Good girl, Bella!! :clap: I bet you enjoyed that sleep, Sue! :D No big all night sleeps here but Matthew has just cut his third tooth, top front left, and the top front right is about to join it which explains our restless nights lately. So back to lots of drool, comfort feeding and Bonjella at the ready.

I know, the baby book makes for great reading. :p Things were so different back then. There's a page for formula feeding where the choices are lactogen, liquid lactogen and pelargon, with columns for the mixture including SUGAR!! And I see my mum was adding two teaspoons of sugar into the pasteurised milk for each feed. Last night, when I was talking to her on Skype about it, she was: OMG! I don't remember that!

As for the mat leave, I explained to my boss that I'd been a bit naive thinking I could go back to work full time at the end of April. They accepted my request to extend my mat leave so I'll be returning to work on June 1. A little more time to prepare Matthew and get him on to solids, etc. Still going to be hard!

Wow! at your DF's DD17 being in size 24 at 13yo!! I can understand you being worried. How's Bella going on the charts?

Welcome back, CJ! Sounds like a fantastic road trip. Is your nurse appointment at the end of March or April? If Madeleine's in O size clothing, she must be around the 9kg mark too.

Posted the same time as you, Pam! I think Poppy will be getting mobile very soon! But lol at her grinning at her handmaidens when she wants to be picked up! :lol: How much do you feed her each day? I'm trying to gauge how much I should be giving Matthew. I'm not sure about getting Matthew a flu shot but I'll be getting one for me. I'll have to ask the local doodah GP about it. Is the ikea chair you're talking about the Antilop? There's no ikea store remotely close to here but I've been looking online.

Off to Griffith tomorrow now to buy that highchair, bed rail and sundry other baby items! Hoping for a better sleep tonight!

cj - whoa, that's sounds like an awsome trip you had there. That'd be something Bella would like, she just lurves sitting back in the car watching everything.

Pam - Yeah she is still that size, maybe bigger actually. Don't u worry, I always throw her weight back at df when he has a go at me. LOL, I have actually bought a couple of things in size 12 this week, yeeeehaaaa. No teeth here either :rolleyes:, and Bella has really started to get herself around the floor now by just rolling, so cute. Bella likes lumpy food too, most of the time when we are out and having something to eat she tastes everything we have - little porker.

Pam - have a safe trip today. Aaah, that's great news about extending the maternity leave. My MIL told me she only ever had the boys on cows milk with a few drops of pentavite, eeeeekkkkk, maybe that's why they are all so damned short.

We are having a nice time in SA. I had super bad gastro and was so sick on monday. Thank goodness my aunt is so good with Emily and just took her as DH had to leave us that morning. OMG I thought I was going to die!
Emily was 8.5kg and 71cm at her 6 mth needles I think she is bigger than that now tho. Will ahve to weigh her when I'm home.

Pam-Sad Poppy has weaned, I am still pumping but am really thinking its near time to stop esp after the gastro has really hurt my supply.

Eireann is still small I think any way LOL she is still in 00 and is taking to weaning to solids very slowly she is haveing major sleep issues Im so tired with her, she is so hard to settle and is waking lot during the night, I mentioned it on the August thread already, I dont know what to do with her at all. I dont know if its wind ! she has only started sitting up on her own the last two weeks very cute and I dont think she will be crawling any time soon she hates being on her tummy she starts to panic and throws her arms out :D but is just so cute when she catcher your eye she gives a big grin and wriggle and even puts up her arms so very cute. I just hope I can get her down with out a struggle the way she is now there would not be a hope of getting out in the evening to a movie with DH I wouldn't leave her with any one it would be torture for them.

Nicamber well done Bella on sleeping through the night do you think she could have a chat with Eireann and tell her how to do it LOL. that's great you getting a way for a weekend long over due for you .

Yes Kerry thats the highchair, I suppose you got one by now though, but keep it in ind when you get sick of the other one:rolleyes:lol.Ours (you beaut one collects food in the crevices yuck!!! You realy notice whn DH steam cleans it!!!) Poppy has eaten pumpkin yummy, banana okay, potato okay but bl**dy fantastic with vegemite,avocado :pray:I am sure she is wishing she could have that all the time, farex of course and she has a brekkie of organic rice ceral with banana and mashed banana or the like, I would love to have a good look at BLS but have'nt got enough time to read more about it.

eej, hope the rest of your holiday goes well, lucky in some ways imagine having to look after a baby when you are that sick, not to meantion the chance they might get it also!!!! Bad your supply has dropped off, but maybe for a reason, you have done a great :pjob, not many would have lasted that long, it must be draining, double the work.

