    Hi All,

Its been a long time since Ive had anytime to come in here and post, now that DD has gone back to school again I'm feeling like a have a little more time.

The last week was a right off, I haven't cleaned my house or anything the heat here in melb knocked us all around ... thankgoodness it's dropped into the 30's.

We've had a shocking week this week, we went away to echuca for australia day weekend, it was meant to be a nice weekend away our first, but DH sister decided to make it a nightmare by screaming at him for us going away, we return to have to deal with my mother moving into a safe house (bad seperation) Then to top it off my mother in laws house burnt down... thankfully everyone survived (pets are a different story) the fire started due to an electrical fault in one of the exhaust fans, luckily it happened during the day as if it was in the night they wouldn't have survived as it was in the roof. We already have but if you don't have a smoke alarm in your roof it's a really good idea just thought I'd share, also they didn't turn off the gas in the house once they found the fire & the house blew up, I never thought about turning the gas off so.

Madeleine is doing well, a month ago she was 7.5kg's, she started farex & solids as the bottles just aren't going down with the reflux so a bit early to be introducing but she's so much happier.

Anyway better run as have to get madeleine to the doctors seems she has an eye infection probably from use trying to escape the heat in a public pool.

Will do personals later, hope everyone is well.

eej YAY for Emily rolling!! No stopping her now hehe

Mummatotwo, don't feel bad about Nathan rolling off the bed, it's how I discovered Jaidan could roll lol no long term damage done!

Niamh it's ok to have a lapse every now and then. As for your friend, sounds like what I went through with my XP. When I was pregnant with Jaidan and Chase he used to call me fat and ugly, I had zero self esteem and I have almost no photos of me pregnant for that reason. It really is an ugly situation to be in but because he makes her feel that crap she wont have the guts to leave him, thinking she is worthless and no good for anyone else. Try and show her that she can do better.

indie Yay for Molly and her cot! It was great when I could put Ashton in his cot and he goes straight to sleep, the trick was wrapping with him, but cos he is so big I have to use a cot sheet lol I didn't want to wrap but it sure beats him screaming for half an hour and me walking back and forth with him.
Do the test. It sounds more like it would be your body sorting itself out, but if it's a positive we might be on that road together... I am a week late I am hoping like you that it's just my body sorting itself out since this would only be the 3rd AF. Gosh imagine me doing it again lol there is 14 months between Jaidan and Chase

Nae I am sending you huge hugs. My heart aches for you right now. It's just so not fair

kbowman I spent the better part of a day looking for one of those floatation devices with a canopy for Ashton. We were in Launceston in the hot hot hot weather last week and I wanted one so bad, ended up going for the ONLY one I could find which was just a normal one Even though summer has only JUST hit this week gone there is nothing out there, they are even bringing in the long sleeve tops already!

Captain and Kerry you have nice sized bubbas!! Ashton is not 9.2kg and 75cm long such a big boy. I am so glad he doesn't look 'fat' though!

Captain how exciting about the swimming lessons. Ashton spent every day last week at the pool and LOVED it! I am considering getting him in, but it would mean organising a sitter cos you can only have one child per adult where I am (even though I manage 3 all the time )

Candy Jay Wow how scary!! I am glad noone got hurt!! Glad the farex is working for Madeleine. Hope her eye is better!

And for us!! Well guess what Ashton is doing... getting on all fours and rocking I have put pics on my Facebook and I did get a small (about 5 seconds) video before my camera died!
We just got back from a week away in Launceston. Ashton was the best behaved little bub every, no tears at ALL and was just charming everyone. He now has about 4 wives lined up lol It was so hot up there, almost 40 everyday so we spent every day at the pool lol Also did lots of other things too so go check out my pics if you are on my FB friends (if not my link is in sig add me and ill accept you just say BB)
Nothing else really new, still BF and cloth nappying (even on our holiday) and still co sleeping and feeding 3 hourly lol He is 5 months in a week, I can't believe it!! Goes so fast!

OHHHHHHHH he said mamamama the other day, clear as day! My friend Katt heard it too so I was happy. Sometimes I think people go "yeah sure he did" when I say the things he does, because he does them early most of the time.

Hope all the bubs are well!

Sorry not posted for a while. I have been reading all posts mind.

Nae - Hugs for you. Praying it is not the worst.

Niamh - You must be heading back to Ireland soon. Is it as cold there as England? I watched snow falling on skype with Dad this morning so glad I am not there. Boiler for CH at our house failed yesterday so got gasman going out tomorrow for tenant they must be freezing!

