test result back in... No thyroid cancer!! I thought and hoped after my brother and aunty that surely one family could'nt be so unlucky. Turns out part of my thyroid is underactive so this nodule is compensating and producing too much hormone, so off to see an Endocronologist in Feb (darn the long wait)to see how they are going to shrink it or remove it???? At the mom it is pushing on my windpipe and making swollowing difficult, fingers crossed it does'nt grow too much more between now and then.
Woohoo!! So pleased for you, Pam! That is indeed great news! Hope too that the nodule doesn't grow any further, sounds painful.
Sorry I haven't been on to post properly - my mother left last Friday and is now back in Hong Kong. A very sad day. Lots of tears. And it's taken me some time to get used to being on my own with Matthew. I miss having another pair of hands in the house but most of all I miss having my mum to talk to.
Matthew's father finally finally finally came to visit yesterday. Only one night though. But it was SO good for us all to be together. More tears today when he left.
There seems to be so little time to get the basic things done. How does everyone do it? I'm just so glad I had Mum here to help for Matthew's first six weeks. Anyway, must go wash up some baby bottles. Love to everyone.
Yay Pam!! Fantastic news. Sounds painful though, hope it doesn't get bigger before Feb.
Kerry, So good that Matthew got to see his father. It is hard to get things done isn't? I'm trying not to worry about the fact that my house looks like a bomb hit, otherwise I'll go insane.
Me, I finally snapped last night. After a couple of good nights, we were back to waking constantly. I went through the whole bedtime routine and had her solidly asleep just after 7pm. I was looking forward to being able to tidy the house a little and then watch some TV. Right up until the dog bark right next to Ashlyn and woke her up. So not only was she awake, she was really upset and it took another hour just to calm her down. I think I was crying as much as Ashlyn was.
So now I'm off to do last nights dinner dishes and to try and wash some clothes before we run out.
Rotten dogs barking!! Big hugs, Captain. Getting bub to sleep can be so painstaking, it really is upsetting when something like that happens. I'd spent an hour patting Matthew to sleep this evening and was walking to the bedroom with him when the phone rang, just as we were walking by it.
Any advice for cracked nipples and expressiing/breast feeding? My right nipple has a longish, deep crack and I'm worried it might start bleeding soon when I'm pumping. Ouchies.