Eej I hear you on the gastro it is currently going through our house. Blah its horrible. I now know what its like to look after a sick baby while you feel like you want to crawl in the corner yourself.
Niamh - Molly still doesn't like tummy time but is slowly getting better. Now she turns in circles while on her belly which seems to amuse her for a little while.

WIsh I could get the Antilop from ikea, Pam! Shame I can't order one online, nothing on ebay either that I can pick up. Oh well! Despite that, shopping in Griffith went well - came home with the highchair at the top of the Choice recommended list, a Childcare Stella from Target for $159. I put the castors on this afternoon (what a pain that was!! stupid things) and fed Matthew in it tonight. Tried pumpkin (poison face), avocado on bread (which he normally likes but it wasn't going in to his mouth tonight) and organic rice cereal (got that down, with a bit of fussing). The only thing he really liked was me brushing his teeth. He just loves his toothbrush!

Also bought a portable booster seat to take with us to lunch/dinner on the off-chance that we might go out again one day :rolleyes: and a Thomas the Tank Engine jug for rinsing off the shampoo, as well as a bigger sleeping bag for him for the cooler nights. He just hates having a blanket over him.

Sue, hope you have a nice weekend away ;) It's well earned and long overdue! Is that a new avatar for you, too? I'm liking the wine and the rocking chair :)

Hi Girls - popping in to say howdy!!!!!!!!!! Had a quick read, our bubs are growing up so fast, I'd be happy for Remy to stay 7 months forever, such a cute age, and she's not crawling yet!!!!

Still pretty busy here with the tribe - the older two are off to Adelaide for a week over Easter, so DH, Remy and I are taking our camper to Cradle Mountain - will be sure to stock up on good Tassie cheese, wine and choclate - all the essentials :lol:

We are officially ttc the final addition to our family as of NOW, so hopefully given my previous extremely fertile history, we won't be waiting too long. I just turned 40, so don't have the luxury of leaving it a couple of years. I know it's going to be hectic, but I just can't shake the feeling that someone is missing, and that Remy needs a sibling in her own age bracket. Anyone else 'fessing up to going for another bub??

It's great to read what all the bubs are up to!

well my chances to get on the computer are getting fewer and fewer. we just had some sad news, one of my friends husbands commited suicide so this funeral will be the third funeral i've been to since liberty has been born... :( some people have said what an a** hole he was for commiting suicide as his step-daughter is heavily pregnant and his wife who i'm friends with only just married him a few years ago but i think that's pretty mean of them to say that, he was obviously really depressed and didn't know how to communicate and deal with his feelings and got desperate i suppose. anyway enough sad talk...

kerry - how cute that matthew has enough hair for shampoo, if you've seen my fb pics, its going to be a LOOOOOOOONG time until liberty needs shampoo!! haha. she hates blankets too so i use sleeping bags or those bonds easy sleeping suits thingies. like an easy suit but with sleeping bag legs.

lee - i've got to wait to be in our own place again before i join the ttc club :) you shouldn't have to feel like you need to justify it, if you want another bubba - go for it!!

living back at home with my parents and adult siblings (well 21 and 18) is crazy... can't wait until we move out and i'm NOT looking forward to liberty being a teenager, can't believe that i was that rebellious and rotten once upon a time.

Lauren, that is very sad news about your friend's husband. Unless you've experienced such an awful loss, it's pretty hard to know what to say. There can be such a range of emotions. It will be eight years ago this October that someone I loved and lived with for seven years committed suicide and I still think of him every day with great sorrow. I still feel pain and guilt that he could have felt so sad, so distressed and so alone that ending his own life seemed to him to be the only solution. He was just 35. Your friend will need lots of support and someone she will be able to talk to about her husband. Counselling didn't work for me, but it might for her. Big hugs for you too, three funerals in such a short time must be emotionally draining. :hug:

Sounds like you've got all the right supplies :p Hope it won't be too cold while you're there. And bravo at officially TTC the final addition! I'll be stopping with just the one. If I were ten years younger and in a more supportive relationship, then maybe! Look forward to seeing a BA from you in the near future! How exciting! :D

Matthew's latest trick is grinding his bottom teeth with the two top teeth that have just cut through his gum. Sounds just like someone eating a Violet Crumble! It's a horrible sound!!! But I'm trying not to make a fuss about it! :p

Lauren that is so sad I can only guess how the family feels, some people should really think before they say anything,depression is an illness with sometimes awful devastating results. hope your ok as well. they do say things comes in 3 so that will be it in funerals they can be so draining especially when the person is close to some one you care about.