Missymoo - Way to go Ashton on all fours. Xavier is commando crawling and pushes himself on his back with his legs. He is getting everywhere! He is only just 4 months

Captain - Hope you enjoy your swimming lessons. I tried one with Xavier at 3 months but I didnt like what they had me doing also couldnt decide what was the best time to go as he has no real pattern with his sleep well there is a pattern but the times alter each day. No point me going when he needed to sleep as he would just cry. I have decided to take him myself after he has woken up. Went to Streets Beach with him and my friend last week and he loved it.

I had a friend staying last week from the UK which was great. Xavier had his 4 month jabs on wednesday and he was fine. Slight rise in temp but only 37.3 so normal I still gave him paracetamol.

He did drop a feed in the night for 2 nights but is now unsettled again and up at least twice! He is waking at 5.30am seems to know we have put blackout lining in his sisters room so she sleeps till 7 now so he decides to wake early. Like a little tag team.

Best go and get tea sorted for my DD

    Jo

Hope it is cooling down for those of you in the south. I remember it was not fun on the 40+ days when I lived in Melbourne with my DD as a baby

wowee girls, all these clever little babies and their milestones. Arabella must be just too lazy to do anything. She still hasn't rolled yet, but she does grab things and puts them straight into her mouth. She is really getting into the teething rusks. Still no sign of teeth, she had a shocking day today and was trying to bite her lip cause her gums are so sore. She looked so miserable today.

Kerry - ohhh I am so jealous that you''re going to HK. At least you can escape the heat. It isn't as hot here as you have it, but it must have been close to it cause my cat was swimming in the pool a couple of days ago , was a hilarious sight.

eej - nice av. How's the WW's going. I have lost 3.5kg in 3 weeks. Am just doing it at home myself cause I have all the books from last time I went. I have about 18.5kg to go for my suggested weight. LOL, bella has such big rolls that the huggies nappies are really cutting into her legs.

Captain - uuuggghhh, waking every 2 hrs, u poor thing, and poor Ashlyn must be so grumpy from not getting in a good stretch of sleep. Hope things get better soon. for the teeth to make an appearance asap. Oh your so good getting onto the swimming lessons. I must do it soon because we have a pool and it terrifies me that the kids will leave a gate open. DF's cousin drowned and his Aunty has never forgiven herself.

Lauren - I used the Nilstat for a while with Bella and it did squat. We ended up with Daktarin and it cleared up within a couple of days.

CJ - gggeeeez, u poor thing, I'd be in the corner rocking back and forth by now. Lets hope that things cool down for you soon too, I just hate the heat. Even though it's not as hot here in brissie, I still can't cope cause our air con broke down and Im waiting for a new one.

Sue- Arabella isn't lazy just doing things in her own time! WW is going ok. first weigh in is on friday..yay for you, thats a geat loss. I have all the stuff too from many time starting but meetings work the best for me and I am going with a gf.

Mel- I saw your pics of Ahston on FB good on him. He is an advanced baby! I'm sure Emily has said mama too! Who knows tho.

CJ- wow that's a hell of a time. I hope things settle down soon.

Pam- I lost 10kg back in the day but DH was away for 6 months and it was much easier cause him being away gave me motivation! I wanted to be hot when he came home! I think as we get older the weight gets harder to shift. But I don't think I have ever weighed even the max in my weight range. I had a car accident when I was 17 and was in hosp for 2 weeks and was fed through a tube and even after all of that i weighed 73kg but looked so skinny!

Captain- Have you started lessons yet? I'm trying to work out whether we do gymbaroo or swimming.

Emily is 5 months old today I can't belive it! In exactly 4 weeks she will be 6 months, where has the time gone.
I have a cold..in summer how ridiculous! I feel pretty miserable.
Oh and we are going to try cloth nappies. Thanks Lauren for the help. We are starting with some baby beehinds.

    Take care lovelies!

eej - Arabella pulls herself up in her little deck chair/seat thingy and sits up straight with no support so I suppose she is doing something. I should be thankful that she is not mobile atm because we have to get some doors put on to our rumpus room because it has a big step down into it and I just get grey hairs thinking about what might happen.
I got a WII fit for chrissie and I weigh in every morning and it is so exciting to see what I have lost or haven't gained. It's almost like TTC and seeing what my temp was everyday LOL.

Sue, is that a new av? Some good looking avatars in our thread! Clever Arabella, sitting up straight! Matthew slumps over like a little drunken man still. And no sign of any toothypegs yet. Not that I mind - I'm a bit scared of him getting teeth!! Yes, looking forward to escaping the heat here. The seven-day forecast has changed. Originally we were supposed to get a cool change this Sunday, but now it'll be Monday or Tuesday. I think today was day 6 of it being over 40. Yesterday was 43.5 and we lost power due to storms in the area. Nice.

