Just stopping in quickly while Molly naps. We are going great guns here. My In-laws have been here since I had my c-section and they finally went home today. While I loved all the help I was gettinng its also nice to be home alone. My mum had been here for nearly 3 weeks before I gave birth so we haven't had the house to ourselves in so long. But in saying that this will be the first night we are home alone and I am a little nervous
Molly developed thrush from me taking antibiotics or I gave it to her . So we are currently trying to break the reinfection cycle that happens while BFing. I think we may finally be winning. Molly's attachment has improved and BF doesn't feel so bad now.
Molly has been sleeping well. She feeds 4 hourly but overnight that can stretch out to 5 hours.
I am feeling much better after my c-section and can feel my energy comin back. We actually have been out a few times for walks around the block. The first time I took Molly out there was a slight wind and I had to laugh at how uncertain she looked about it all.

Donna, I'm jealous, 5 hours of sleep at nights sounds wonderful. We were feeding every 3 hrs, day and night, but last night Ashlyn decided that she would go every 2 hours. I'm exhausted and to top it off she hardly woken up today so I'm a bit worried about what's going to happen tonight!
Eej, ROFL about the song. That's pretty funny. I'm with you on the clothes situation. I've got to go shopping on Tuesday to get something to wear to Gran's funeral. I've got nothing but maternity gear at the moment.
Question, how much do your bubs wake up for. I really can't seem to get Ashlyn to wake up for very long. I know she is only little and she just hit her due date yesterday, but she only seems to wake up for a feed and nappy change and then she's back to sleep.
Had a shocking start to our night here last night. Seven screamed, and I mean screamed for almost 2 hours until she finally passed out at almost 1am. Her wind pain was so severe last night I was in tears because my little baby girl had tears! But then she slept for 3 hrs and fed, then went back to sleep again so I am thankful it hasn't carried on into the day. I am just praying that it doesn't happen again tonight. Why is wind pain always worse for bubs at night, its horrid!
Captain ~ Your little on will start having more awake time soon! It's perfectly normal in the first few weeks for them to sleep and feed and thats it! I understand though, so many ppl said to me "does she actually have eyes?" stupid question but you know what I mean!!!
About the feeding - Seven has been a 2hr baby since birth. During the night she usually goes 3hrs, but during the day shes feeding 2hrly still. I don't mind, as long as she gives me a bigger break on my wedding day so I don't have to undo my dress so much! LOL

Kell, I am afraid of that 6 week mark and the screaming for hours on end, the Bauers stuff does ease it a bit, but.......
Kerry, just keep an eye on the bleeding if it gets smelly, get it checked out I mean can smell you before you walk into a room type of thing!!!!! I am still slightly bleeding at 3 weeks.
Girls good luck with thte BF sounds like you are doing well with the expressing and catching up. I am so disappointed, Poppy attatches well and sucks like a gem, no sore nipples, just can't get my supply up, the only time I don't have to comp is at night where she is happy to feed from me soley, maternal health nurse thinks I have little chance of coming back from here given y prevuiouns track record!!!! Maybe I will get to 6-8weeks were her words of wisdom, after I asked the ? how long?????? So making the most of it while we can, maybe she will continue to use me for comfort alah dummy style.
Anyway sorry for lack of personals not enough hours in a day or days in a week, and worse when DH goes back to work, straight into a 12 hour/7day shut at the power station!!!! OOOOOHHHHHHH going to be tough, lets hope I get super organized quickly!!!!
Pam, have you gone onto the ABA website and spoken to anyone there? I found them brilliant with little bits of advice, and i have started to go to meets with them all.
I found the best way to keep supply up is feed, feed feed! no dummies, bottles etc. But i guess you probably have already tried that.

Nath is having seperation anxiety from me already, i cant put him down at all.
he RARELY sleeps alone, has to be on one of us, very difficult when i want to use his sleep time to play with my other tot.
Blake is handling his little brother very well, just kisses, then cuddles then walks away and doesnt pay too much attention, i have noticed as time goes on and Blake's confidence improves around him that he gets a little hands on. But we have to let the two of them bond i guess.
I tried using a hug-a-bub today, they are brilliant! I borrowed one of Sunshine_sabian, and i have to go out and get one!! Is anyone else co-sleeping?

Mumma, noe I'm not co-sleeping cause DH is way to heavy a sleeper. I'd have to kick him out of bed and we ust don't have any where ese for him to sleep. But I do have her in the bassinet next to me. I have't tried my HAB yet, can't wait to use it.
Pam,I know how you feel about DH going back to work. I'm really not sure ow Im going to manage when he's away. Might be a few meals of baked beans, lol.
Kell, poor Seven. that wind pin is horrible. Ashlyn had a bit last night, she was actually going purple around her lips before letting out a massve burp!
Well Ashlyn seems to be waking a lttle more. Though unfortunately it was more during the night. Hoping she sleeps a bit more tonight. Went clothes shopping today it's hard to find clothes that are suitable for BF and covers the saggy belly!!! I'm really looking forward to getting the all clear to start some exerise!
