I've been reading about all your bubs so I thought I would add some more information about Emme.
She's been holding her head up from the start, even in hospital the nurses were mentioning to me that she was always trying to hold her head up and look at everything. She's got an amazing grip on her and has been grabbing onto my hands, and handfuls of my hair, to keep me where she wants me.
She loves her bath, and the water in general, and is always kicking her feet madly and splashing with her hands. She's been in her big bath stand for around 3 weeks now and loves the freedom it gives her to kick more. I even took her down to the local pools for a dip last weekend, and she loved it, not one cry out of her. Bella was just the same, so they have lots of traits in common. She uses her bum to wriggle up and down, but I don't know' if she is doing this purposefully yet it just happens, but it means she's got alot of strength in those legs of hers.
Oh and she loves her dummy. For those of you with reflux bubs, one of the recommendations the doctors gave me was to get a dummy for her as it soothes babies with reflux. Apparently reflux bubs still give out 'sucking indicators', eg : turning towards you with mouth open. This happens even when they're full so you can overfeed them and increase the reflux & amount of feed coming back up. By giving them a dummy it satisfies their sucking urges, soothing them.
Bella has decided that Emme is her doll, which can be a bit scary especially when she decides she wants to take her somewhere. I always have to keep my eyes on them, especially as Bella is at that 2 yr old stage of "Go away!" and "No!" to everything.
Emme is almost sleeping all the way through the night now, and only wakes up for a feed if someone else disturbs her, so I am very lucky!
I've been seeing a bit more of their father since Emme's birth, and he helped me out alot through all the dramas I've had. I don't know if anything will come of it, or if he even wants anything to come out of it as we have been seperated for over 9 months now but I think I'm going to take each day slowly and see what comes. I'm a really big believer in not inviting drama into my life anymore as I think I've had my fill for the next year or 2!
Anyway I'm smelling a very full (and maybe explosive ) nappy is about to need changing so I'll love you and leave you for now.
    All our love,
    Natalie, Bella, and Emme!
P.S: Kell if you are reading this - the best of luck from me & my girls. May your special day be filled with love, laughter and memories for your family to cherish for a lifetime.

Kerry - ooooh thanks for the news, I am soooooo excited. I am going to skip off to the thread..

Nat - I so hope that you can possibly work things out together matey.

Mmmmwwwaaawww, I got Arabella's picture taken with santa at Myer today, it's in the gallery now. She just woke up as I was walking past so thought I would quickly plonk her on his lap - she looks so tiny in his arms LOL...
We got a massive storm this afternoon and thankgod my new car was under cover at a car park cause I didn't even know it was about to storm.

Gotta run and get some paperwork done and try to clean up a little. Bella has set up a nice little routine for night time now, she goes down at about 7pm and sleeps til around 1 - 3 am and has a quick feed and sleeps again til 6am. We then get up and she plays under her gym for about half an hour and then heads back for a sleep again. I feel so lucky..

Last week, I started bringing Matthew to bed with me and feeding him during the night in bed. Now he's turning up his nose at the bottle during the day and I'm having trouble getting him to sleep at night unless it's with me! Cheeky monkey. He gives me the biggest smiles when he wakes in the morning and is even smiling in his sleep. Very cute but I'll have to try getting him back into his bassinet at night or move him to the cot. I've also noticed the back of his head is quite flat so I'm trying to put him to sleep on his side all the time now. I wonder how long it will take to reshape his head? Any advice?

Yes, it's lovely news about Ang! Wish Matthew was sleeping as well as Arabella. How cute about the Santa picture! Love to get one like that with Matthew.

Nat, Emme sounds so gorgeous! Love to see a picture of her in the big bath stand. I'm going to have to look for something for Matthew, he really is getting too big for his bath tub. Good to hear that Emme and Bella's father has been able to help you through some dramas. Wise to take things slowly though. I'm the same with Matthew's father. We'll get through this time somehow.

Good luck for tomorrow at the specialist's, Pam!! Never thought to have the immunisations done in the evening (not that that would have been an option for this lot out here but something to consider for the four month ones as we should be living on the coast by then). Good idea!

Captain, hope the good sleeping pattern continues!