Eej, how horrible to have a cold in this weather! Hope it departs quickly! Yes, our babies are growing fast. And becoming lots of fun! I love making Matthew laugh. I've been thinking about trying Matthew with cloth nappies too, especially after a pooplosion this morning. I've had to wash the padded insert for the car babyseat... Urkh.

Jo, sorry but I had to laugh at the thought of your little "Tag team" - very cute! Wow at Xavier commando crawling and Mel, I saw your pictures of Ashton, omg!! So advanced these babies!

CJ, omg at the week you've had. It has to get better! How's Madeleine going with the Farex? And how's her eye?

Pam, hope you got that much needed sleep. I had a shocking night last night, with nightmare and feeling too hot, then too cold sleeping under the vent. Ended up moving from room to room trying to get comfortable with poor Matthew.

Lauren, yes, try Daktarin gel - I found it works best, just putting it on my nipple before feeding Matthew clears up any thrush really quickly.

Think I'll check on Matthew - very paranoid about him rolling on to his tummy and getting stuck there - and I'll try to get a few things done before I go to sleep myself. So tired of living in a mess.

Kerry we have been exclusively in cloth from birth and have had maybe 2 or 3 poo leaks, never as severe as needing to wash anything other than clothes though. One of those was my mum not doing the nappy up tight enough, another was the stupid nappy which I hate cos it always leaks so I have resigned it from nappy duties.

Missymoo, what cloth nappies to you use? What would you recommend for Matthew? I've been hesitant to use them because of the washing involved. We've had three dirty nappies and one very heavy wet nappy already this morning. We go through a lot of nappies each day.

I'm beginning to think I have a problem! I look at Matthew and see a baby that's not chubby enough yet he's in the 90th percentile for his weight and only the 70th percentile for his length. I just want to feed him all the time. (See nappy issue above - over feeding?) Is this just me? I also worry that he's not going to eat on the day we go to Hong Kong because it's out of routine, etc, and that he'll become dehydrated. It's going to be such a long day.

We have bumgenius one size nappies and the baby beehinds. bbh have been next to bloody useless for us and the bumgenius are awesome. they keep bella so dry and the liner thing is soooo absorbent. I was really hesitant to buy any nappies cause they are so exy but I am going to buy more bg's. bella really gets sore legs from the huggies cause the elastic is too tight even though the nappies are 6 - 11kg's. Oh, the BG's dry super fast, they're pretty much ready to take off after half an hour.

oh man, I caught bella's little tummy rolls in the car seat clip today. she screamed for ages and it bled a little too - ?'m such a bad mummy, i feel awful.

Kerry - I wouldn't worry too much about mathew's weight, maybe he is just taller and it doesn't show as much as my little shorty girl. Yep, new av here, I needed to get rid of my pg tummy LOL, literally.. geez, any temp over 30 is way too much for me. we just got a quote for a new air conditioner, that the rudd stimulus package goes ahead cause it aint cheap.

I probably have about 5 dirty nappies a day and 4 wet ones. They just all go in an empty bucket, no soaking, and throw them all in the wash every 1-2 days. Pre rinse, normal wash and on the line. They are made from bamboo (the ones I use) so that kills all the germs and stuff and the sun takes away any stains. I have zero stains, zero nappy rash and no going down the baby isle when I go shopping
I have just about every one you can think of...

    Wild Child bling
    Wild Child Day Dreamer
    Wild Child Fitteds
    Mirabai day and nights
    Cherubs Kiss
    Razzily Rhino
Baby Beehinds Bamboo, hemp and magicalls
    Peapods pockets
    Itti classic
    Itti Dlish
    Cute Tooshies
    Bits for Bots
    Patooties
    Lotus
    Bizy Bee
Sandman night nappy and a daysie
    Rolicking Rascals

I have 148 nappies... what can I say, it's my little addiction

If I was to reccomend just a couple I would say grab some Itti's D'lish and Wild Child. To start with I got one or 2 of a nappy, brought second hand and built up a small stash until I knew what I liked, then I brought more of that nappy. If you decide to do the swap just grab a few and slowly change over from sposies to cloth. Within no time you will have enough to give up the sposies all together. Ashton is my first in cloth and I can't tell you how impressed I am. I wish I had of discovered MCN sooner!

Why not pop by the cloth thread https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...s-161-a-7.html Have a read and ask anything you like

Wow, Mel, where do you put all those nappies!!!? My change table is chockers and I only have 40. I thought I had heaps.

Kerry, cloth are fantastic once you get into the swing of it. I would never go back to sposies. No poosplosions for us.

