Wow that was a lot of reading I missed lots
indie24 poor you hun I know exactly how you feel, I was having the same problems with Eireann a few weeks back. she sorted her self out now (fingerscrossed). hope you get some rest.
Nicambhar when do you have your appointment hun thinking of you, your doing right play safe, oh hair slides I really cant wait to be able to Put some in Eireann hair :) that's so sad that your brother will only have the one child because of childcare being so expensive.
kbowman Eireann the same with her solids she is taking her time getting in to them. I never did a test in the end, I figured Im always sick and my GD kicks in as soon as Im pregnant so it just has to be my body trying to return to normal.I only had spotting and I mean a tiny bit of spotting for a day or two then its gone. weird but I say they are on the way back now.
eej congratulation on your job promotion well done, I cant wait for Eireann to have lots of hair as well its just typical that she has so little LOL my boys all had loads.
blackduckies that's just great for Nae im so happy for her. I had loads of Easter eggs but Im firmly back on my diet again if you can't go a bit wild at Easter when can you LOL.
Well Eireann is sleeping better not screaming the house down. She does have an awful cough though its not a constant cough but comes and goes but she coughs so hard that's she gets sick not every time she cough she was a bit better last night though she coughed very little . Im sooo glad she has had her injections now I know its not whooping cough. I had that when I was about 4 my mam didn't get us our injections because of some controversy at the time. I was very bad I missed school for weeks and I remember being so scared because when I coughed I couldn't breath I used to turn blue. my mam took my brother who was only a baby out of his cot and put me in it. but when I got pregnant on my DS1 I had heart palpitations so was sent off for tests and they found scar tissue on the valve in my heart caused by the whooping cough.
Oh I dont know when Eireann will crawl when I ever i put her down on her tummy she freezes and starts crying she hates it. I did catch her trying to pull her self up standing in her pram wont be putting her in it with out her straps any more just in case.
-
Hi All,
Just a quick one from me. Wayyyy too much to catch up on, as per usual!
Work was sucky, just as I thought, but I have to do what I have to do or we lose the house!
DH is better with Seven, but still gets stressed and panics easily with her, but has started to THINK more positive which is a good thing. He thinks the tablets are working, which they aren't because it's only been a few days, but if he is thinking positive I can't complain.
Im off to the Homeopath tomorrow to discuss Immunity Boosters for Seven as she has not been vaccinated. Still not sure how I feel about the whole idea of Contemporary Vaccines.....cross that bridge later!
Tried Seven out in her cot in her OWN ROOM yesterday and today for her naps. Once she was asleep she stayed their for her naps, but I didn't leave her there overnight as she still feeds a lot during the night. I wasn't going to get up and walk to her room all night!
Anyhoo, DH is out having a few drinks with mates (even though he's not really supposed to due to the medication) so I am going to have some R and R and play some games and do some cross stitch! Or just go to bed......
Love & Hugs to you all and thank you all for such wonderful support!
-
Just a quickie for me will BBL for personals....Emily didn't wake up during the night last night oh joy!!! I still did though! Its been so hard cause she was such a good sleeper when she was in our room and wrapped but since being out she doesn't sleep as well except for last night. Prob just a one off.
-
just a quick one today. I will come back for personals when Ashton is asleep.
He started clapping 3 days ago. And because everyone goes "YAY CLAP CLAP" he thinks it's a wonderful thing haha
He also turned around and said what clearly sounded like "Hello" when my friend said "hello Ash". It was hillarious.
-
Eireann has started clapping only the last two weeks as well Ive been trying to get her to do it for ages, then when she does it for me, I get all excited cause its sooo cute and DH goes what are you like she was doing that last week LOL:lol: so not fair stole my thunder LOL. only a quick look in from me tonight heading to bed soon.
eej thats great, always good when they do that and at least you know that eventually she will get back to sleeping all night again or most of it any way. Eireann still wakes up for feeds but after having the worst time of it were she wouldn't sleep at night she just screamed for most of it, she is back to wakening feed and sleep so im happy. hope it last why is it when ever you say oh they are great sleeping all night they have a few nights awake .
CalebsMum4Eva Im delighted to hear your DH is seeing things more positive baby steps eh, that's very interesting about homeopathic remedies instead of injections. let us know how you get on :D
-
Sorry another quickie from me cause Emily just got into a sitting position by herself....from her tummy to sitting up! My little monkey is getting clever!!!!
-
Hi ladies!!!!
Wow - reading what all the bubs are up too is great!! Remy is just rolling everywhere - no sign of crawling yet!! She LOVES food, and is starting to eat more chunky stuff, and more of what we eat - so very little puree-ing now!! It's so much easier when they can eat what you do.
And do you all want me to let you in on a little secret - I got a :bfp: on Friday - so my little Remy will hopefully get a sister or brother/playmate in her own age bracket - she was the main motivator for me - so hoping all goes okay. I'm 40, and well aware of things that can go wrong - but hoping all's fine! And as for the timing - bub will be due Christmas Day !!!!
