Maz - As soon as you can honey. I know there's definitely one that will be arriving closer to Christmas (but have already let the recipient know to expect that). I think we were discussing maybe posting them by the end of this week? If not, maybe by say Wednesday next week so they definitely arrive before Christmas.

OMG Shell!! You are crazy woman!!!

Thinking of you Laurin, hoping to hear some wonderful news very soon

Well I had surprise today, went out for less than 2 hours this arvo, came home to like 30-40 bees! They were all buzzing at the kitchen window and around the sliding door, I just grabbed Ash and left. Apparantly in hot weather swarms of bees find places to rest, god knows how they got in but exterminator ppl on phone said it wouldn't be a nest because none outside and we haven't seen any around before today. Quite odd tho cause by time Df got home bout half hour later most were laying in clumps on floor nearly dead so easy to just finish them off and clean them away. Haven't seen another since so think we are safe! Don't know what was going on with them.

    How strange Shell!!

Laurin if you are still around. Thinking of you, and hope you meet bub soon.

maz - I have started reading the thread of Mat's story. Thanks for sharing.

AnnaT - Feeling a bit uncomfy sleeping here too. 2 nights ago I was so short of breath lying down, that I barely slept at all. Bubs must have moved as I was alright last nigh. (or maybe just so tired I didn't notice!!)

J has taken to wanting to sleep with a pillow over his head. He calls it his "hat" and asks for a hat when he goes to bed.
Also he loves his big boy bed so much, that he wakes in the morning and just stays in his room and plays, sometimes till 8 (and he wakes at 7ish) So I am enjoying the sleep in while I can.

How is everyone else? It has been a little quiet in here!

Rach - are you back yet?

Hi guys, had the twins first chk-up today. They cleared a few things up for us. We were quite worried about Gabriel as he has a different look to him and he wasnt focussing on us or making eye contact and wouldnt hold his eyes still and they would wander. Well he is just perfect, according to the clinic sister he has a real premmie look and that will go with time and developmentally he is a little behind and his eye muscles should tighten up. Which I think they have as he now looks at us and he smiles, he just melts our hearts. Tallulah is just perfect, we have to get her hips checked as there may be slight clicking there. We have also been recommended to get Gabriel's hips ultrasounded as he was in breach position when born, even though a cs. Dont think I have anything to worry about there.

Tallulah is now 7cm longer and 784gms heavier and Gabriel is 4cm longer and 858gms heavier. Poor little man taking after his mumma. We were worried that Tallulah hadnt put on much weight at all, turns out she has, but she has stretched at the same time.

So all in all things are going well. They are now pretty much classified as newborns and we will have to go by their corrected age for the next few years and not by the date that they were born, developmentally wise, as they were born so early. I am not sure how the immunisations will work, either on birth age or corrected but I will find out that when I take them to the Paed on 17 Dec.

    Shell-Ugh That sounds absolutely terrifying.

Meg-That is so cute with James.

All of the pregnant ladies, I hope you are all travelling well. I really feel for you being preggers in summer.

Helen - They should go on actual age for the immunisations, but aren't that strict about the time frame. Please don't get too focused on the corrected age thing - it is just a rough guide. Miss B was born earlier and was smaller than your little darlings and I can tell you she fairly quickly was on par with (or ahead of) other babies her actual age development-wise.

Thanks M3G, I am not too worried about the corrected age, it actually makes me feel better if they are laggin behind, more than worrying me. I cant imagine having babies younger than I did. Ours were definantly big for their gestation.

Helen- Thats fantastic news they are coming along so well. I bet in few months they'll be chubby little things and you won't even know they were premmies. So Tallulah gonna be tall and skinny hey. Model in the making lol. Just get their immunisations when you think they are ready for them.

Meg- Now Ash can get out of bed she has decided to start getting up earlier which don't impress me much! She comes into our room at 7am saying hi. Any time before 7:30 just kills me for some reason. Lol at J's "hat".

Thank god no more bees here!

Ah Shell, we had bees in our first house once, it's so scary hey! I got trapped outside early in the morning in my skimpy pjs (we had a loo in the porch kind of...old house), and had to wait til some builders came to work and borrow their phone to wake Rans and tell him to open a window somewhere else for me! Ours died too, but I thought that was cos we'd recently sprayed that light fitting with surface spray....I wonder why they die? Glad there's no more bees there anyway.

Great to hear the bubs are going well Helen. Hope you're keeping well and having enough energy. I've always thought the thought of twins is cool, but I'm not sure how I'd go with the reality! You're amazing. I'm with Shell, immunise when you get around to it...neither of mine are immunised yet, so it won't hurt them if you delay their schedule if you choose to.

Thinking of you Laurin (and waiting very patiently for news. ).

Lol Meg at J's 'hat'. They're so funny sometimes aren't they.

On our front, no talking, but Riv does conveniently give himself away while being naughty by saying 'uh ohhhhhh'. Pretty handy. He insisted on helping my dad mow the lawn today...it was apparently sloooow going until Dad distracted him with a mandarin from a tree in the backyard (this was while I was getting a haircut).

    Hope everyone's well. xo

It is soo hot here! I am almost glad that I work five days a week so I am in air con! Anyways... I am over my whinge!

Helen - The babies are gorgeous! I am glad that they are doing so well! Ignore if you want but just curious why did they come early?

Meg - Its great that J will sleep in his room! and his 'hat' if cute! We gave in and put a tv and dvd in tianas room to try and get her to stay in there and it has worked for part of one night. I really dont know what to do about her sleeping. I think I am going to have to let her cry but I dont want to do that.

    Hi! to everyone else!
