Hey kiddos! Meg I remember feeling the same, hating any pressure on my belly in early pregnancy.

What is it with In the Night Garden? It's what got Riv into tv. :P He's watching Tellytubbies right now.

Annat, keep in mind that Ergo's need an infant insert to start with. I need to try on someone's Ergo I think, so I can make good comparisons between it and my Pikkolo! Oh, and I loved my Mei Tais and my Pouch in pregnancy, because I could carry a kid on my hip with the pouch, belly no problems, and the MT you can do up over the belly, just carry the kiddo a bit higher. Handy. :P

Ness, how fast are they growing!? Gotta say I like it though, I'm so lazy, it's nice when they become a bit more independant.

Yay on the car Annat and the pram Shell!

How's Jesse Kell? It's worrying when they're sick isn't it.

Speaking of sick, Rans is the only healthy one here, Riv and I are sick too. Blah. I messaged mum with 'are you awake'? at about 9am, and she called back going 'ahhh you too hey?' :P She's bringing soft tissues. At least it's runny mucous, not too hard for Si to give a good snort and he's all clear. :D

River STINKS at the moment...and I really should change his nappy...any moment now...

Great score on the car Anna. Let me know how the kluger goes, that's what we're in the market for.

bummer about you all being sick Nelle. Don't smack me for this, but it's hot up here. We even went swimming in our pool on the weekend!! Hope you all start to feel better soon.

b - I hear you on the tt. Nina is going quite well with it, she's telling me when she needs to do a poo now. Just before at the shops I was changing Emily on the change table, and Nina wanted to go to the toilet to do a poo. Unfortunately I couldn't get Emily changed in time so Nina did it in her nappy. But she's real eager to go on the toilet now.
Both girls are sleeping, so I'm off to have a nap myself. My house looks like a bomb has hit it, but who cares.

aarrrrggghhhh, I'm soooo tired today. Emily had me up at 4am wanting to play! And I didn't get to sleep till around midnight last night as it was. :wall:

Nina is going really well with tt. She insists on doing poos on the toilet, and everytime she does a wee, she taker her nappy off. I think her being in kindy will help as well. Half of the littlies in their are toilet trained already.

Off to go and have a cup of tea. Supposed to be going to Playgroup this morning, but really couldn't be bothered. I'm too tired and I can't think properly. Plus I'm still in my pj's.

Well it is sunny again in Melbourne! What a bonus, 2 days in a row!
J is no way ready for toilet training. He will sometimes do a wee on the potty. He sits on it and makes lots of Pssss noises, then he is just as likely to wee on the floor.
Anyway he is always a little slower on reaching milestones, so I am not going to push him.

We are off to playgroup this mornings. So should be good.

SIL is returning home to Australia in a week and a half. Can't wait, as she will be living with us for a while. Can do with the extra pair of hands. Also as she has nott seen J since we were in London, she is super keen to look after him.

Oh - almost forgot Shell, it is not slap cheek, it is eczma.

Hey yall..

Well what a horrible past few days in my house.

Jesse and my girlfriend's son both picked up a gastro bug on Friday while we were out at Rouse Hill shops.

