him...just looking for some mummy attention I think...Now I feel bad...
Will have to plan a fun week next week since we'll all be feeling better...think I'm going to take him to kung fu panda...
-
Kristie glad you had a good time shopping bugger they stuffed up the trampoline though. Oops at Louis drawing on his things. I know what it feels like to have patience pushed to the limits, luckily I am getting over my short patience and am feeling more relaxed now. I think a week of fun now you are all well would be great fun.
Well Jordan didnt sleep wed or thursday during the day so today he has actually gone for a nap. I think he was buggered. We played outside today in his car and with his trolley and he must have worn himself out.
Yesterday was my 1st drive out since Liam was born. It was fabulous. I only went to the ILs to see SIL however I felt so indpedendant now that I can drive the car. I cant wait to start going out with the boys on my own.
I used the baby bjorn for the 1st time ever yesterday, I loved it. So much easier than the double pram, Jordan just walked with me in the supermarket.
The cubby is being delivered today so this weekend Jamie will be putting it together. We bought the boys the bob the builder work/tool bench to go in it, I cant wait for Jordan to see it. I think he will be mega impressed.
Have a great weekend if I dont chat with you all before

Hi!
Well...what a day - Was great to see you and the girls again Cindy! I can't believe how naughty Louis was being...Little ratbag...they both fell asleep in the car on the way home and I've managed to transfer them into bed but we'll see...He's got such a little mouth on him at the moment and just doesn't listen...I'm not sure whats going on with him (other than the 2yo factor - LOL)...Was a cruisy drive home since I didn't get lost - only took about 40min...
Tracey - Wow - what an exciting weekend it will be with the cubby going up!! I'm sure Jordan will love it!! Yeah at being able to drive again - what a relief - that would well and truly do my head in!
Thats great the baby bjorn things worked well for you...
Hope you're all well! Chat later...
-
well the cubby came today but it came late so we didnt get to assemble it. We are going to do it tomorrow. Jordan was so excited even just to see the door and window side and was playing in that LOL I think he will be SO excited when its all up.

Kristie - Congrats on getting a buyer:clap:
Cindy - Home is what YOU make it...
Alex - Nice to meet you..:) Looking forward to chatting in here with you often
Tracey - Cubbys are great. I wish Benjamin had a fort to play in. They've got them into boxes at daycare, and I'm tempted to go to Harvey Norman's and see if I can get him a fridge box or something.
Racheal - Benjamin get's in hitting moods I think. He gets stuck into his dad for fun more than me which is ok, until it gets serious and someone gets hurt.

well the cubby is now assembled and Jordan loves it. The guy forgot the front door so we cant put any of the toys in it till tuesday but Jordan had a great time just playing with the windows LOL
we are heading off to Jamies BF house for tea tonight, bonus I dont have to cook.
hope you are all having a nice weekend.

I went to target today and was really impressed with the stocked shelves for the sale so i have decided to get in before everyone else,i dont care if i have to pay full price,i refuse to get caught up in the stress of the cues and catty women.i am going to go shopping next week and get it all while it is there and no cues.
Grant finished the cubby house today,it looks absolutly beautiful,he even put in the little fence pailings on the verandah with the tulip cut outs.he repainted the whole thing including the roof and floor and carpeted it,we went shopping and bought a kitchen and cradle, ironing board and all the pots and pans and plates etc she could need,i am buying a little table and chair set tomorrow.tonight grant was giving her tickles on the couch and she said stop daddy i need to check my house, she looked out the window and smiled, she loves it.so did harry.
every one is well here, another week of holidays.I am taking the big boys and there friend to a skate park in werribee tomorrow and me and the babies are going to a play center in werribee if i can find one.