Pam hello Hun good to be back how the weight loss going I fell of the wagon but im firmly back on and on my way to my fist goal two stone down for Eireann christening the end of May. Yep Eireann was very good she woke for feeds but went straight back to sleep not wake and scream for hours on end.

well Eireann has gone back to her normal better sleeping at night, I wasn't sure what it was so I changed a few things hoping i get something right. I wasn't forcing her to eat off the spoon but I was offering her a lot I think so now Ive cut right back and just giving her a small one at about 10 after her BF if she has two spoons or 4 that's ok im not worried any more she is just different from the boys and not hungers mother LOL.I also started giving her a bath and a massage at around 7 so kept her awake about an hour more and watching out for the wake up cues so I can dream feed her that way she is not waking up screaming the place down just when Im feeling nackered so far so good its working she is sleeping much better and im well rested yeaaa :).

has every one AF arrived mine playing games with me I had a bit of spotting about 3 or 2 weeks ago and think I'm having the same now or else it something to do with DTD hmmmmm wondering I'm actually thinking of doing a pregnancy test just to rule it out as I have been feeling a bit funny lately :rolleyes:

oh funny story well had me in fits earlier My sons were watching Eragon the film about the boy and the dragon and my 6 year old and 8 year old were fighting over who was going to be the hero or the dragon They both wanted to be the hero but 6 year old compromised and said ill be the dragon and my 2 year old says( Hahaha your a girl haha) as the dragon is a girl. well I nearly wet my self at that and the fact he knew it ans though t tease his older brother amazing :)

Hi girls, I have been trying to post on BB and just gave up. Our weekend away was really good but so very tiring, we were on the go til nearly midnight both nights and Bella was so tired on the way home that she just conked out as we got on the plane to come home... oh it was so cute, we were about to take off and I was talking to her and just looked down and she was gone. We got home bout 6pm and she went to bed and slept til 8am, went back to bed at 10am and didn't get up til 1.30pm :dance:. Last night she slept from 4.30pm til 7am this morning.

Niamh - ooooher, wonder if u r pg. I was just thinking the other day about who in this group will be first to go again LOL. Won't be me....


Kerry - PML, the wine and chair are at my house IRL, but they are only props, never get to use them. I love the Antilop high chair too, it's so chic and trendy, I love all of IKEA's stuff. We are lucky enough to have a store about half an hour from here so get to go every couple of months for a looksee.

Lauren - Very sad news about yr friend. In this last year we have had 3 people in our group of friends commit suicide, 2 in the one family. One of them was suffering depression, the other needed money to pay and $18000 debt and the other was cause he had cancer in his leg and was in massive pain but the hospital couldn't fit in his operation for another month. It is awful thinking about what was going through their minds in those last minutes the poor things.
uuugggghhhh, living at home, I can't stand being at my mum's for longer than half a day let alone live there, she drives me insane :rolleyes:

Lee - Oh I so agree, 7 months is such a wonderful age. Bella was playing with her cousin on the weeken who is 11 months and he was a huuuuuge handfull taking off all the time.;) best of luck with TTC.

Hi everyone. Thank goodness BB is up and running although the plus side is that I have done heaps of housework. I was thinking today that for the last few weeks I have actually felt in control of the housework, cooking and baby etc. It has only taken me 6 months. :dance: My house will never be totally tidy because I hate housework but its more under control now.

Lauren I am so sorry to read about your friends husband. :hug: I used to live with someone who had very bad depression and know its not nice. My heart goes out the you and your friend

Lee - I agree. I would love it if Molly could stay 7months old forever. I wold love to be the age where simple things like looking at your own hand cause such wonder and amazement. Molly just loves watching her hands move at the moment.

Niamh - Oooo I think you need to take the test to see if you are pregnant.