At about 8.30pm Saturday Jesse threw up in bed. Put him in the bath. He was freaking out big time as hes never been sick before. Got him out and dressed and he continued to be sick. That went on for about 2 hours. Wouldnt drink anything. Called a help line as i had no idea what to do, hes alway been so well. They suggested taking him to hospital as he was lathargic, pale and wouldnt drink. So called the IL's to look after Keira and went down to hospital around 11pm. Stupid woman on reception.. had to spell Jesse's name to her 3 times in the mean time Jesse was being sick and screaming. Ehh sorry just topped it off. But then were told by a nurse to give him 7mls water which we measured out into a seringe every 10 minutes. He was happy to take that but just wanted more, even though we werent allowed to give any more than that every 10 minutes. He ended up keeping that all down and fell asleep in the pram (while waiting for the doctor) for about half an hour. But then woke as he couldnt get comfortable. There was still several hours wait as there was 3 people on life support that night and the doctors were attending to them.. so we decided to take him home to try and rest at about 2am as he hadnt thrown up for 2 hours. Got home and he was sick again. Was just so lathargic. So pulled out a matress onto the lounge room floor and tried to sleep with him on it. He slept there off and on until about 3.30am when Keira woke for a feed. DH attended to her and i decided to try putting Jesse back in bed. He fell asleep holding my hand my poor little baby. And slept until about 7.30am Sunday. He then had 2 very watery poos around 9am. Continued to wanting to drink lots of water which was good and had a piece of toast with vegemite that morning. Seemed like back to his old self running around and playing etc in certain periods then just tired in others.He then went down for a nap and woke a few hours later. Brought him out and he threw up again 3 times. So decided to call the doctor and just get him checked out. She was great, checked him all over, just said to keep up his fluids (only give small amounts every 10 minutes as the hospital told us), get him some Gastrolyte, which we had and up until then he wouldnt drink it. So went back home. We got him to drink some of that stuff by watering it down at first then he got onto it full strength. Temperature then came on. Gave him some panadol. Took 45 minutes to kick in. But calmed him down alot when it did. He then slept in his bed. Woke at midnight and was whimpering and crying until about 3am Monday out in the lounge room. Then ended up falling asleep and was awake again at 5am doing the same. Was rolling around the lounge room just so upset and so sick. Was taking the gastrolyte but i could only give him the 7mls every 10 minutes and he was asking for more, and was getting upset when i couldnt give it to him. Gave more panadol for the temperature that was still there. He then had the runs and fell asleep eventually around 9ish. Then the same just continued to happen for the rest of the day. He was so so sick. I felt so bad for him there was nothing i could do. DH then got then got the runs. Around 5pm he was throwing up really bad. MIL had been here since she'd been home from work and she then threw up also. Think it was from hearing DH being sick though as she has a week stomack. DH then went to bed. I sent MIL home. And was left to look after Keira and a sick little boy! By this time Jesse was falling asleep again on his little fold out lounge. Keira started playing up so i was in her room trying to settle her so she would disturb Jesse. Settle her and come out to find him playing with his cars! I was shocked. His temperature was completely gone (he'd had it for 24 hours). We sat at the table and drew. He was so wobbly on his feet though. So sad. But he ended up getting tired around 8.30pm and i put him to bed where he slept until 5am this morning.. which was great. He really needed that sleep. I slept on the lounge just hoping i dont get it from DH. Keira fed then at 10pm and didnt wake until 4am this morning for her next feed, which was great also.. i was so buggered and needed the sleep. Jesse today is so much better. He's had 2 runny nappies and is so wobbly still on his feet. He looks so skinny. He lost 1kg in 2 days. But he has eaten 2 arrowroot biscuits through today and is still drinking lots. So i think hes on the road to recovery. Hes asleep in bed atm. DH seems to be getting better.. is just very sore and warn out today.
So far *TOUCH WOOD* Keira and i havent had it and am praying neither of us, especially her, get it. I pray Jesse or her never get it again, but i know theyre kids and they will. That was the worst 3 days of my life seeing Jesse that sick. He was so ill. His eyes were all sunken in and red and glassy and he was white as a ghost. Was so horrible to see my little baby boy like that.

Im going to go make the most of the time both my kids are asleep and try and sleep some myself.
I hope everyone is doing well.
Ill be back to catch up once our house is back in order and everyone is better.

OK, well where do I start with an update?

Paigey is so much fun and full of life. She talks non stop, sings words to songs and dances like a mad woman! She has just moved from her cot to her big girls bed without toooooo much drama *knock on wood*. She has started indicating when she wants to do a no.2 and will request for her nappy to be off, but doesn't yet use the potty - usually she makes it onto the tiles in the bathroom next to the potty. She is in daycare the 3 days I teach and loves every minute of it. We have all of our teeth except the 2 year old molars and she has been ever so busy growing hair!! It is so long and I am vv. jealous of it all! He eyes are stunning and I am also veeeery jealous of those as well.

