Maz - You sound like you need one as well! Isnt it funny that as a kid we are so excited about school holidays but as parents we could probably be happy if they didnt exist Im just lucky that Dh has a majority of the big school holiday break off so I can run away if need be in a few years time, or atleast delegate some of the whining to him.
Cads - what an awesome surprise for your parents and YAY for some you time!
Meg - have fun at swimming today! Glad your enjoying the rain!
Ok so the new name we decided on is.....................
.
.
.
.
.
.
.................River Stellan James!
I thought on it for a few days and we had a list of about 5 first names that I liked way better than Gage, and the more I looked at River the more it 'fit' for us as a family. Dh just gave in cause he knows I always get my way. Dubious at first about two R firstnames but I get everyone's names mixed up already so decided it didnt matter I would have used Stellan as the fn but Ry says its too 'out there' (puzzles me that, seeing as Ripley certainly isnt mainstream). River fits our unique style, it isnt in the Top 100 and never has been, easy to spell, sounds great with the boys names and our lastname and I wont mind yelling it 200x a day in a years time haha
And its also very cute that he will be born in water with a water-related first name (Im a dork to think of that arent I!)
So we'll have two Sept siblings sharing names with a Sept 06 kiddo
Anywho should hop off and do things, might take the boyo's swimming this arvo after they wake up from their naps.
I got the River part right I think it's a great name Anna! And most importantly, you and Ryan love it.
meg - woohoo on green grass! How was swimming? Nina's swimming lessons finished last week.
caddie - what a great surprise for your parents!
How are all the kids reacting to Christmas coming, do they sort of understand what's going on?
Nina is very excited, she keeps saying 'santa coming soon. Santa in sky, bring presents for Nina and Emily, sooooon'
So far she's been really good with the presents under the tree. She hasn't opened any of them. She knows who's is who's, and I reckon it'll be her giving them out on Christmas Day!
Anna - Great name! But I thought Gage was great too.
Jodi - Tiana loves the lights too. When we are driving all you hear from the back is 'pretty lights, oh more pretty lights!' She isnt as good with presents though. If i had any out she would be opening them!
Maz - I'm sure Mat will catch up fast. He has done so well, he will continue to do so I'm sure.
Caddie - What did you do with your day to yourself?
Ness - Hope the move goes smoothly!
Chrissy - Hope that the kiddies are behaving and the bike is coming together!
Not much going on here. My sister is home from the Navy for christmas and automatically got roped in for babysitting duties! We are having xmas lunch at mums but opening presents here in the morning.Tiana has destroyed the bottom half of the tree there is like 4 decorations left within her reach!!!
John has been away all week, his birthday was yesterday so we will get takeaway tonight and play the Wii (his present). He is away again Sun but will be home Tues I think. Just in time to put the tramp together on wednesday... I am really excited about giving it to Tiana! She will love it.
She's going to love the trampoline. We got Nina one for her birthday, and we're on it everyday. She's pretty good at doing different bounces now.
For Christmas Day, we're going to my parents for lunch. We usually have it here, but it's too much hassle with the 2 kids this year. Apart from that, not much planned. Probably just relaxing in the pool. It's usually one of the hottest days of the year here on Christmas Day, so as long as we're in air con, or a pool, it doesn't matter
off to Agnes this arvie, then tuesday we drive up to Rocky to have xmas eve, day with mum, my sister, BIL, 3 nephews, 1 neice, 2 foster kids and us then boxing day down to g'stone for another xmas feast with IL's, SIL and nephew
then I think on about the 28th we go back to Agnes and dont come home till the 4th
and Shell I wont forget if we get to bundy will definatly call
We're having xmas lunch at my uncles sister place, be bout 20 adults and half dozen kids, quite fun we do a crappy KK where you spend $5 and try find crappiest gift, good for a laugh. We'll prolly pop into my ILs late arvo/ dinner to catch up with them and BIL so be busy day.
Jodi- Not sure how much Ash actually understands, she knows there are pretty lights and presents and santa but don't know if she relates it to xmas or they are just things around at the moment. She loves it all anyway.
AnnaT- Nice pick, we must like each others tastes in here if we like using the names!
Meg- when you get yr results from the test? And yeah we've had some probs with blankets being off and getting cold, our bedrooms all upstairs so they are warmer then most and I've just been putting flanlette PJs on and socks so she been ok. More in colder months its prob and I usually just put lots extra layers clothes on.
Maz- Oh god how Vy today? Ash been playing up bit more than usuall lately will be sweet as pie one sec then screaming like devil next. Its bloody tiring. Hopefully Mat will pick up quickly, being the tough fighter he is he'll be moving in leaps and bounds after he fully gets over the virus.
Bea- That'll be great for you to get the whole night off. I don't think it'll take you too long to find some dates. you're a hotty!
Df car fixed, all that money later but at least its going well, Df reakons better than its been working for a long time so still got life in it.
How everyone else progressing with TT? Ash sits on toilet constantly but won't do a thing and will only sit there for like 10 secs so wouldn't even have time. Drives me nuts she seems eager in the loo, knows when she is going to poo cause she goes in another room and when I have her nappy off she also goes elsewhere to wee, usually same room so she knows what she is doing, just won't do on toilet. I think next week we'll just have to tackle full on and have no nappy at home just training pants and see how we go.
Rach - Getting confused with names again??!! Hopefully you'll make it in, but don't make a special trip in, I know you guys are flat out as it is.
Shell - Weeellllll.....Miss A decided to do a poo in the toilet yesterday without telling me. Some of it made it into the toilet and she did try to wipe her bottom........
Bea - Just wanted to say congrats on feeding MJ for 9 months!!! You did so well honey, I'm so proud of you And enjoy your night out, I'm thinking we're overdue for one ourselves, DH and I don't get to go out much as a couple, we don't have many babysitters, and they usually are busy themselves. Oh well, I 'spose it won't be too much longer and Miss B and Miss T will be old enough to babysit Miss A (and she'll be old enough to be able to be babysat by them). Still a few years down the track though.
Jodi - We have a constant chorus of "Santa Claus is coming to town" and "Jingle Bell Rock" in our house at the moment, and I got told that "Mummy, you better watch out!!!" (with a concerned look on her face) "why?" "Cause Santa's coming to town!!!" (runs away laughing her head off!)
Maz -
Hi everyone else. Sorry, gotta run, my little munchkin is being a bit demanding, and I've got my niece here as well.