I would love to TTC again but I have to hold off until some medical issues are resolved and to convince my DH its a good idea. I think the medical will resolve itself first :lol:

Molly has been rolling up a storm lately and has started to work out how to roll back to her back when she rolls over. This makes things so much easier because she doesn't crack it so much when she rolls to her belly.

I also think I saw some teeth coming through on Molly's lower gum but I can't be sure as she wont let me look. I have to wait until she cries to see and then she wont let me look anyway :)

I was wondering if anyone has any tips for child proofing the house? Molly is getting pretty good at rolling around the lounge room so I can imagine that it will be only a matter of time before she is off.

Donna, For house child proofing I crawled around the house to try and see what would be interesting for little hands. I got some of those power plug safety caps and also locked away all medications.

Niamh, AF has been playing games with me too. I couldn't resist POAS, but it was -ve. AF arrived right on 6 months, and then again 2 weeks later!! Was not happy. Let us know how you go. Good that Eireann has sorted her sleep out.

Kerry, Matthew looks so cute in his high chair. Well done on getting it together! Hope Matthew stops grinding his teeth. My brother used to do that, sounded horrible.

Pam, Ashlyn's not going anywhere either. She tries so hard to get her legs up but just ends up rolling over, lol. I'm sure it will happen soon though.

Ashlyn is doing well. I just found out that she is into a swimming program that I put her name done for when she was 2 months. We'll start that next term, so excited. She is doing so well with her food that I can't eat anything in front of her with out her screaming for some. I'm yet to find a food that she doesn't like, little piggie. Though she still manages to have 2 feeds at night. I'm soooo looking forward to getting some sleep one day. :D

Sorry I have not been on for ages. Got all involved with finding icons in the nappy hunt so any time I got on the web in March was spent doing that.
Lauren - Sorry to hear about your loss. My cousin commited suicide 18mths ago. He left behind a wife and 3 small kids (the youngest 10mths old). It has torn his parents apart. We will never know why but I think people who have nothing nice to say should keep it to themselves. Yes it was hard to deal with what he did and upset so many people but he cant have been thinking straight. No one knew there were problems so it was no forseen.

Xavier is growing up so quickly. Still not managed the injections yet as he was ill last week and is coming down with the sniffles again so cancelled the appointment and re booked for next week.

My AF has not returned yet and I am enjoying every day without it. It came back at 6wks with my DD so I felt robbed the first time round.

Xavier is not taking to solids he kept gagging on rice cereal and I would struggle to get him to take a teaspoon of a veg or fruit so I have given up for now. He is still fully breastfed and he seems to love boobymilk over anything else. I will keep trying solids every week until I get a response where he seems to at least keep it in his mouth.

His sister took to solids really easily and was already on fingerfood by this age. Oh well they are all different. He doesnt seem hungry without and though he is still waking for a full feed twice a night I just have to deal with it.

I am hanging out for the day where he sleeps through.

Anyway best get on got to go to physio for my weak pelvic floor and hope the machine I have used for the last 6wks has helped to strengthen them so I can do exercise on my own.

Oh and my DD is being investigated for Scholiosis. We are devestated that she could have this. The dr has said very little but we are going to see a Paed in May. She was seing a paed in the UK for something else and he didnt pick up on it and neither did the chiro. Her kindy teacher picked it up and her daughter has it. I so hope she doesnt. Something else to worry about

Sorry no personals here today. I did come on a post a huge one yesterday but BB swallowed it up :(
Ashton survived his needles unscathed. He wimpered then was all smiles again. Much better than last time too, he only had a temp for a day. Last time it was 3 days!
Whats new here... well he is sleeping though! Seems baby food did the trick. He was on BLS but it just wasn't enough for him and I think taking into account his 10kg weight I can see why. He wasn't really eating much at all.
So now he is all settled down and sleeps from around 7pm-9pm then has a feed and back down from 10pm-7am so it's bliss right now. He has been doing it since Sunday when he went with daddy and daddy fed him baby food instead of his lunch box I packed.
He has 2 teeth now, my poor boobies. He bites sometimes and is very hard... nice big CHOMP and mummy yelps.
He is crawling very fast now, pulls up on EVERYTHING! He is taking a couple of steps around the couch. Not long now :(
He is 7 months today! I can't believe how fast it has gone :(

Oh and daddy is taking Ash for the night on Sat... I am going out with my friends and hitting the town. OMG it's been sooooooooooooo long since I have done that. Wonder how I will go??

