Yep these tablets are the same thing you were recommended. I was also told by my doctor they didn't work, but I said I'll try it anyway (he recommended that $200+ drug). I was suffering from pain & fever associated with thrush, I thought I was going to colapse at any minute. My first dose was great, after a few times of taking them, I felt great, I finished the script & was good for a few weeks then I got it back again & started another dose, again it worked. If you go and get a script, ask them for a few repeats on that script because there might be re-infection from feeding later & it will save you having to go back and get another script.