Am I the first in this thread to go again???!!! Am I crazy???!!! Probably!!!??? Going to have to change my car - going to be very busy, but am thinking we will muddle our way through!!!!
Will keep you all posted how I'm going.
Hugs, Lee xo
-
lee well done and congratulations :dance: sending you lots of sticky vibes Eireann was my last ,makes me sad and happy strange i know , 4 is the limit lol
I thought i posted yesterday buts its vanished
-
just a quickie, Lee, that's fantastic news. Christmas day too, what great timing. I had my first baby on Christmas eve but he was due on new years day. Hope you have a smooth pg too.
gotta run and finish cleaning the pool while Arabella is sleeping. BBL xx
-
Congrats Lee!!! LOL yep you might be crazy but what's wrong with that :) Ye splease let us know how you get along!
-
Hi ladies.... we had needles today, FINALLY, 2 months late eeeekkkk. We weren't able to have the drop stuff though cause they need to have it by a certain age , silly mummy. The first needle was ok but the second one must have really hurt cause Bella spewed all over me just as it went in, poor baby. She cried so much and was calling "mumma mumma mumma"....
Sleepless night on the way me thinks, cause Bella's stirring and sooking again . BBL girls.. maybe;)
-
Hi everyone, I haven't been in much because sleep has been non existant. Sooo sooo tired. I'll just give a quick update because I doubt Ashlyn will be asleep for long. She now has 3 teeth, 2 bottom ones and one up the top on the side. Looks like she has fangs, lol. So many clever babies here, clapping and sitting up. Ashlyn has only just gotten the hang of sitting up, after she fell over and banged her head. She's still a very happy girl though, she's pretty cruisey so I'm not expecting her to do anything in a hurry.
Lee, Congratulations!!!! Fantastic news.
I will try to bbl for personals. Hope you're all doing well!
-
Hello Ladies!
Captain ~ Don't worry, Seven isn't crawling either and showing NO signs of being anywhere near doing it. She hates being on her belly. I reckon she will just walk! Poo bum about the sleeping, but I also hear you on that note, as Seven doesn't sleep for more than 45 mins during the day and 2hrs at night. Chin up, they grow up too fast and we wonder where our babies went!
Nic ~ Good luck with Arabella, heres hoping the needles haven't made her too grumpy for you. We still haven't immunised Seven, but I took her off to the homeopath the other day, and started her on a remedy. Lets see what happens....
Lee ~ Congratulations!!!!! Woo hoo! I am dying to be pregnant again, but I am not going to, not just yet anyway!!!! Good luck for a smooth pregnancy! Can't wait to follow your journey!
Us ~ DH is being much better with Seven. Went back to the Dr on Monday for a chat and it was all positive, so fingers crossed it stays that way!
Hi to all I have missed!
PS ~ I'm thinking of becoming a Doula! I've been to so many friends' deliveries its kind of the logical next step! I studied Midwifery but I wasn't going to be able to practice the way I wanted so I didn't finish. But I reckon I would make a pretty good Doula! I hope at least!
Love & Hugs
-
Hi girls -
Kell - I think being a doula would be a very wonderful job! I say go for it!!
And for those of us whose bubs are not crawling - enjoy!!! Remy is in the "launch" position and I'm already shopping for a few safety items - fire guard, gates etc etc!! Have to do some pool fencing too.
All ok with me so far - did my last prego test this afternoon (and will try not to buy more now!!) and my god it was DARK - it was almost BLACK!! I've never ever had one that dark - so off my mind wanders and conjours up "is it twins" - and guess I'd better ring my Ob now and get an appointment - I'll see him at 7 weeks, so another couple of weeks, just to make sure there's only one in there!! I swear if there's more than one, I'll be begging DH to get me a house girl lol !!
Keep you informed!!
Lee x
-
Kell - wow, being a doula would be such a rewarding job I think, you go for it girl. Glad to hear that your dh is getting better, it's so hard taking on so much by yourself, now if only my df would make an effort . He just doesn't get the many hands makes light work phrase.
Lee - Whoa, can u imagine twins, NOW, yeeeeiiiikes, that would be mega scary.
Captain - I aint been getting much sleep either, something in the air I think. Bella has been having awful nights this past week, I'm scared I might snap soon cause she has been waking nearly every half hour at night. She was soooo good before this crap started, she was sleeping throught the night and it was bliss. I knew that it would be too good to be true.
AFM, not sure if Bella is sick, teething or reacting badly to her imms. This all started on the day of the imms, she has had the runs so badly and has dreadful wind. I almost thought there was a loaded gun beside me last night, it was bang bang bang all night. And sleep, ha, what sleep, she is so grizzly and just plain miserable.
Well, off to bed, JIC it's another shocker, which I am positive it will be.