I tried Matthew in the Safety 1st swivel bath seat again today - big mistake. He was absolutely fine until I tried to get him out of the rotten thing. He turned into a plank of wood with his legs out straight and even though I tried to move him backwards, he still scraped his legs as he came out of the stupid thing. And screamed!! Do NOT buy this seat! A friend recommended to me one that has a fold down front so I will try to track down one of these.

Also tried Matthew in a frame that goes on your back today for a relatively long walk to an abandoned homestead on the same friend's property. I couldn't keep a hat on him (he kept whipping it off and throwing it), or a hat on me (was doing the same thing) and he thought it great fun to pull my hair! Argh!

Niamh, did you end up doing a pregnancy test? No AF here and happy about that. I guess now that Matthew has started on rice cereal, that might change :(

Sue, I'm jealous that you live so close to ikea! Woohoo for Bella sleeping so well! Lucky you!

Donna, I'm going shopping tomorrow and plan on getting a couple of those gates to block off doorways and some drawer locks. Hoping that will do!

Jo, hope your DD's kindy teacher is just being over cautious and that DD doesn't have scoliosis of the spine :crossfingers: The sooner it's investigated, the better though. Odd that it wasn't picked up by the UK paed. How's the house hunting coming along?

Mel, ouchies on the biting! But woohoo on the sleeping through! I think I'll be trying Matthew on baby food now if that's the result! And Ashton's pace of development is amazing! What a champ! :D

I know, I know, last time I was on I said I would be around more, but, honestly I have not had the energy.
I don't mean this to be a whingey me post, but I think it's going to be.

Things here have been, how shall we put this?...absolutely friggin miserable.
I am so desperately unhappy and I don't know what my next step should be. The thought flashed through my head tonight that I should just up and leave.
I weigh 46kg. I was 53kg when I fell pg with Seven. <<<<Something obviously wrong there!

I think DH has postnatal depression. I don't know how to help him or if he is using this as an excuse. He has not bonded with Seven, he doesn't help with her, or help with ANYTHING, yet he thinks he does.
He even tried blaming his ineptness as a parent on my breastfeeding!
I am supposed to work of a Saturday night shift because we NEED the money, but I just don't feel comfortable leaving Seven with him, which is a terrible thing to think about one's DH. He has straight out said to me "I can't cope with her." and "I don't know what to do with her."

Oh, I could go on, but I won't. I just am sick of burdening my Mum with all this sh** and I'm sick to death of crying. I just knew I could come here and vent, and even if no one has the answers, I can get support.

I love my Husband, but he is making me sad.

Oh, Kell! Great big comfort hugs for you :hug: :hug: :hug: You sound like you're completely at the end of your tether. And with good reason. I'd be collecting the kids and heading for the door too. Do you have any mates or family members who can talk to your husband (gently and supportively or if that doesn't work, with the subtlety of a sledgehammer)? He needs to get help so that he can be of help. I don't think I'd be able to go to work and leave Seven with him either, if he's telling you that he can't cope. You're right, it does sound like he has depression. And for you to be down to 46kg... Not good, hunny! That's not healthy. I wish I lived closer so that I could offer you somewhere to stay. If you're up to the distance, you're more than welcome to stay with me in Lake Cargelligo! Truly! :hug:

Just thought i would poke my head into this thread and let you all know how Madeline is doing.
Maddy is 6mths now, oh how time flies, she is so much fun and i just love being around her every minute. She is rolling everywhere now and i'm sure she will be crawling soon too. She gets her knees up sometimes and rocks and even comando crawls sometimes too. She has had her 2 front since she was 5 mths, one day they just appeared with no warning. she hasn't bitten me yet (thank god) but i'm sure it will eventually happpen. Her teeth are giving her a bit of grief and sometimes she has trouble sleeping. she plays with her ears alot so i put it down to her teeth (i took her to the dr and he said there was no infection in her ears).
As for solids, we are having trouble getting her to eat them she just doesn't seem interested. she loves to be independent and tries to feed herself (the food goes everywhere). She doesn't really open her mouth for food and spits alot of it out. She loves chewing on food though, so i have given her a rusk and sometimes some bread crust. Yesterday i also tried a fruit/vege holder thats likes a dummy with a mess bag on the end and fruit/vege go inside it and they suck on it and get the food out. We tried banana and she enjoyed that.
She is waking in the night now (she slept through from 4wks) as of 4.5mths and i don't know how to get her out of it. I am so tired and its wearing me down. Last night she fed at 6pm and went to sleep at 8pm, i woke her for a dream feed a 10:30pm, she woke at 2:30am for a feed, 5:15am for a feed and was awake for the day at 6:30am. this is how it has been recently. Any ideas?
I have been breast feeding Maddy for over 6mths now. i'm so excited, it was such a struggle at the beginning but worth it in the end. She is now weighing in at 6.2kg, so a little small for her age, but the MCHN wasn't overly concerned. She looks healthy and doesn't look underweight.
Oh and we went swimming yesterday which she loved. its so expensive to put them into lessons, $62.00 a month. AGGHHH.
I had better post this as if i leave it too long sometimes it gets wiped.