Can you believe these kiddos are almost turning 2?? Where has the time gone??

I am still so indecisive as to whether I want another child. We had only planned on the one and life is so easy and cruisy and wonderful that some days I dont remotely feel the urge to go back again...but then I will do a newborn shoot and be all sentimantal. I don't want to confuse being sentimental with cluckiness though.

I reduced my teaching days to 3 this year, as going back full time when Paige was 9 months totally sucked!! So this is the perfect balance.
My photography business is taking off faster than I could ever imagined. I shoot 2 Saturdays a month and school holidays, and I am really busy with it all.

I can see by looking at signatures that some if you have already bought new bundles of joy into the world - CONGRATULATIONS!!

All is good here, went out for the first time today with the two girls had a good time. Im just real tired feeding and not much sleep also Tara has decided she doesnt want much sleep all day and just wants her mum... Julia's doing really well not jealous at all, got upset the other day when I took Tara out of her bouncer to change her nappy cause she was near her lol. Julia does wees in her potty but not poos yet, shes doing well with it.

Kell- How awful, glad to hear he is on the mend. Sounds like a really bad bout of gastro, just make sure you wash your hands constantly just to try avoid getting yourself. I can imagine how upset it would've made you, its terrible when they are that sick.

ChrissyT- Great to hear from you. Sounds like everything is going so well and falling intp place. Its great your photography has taken off. You'll have to pop in here more often and keep us updated.

MrsT- Good luck with Alexanders surgery tomor.

Marni- when does Tiana have hers?

Belle- Glad to hear everything is going well, sounds like Julia is a loving big sister.

Its great to hear some are doing well with TT. Ash asks occasionally to sit on toilet but never does anything. But I think at least she knows what it is for and all that. We bypassed potty cause she would just play with it and put things in it as tho it was a toy, don't think she really got it whereas she sees us on the toilet so knows what its for.

chrissy - sounds like things are going really well for you all. I had a look at your photography work, you do a fantastic job.

belle - any time honey :hug: Like I said, it's tough times ahead, but it's all worth it, and it will get easier.

kel - poor Jesse. Glad to hear he is on the mend now, hopefully he doesn't get sick like that again any time soon.

Not much happening today. I had such a lazy day, I felt like an awful mother for not doing anything with Nina. But I just couldn't get the motivation today. She didn't seem to mind though, just did her own thing.
I've booked into the gym as of tomorrow. Eeek! I haven't told Heath about it, I'm going to keep it a secret from him until he starts noticing the difference in him. That way he won't be on my back asking me if I went to the gym today, blah blah blah. Wish me luck! I have about 10kg to go till I'm at my goal weight.

Gym sounds great Jodi. Yeah keep to yourself my Df would be the same! Prolly cause I did join gym few years ago and only went handful of times, lol. Will be good to to help you build up energy and stamina to chase those 2 little ones.

Speaking of dags, Rans was reading over my shoulder before and had your post in his head with the YMCA song - replacing the 'Young man' bit with the person's name, if that makes sense. Dork.

Here's my public safety message for the day - make SURE your front doors are SHUT!
Rans was loading his drums into his car, so in and out, I was chilling, and suddenly said 'where's River?' We both ran out the front and suddenly I saw Rans start sprinting up the street, and he came back with a cheery little Riv. I said 'where was he' and Rans said 'don't ask'. He was running up the MIDDLE of our busy road in his socks!
It's kinda funny, except that he could have DIED - it was just before 6 when everyone comes home from work, lots of people hoon down our road and it was getting dark. :o We prayed a big prayer of thanks for that one I tell you.