Nightie night. xx
-
Hi girls,
Lee congrats, I think the colour just depends on the test itself you could take another and it might not be that dark, good luck with it all, we extended the house bought the bigger car, we have room for another one now??!! lol:lol: No just kidding if I were younger, did'nt have the bleeding problems, I would but NOOOOO!!!! I'ii just be clucky over others news...
Sue, most likely a bug, if Bella did'nt have a problem with the other imms she should'nt now, according to the doc who did our last imms. Hope shes better soon:pray:
eej,:clap:yeah Emily it's so exciting when they start doing these things, but slow down, before we know it these bubs will be up and walking.
missymoo, Ashton continues to astound me, he is so advanded for his age wonder if he is going to be super smart or an olympic athlete or the like???
Captain, good luck with those house reno:doh:and getting a bit more sleep, we are going good at night but day sleeps are pretty hit and miss.... I'm putting it down to teeth.
Niamh, sounds like you and me in the same boat as far as another baby goes;) It would be sooo nice...Eireann is very clever with her hand clapping, my DH discovered Poppy could sit up before I got a chance to tell him, you would think he taught her how to do it???
Kell, glad this are going better with DH... a doula sounds fantastic, I'm not sure i would have the stomach for it, but I would love to still love to be a support person one day, it would have to be with someone else JIC though.
Hi to everyone who I missed hope you are all well and bubs too.
Poppy is now sitting, sometimes still falls over though. She is rolling everwhere, but can't get to where she wants to yet, boy she gets angry??? She has 2 teeth, sleep has cahnged lots, a couple of quick naps through the day and then she wants a longer one around tea time which I have to wake her up from, for some solids and last bottle, then she sleeps through the night, waking about 6am these days. She loves her solids, as soon as she sees them she gets antsy and while you give them to he she spends the whole time saying mmmmm....mmmmm..very cute. She alternates between saying mum and bubs at the moment, dad is lucking out...yesterday it sounded like she said "hello" must be just the sounds they make on the way to talking.
Anyway must go, I seem to get on less and less these days.:wall:
-
Pam - yeah I think it's a bug too cause I have some of the same symptoms now too. She is heaps better this morning and slept so much better last night. Probably had something to do with the massive day we had yesterday and the party we went to last night LOL, she was exhausted. Arabella loves her food too and she now weighs 9.7kg and boy do my hips and back feel every bit of it.
Hey all, hope you and bubs are well. xx
-
Sue 9.7kg nice size!!! Em is 9.1kg dressed I hope you are feeling better soon. We have colds AGAIN!!!! Not happy about it at all. Poor bubba is so snotty and then her eyes get runny to, its awful.
Pam I know they are growing up too quick all woll be 8 months soon! Yay for Poopy sitting and rolling. It won;t tak her long to stop getting stuck, that was Em jsut a few weeks ago and now she has no dramas. 2 teeth! We have nothing here, just a lot of drool!
Kell- I think you would make an awesome doula! Def do it! So glad DH is doing better. Hey we might be in SA in a few weeks. DH is going away for 2 weeks so I might go and visit my fam. Would love to see you if we end up going. Will let you know.
Lee- get the bloods done!!!!
Captain Ashlyn's mouth must look so cute with 3 teeth as I jsut said no sign of them here.
Mel- Clever ashton!!! He is a super bub...!
Donna- hope Molly is letting you get some more sleep lately?
Lauren- glad you got the nappy. Those pics of Liberty on FB are so cute!
And hello to those I missed!!
AFM nothing much really plodding along. ho hum
-
Eej, yep her mouth looks cute, but it's not so cute when she starts chewing on my shoulder. Tooth number 4 is on its way now. Hope you get over the cold quickly.
Sue, 9.7kg is a good size, I'm not surprised your back is feeling it. Ashlyn is now 8.6kg. She's slowed down so much in the weight gain, amazing considering how much she eats.
Pam, that's so cute that Poppy says mmmm when she's eating. I've been blaming the sleep problems on teeth too. I really hope that when the teeth are through she'll start sleeping soon.
Kell, what a great idea to become a doula. It would be such an amazing thing to do. Glad that your DH is doing better.
Hello to everyone I've missed. Hope it's all going well. Ashlyn has her 4th tooth coming down. It's like one breaks through and the next one starts moving. Other than that not much else has changed. I'm off to finish watching Madagascar 2. :D
-
Hi Ladies,
Just popping on quickly while doing some research....I have mastitis......:(. VERY painful and I want to chop it off! *sigh* Had the locum out tonight because I was crying so much. X fingers the AB's help. Friend also suggested some Blackmores stuff from my homeopath so might give her a call tomorrow.
Eej ~ Would absolutely LOVE to see you if you come to Adelaide! I think it would be so special to meet you and Emily!
Lee ~ You just keep on cooking that bubby girl! And buy as many tests as you want! LOL
Hi to everyone!