I am wondering if there are parenting classes or something that the two of you can go to to get him more hands on with Seven? maybe he is just really scared he'll do something wrong or hurt her hence the no bonding? My boss stopped changing/bathing his now 1yr old girl at 6 months because he didn't feel comfortable touching/cleaning her little girl bits ... maybe he is struggling with this a little?

I don't know hun just throwing ideas in the air.

You sound like you need help too just someone to talk to about this who in non biased and non family/friend. are there any support networks close to where you live?

I have made an app for him at the GP tomorrow morning.
This morning started out super bad, with him saying I would be better off if he just left.
Then he sent me a message saying he wants to make things right but he obviously needs help.
Lets hope tomorrow goes well!
At this stage, I don't think I can go to work and leave Seven with him. I just don't think its the right thing to do for any of us at this stage.
Which also means that funds are going to suck and paying the mortgage might be hard. But you have to do what you have to do right?

Aww Kel hugs hun...I hope the appointment goes well. Its good he has you to see he is struggling. You do have to do what you feel comfortable doing and if going back to work doesn't feel right then don't do it.

Well we have had a bubba with a cold apart from the snot pouring out her nose, watery eyes and the not sleeping well at night you wouldn't know she was sick, she is still all smiles. I think she caught it while we were away. She seems better today and slept well last night but we'll see.
She did really well with all the location changes in Adelaide and did well on the plane but only fell asleep 20mins before landing!
OMG Kerry how did you go all the way to HK on your own. It was hard just the 2 hours home from SA.

I think she is needing less sleep...she is waking up around 6am! And used to go back to sleep from about 7-10 now she will go back to sleep for maybe an hour. Its normally when I pump then get some sleep but not anymore!!! Just time to pump. Her day sleeps seem to be shorter too.

Hi All,
Well, app was this morning, and the Dr feels that DH has an Adjustment Disorder. Basically, he hasn't adjusted as well to having a baby in the house and he normally should have. Duh, I could have told him that! So, he has put DH on AntiD's but of course they will take 2 weeks to take effect if any.
He is also going to be seeing the Dr for 'talks' every week, and I am going along too because DH wants me to so we can all talk about it together.
If, after a couple of visits the talks with the Dr aren't getting us anywhere, then he is going to refer DH to a Psychologist and we can do some Parenting classes to help him 'deal' with Seven.
I was scared that the Dr was going to agree with DH that my BF'ing is part of the problem but he said:
"It is a lucky child that can be breast fed until at least 12 months, 2yrs if possible." I could have kissed him! He didn't make a mention of us co-sleeping either, he didn't seem to think it was an issue, which is a blessing!

So, DH has admitted he has a problem, hopefully things will start to pick up. Dr told him he has to focus on the positives instead of the negatives.

I still have to work tomorrow night from 2200 to 0730 so I am not sure how I feel about leaving Seven with DH for that time but I don't really have any other option!

I think Seven is not needing as much sleep either throughout the day. She sleeps all night, from about 10 or 11 until about 9 the next morning, waking up for feeds throughout the night of course. She has only been having about 1 or 2 naps during the day, and they only last 45 mins. But she has always only ever had 45 min sleeps.

I hope the shorter sleeps don't make her too grumpy for you!

Lauren, I have lived with depression/anxiety for a long time now, but for about 3 years it was hell, all I thought about was death I know what people mean when they talk about things being dark/black....everytime i got in the car I thought about driving into trees etc...obviously people don't commit sucide when they are in a rational state, so to say they are being selfish, is just not right and obviously coming from people with no understanding of how depression can wreck a persons life...I am sure his family are devestaed and comments like that can be really painful.:pray:

Niamh, nice to see you. Great to hear Eireann is doing well. Just had my first AF, was a nice break from it compared to other times. I think 8 weeks was the longest before. OHH on the maybe another baby....I could kind of be tempted, untill I think about all the nitty gritty stuff???

