Thanks guys. LC at WErribee seems to think its a "sublingual" tongue tie, which is not the normal kind, and she also thinks its what Milo had from my description, only this one has been detected 2 weeks earlier than his was.
So Im trying to get an appt in at RWH or with one of the LCs in the city to have it assessed by a specialist.
She also thinks I have oversupply, as we're getting a lovely flood of green frothy poos :)
Oscar still sleeps well at night so far, daytime is all over the plae but I guess you expect that with a newborn esp. when he sleeps so long at night.
Milo is not doing so well he is feral and attention seeking all the time, even when we're tyring to make special times just for him to do things, Im not sure what else I can do :(
-
Rach It is hard when new baby arrives, Jordan did terrible attention seeking things for about a fortnight and then he calmed down. We were still spending heaps of time with Jordan 1 on 1 but he still got his nose out of joint, its only natural I suppose. I hope you work out Oscars tongue tie. Liam is tongue tied but they told me not to worry about it as he fed ok.
Well Jamie is on his way to LA. His flight to sydney left at 4. Nikki picked him up and took Jamie Grant and James to the airport. I am now a single mumfor 9 days, heaven help me. It will be interesting to see how I cope.
I cant wait to hear all about their adventures
Liam is now taking a few steps on his own, he is so cute. He looks too little, Jordan was only crawling at this age LOL
Its funny how different they can be
-
The boys have landed in LA safely, they are out for dinner and probably an early night from lack of sleep,it would be about 8 pm over there.
They are going to disneyland tomorrow. It is about 23 degrees so lovely spring weather, although there summer has just started.
The beautiful tracey is having my kids tonight while i do night shift, bless her heart and god help her.LOL!
-
Sounds great over there, I wish I was on holiday! lol
Well Neil has been car hunting yesterday but not much around. I dont think I updated this thread - Neil was involved in a car accident, he got hit from behind, 4 car pile up in peak hour. He is fine but the car was written off, so we need to get a new one with not a lot of $.
He saw a few that were just out of our price range, but basically the dealers said if we wanted manual it wouldnt be a problem, just not auto. Pity I cant drive a manual.
There was one that we could afford, kia carnival but its 9 years old, however I dont hink we're in a position to be picky.
Oscar is doing well, he still sleeps relatively well at night which is good, its just tough having to wake him (he doesnt ransfer that well) to drive neil to the station every morning now that he is on the train. Ah well at least we have a car to be able to do that.
-
Hi chickies!
It was great catching up with you rach and nikki the other day! What a massive day we had. Sorry i was not much good company by the time i got to you nikki!
Rach - al has had a look on his system at work and is struggling to find anything for you too! There are a few cars if you can ad 1-2k but thats your call!
well we had a great day today - caught up with nicky and damo today with the munchkins and we went to docklands to the winter wonderland which the kids LOVED! they went on all the rides and then we had a great lunch and a few drinks, was definately a good way to spend a sunday!
I hope you are all having a great weekend! We need to organise a catch up for the school hols
-
cindy, yeh I know thats what we are finding everywhere. Please thank Al for us though :)
All I can find so far is a 2000 model kia carnival. Its only done 110Kms whih is not bad for 9 years old, and we can get it within out budget, just, with a 3 year warranty so thinking about that, Im just worried at the cost of running it. Plus Neil wants to take teh 3 back seats out, so it will only seat the four of us :(
-
Well Chantelle Harry Jordan and Liam had a ball last night and today. The kids slept well however I got a lot of kicks in the back thru the night from Harry. He is such a wriggler in his sleep, heaven help his future wife LOL
I am knackered though after the night and day with 4 kids. The boys are in bed now and the floors are now mopped so I can relax.
Rach sorry to hear abour Neils accident. I hope you can find a car you like and can afford.
Spoke with Jamie today and he is having a blast. I am so pleased they are having a great time. I am thinking a girls cruise in on the cards for next year..... all in favour say I!!!!!!!!
Nikki hope you get a good night sleep tonight.
CIndy good luck with the a and P study its a ball breaker i know
Krisite Hope you are going ok and the boys are well. How is all the training going?
