Marni-Glad to hear that everything went well and that you are home. How cute that she cuddled one of the recovery nurses. At least it was really quick for you, although I am sure the wait was awful. Hope she recovers quickly.
I have elevated glucose levels, so am back for another glucose test tomorrow. UGH! But I also have a scan tomorrow, will let you all know how it goes.

It seems the sick bug has hit this house too, Rylee vomited twice during the night and I have felt sick all day and just vomitted a couple of times and my tummy starts tightening all the time and feels squirgly so I am nearly off to bed. Not a good day and the pregnancy hormones weren't being very nice to me either so hope tomorrow is a better one.

SO morning everyone !
I have deicided to take Annikas dummy away from her and last night was out first noght.. she did well only asked for it a few times. had a bit of trouble going to sleep without it but once she was alseep i didnt hear from her all night. yay!!
To bad Mj couldnt give me the same curtousy!! She would not sleep anywhere but in my bed... i would wait until she was dead asleep fro 10 min thn go to put her in her cot and she would howl as soon as her head touched the mattress but i could put her down in my bed no worries.. grrrrr

ness- im trying to get savanna off the dummy but her last molars are cutting and she wants the dummy more than ever so i decided to wait till she has all her teeth. i feel so mean.. the otherday she was crying and screaming and throwing herself around for over 45 minutes cause i wouldnt give it too her.. steve came home and told me off and gave it too her!! arghhh i went through all that screaming for him to give in straight away!!!!

I am so tired now. Had nice day, spent ages at the park tho I'm dissapointed the weather wasn't as nice as they made out it was going to be! Went and visited ILs then we took Ash out for dinner to La Porchetta. So everyone happy. She loved her presents.
Now tomor gotta spend organising her birthday BBQ for sat, make a cake and have gymbaroo on so busy day.
Maz- Happy anniversary, so did Jed end up remembering? If not he has alot grovelling to do!
Ambz- I was thinking bout getting IQ then the guy that actual works at foxtel told me we'd be better off buying DVD recorder or something like that. But then you can't pause or rewind live TV. So still thinking on it.
Meg- Bloody hell gastro girl thats last thing you need! You'll have to start carrying round that hand stuff (forget the name) and rub it in everytime you touch something.
Bea- How did Annika go down tonight without the dummy? Lol at MJ they just seem to know what you are doing even when asleep! Won't be finding out the sex for this one so nothing to reveal!

Update on Alexanders biethday - we gave him a Thomas the Tank trundle play table, he loves it.. thomas is his no1 toy.. so he also got more trains:lol: mum mum bought a huge Tonka truck, we got lots of clothes, DVd's, books, and a few other things .

Scan went well yesterday. The babies are on par for their age. It is still a boy and a girl, had to get that double checked to keep my mind at rest. The only thing is I have shortening of the cervix, not sure what that means in the scheme of things, but will hear from the obs office today.

Shell-Glad to hear that Ash had a good day, I hope you get everything organised without too much trouble.
Ambz-Grrrr at DH giving the dummy straight away, maybe you should talk about some ground rules so that you dont contradict each other again. But then again hubbies can fold a lot easier than we can.LOL

Helen, yay for boy and girl still being boy and girl. As for cervix length, I would expect yours to be shortening about now considering your carrying twins. All it means is that its shorter than say a normal singleton woman's would be at 28wks. You *may* or *may not* go into labour early. Theyll probably just keep checking it. I do know people have been told theirs is shortening and then 2 weeks later its been longer. I never had any shortening of my cervix but suddenly at 33wks I was 3cm! So dont panic :)

All you preggy mummies - How are oyu going on name choices? We have agirls name locked in, but still undecided about a boy. Girl will be Emelia Rose. (Rose after MIL) for Boy, DH wants Patrick Edward, or Jack Edward (Edward after FIL) but I just don't know. Not sure about Jack, as not in to naming all kids with the same first initial. Just seems a little American to me. - Like I watch those shows of families with 16 kids all with the same first letter.
J seems to think it is funny to come up to my tummy and poke it saying "blub, blub, blub." Oh and his other new thing (Thanks DH) is to come up behind me and try and pull my pants down as he says "dack!!" - I can't believe this time next week he will be two.