Love & Hugs
-
Congratulations, Lee! Wishing you a super sticky, super healthy pregnancy! Can't wait for you to find out whether you've got twins baking! Woohoo!!! How exciting!! :leap:
Sue, hope Bella doesn't have an infection or bug. It's awful seeing them sick, isn't it. Hope we're all getting good sleeps soon too!
Erin, rotten colds!! If only we could just stay home and not go out into germy shopping centres and the like!
Pam, how clever is little Poppy saying mum and bubs! Bet dad can't wait for his turn! Good weight too!!
Kell, becoming a doula sounds so rewarding! Glad your dh is starting to be more positive and with it. Hope the worries and stresses are fading now! OUCH at the mastitis!! Must have cross posted this morning! You poor thing!!
Yay, Mel and Niamh on your clever clapping bubbies! How cute!!
Lauren, I just love Brett's pictures of Liberty that you've posted on FB - she is a gorgeous little princess! I can't decide which is my favourite picture! Well done, Brett!
Hello everyone! Feels like weeks since I've posted. I've been having quick reads but not had the time to post as well. Also, we've been in Canberra for the week, spending some time with Matthew's dad. He was super busy but this week was apparently the best for a good while so we made the most of it. He cried when it was time for us to leave (I was pretty teary too). Not sure when we'll catch up again, could be a couple of months. :(
Matthew was also sick last week with really high temps. I was so worried I took him to the local hospital (community health centre) and the nurse took Matthew's temp when we arrived and it had risen to 40.54 degrees. Spent a few hours there waiting for the local doctor to finish his appointments at the medical practice. Turned out Matthew had a chest infection and the beginnings of an ear infection. So the regime since has been antibiotics every eight hours. Also gave Matthew a panadol suppository (not fun, poor boy screamed) because panadol liquid was being thrown up and then switched to nurofen liquid which seemed to go down a bit easier. Temps are now back to normal but has runny nose and is very snuffly.
He now has five teeth through (three on top and two on bottom) and a sixth is on its way, judging by the drool and gum rubbing. Not crawling yet but sits up well and has a good rolling action. I got down on the floor and rolled with him this morning and he thought it was hilarious!
Got to go, Matthew is awake again! Love to you all.
-
Hi girls,
Hope you have all enjoyed our Anzac weekend. My daughter was in Canberra at the Dawn Service (she's nearly 12) so it was a pretty special moment for her.
Not that I'm usually tuned into commercial tv, but did any of you catch that story on Channel 9 tonight on the latest outbreak of whooping cough - the story largely followed the death of a 4 week old baby girl. God it was so heartbreaking to see her parents talk of her, and her short life, with video images aswell. I'm not meaning to open up any controversial debates here re. to vaccinate or not - but I for one am so glad my Remy has had her 3 lots of whooping cough vaccinations now. I just felt so sad for those parents, I guess because I have lost a baby, this sort of thing always tears at my wounds... :(
Anyway - just checking in on you all and saying howdy!
Lee x
-
Hi guys,
Lee I did see and watch that show tonight. Very sad indeed, especially since the baby wasn't even old enough to be immunised yet. Not fair is it? :(
Seven is not vaccinated - yet. I want to wait until she is 2yrs old and has had a chance and natural immunity.
But, in saying that, after arguing with DH YET AGAIN about it, and him bringing it up in front of his parents so I looked like the evil one...I have decided that if I can vaccinate for Pertussis (Whooping Cough), seperately, I will.
Dont worry about bringing up controversial topics, we are all pretty good in here and respect everyones decisions! I'm a walking contradiction myself. DS is fully vax'd, and I am an RN and work with NeoNatal babes, and do immunisations on them! So I kind of shocked myself when I started thinking about not vaxxing.
Anyhoo - off the beaten track I go.....
Mastitis is clearing up slowly already thanx to the Dr. But BOY O BOY is it painful! Yeouch. Never had it before!
I am so proud of myself today, because I made a "Buddy Tag" for Seven, along with a Toy Rescuer that matched. Basically its a material dummy chain and matching toy chain! Going to make a few for friends as gifts as well!
Anyhoo, I really should be in bed but not tired!
Love and Hugs to all.
-
Kell, glad the abs are working. Mastitis is soo painful. Hope your all better soon.
Lee, yeah whooping cough is pretty horrible, it nearly got me once when I was a bub and I had it really bad again when I was 8. I still remember the time I was in the car with mum and I couldn't breathe. It was pretty scarey.
Kerry, it's good that you were able to spend time with Matthew's dad. Chest infection, poor little guy, hope he gets better quickly.
Ashlyn is having a hard time with her top front tooth. I'm guessing because it's bigger than some of the others? Oh well, Danielle is staying at my moms so I might actually be able to have a little nap today. Better go, Ashlyn is absolutely covered in strawberries and yogurt, I think she might need a bath.