Alex hope you and the boys are good also, how was your mini trip away?

we need to lock in a date to catch up during the holidays my lovelies!
Well i have one more exam to go and then I have no classes for a month which is exciting!
I hope you are all well....
I have a busy weekend ahead - got the girls from school coming sat night to study for next weeks exam (and a few drinks of course!) and then going to the snow for the day sunday with nicky and damo! Tori is hanging out to see the snow, it will be her first time and she cant stop talking about it!
-
We bought a car, yay. We're going to Cranbourne to pick it up tomorrow. Fingers crossed it runs well, Neil does not have the best track record, though the commodore (written off) was reasonably good.
Cindy when are holidays? Catching up sounds good to me.
Milo is getting kinda worse, I dont think he is coping very well at all. He cut the couch with nail scissors. He just acting out all the time, unless he is at kinder or daycare where he is fine. Im really hoping its just attention seeking and not anything more serious.
I will ask MCHN, he has his 3.5/4yo checkup in a few weeks.
-
Rach - sorry to hear milo is giving you a hard time! hopefully he will stop it soon! Must be driving you crazy!
What sort of car did you end up finding?
I messaged about the distributor coz a friend of mine has just signed up at thomas town and i wasnt sure if that was where you were...
She was meant to be starting with me but ended up going with someone else which i frustrating to say the least - i needed her so i could step up and get the tupper-car!
I have had a few people do that lately, i am wondering if tuppers way of having the manger do all the talking for the demonstrators when it comes to recruits works all that well!! Getting really annoyed with it!
-
its a 2006 holden astra wagon. it was more than we wanted to spend but we didnt really have much option in the end.
I really would have preferred to keep the one car and spend the $ funding my maternity leave, but I cant bring myself to drag Oscar out in the cold every morning to take neil to the train station etc, hes usually sleeping when we'd have to leave and so stuffs all of that up.
thomastown would be evolution I think? not sure. Now I feel terrible having done that to you as well, TBH I think travelling that far Id have stopped long before now though.
-
Oh Rach you dag!
Everyone has to do whats right for them!! I was most certainly not referring to you! I appreciate that i ave all these people in my life that understand and appreciate the tupper-biz! Its all goo, this one was soo frustrating though! This chickie will be fantastic at it! I wil see her at sessions anyway!
The car sounds great! Sorry al couldnt really help you out - he is looking for cars for about 3 of our friends and there is no bargains coming through at the moment- if you want a new one, he can save you $$$ on them!
-
Cindy - cool, I will talk to you in 6-12 months, when we will be getting a 'new' new one ;)
Oscar is asleep, not sure how long for it could be an hour or 2, could be it for the night.
Dad is going to go with Neil tomorrow morning to get the car, he didnt sound really enthusiastic about a 7am start but we realy appreciate not having to take Oscar out in the cold, trying to feed him once we're there etc. I will have to think of something nice we can do to say thankyou, not sure yet..
-
Hi!
Long time no post!!
I've been in la la land a bit I must say...
Rachael - How are you??? I can't wait to meet little oscar! I'll have to arrange a visit when the kiddies are all better!!!!
Sorry to hear that Milo's playing up...I'm sure he'll settle down soon...is he ok towards the baby?? Maybe try incorporating him with some of the helping out - getting nappies or a towel when he's having a bath...???
How's Oscar's tongue tie? Louis had one - we got it snipped...He was feeding ok but I know it can bother their speech...
Sorry to hear about Neil's accident - glad that he's ok though!!! I can't drive a manual either! LOL! I hope your new car works out well!! I don't blame you for not wanting to drag the baby out each morning!!!! I bet you'll be happy not to have to do that anymore!!
Nikki - You survived Grant being away! Woohoo! (although of course I knew you would!) Hey...just read your post after Kim's facebook stuff and realised I hadn't read anything from her - seems she's deleted me! LOL!! I never even said anything!! LOL!
So glad the guys had a great time!!
Tracey - Wow - congrats on you coping so well also!!! LOL at a cruise - would love it but I would imagine we won't have the funding - might need to start smaller - like a night away in the city! LOL!