Joh, good luck with your DD I hope the kindy teacher is wrong:doh:Keep trying those solids, some kids just struggle a bit at first my 3year old was the same, she will still gag easily???

eej, Poppy only just over a cold, definately influnced my decision to get flu shots done. DS and DD faired well, I am going to try Poppy on egg custard to make sure she has no allergies then we will get her done as well. Hope Emily is feeling better soon, we put Poppy into her rocker to sleep, really helped with the breathing.

Missymoo, Ashton is a big boy and busy, so great the solids are helping out on the sleep front...Have a great night out...

Poppy has started to roll!!!! (finally.)..not so frustrated anymore, a tooth has popped through and another is close, she is really developing a personality...does'nt cry much, mainly whinges, but will let out a scream here and there, the kids liven up when that happens:lol:She has taken to throwing her toys so the kids can retrive them. If you get close enough she grabs hair, faces etc and will scrunch you. With a mean look on her face I might add!!! Anyway must get to bed..

Kelli - :hug: sounds like you are having a rough time mate. I have been wondering bout u lately. Good that your DH went to the dr's and started to get some help. With the fear of leaving Seven with him, I think that its completely normal for you to feel the way u do when u r the main carer of Seven. My DF doesn't lift a finger to help out at all with Bella, there's always something more important, like reading the paper in the loo with the door firmly shut :rolleyes: and because of that, he has no idea how to sooth her, feed her or change her so I feel very anxious at the thought of ever having to leave her with him. I hope it all gets better real soon for you.

No teeth yet, but boy I am begging for them to come. Arabella is so sore. The little poo has started to sit unassisted now and is rolling all over the place. She has tried to push herself into a crawling position but she's super frustrated with it. Her hair is growing like weeds and is just so cute, all shiny and blonde. She's also babbling heaps and sounds as though she is saying mumma, dadda and bubba. Since we came back from Sydney she has taken to sleeping in an extra hour in the morning :dance: and we are still sleeping through the night which I am so loving cause she is tiring me out during the day needing to be occupied alot more.

Sue Bella is sounding very cute!!! I wish Poppy's hair would take off, it grew a bit then stopped?? Clever miss sitting by herself, and love the mummma, dadda, bubba, Poppy is saying mummmm mummm mumma, but only when she is tired etc. Yesterday I thought she said dad, but has'nt said it since.

Today I caught up with a few friends at an indoor play centre, Nae came along as well, as per usual we talked up a storm, 4 hours straight, she is doing well and bubbs is all cosy and warm inside doing all the right things. Fantastic news:dance:

Hi everyone.

I hope everyone had a good easter/weekend. We had a good one. On Friday we went to the Family fun day for the Good Friday appeal and that afternoon we went around to SIL's house for dinner. We spent the rest of the weekend at their house too. Molly was very well behaved. Nephew (DN8) is spending the night here tonight. He makes me laugh. He asked me if DH could take Molly to work tomorrow so we could have fun together without her. Molly just loves him and can't take her eyes off DN. The only problem is that DN has a baby brother 4 months older and is over babies and takes no notice of her. :lol:

We are still trying for solids but Molly is just not interested. I don't force the issue. We had some chips tonight and she noshed on that for a while. She also likes crumpets and toast. I tried to give her some chocolate today and she spat it out (good girl :lol: I gave it to her to try because I was eating it in front of her)

Pam how nice to catch up with Nae. I am just so happy for her! Well at least Poopy said mumma first. No chance of getting that out of Em now she has discovered dadda but she only ever whispers it..its very cute!

Sue-Hair lucky Bella! Oh I wish we had hair!!! I have thick hair but I don't think Em is going too...more like her father there! Its great when they can sit up isn't it. Though emily can get onto her tummy now and then she's off. she doesn't crawl properly but she can get around somehow!

Kell- I'm so glad your DH had a good experience with the dr and wants you there. How did work go?

Well I offically accepted my promotion today so I need to work out when I'm going back to work and then find daycare. So don't want to. :(

eej - wow a promotion, thats great news. I nearly died when my brother told me they pay $550 per week for care in Sydney. I cant wait to use bows and clips in Bellas hair cause Minilala have some really cute hair accessories.