    Good morning

Nat, Emme sounds gorgeous. Don't know if you've seen, but us perth girls are having a meetup at Belmont tomorrow if you're interested.

Sue, love the santa photo, I always forget to get them done, will have to remember this year.

Kerry, if you're moving Matthews head now the flat spot should clear up without problems, he's still young. Danielle had a really flat spot on one side and now you can't even tell it was there. Is the spot on one side, or does he have trouble troulbe turning his head? If he can turn his head in both direction then nothing to worry about, if he has trouble turning his head to one side then you might need a referral to a physio. HTH

Sleeping wasn't too bad last night. She had a feed at 10, 1.30am and 5 before starting the day at 6.30. So half hour for each feed isn't too bad and we're getting a bit of sleep. I've tried settling her without a feed but it doesn't work and she does take a full feed. I expressed to see how much milk she was getting and it's between 150 -200ml so it's not like she's starving, just loves her food, lol!

Well best get back to the house work.

    Hi girls,
Kerry thanks for the news on Ang's preg annoucement, I will be calling in a soon as I have finished here. Re: Matthew's head don't worry to much, even if he does'nt move his head much now he will be soon, and the flat spots go....plus he has lots of hair so even if it stayed you would'nt see it. Don;t sleep him on his side at night, only do it during the day, JIC of SIDS. Getting him back into his bed, wait until he is fully asleep usually around 15minutes, then transfer him,he may still stir, but should'nt wake up. I was doing it with Poppy for a while, now she is happy to go to sleep in her cot, well at night anyway. Best of luck with Matthews dad, I hope this brings everything together, maybe even a sibling for Matthew...?????

Sue< iwill be off to check your Santa shots shortly. I remember Sophie's first Santa shots she was 6 months old and oh my goodness the chubba, a bit scary really!!! But she is tall and skinny now.

Captain, hopefully you get Ashlyn sleeping through before 7 months, but I guess you just used to it??? Good that she slept so well during the day, nice to have that break. Great supply, fanatsic you can get that much by just expressing150-200ml, Poppy probablly gets about 50ml from me, but loves when she does, her favorite times of the day.

Nat, Poppy is also really strong, she is currently trying so hard to rollover, has'nt figured out her shoulder is in the way though.. I hope you and DH get things worked out, but agree definately take things slowly. Sophie loves Poppy, but is much the same you have to watch like a hawk, won't be long when she decides to pick her up, Poppy knows she is in danger and starts to grizzles straight away, but coo's and smiles at her big brother???? Amazes me how little they are and know so much.

    Bye for now

    Hi Girls,

We are plodding along, Emily makes me smile all the time which is nice. I am trying to deal with my "mother" issues and she really helps. I'm feeling more confident everyday. It may sound a bit mean but I kind of like it when she is really upset and DH can't settle her but I can. It really gives me a boost. Is that really awful? I just am questioning my ability all the time so when that happens I feel I can do it.

Kerry- Thanks for the news, that is so good to hear. I'll post a congrats to her in a sec.
For the other girls in our thread that weren't in our belly buddies group Gabysmum had an awful time and lost her little girl at 13 weeks (i think correct me if I wrong girls) due to a chromosomal abnormality, so it is really exciting they have this news.

Sue- the pic is really cute. I can't wait to have Emily's taken. Christmas is so exciting. Esp our first with a baby. DH is going all out this year with the christmas lights. The house is going to be lit up...well like a christmas tree! lol

Captain- glad you are getting some more sleep. The pyschologist told me sleep is so important and we are meant to get 7 hours for four nights out of seven and more the others! I don't know how that is meant to happen with a young baby!

Pam- Emily is sleeping a similar way to Poppy last feed about 930-10 awake around 4.30-5 for another feed. And she generally wakes up smiling which is very cute. Not at the moment tho, she is grizzling!

Kell- I hope your wedding was spectacular!

Better go and feed my little girl and I'm prob due to express soon. (that's all I seem to do!) :-)

Hello Nae - good to "see" you - hope you are doing okay. I look at your purple teddy you sent, and think of your little angel often

Hi to everyone!!!!!!!!!!! Been seriously MIA, but wanted to pop in and say howdy!!!

Babyland is lovely, Remy is a cutey-pie, great night sleeper, not so great in the day - but guess we can't have it both ways.