Cindy - The winter wonderland sounds like fun!! Hey - would love to catch up on Monday at the park - sorry I haven't sent an email back yet - will have to see how the kiddies are going - they should be fine by then though - they still have coughs but seem reasonably happy enough...
How exciting that you've only got one more exam to go - woohoo - ooh the snow on Sunday will be fun - where are you going?? We're going to take Louis and Dylan up at some point over winter as well - will probably just go up to Donna Buang as it's cheap and we can drop Ethan off at my sisters in Yarra Junction on the way for a couple of hours!!
What a bugger about your person starting tupperware...and you had Lea not choose to do it either...You're getting so close! Maybe now's not the right time for some reason - I'm sure you'll get there soon though!!!
Yes - would love a catch up in the holidays though!!! I miss you all! What days suit everyone best???
I'm free EVERYDAY pretty much - I'm not doing much lately and have NO money so whatever suits everyone else...
Ok...I must get to bed...chat later!!
-
Guys lets meet up on wednesday 1st or 2nd week is good for me. I am going to be working the thursday for some extra money
Rach sorry to hear Milo is going thru a phase but I assure you it will pass. He will realise Oscar is here to stay LOL
Krisite so nice to see you are still around, its been ages since you posted.
Cindy good luck with your test, I had communications test last thursday, was pretty easier I think, will see what result I get though
Gotta go liam screaming :(
-
Hi!
Either week is good for me so if it suits everyone else lets make it the first week!! I'm dying for a catch up!! Hopefully eveyrone can make it!!
We had a quiet day - Ethans still super sick and the boys seemed extra sleepy as well...Poor Louis fell of the step and knocked his mouth somehow on the kitchen top and managed to put his tooth right through his lip! Got a fright but seems fine...I think I was worse - LOL!! Glad Michael was home...
Ok..hope you all had a great weekend - chat later!
-
yep, Wednesday in the first week is good for me too....is it possible to meet half way?
-
when are the holidays - I have no idea what date you are talking about
Nikki, i was thinking halfway might be good too. :)
-
Happy to meet wherever - the only issue I have with meeting at a play centre or something like it is that it's so buys and noisy and you get so caught up chasing after the kids that sometimes it's hard to have a good catch up!! It's good for the kids though I know...
Maybe we should also try and arrange a dinner out as well just for us mums so we can have a good gasbag without the kids???
Just a thought...
Rachael - It's next Wed 1st July...
-
ok 1st is good.
dinner out i can do wiyjout oscar at the moment so might pass on that one unless he miraculously develops regular sleeping habits - at the moment i can express cos he is tooo unpredictable
-
just a suggestion and we dont have to go with it but just throwing something out there.
in keilor there is a cute little farm i took the kids to early in the year,it is good cos the kids can run and you can relax and chat,it is better than collingwood farm in my opinion, across the road is a great play centre we can go to after if we wanted to continue with something else and the kids can have lunch there and we can stress about them after a relaxing morning at the farm.
uuummmm,we could go to science works....or...uuummm.....fairy park but thats a hike for you guys on the other side of town....or...uuummmm a picnic at captain cooks cottage and a visit to murunjinni park? or what ever it is called next to fed square.....uummmmm feel free to throw some ideas in!
-
I was going to suggest the fitzroy gardens, which i think is where captain cooks cottage is isnt it? It's pretty central which is good too.
Keilor sounds good as well.
Im not really fussed I'll just be happy to get out of the house.
-
I'm happy with Fitzroy gardens - we'll just have to keep an eye on the weather I suppose!
-
Thats why a playcentre could be a good option, its indoors.
Im trying to think of anything more central but not coming up with much.
-
the 1st wednesday sounds good to me also.
I found a playcentre at the docklands, waterfront city. Thats central to all and indoor so wont matter about the weather. kids under 1 free 1-3 $6.50 over 3 $10.50
YOu can look it up, its called Monkey Mania
what do you guys think
-
second thoughts..... if people do not want to pay for playcentre I am happy to open my house up to everyone
there is an awesome park 5 mins drive away if the weather is nice we can all go there
let me know what you all think
-
I'm up for your house Trace - as per our conversation I could do with avoiding the spend...we're really trying hard to stick to our budget at the moment...