Hi!
Omg...we've been house hunting all weekend...AND
I need some feedback! We've found a nice house - plenty big enough but not really any backyard...benefit being that we're 7 houses away from the primary school and about a further block from a playground and bmx track...
Needs paint and carpet which is fine we can do that before we move in and otherwise updating over time...
So we're really excited about the house but I'm not sure about not having much space in the yard...mind you - we haven't seen any houses with land anyway...
Link is here: CRANBOURNE NORTH
Tracey - Yeah at getting the cubby house up! Woohoo! The house I'm talking about above comes with a little cubby house - LOL!! Woohoo a freeby! Yeah at not having to cook - we had 2min noodles for dinner - OmG!!!!! So going on a health kick - the poor kids have been eating awfully...
Melissa - Thanks! The box idea sounds great!! I'm sure he would have sooo much fun!
Nikki - The cubby sounds gorgeous!! So cute! Good on you with the shopping at Target! LOL - I'm too much of a tight a*** to not get it on special! Hehehe. Have fun tomorrow!
Ok...I'm having brain drain I swear....we're going to have to decide on whether to put an offer in soon....I'm so nervous!
I hope you've all had a good weekend! Chat later!
-
okay kristie,i have had a look at your link.If i can give you an honest opinion i would suggest 4 bedrooms,i noticed this only had 3,you are considering another baby down the track and even with 3 beds and 3 children some will always,ALWAYS have to share.Imagine if you do have 4 kids like us,beleive me you will need to have 4 beds and even then someone will have to share. We would love to have 5 beds so that each of the kids can have there own rooms,it really becomes an issue as they get older, trust me.I think 3 bedrooms would not be ideal for you guys,The rest of the house looks open and roomy although there is no central heating, only a wall furnace...BBRRRRRRR,i feel cold just thinking about it,Does it have cooling?
just to give you an idea and i realise it is a different suburb but our house was 280 K and we have a quater acre,4 beds,2 living areas and an inground pool.I think you can do better, just keep looking, there is a ripper out there for you and it has your name on it,you just havnt been shown it yet.try not to be tooo hasty,i realise that you are trying to get it alll said and done before ethan comes but just look for a few more weeks.I also think that when you find the RIGHT house you wont feel nervous at all you will be excited.
-
Nikki, your house is awesome, I love your house. Seriously, I wish we'd been able to get something like that here.
There are 3-4 playcentres in Werribee and Hoppers Crossing. The best ones I have found are called Kidz Digz and Wonderland. I like the stuff at Wonderlad better, but the seating for parents is a bit of a PITA, its not as well laid out. The entry price is less though.
Kids digz still has good stuff (not as good) but the seating arrangements for adults are significantly better.
Which skatepark are you going to? There is one next to a large playground in WyndhamVale and another in Hoppers Crossing.
-
Hi!
Nikki - We'd love to have your house as wel!! But the prices just aren't like that out this way...we're already now going as south as we feel comfortable but we have a long wish list that we're trying to fill in the lowest price range there is...This was by far the biggest home we'd seen that had a garage...we looked at one 4br house that I fell in love with but only had a unuseable single garage that required digging the driveway up and no room for a carport or anything...
In regards to sharing the boys will just have to live with it - Michael shared until he was about 15 or 16 and I had to share with my sister (who was 9y older!!) until she was about 17 or 18 and dad finally built an extension!! Thats really the least of my worries...it has 2 good sized areas so they don't need to be in their room really other than sleeping etc...
I'd be more worried overcommitting ourselves financially...we are sacrificing with me not being at work...and we don't want to upgrade in 5-10 years because we want to buy land up the country - which will give them all the space they want - LOL!!!
I agree with the ducted heating - on our to do list as soon as we move in...I'm hoping we can get carpet/paint/ducted done for under 10k???? Cross fingers anyway!!! Then we'll be well and truly broke!!!!! No cooling so thats another thing on the list....but maybe not straight away or maybe a smaller cooler up in the rumpus room...
I know what you're saying about being nervous/excited...I think I'm nervous about the whole move over there...I feel like I'm moving interstate! Just completely away from everything I know and family/friends etc...It's not that far away but still a big adjustment...
Rachael - Hope you had a nice weekend!
-
weekend was busy! I cleaned the skirting boards this afternoon :)
Kristie, the house looks good. I think the size of the backyard is pretty reasonable compared with new houses these days, especially when you take the outdoor living area into consideration as well.
our new place will have a nice 'alfresco' type area (well once we get a pergola/veranda up) thats about 20m2 but the actual backyard is only 5.3m x 16, so not much room at all. I think the amount of parkland and sports fields around will more than compensate for that though.
Milo went to the footy (Melton South) with Neil yesterday. We thought it was the MeltonvMelton South match but thats next wekend and we cant go :(
He had a ball but has come up in eczema from rolling around on the grass. Neil said the boys (his cousins kids) were really good with him, particularly at half time when they wanted to kick the footy, and Milo wanted to do handstands