Sue, hope Arabella's feeling better. Don't upset yourself to much, you're definately not a bad mother. I have a Wii fit on order, can't wait to use it. We have a pool to and yeah, I'm super paranoid about it.

Eej, we start swimming on Friday. Can you do a trial run at the swimming or Gymbaroo to see which one Emily likes better. I did a gymbaroo style thing with Danielle but she never enjoyed it, though my GF's DD loooves it. Hope your feeling better.

Jo, that's unfortunate that you swimming lessons didn't go well, but at least you can go to the pools and just have fun, I think it really needs to be kept fun for them. I love the tag teams, there's been a couple of nights where the girls tag team all night!

CJ thats terrible about your MIL's house. Just glad everybody is OK. Hope Madeline's eye is getting better.

Pam, your doing fantastic in the challenge. I've come to a stand still this week, my own fault though I really need to get myself moving.

Well I've realised that Ashlyn is a really easy going, patient little girl. Yesterday she was trying to get her knees under her but kept slipping. She tried and tried until she just got to tired, never got upset or cried. So cute, I got some of it on camera. She can sit up for a few seconds, a bit longer if she holds my hand. She's also been trying to push up on her hands, looks a bit like she's doing pushups, lol. I love that she's making this progress, but I kind of want her to slow down, IYKWIM.

Captain I have an old computer desk, huge ancient thing, and they are all stacked on that in piles lol Piles that noone but myself would understand.

Yay for Ashlyn!! Isn't it scary!

Well it's official, Ashton 'crawled'. He got his knees under and moved forward in 'crawling' motion 3 times before coming to a crash on his face...

Off to have his needles soon waaaaaaahhhhhh

Sue why are baby beehinds not great for you guys? I just ordered 6 new magicalls! I hope they are ok for Emily I'm worried now! I'm going to try some bg's too.

Kerry - Lauren gave me heaps of second hand websites i'll send the message through to you on FB.

Captain- I'm not sure about trials for swimming but you can do a 3 week trial with gymbaroo, that's a good idea!

Hi everybody. Sorry for the long absence but with the heatwave last week I took off to my parents house because it is so much cooler than my house. I was more than ready to come home at the end of it though

I don't have time now for personals but I have been reading your updates So much exciting news around.

Well first thing I wanted to let you know that I am not pregnant which is a relief. I didn't want to be pregnant and due around Molly's first birthday.

Molly rolled over the other day from front to back. She did it once screamed like a banshee and hasn't done it since And she is getting closer to rolling over from back to front.

We visited the health nurse yesterday and she weighs 7.4kg and is 65 cm long. While I enjoy finding out her stats I do have to say I find it a waste of time going. My nurse doesn't really tell me much or talk about anything. Feels like a WW weigh in without the meeting. Oh well.

I was wondering if anyone has started solids yet or thinking about it?

    hello lovely ladies

we started solids!! Liberty was getting hungry between feeds and I tried feeding her closer together and then she got the explosive poos so it was either give her more formula again or give her solids. So I went the solids. And she loves it! She actually cried when it was all gone this morning, snatching the spoon off me and shoving it in her mouth trying to lick every last bit off it!! I'm only making up 4g of farex atm with about 20-30ml of breastmilk so maybe I need to give her more. I need to get over to the baby led solids forum... but first I need to finish some sewing projects.

Sue - I was holding Liberty across the length of my body and wasn't paying attention and accidently wacked her head on the top of my parents stair case and hit her just above her eye. She SCREAMED for ages. I cried too!! We all make mistakes, don't worry about it!

Mel - someones definently a little addicted!! I was just in a certain forum trading room where someone was talking about having 90 and I was like YIKES that's a lot but 90!?!?!

I have 10 cushie tushie coutures and one cushie tushie basix. They're OSFM and the good thing is they don't fit most babies so I can buy them cheaply second hand, Liberty fits them perfectly too so I only buy this brand. Someone gave me 3 for free the other day yay!! It was beginners luck really that she fitted these. I also make my own using the Wee Waka or however u spell it pocket nappy. I like the cushie tushies as they're all in one. We use flats for home, mcns for going out and the pockets for home or night.

I don't like velcro nappies because I can make them myself. I only like snaps. and i like the one size to save money.

kerry - the washing is EASY. (well i do have a chucky baby so in comparison to the clothes i wash for reflux its definently easy). i actually take quite pride in pegging out all the nappies! And folding flats takes seconds.

    yay for ashlyn and ashton!!

erin - u can always sell ur BGs if they don't work out for you. Aren't u glad u only bought 6 just in case?? I guess the only way to find out is to try them.

Hello to everyone else too who is thread stalking like I ususally do!!