-
Im happy to come to Tracey's
-
yep,i am good for that too tracey
-
Alright guys my house it is. Come whatever time you like I am easy
See you all wednesday then
-
well i am off work AGAIN as now Jordan is sick he has cough and snotty nose. Unless he is better wednesday we may have to rain check on the catch up, I would hate to pass this onto any of the other kiddies.
I will keep you all informed.
-
Well Jordan is better now, just a bit of a cough so should be ok for all the visitors
cant wait to see you all
-
Yeah!!! I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone!!
Shall we just bring some snacks to share??
-
Im not sure if I'll have Milo with me or just Oscar.
I've told him he has to be a goodboy or he wont be coming!
-
I'm so looking forward to cuddles with little Oscar!!!
-
It was so good to see everyone, just a shame we got lost and took so long to get there
Thanks so much for having us Tracey, maybe next time can me at my place if its not too far for Krisite & Cindy to get here.
Sorry I lost the plot for a bit and got all teary, having one of those days.
Oscar slept the whole way home and is still asleep now, I think we are definitely in for a late night tonight! lol ah well they are only little once hey?
-
Rach LOL at your getting lost but dont wory at all, its normal and everyone has teary now and then, especially with all the hormones raging. Oscar is just a darl and I cant beleive how big he is. You will have to fill us in on his weight.
Krisite I just love your boys they are so thoughtful. Jordan told Jamie all about Louis coming to play, he had a good time with him.
Was great to see you all,CIndy sorry you had to miss it but we decided we have to do a dinner sooner rather than later. NO kids just us to chill, relax and chat. Let me know when you guys are free for a dinner.
Liam only slept for half hour so was a tad unbearable tonight. they are both now in bed and I can finally relax and the house is quiet BLISS
Night all

Hi!
I had such a great day catching up with you all!!
Tracey - Thank you so much for having us - I hope the house wasn't too feral! I was having giggles with Jordan at one point and Liam is so gorgeous!! I thought the boys played very well!
Glad your enjoying your peace and quiet now!
Rachael - I'm so glad Oscar had a good sleep in the arvo for you!! I hope he gives you some sleep tonight as well!
Don't apologise for getting upset - we all know how hard it can be sometimes!!!! You poor thing - your right in the sleep deprivation stage now and it is HARD! You look like your doing really well with the two of them though so please don't be too hard on yourself - it is a big job and your doing great!!
Nikki - I so hope you're in bed asleep and not shopping!!! You poor thing - I think you've done so well with all the night shift but I also think it sounds like a great idea for you to do afternoon so your not so tired!!!
Alex - Was great to see you again - hope the boys had a sleep for you!
Cindy - Glad to hear your sister is now on a waiting list...what a great big sister you are making her get organised!!! Looking forward to a catch up with you and the girls soon!
Well, Ethan and Dylan had a snooze on the way home...I cooked dinner once I got home and then headed off to the dr - Ethan still has a bit of a red ear so another week of antibiotics for him...
I'm crapping myself now too because I had my pap smear and she made comment that I looked like I just ovulated - now dtd on Sat seems like the worst thing ever!!!!!!!!! So obviously this nausea is from ovulating which seems so odd...I guess I will know if the damage has been done in a couple of weeks...surely it would seem odd to fall p/g again 1st time around???????
As for dinner - I'm pretty much free anytime!!! Looking forward to a good gasbag without distraction and a glass of wine!!
Chat later!
-
Hi!
Louis is really sick today...watery eyes, runny nose and I think a bit of temp...
Hope all the kids are ok that we saw yesterday...
xo
-
Krisite Hope that Louis is feeling better. No further sickness in my lot whichis good.
OH MY I hope you get the news you want in a few weeks time......
Well we are heading up to yarrawonga for the weekend, should be nice. Its been ages since we went away something different from the regular boring weekend at home.
take care everyone