It is just me, or is anyone else getting clucky for "just one more bub". A part of me tells me I must be completely bonkers (I already have an 11 and 9 year old). I asked my ob about this - and his advise was "you'll know when you have enough" (mind you he has 7 kids lol) - but I just feel like I need one more. Open to any of you guys talking me out of it !!!!!

Glad everyone is doing okay, and all the bubs are settling down and are a bit more predictable!

Promise to come back again real soon - hugs to all.

    Hi All,

Just popping in quickly this morning, before I head out for a long day with friends.

Kel, you looked gorgeous, congrats on your happy day.

Lee, I too want another one & hope to convince DH to start trying next November, 3 will be enough for me. My DD1 will be turning 9 shortly so I'm keen on rushing in the third baby as I don't want a big gap, my DD1 has my baby sister for company but this baby will have no one when she's a little older. Maybe your thinking the same as your 2 children are older you don't want one left out?

Nat, Madeleine loves her baths she goes a little nutty in the water, I haven't taken her to the pools yet, might try that when its a little warmer here.

Captain, I here you on the running thing, I've been trying to do some aerobics & the jumping up and down hasn't been easy with the BB.

Nicambar, oh how cute I can't wait to get some santa shots of my girls together

eej, nope I'm the same with settling madeleine, she has a way of playing up for DH everynight she wont even take her evening bottle from him as she wants to play, I take over & she takes the feed and goes off to sleep for 9 hours.

blackduckies, gorgeous photo's Poppy is a cutie

I started Madeleine on karicare ar formula on tuesday & she's taking it well although her poo has been really thick & she cried this morning whilst doing it, so not sure if we will stay on it. Regardless with the reflux she needs to have her milk thickened so we'll see what option we have.

I'm trying to stop my milk, who knew it would be so hard. I was barely making 80 mls per feed but since I'm trying to stop it they are full & painful, i'm doing what it says to express for comfort only, although I woke up lumpy this morning so had to express a lot more, I look forward to it being over.

    hope everyone is well

    Hi all!
Candy Jay - Emme's on the Karicare AR too. I was barely making enough for her too, and she was continually on the boob. The nurse said that a few people have problems with constipated bubs on the S-26 and I had this with Bella, but no problems with the Karicare. If she is having problems with the Karicare you might try the drops from the chemist to mix with the formula until her body gets used to it.
NaeNae - You sound so healthy. I know you must have bad days but you sound much better and I am so happy for you.
CalebsMum4Eva - I'm so happy your big day was everything you wanted it to be.
Eej - There's nothing wrong with wanting that special bond with your bub and wanting to feel needed.
Blackduckies - Yep Emme's trying to roll, and nearly has it sussed. Bella has already picked Emme up and tried to put her on the lounge!!! Scared the **** out of me, never again!!!!
Captain - Didn't read your post till Tuesday night so missed out on the meet up. Will look out for the next one.
Kerry - I love it when they smile, it just melts your heart! Will try and post some bath shots later.
Nic - Will be taking Bella & Emme to Myer this weekend to have their Chrissie shots done, can't wait!
Niamh75 - Sorry to here about all your house troubles, but you will triumph! Great to hear that Eireann is going fabulously.
Emme is just melting my heart more everyday. Her smiles light me up, and I can't wait till she is awake each day. Bella is becoming a big girl everyday, and has become much more knowing. Am tired all the time, but have gone back onto the iron tablets as I'm still deficient, and trying to organise an appointment for the carpal tunnel test on my wrist.
    Lots of love and happiness,
    Natalie, Bella, and Emme.

    Hi girls,
Firstly Kel congrats, glad your day was so wonderfulOff to look at the pics after this.

NaeLooking forward to catching up, another day could work if you let me know?????

Lee, great to see you only thinking of you the other day and wondering what you were up to??? Poppy is my just one more baby and guess what!!! I am thinking just one more would be nice, already got the bigger car etc..... DH is constantly talking about it, but me thinks NO..... heart says YES head says NO. All the reasons, too old, toooo many complications, way to stressful, can't handle any more MC's and don't want to take the risk of birth abnormalities, we have been very lucky and I know when to quit (while we are ahead) I look forward to following friends in their journey.