-
Lee how you feeling now :D
CalebsMum4Eva you poor thing I had matatitis on DS3 I dont remember ever feeling so sick , the pain was unberable I also remember the doctor telling me I had to give up Breastfeeding and I said to Him I cant LOL Shane would not take a bottle and I wasnt prepared to listen to him cry when I could feed him and it helps you get better. mind you it was so painful for the fisrt few minutes on till the let down started. but any way I hope your feeling better soon and take it easy.
kbowman ahhhh any chance you two will work it out to be closer together. fair play to you going over so you can all spend time together that's great. Im glad Mathew is feeling better now. all those teeth Eireann is still gummy but I think I can see one in the gums makes a change Shane was born with two.
Pam yep I think I'm ok with it, Dh says he will get the snip Im not encouraging him only because its so final and takes away your choice all together . you never know. how are you getting on with the weight loss :) Im trying hard now loads of exercise and weight watchers did well over Easter only put up a pound over all and I was like a pig had loads of chocolate. LOL I hope I get to see Eireann take her first steps she is already making babbling noises and they sound a but like DADA GRRRR LOL
well all is going well for us at the minute Eireann has shown loads of interest in food now and is eating two spoon feeds a day. she is trying to pull her self upstanding but cant really support her self yet.
I got a period well its very light more spotting really but I think it is one :( back to that
I better run Eireann has decided she is not happy on the floor and is giving out lots LOL
-
Hmmmm, looks like Arabella is the only one without teeth. STILL no sign whatsoever of them, plenty of dribble, runny poops and sore ears though .
eej - yep Bella is a whopper now, I sort of can't wait til she can get around on her own so I don't have to keep bustin a valve lifting her . I am now buying her size 1, so sad cause I keep looking at the ooooo's that were too big on her.
captain - I hope Bells weight slows down soon, she just loves her food too and prefers to eat than have milk during the day.
Kel - ooooohhher, hope you get better asap. I've only had mastitis once and I can still remember the searing pain of trying to massage it out. Rest up, if you can that is..
Lee - was such a sad story wasn't it. As much as I didn't want to immunise I did it and am kind of glad I did now.
Kerry - oh how nice that Mathew has had some more time with his daddy. Wow, that was quite a temp the little fella had. I think Bella has had so much panodol and nureofen that she is immume to the stuff now LOL.
Niamh - are you back here in Australia???? Standing, holycow, my little lady is taking her jolly time with her milestones.
ETA: Just looked at Arabella's ticker, she is 8 months old today. Where oh where has the time gone - boo hoo
-
Sue, I've started putting Matthew into size 1s as well. Not sure how much he weighs right now, last weigh in was a couple of weeks ago and was when he was sick and he was 9.55kg dw. He's only just started to eat more rice cereal, etc, in the past few days. Poor little tike is probably very hungry because he can't really breathe and b/f at the same time.
Niamh, no chance of us being together while I'm at Lake Cargelligo. But I'm hoping to get a transfer closer to Canberra so that I can stay working in the NSW system and be closer to his dad.
Tenille, hope Ashlyn's tooth is through soon. With Matthew's, it was miserable for him for days after the top teeth cut through.
Kel, glad the mastitis is clearing up! And aren't you clever! The buddy tags and toy rescuers sound a great idea!
Lee, you must have been very proud of your DD going to the dawn service in Canberra. I took Matthew to the mid-morning service at the memorial park here. I missed the tv program but it sends shivers down my spine, especially as the MCHN here is only just getting over whooping cough that she picked up in Melbourne on holidays. She fractured ribs from the coughing. I can't imagine how horrible it must be for an infant to get it.
Matthew's turned into a Snot Monster. It's just bubbling out of his nose, clear and quite runny. That and the dribble from him teething again makes for a very wet face and noisy breastfeeding! I've got a heater going in the bedroom and a vapouriser (wish it could vapourise people, I'd start with my noisy neighbours who have been chopping wood at odd hours again. It's going to be a long winter!). Took him to the doctor's yesterday and his chest infection has cleared up and his ear is looking better. No more antibiotics, as the ten days is up, hurrah. And I had a flu shot. A little sore but not too bad.
-
Kerry - I bet it's freezing down your way. We have had a sudden drop in the night temps and it's a bit of a shock. Bella's first size 1 outfit was the same one that Mathew has on in your ticker picture but in the red, she looks funny in the stripey one that came with it.Hope Mathew gets better soon....
-
I am just stopping in quickly to say hi.
Sue, Molly doesn't have any teeth yet either.
We have had a busy few days. DH dad had a massive heart attack last Thursday so the last few days have been taken up visiting him. He was released fromm hospital on Monday and seems to be doing much better. Although apparently yesterday he felt good and decided to go for a walk. He made it as far as the letter box and felt so bad ha had to go back inside. FIL is like a machine he never stops working etc so to see him like this i a little scary.