AnnaT-Thanks hun. I am going back to the ob on tuesday them I am on to fortnightly visits. I had 2 measurements for my cervix, so am not sure what it means. First was 2.3cm and the 2nd was 1.6cm. As long as I get at least another 6 weeks out of this pregnancy I will be happy.
Meg-You poor thing J and his dirty fingers. I think the names you have chosen are beautiful. I like Patrick Edward, then you could still call J- J and not get confused.
Jodi-We have had a girls name for ages, but finally locked down a boys name today. Sorry but we decided to let people know the sex of our babies this time, so we will be keeping the names as a suprise.. Cant wait to tell you all though. I havent exchanged no.s with anyone in my belly group, so one of you, will most likely get the sms from me when I give birth to pass on the news.
Am having a sucky day today, managed to go out to lunch with friends, but as a result am feeling really crap and sore.

Hi all,
Well I got sicker, better now, but last night ended up vommiting so much, that nothing stayed down. My urine turned dark brown, and I ended up needing a bag of fluids run in due to severe dehydration. This is all thanks to the gastro. Now SIL who lives here is also sick. I am lying on the couch, DH is lying in the bedroom with J, and SIL is lying in the other room. We are miserable and barely coping.

Helen - Yay on the babies! It is wonderful that they are both on track. How did your glucose tolerance test go?
Tiana improved - but has now gotten worse. We had uncontrollablem screaming last night and she is really fussy and clingy. Her breath got really, really terrble yesterday to. Mum said it is good as it means her throat is healing. All she is happy doing is laying in bed watching dvd's. So thats what she is doing! Here's hoping she is feeling better on Monday

Helen good on you for getting out babe. I can understand why you are keeping the name for yourself. ive told jed IF we ever (which is a big NO) have another baby...it would be called houdieni (sp???) casue it would defently be a miracle baby.

Emilia's a beautiful name. And WATCH OUT about naming kids with the same letter, I mix up Rans and Riv a lot when I'm telling one of them off. :P It's a PAIN.

Meg- :hug: I hope you are on the mend, not sounding good at all, so much gastro around at moment, we had outbreak at work few weeks ago and had to shut the ward to new patients. Are you managing to keep things down? Maybe try some of that gastrolite stuff to get all your electrolytes back in. I did have a big laugh at J touching himself and putting his fingers in your mouth.
Maz- Df is hopeless at remembering dates, I just tell him in advance when something is and what I expect for it otherwise I'd end up with nothing also. Thing that makes me laugh is Df can tell you anything bout the Bombers like who played what number for what years etc but can't remember birthdates or anything like that!
Marni- Poor Tiana and you! Can you give her much for pain relief? Has she settled for the night?
helen- Yeah keep names to yourself cause I'm already having the prob when we throw names around of everyones opinion how they don't like that name etc etc. I think waiting til bubs born to announce it means no one can comment!
Well we had Ash's birthday BBQ today and I am exhausted! Cake got a bit burnt but icing turned out ok. In the end I just used green icing to draw a number 2 on the cake and then the choc icing for around rest of it. Ash had great day, pretty much ate crap all day so healthy stuff for her from now on! Got good presents. Tidying up afterwards was pain in ass but all done.
awww Meg - you poor darling really hope you & your household feel better quick - gastro seems like 10 times worse when you are pg - all you can do is try to keep your fluids up...often easier said than done.
Marni - poor Tiana - hope her recovery is quick.
Maz - sorry to hear about Jed missing your anniversary - he has got alot to make up for next year. Congrats to your BIL.

Well another crappy night here. She finally went to sleep on me at about midnight after much screaming and kicking and crying for about 3 hours. She slept until 7.30m this morning and woke cranky. I am going to the chemist today to see if they can give me something to knock her out tonight. I cant keep going like this and panadol isnt doing it for her. :( Sorry to whinge, I feel a bit better when it is all out though.
Marni - Pain stop is fantastic babe, especially when kids are in so much pain. I was up with Vy until 2am this morning...her woo hoo is red raw...friggen teeth!!!
Laurin - you'll be surprised how quickly you get use to having 2..but in the mean time big hugs babe