Nat, Emme will struggle on the formula for a while, I think a few of us have had the same problem. Drops from the chemist over the counter are a big help.

CandyJay, I wish Poppy loved the water, she still hates her bath??? Madeline sounds like a real fish. I hear you on the milk, I produce very little, but..... when i could'nt feed her after my tests they were like rocks, I had to keep expressing, plus I still wanted to feed her the little I had. Ho wyou go cold turkey I don't know??? Oooouch!!!!!

eej, there is a perverse sense of satisfaction when you are the only person who can settle them???? Or get them to feed properlly. You are doing a great job and are definately not alone in those stakes.

Well Poppy had her jabs last night, I was very anxious and had a restless night I had the worst feeling that something was going to go wrong, especially after she inhaled her Panadol beofre I got her there and could'nt breathe properly for a few minutes all the while gagging trying to get it up.Glad to get them out of the way, with no ill effects, apart from a restless night for both of us.. she is doing well today. There is just so many things they have, scary....
Well bye for now, catch up soon.

    Hey all,

Pam - My roster currently looks like this - I say currently coz it could change but its unlikely to do so in the next few weeks.

Tues 25th - I have this off but seeing its the 6 month Anniversary of NIki's birth chances are I will probably just lock myself inside.

29th and 30th - my *cough cough* best friend is supposedly coming over she was meant to stay the night but bailed at the last minute on that and reckons she is coming for a day trip I won't hold my breath.

Tues 2nd - again a difficult date - 6th month Angelversary probably will lock myself away again

BUT I have the Wed 3rd and Thursday 4th off - can you believe its almost the end of the year- so if you are free and have a preference I can come out on one of those days?

Will be great to catch up again - can't promise I won't cry t hough you know me big bloody sook that I am

    Let me know ok?

    HI to everyone else

Oh if you all want a looksee, I have almost finished the nursery, I have set up the room but still have some wall stickers to go on and a new light fitting but I have some piccies in my gallery.

Sorry to those who don't know who I am or my story but I actually started this renovation when I was about 4 months preggers with all these wonderful chicks

    Much love to all

I guess I dont normally speak up for my self and ive taken them by surprise. the pool issue is on going though

    Good morning

I've just had the craziest, busiest week. And can't rest today because I stupidly booked a tupperware party (well there are things I really need). Sleep still hasn't been great but we're plodding along.
Otherwise Ashlyn is a very happy bub. Lots of smiles and laughs and she is really talkative. We have lots of 'converstations.' It's so cute. Yesterday she said something in her baby talk and then laughed like she had just told a joke! Just melts my heart. She can roll from her back to side, but only when she's lying next to me looking for food, LOL.

Niamh, yay on the new house, it will be such a relief for you to get away from them. Hope Eireann doesn't get the chicken poxs.

NaeNae, hello, the nursery looks great.

Pam, how did Poppy recover from her jabs?

Candy, has the milk stopped yet? I was just talking to a friend who's going through the same thing. So far it's been 5wks and she still got some coming. Can't win, it's not there when you want it, doesn't go away when you don't need it.

Lee, I'm definately clucky for one more. I think I might have some trouble talking DH around though, because we will need a bigger house and probably car too.

Kell, the wedding photos look fantastic. Looks like it was a beautiful day.

Hi to everyone I've missed. Looks like Ashlyn doesn't want to sleep again and I've still got to tidy the whole house, argh!

    Hi girls,
Captain, I had to laugh Ashlyn can roll onto her side, but only when looking for food!! I love that she is laughing and your interaction with her, sounds so cute. Poppy can't laugh yet, lately she is'nt smiling as much???Maybe she is just bored with me, because when dad gets home, all is good?? She locks eyes with him and smiles and watches everything he does. Jabs have'nt been good, she was okay for the first 2 days, but has had a funny tummy, lots of pop offs, some mild vomiting and awful poo. Effects of the rotavirus.....
Hope you get loads of tupperwareorders and get all those things that you need

Niamh, glad things are starting to sort out on the rental front..They have a cheek to want you guys to get the place all cleaned up, good on you for standing up for yourself.PND, nope, just cheesed off!!!

See you on the 3rd Nae....

Waves to all you girls, hope you are having a great weekend.