Pam - that's great to hear about Nae's baby, I am so excited for her. I am getting scared at Bella learning to talk, I think I need to talk to DF and get him to curb some of his language, I'd hate for them to be in her vocab :rolleyes:

Donna - Bella has to taste everything that I eat in front of her. She loves food, just like her mummy LOL....

Arabella sounds as though she's getting a cold :rolleyes:, I still need to get her jabs done, I have been mega slack. Got my pap done though but need to go for a US and mamogram cause I have a lump in my boob.... I keep thinking that my mum got her first bout of boob cancer at 36 and just crapping myself.
K off to hang out the nappies and do something with the bigs for their last day with me. We have done heaps this hol's, even a spot of bushwalking with my big a$$ pram, it was a sight.

How nice are the minilala clips sue! I just won one of their nappies in the nappy lottery I'm so excited!!!

Donna, Matthew's a bit like Molly on the uptake of solids. It's been very hit and miss, mostly miss. So I'm really, really glad that I put the date back for when I'll be returning to work.

Pam, that's so good that Poppy is saying mummmm. I'm ever hopeful of hearing mummmm from Matthew! I had to crack up though the other day when I was in Griffith and I was chatting away to this bloke who'd done a wheel alignment on my car. Anyway, he asked me how old Matthew was and was looking down at him when all of a sudden, Matthew "said" what sounded like a very clear "hello". It was such a funny moment. The bloke was amazed: "Did you hear that? Is he talking already?" I was telling my DP later and DP said I should have answered: "Oh that? :rolleyes: Yeah, but he's hopeless at long division."

Angie, Madeline sounds like a real cutie. Those net fruit/vegie holders are great. Matthew's really enjoying chewing on grapes using it. Haven't tried banana after discovering how banana stains everything black! As for her waking pattern, it would probably be her teeth or a growth spurt coming up. Matthew does the same thing when his teeth are coming through. I feel for you!

Wow time is flying by, haven't been able to get on lately as we are renovating with Madeleine that is no easy task.

Hope everyone had a nice easter, we spent the whole time drivng around melbourne to see the family but it was ok.

Madeleine is crawling around so fast now, I actually went and bought some wooden pens today as I can't watch her all the time & with all the tradies & dangers associated Im a little paranoid she'll pick up & eat something terrible.

We have the nurse this week coming, so I'm looking forward to seeing how much she's grown, on the hair aspect she's got really thick hair but it hasn't grown any length and somehow its getting lighter.

I see a bit of talk about solids, Madeleine has taken a step backwards in eating recently she seems to want more formula than food which isn't a problem but I haven't really been feeding her exciting foods. Of those who give toast ... do you put anything on it?

Kerry - I am so scared of whooping cough. When I was at the chemist the other day this baby was crying and barking so much and he looked absolutely awful, almost on deaths door. The mother couldn't give a hoot and kept shopping, I just bolted out of there so quickly. Yep, hopefully can get my mamogram done next week, thankgoodness all of my milk is gone or it'd be very messy getting the big squash LOL.

CJ - I put vegemite or avocado on Arabella's toast, it's a pita though cause it makes so much mess and I have to bath her after it. Maybe she wants the bottle more cause she is teething???

awww Liberty still has zilcho hair (if you couldn't tell by my fb photos of her) and no signs of talking anytime soon... so envious!! as for the hair clips they look adorable so i use headbands atm! i can't wait until i can put hair clips in her hair!!

whooping cough must be about because when i was down at big w in lismore nsw over easter i heard a baby with it, the parents continued shopping but this poor baby looked sooooo ill and its cough sounded so bad. i was so worried for the baby but also worried for liberty even though she's been immunised i still made brett take her out of the shop.

Nicambhar - hope your mammogram goes well! i can't believe how much your brother pays a week for care either - YIKES!! how many kids is that for? when i first started working in child care it was full price $43 per day, mind you that was 6 years ago now. before i left i think it was $60 something, not sure.
kbowman - we're big fans of those net fruit/veg holdery thingies here too. i actually have two now so i always have one available. if i get stuck i put in frozen watered down fruit juice cubes.

my little princess is cutting 2 teeth at the moment! finally we can see teeth!! but wow she has screamed down the place for two days straight... wouldn't wish teething on my worst enemy poor darling.