Molly did really well. Most of the time while we were at the hospital you couldn't tell there was a baby there. She was so quiet and happy. She had fun sitting on the bed with herr poppy watching the footy. Although she did try to rip[ his drip out a couple of times
Lee- congrats.
-
Hi Ladies!
Kerry ~ Yep the Mastitis is all cleared up now thank the starts! Thanks about the Buddy Tags. Speaking of which I am looking for some "testers" if anone is interested!!!! Let me know!
Donna ~ Hoping DH Dad is going to be ok.
Me ~ DH being a poo poo head again. Not with Seven, just with housework, so he got a meany message on text this morning! LOL Lets see if it works.
Love & Hugs to all!
-
What are Buddy Tags? I must have missed the post about that... (or it could be bad mummy brain :) )
-
Donna - I'm having a stab at the buddy tags,I think they are the blankets with ribbon loops all round the outside. I have seen those taggie's in shops for rediculous amounts of money, even though Arabella would have a super time with them cause she's always sucking on tags on her teddies or clothes. LOL... Yay that my little poop isn't the only one that is still gummy. My mum was talking to a lady last week and her child was 19 months old and only just got her first four teeth :o.
Kell - glad to hear the Mastitis is better. That a girl, keep dh on his toes. I have to keep on at my bloke every single day to help out, and they wonder why we badger them all the time
AFM, not much, just trying my damnest to keep Bella occupied all day. Boy it's getting hard. I have resorted to taking a 2 hr walk each day which she just loves and need I say how good it is for my rear end LOL... We are sitting really well unasissted now, some days she will try to get onto her knees but it's just too much effort I think. And like I said to Donna,no teeth... back to better nights sleep now and also back to having a 1 am bottle. ahhh well, least she's sleeping good again.
Tootles for now, gonna make the most of the P&Q..
-
Hello All :)
Buddy Tags sound like a brilliant Idea Eireann loves them as well more so than the toy at time Im interested. all though I am a bit far away now Im still in Ireland. no work for my DH and they have stopped isueing visa for most trades now as well so we will be home for a good whie now. Im ok with that IM enjoying the long evenings and warm days summer is on the way. just hope it doesnt rain for the whole of it .
Eireann is still gummy too I thought I could see a little white in her gum nope no sign of any thing yet, she is very demanding as well but sleeping ok (touch wood)
CalebsMum4Eva glad your on the mend, hope DH listens for his own good of course LOL
indie24 hopw is your FIL I hope feeling a whole lot better now.
kbowman DH took a picture of Eireann when she had her cold and caught a huge snot bubble out of her nose LOL one for the 21 party I think. I hope it all works out for you and Matthew dad :D
hope every one else is dping well and sorry if I have missed any one take care girls xxxx
-
Hi girls, I have been meaning to get on but.... at the moment I am feeling really down??? Just really busy and have'nt got time to do anything constructive....for me or anyone else, always in and out of the house!!!! I find I am starting to withdraw from life, looking for excuses not to do things etc. I even thought about dropping out of BB but will force myself to find the time, I feel so much better for it.:wall:
Niamh weight loss is out the window, I just can't get focused, DH told me I can do lite n easy but I find it hard to justify it being worthwhile, cost wise, but I should i always put everyone before me, maybe it's my time?? Sounds like you are settled at home, a bit more support always is good.
Sue, did you keep doing it, l(ite n easy)? the walk everyday sounds great, the benefits of one in the pram. I have to wait until DH gets home, then its too busy with tea and everything. How are your hips and pelvis going now? I always wonder when I get off then forget to ask the next time.
Kerry my kids all have there second round of colds, DS sneezed at the post office the other day, OMG talk about embrassing and of course he did'nt have any tissues left?? So I had to ask if I could have one of theirs, which they were only too willing to hand over, must have been worried about snot on there goods;) Great you got some quality time with DP, not so great the time frame between visits.
Kel, still not 100% sure about what these buddy tags are but they sound interesting, good one you for getting them done. DH sounds like he is really struggling, I hope you he is doing better soon.
Indie, how is FIL doing...??? stressful, scary situation for the whole family.
Lee hope you are feeling well.
Big waves to everyone hope all is well in your world.

Hi Girls!!!
How is everyone? We are just plodding along not much going on. Emily still doesn't have any teeth and isn't really doing anything new..ho hum!
I did have my flu shot but doc wouldn't give Em one.
Pam- Hugs, you do sound really down. I hope you feel better soon...maybe go and have a chat to someone? IYKWIM
Kerry- Love the name change!!!
Indie- How scary for your fam! Good on Molly for behaving so well.
Niamh- So you are back home in Ireland for good now? Nice to have 2 summers in a row!
Sue- I hear you on entertaining! Its so hard...a 2 hour walk sounds awesome for you. When Emily is bored she just squeals!