Can anyone else's kids open their doors? Riv's discovered a sweet spot on his where he bangs and it somehow clicks open. He let himself out while I was napping on the couch tonight and tried to climb into his highchair. He's happy to be taken by the hand and led back to bed though, like he knows he should be in bed. :P

Can't wait to be over this cold...at least the boys seem to be over the worst of it, hopefully they'll be able to sleep through tonight.

OMG Nelle how scary- you must have a little houdini there.

As for the WII there is a massive world wide shortage!! and due the the olypmics they have not been able to make any in th elast week because of the factory being in bejing and the shut down to try and get rid of some of the fog!!!
I am so p!ssed buy it both WII and Fit are payed for too cause i was told they would be in by the beginning of August

Hi Belle, Im ok! Ms isnt too bad actually have the occasional throw up but mostly the nausea I had 24/7 is gone now. Im super tired though. The new house is great but not clean enough for my liking lol Its so big that when I clean one part, I go to clean another then come to find out the already clean part is filthy again courtesy of Destructo 1 & 2. I hope your girls are treating you well!!

Er is my slacker the only one who isnt really interested in TT? He knows what poo's and wee's are (he loves to tell people theyve gone poopy-bum when they fart :cryinglaugh: ), he asks to go potty occasionally but mostly does not care. I dont know what Im doing wrong, guess I'll just have to wait for him to make the decision to do it.

As for favourite words, probably 'Okay' too. He says it in a way that if you say "Would you like a cookie/drink/banana?" etc he sounds like your forcing him to have it so he's doing you a favour by eating it hahahaha He also likes to say "Oh no, no" when you ask him questions even when he means yes. Very frustrating.

Looks like I'll have a crawler on my hands in the next few weeks. Rip spends most of his time on hands and knee's rocking and sounding like he's hyperventilating (his excited noise lol) Bout time too cause he's getting to heavy for me to carry already. He's 10.2kgs and about 3/4 of Jetts size (and he's over 90cm tall, wowza!)

Annat - holly crapola!!!! mat is now 7kg and I dont know his height. He's wearing 00 finally...talks the ar$e of you..dad, mama, aye and blah blah blah stuff. eats me out of house and home and sleeps 13 hours at night plus 2 day sleeps....my best baby so far :) Yay on Ripley amost crawling..that is friggen awesome!!!

This might be dumb question but with those Wii fit things do you need a nintendo Wii to play it or does it just come on its own? I wouldn't mind getting one heard great things but don't want to have to buy whole console.

Bea- Yeah its not fair on you if you have to do all the driving with the girls, if he's gonna slack off with getting it fixed he can start giving you petrol money.

Maz- Yeah going alright with preg, still m/s tho. Sounds like 4th time lucky with sleep at your place! You prolly need him to sleep well when your chasing after the rest of the herd!

AnnaT- He'll let you know in his own time, like I said Ash never does anything she just thinks its fun to sit on the loo. I thought I'd wait til its alot warmer here then start trying so she can run round nakies.
And thats bad part moving to bigger place. We moved last sep before that had 1 toilet/ bathroom small unit, now so much more to clean I can't keep up, too many toilets!

Marni- I think its prolly worse for the mums than the bubs. I'm sure she'll recover quickly.

Nelle- How scary! Wait few years and you'll be able to laugh. I remember when my nephew was little he was out in his back yard managed to get out gate and cross the road! At the time so scary for my sister seeing him run down the street on other side of road but now we can laugh.

Laurin- So how is uni going? Do you have to go into school or is it like correspondance type?

Ash has passed on her cold to me. I'm achey and have sore throat. And tired cause poor thing wakes in the night crying "nose nose, tissue tissue, sore"

Yeah you need a Wii Shell. I love ours, Rans and I play MarioKart and all sorts of games on it. Fun fun.

AnnaT, Riv's got not much of a clue about TT, he's a stealth pooer so it's tricky. Might start sitting him on the loo (we've got a kiddy toilet seat).
And whooooa mumma, sounds like Rip's big! How are you going for baby names? I told Rans i like Kingsley if we have another boy and he doesn't like it. Ah well.