hi girls,
i feel so bad that i never get on to check what you're all up to unless you're on facebook (and then i sticky beak whenever i get a chance!!). i don't even get a chance to read all the emails. i mainly facebook and sometimes update my website and that's all i ever get time for and sometimes it can be a few days in between that. i have about 600 emails in my hotmail inbox because i don't even have time to sort through them, i read the most important and leave the others for the "one day" when i'll get a chance.
liberty still wakes a lot at night so i sleep with her in the day and during the day she has one or two sleeps of about 2-3 hours in total. but when she has it all in a row it's so good!! i'm not minding the night time waking up as much anymore, i am starting to realise how fast time has gone already and that this waking up all night won't be forever.
quick update from us...
- first tooth the day before good friday and she's just sprouted her second
- still no hair except her mullet at the back
- she sits well, crawls properly and can pull herself up on furniture. not so good for accidents though, she pulled herself up onto a toddler chair at her nannas house and i was right next to her and then she leaps forward really quickly knocking her pop's glasses and dumb me goes for the glasses rather then the baby and so i dropped the glasses and grabbed her but not before she knocked her eyebrow on their coffee table - bad mum award goes to me... :S
- she still hates the car *sigh*
- still on pureed food and depending on her mood and hunger will depend on how much she eats, she can eat a whole jar though in one sitting. if her gums are sore she goes on a hunger strike until sleep time and just feeds every half hour in her sleep. crazy girl. although i think life's too short for breastfeeding for her, she just wants to play.
- still feeds a lot (day and night). probably only 2 (although sometimes 3) breastfeeds a night and maybe 6 or more in the day.
- she hit the 8kg mark a few weeks ago so i'm guessing about 8.3kg now? she still puts on weight slowly which is surprising for how much she seems to eat. very long in length though and so with her mcns on fits a size 1 in bonds jumpsuits. the arms are just a bit long on her.
- she pulls herself up in the cot now and it's soooo cute, last night she had a sleeping bag on and still managed to stand up holding the cot rails in her sleeping bag, dummy in her mouth and looking at me like rescue me!! just adorable!!
pam and indie - big cuddles to you *hugs*
niamh and pam, my weight loss has gone to crap too. i have totally lost all motivation and all my self control has dissapeared. i ate nearly half a tub of betty crocker icing over the weekend - that's 30g of fat - YIKES! and i ate loads of chocolate cake, ok i'm not going to go into it. far too depressing....
g2g she woke up!!

Hi everybody.
First I will just let you all know that FIL is doing well and improving rapidly. I think they are coming to visit in the next week or so. It will be good to see them.
Pam - you do sound really down. I agree with eej maybe chat to someone if you feel the need :) I wish I was heading down that way soon so we could catch up but mum is heading down here for more tests. She keeps telling me don't get cancer... pfft like I get a choice :)
Sue - Molly is the same with having to be entertained all day.. although the last few days she is cracking it if we go for a walk in the pram.
Niamh - 2 summers in a row. Lucky you. Hehe gotta love future 21st photos.
We had our 8 month visit to the health nurse and Molly is doing great. She now weighs 8.9kg and is 70cm long. She is still in the 75th percentil for height and weight. As for the actual visit the nurse had me so angry I left with tears of anger in my eyes. She made me feel like the worst mum and that I was doing everything wrong. I am fairly confident with how I am bringing up Molly so I hate to think what she is like with mothers who are not so confident.
It sounds like a lot of babies are ahead of Molly in there motor skills. Molly is only just sitting up by here self for a few minutes at a time. Before that she wouldn't sit or would throw herself backwards.
Does anyone have tips to get her to eat vegies. I asked my nurse and she told me that Molly should only have mashed stuff. I am not doing BLS but am thinking of just boiling the veges soft and letting her nosh on them. I think I am 1/2 and 1/2 in the feeding areas. I have been giving her sandwiches that she mangles and noshes on, pikelets and she loves crumpets. The nurse had a pink fit when I told her what she was eating. Apparently you don't introduce finger food til 9 months :p I DON't agree with her there.
Has anyone turned their carseats around to front facing? I have left Molly rear facing because she has been happy to do that but she has just discovered where I actually sit in the car and is crackig it cause she cant see me.
Sorry if I have missed anyone. Take care all

Hehe, thanks, Erin! I was wondering if anyone would notice my name change, lol. I've been thinking for a while that kbowman is very boring. I was very uninspired when I first joined BB and just went for my first initial and the name of the street where I happened to be living at the time. I'm now on Twitter too as Cheekyfrog. Like I need another internetty thing! Matthew's doing the squealing thing too - he sounds like a little piggy!
Matthew is still getting over his cold, but I've taken away the hankies that I'd put baby balsam on to after reading that Vicks vaporub is not only ineffective but can cause respiratory problems and lead to extra mucus production. I thought I was getting another cold too but it seems to have disappeared, just had the sore throat and a pesky cough for a couple of days. His sixth tooth looks like it's down now, so that's two on the bottom and four on the top. I'd rather he still had no teeth, though! He accidentally nips me now and then when he falls asleep at the breast. Ouch!