Lol, Si just went from sitting leaning against me on the couch, to lying down then flipped onto his tummy. Big smile, he looked very pleased wih himself. :P

Riv doesn't have a favourite word cos he doesn't speak. He can roar like his lions and tigers though, does that count? He loves lions and tigers. :P Although he's started saying 'uh uh' and shaking his head when he gets told off. He does say 'UMMM' a lot at mealtimes, think that's supposed to mean 'yum'.

anna - Emily is a porker too. At 12 weeks, she was 6.8kg, but since then, she's gone up another size in clothing, and I think she's around 7.5kg now, maybe even close to 8kg. And she's only 3.5months!

Nina had the most disgusting brekkie today. Vegemite on toast, then she smothered her banana flavoured yoghurt on top of the toast. And in the other hand was a sausage (from last night's dinner). eeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!

It was so depressing getting weighed and measured today at the gym. I know I've put on weight since having the girls, but my goodness, seeing it all written down is not pleasant. And I hate those BMI things, they make you feel even fatter. But I have a goal and I'm going to reach it.

Lets just say Nelle that this baby better be a girl otherwise there will be WW3 on our hands over a boys name :lol: For a girl we still have Carys Audrey Leontine and for a boy I like Hudson but DH is iffy on it. He likes Cyrus but I hate it. Funnily enough he was peering over my shoulder one night while I was on here and he said "Do you think you'd like Silas?" I said I did but I dont want to be a name stealer ;) But he's taken to reading Jett his Childrens bible for bedtime stories so Im betting we get name suggestions out of that soon! Feel free to chuck suggestions my way though, we have similar name tastes and we need all the help we can get.

If Rans doesnt like Kingsley what does he like? I think it suits your other boys names as a sibling.

I made a HUGE decision today. We've used up all our savings on our new car and I really want to try and save save save so we have something in our account in case of an emergency.

Ive decided to stop seeing an OB and stick with midwives and the brand spanking new birthing centre up here. I'll be the 30th woman to give birth there if they accept me! Im at no higher risk than any other mother for the same complications I had with Ripley and I have a minute chance of getting pre eclampsia again, so the midwives are pretty sure I'll get the ok from the OB that helps them decide low-risk patients to stick with the birth centre. It will save me anywhere from $70-$110 a month/fortnight and the $1600 management fee for the birth which seems pointless for me to pay when my births are ridiculously easy and quick. I feel so excited about it, it feels so right to use the BC and hopefully have the waterbirth I have always wanted :clap: Worse case scenario it goes bum-up and I have to see an OB through the public hospital. And it isnt really a "worse" case at all.
Unless I chuck a Nelle ofcourse which is entirely possible ;)

Girls who have kids that are crazy for In the Night Garden - known as NG in our house otherwise we have to turn it on! I went to ABC shop and there are toys in there already and the cds and books of course that were there before. The Toys come out very soon there and also whoever stocks playskool stuff which I know Toys R Us do!!! YAY.

I am glad Alexander's surgery went well.

Belle - for some reason my comp won't let me open the pics.

My mum has a Wii fit, and loves it. I have had a few go's and it is pretty fun.

Maz - sounds like you have a lovely little boy.

J has decided that he hates vegetables. He used to be such a good eater, and now he is so fussy. I end up having to sit there and feed him. Tonight I even hid some of the vegetables mashed into his yoghurt (that he ate!!)

Woohoo, got phone call today my Wii fit is in... to bad my Wii console still isnt... might given them a call tomorrow as it looks like target got some in so Big W should have got theres as well and just been slack and not call me.

I am getting mine for a xmas present and paying it off on layby as im dirt poor. :( Unfortunatly aarons lawnmowing in winter slows way down. I could do with it now being on ww and all.
Some woohoo news for me is ive been accepted to have a stall at some baby markets in perth. Its being held here for the first time and its for handmade baby products only. So i have to pull my finger out and get organised!!