Donna, what did that health nurse say to you to upset you? You sound like you're doing a fabulous job with Molly, phooey to the nurse :p I haven't got advice on BLS with veges as Matthew's not really into fingerfoods yet, except to play with them. He only enjoys biting thick slices of cucumber. And some toast, now and then. The rest of the time, it's pureed fruit or veg or rice cereal (made up with breastmilk, doesn't like it with water). I haven't turned the carseat around yet, hoping to hold off as long as possible. I've got a mirror set up so that I can see him and he can see himself (he likes looking at himself!) and most of the time, he sleeps on our drives. I'm so pleased that your FIL is doing so well. Hope your mum gets good results from the tests that she has to have done.
Lauren, you sound busy! Liberty is doing well to be crawling and pulling herself up to standing position. Matthew's a good sitter and a good roller, but still waiting to see him crawl. I love seeing Liberty's pictures on FB - she's such a cutie. I love the way you dress her.
Pam, big hugs for you  :comfort: I kind of know what you mean about getting depressed about not getting anything done. The mess here is burgeoning out of control. I'm going to get the woman who will be looking after Matthew when I go back to work next month to mind him for an hour tomorrow, just so that I can change the bedsheets, pick clothes up off the floor and sort some out to take to St Vinnies. I would die of embarrassment if a house inspection was sprung on me. And I can't invite anyone over with the way the house is either. :( I get lonely too and start worrying about lack of stimulation for Matthew. I'm buying more and more toys for him to compensate.
Niamh, Eireann will love that picture showing up at her 21st! An Irish summer sounds gorgeous. Think of us shivering away, won't you! :p
Sue, way to go on the two-hour walks!! I'm trying to extend our walks but my dog goes on strike! She lies down and just waits for me to turn around to head home. Funny old thing. I need to get my fitness levels back up. I'm a bit worried that I'm losing weight despite eating rubbish. Hoping it's just the breastfeeding and lugging Matthew around. I've bought a new set of scales today, jic the old ones are fibbing to me!
Kell, I'll test out a toy rescue tag for you - let me know how much they cost and I'll buy a few off you!! I think they're a great idea. How did your DH go with the meany text about the housework? I wish I had someone to help with the housework! I'm at the point where I need professional help and a couple of skips!
Hello to everyone else, lurking or otherwise! *waves* Hope all is well!

Kerry, I like the name change! Thanks for the info about baby balsm, I hadn't heard that before. I've had a couple of bites too, OUCH!
Donna, good to hear that FIL is doing well. Don't listen to the health nurse. They seem to be so set in there ways that they wont listen to any other ideas. With the vegies, I just steam them and I give them to Ashlyn first so that she has a bit of a chew on them before she sees other things on our plates. Once she sees bread or meat the vegies get thrown! She really seems to like the bigger vegies, like brocolli and beans because they are easier to hold.
Lauren, wow thats so cute that she can pull herself up on things. I've been bad on the weight loss to. I just can't seem to give up the chocolate. Argh, I've only got 3 weeks until I have to squeeze myself back into uniform.
Pam, I hope your feeling better. You sound like you're in desperate need of a break. We're always here if you need a chat.
Sue, I remember doing the 2 hour walks about the same age with Danielle. It was the best way to lose weight. I would love to do it now, but Danielle just can't go for that long. She can only make it to the shops and most the way back, but then I have to carry her while pushing the pram.
Kell, glad the mastitis is all clear up. The buddy tags look great.
Ashlyn has a shocking cold. She's had a temp since Monday and it developed into a fever yesterday. Poor little thing sounds like a cat purring when she is sleeping. Hope she gets better soon. I hate seeing the poor thing look so sick.
BBL, sounds like she is awake.

Oh my it sounds like we have a few sick bubbas! I'm worried Emily's cold has turned into croup. She is so wheezy so we are off to the doc this afternoon, but first we have to take my BFF to have an ultrsound done, she found some lumps in her breast. Keep your fingers crossed for her. The doc thiks they should be ok but wants them checked anyway. Scary since her mum has bowel and liver cancer.
Donna- Yeah don't worry about the nurse, we stopped seeing them when Em was tiny! They just didn't agree with anything I wanted to do!
Captain- 3 weeks oh bugger....are you going back full time?
Kerry- thanks for the info on the vicks, I was thinking this morning about going down the street to get some to see if it will help but I'll steer clear now! So many teeth for Matthew!!! Emily has not oNE!
Lauren- way to go Liberty! Emily is trying to pull herself up on things but isn't strong enough in the legs and then falls down so we have tears!
I hope everyone has a wonderful mother's day! The first for a few of us. My DH isn't going to be home tho, he leaves for 2 weeks on friday :(
