Well Ash's fave present is the $10 we spent on cut outs and things for play dough, seems to be the thing with the cheap present.

Shar- Thats absolutely awful, made my blood run cold, I can only just imagine what tehy must be going thru.

AnnaT- No way was I gonna go to the sales, watched it on the news ppl are crazy camping out at like 4am!

Jodi- Enjoy your holiday! How come MIL doesn't celebrate xmas. Religious thing or personal choice?

Ness- Good on you for saying no. You don't need all the crap and drama again.

I did try teach Ash bit Jesus at xmas but everytime I told her it was Jesus's birthday she'd start singing happy birthday to James (my nephew who had birthday 2 weeks ago) so think she too young to pick it up yet.

Can't believe its all over now after all the build up to it.

    Hello everyone!
Been very busy! We are all partied out from singing and wii! Was hilarious. We all had so much fun.
The girls were excited with their gifts. Millana got a huge barbie campervan and aeroplane,Ruby got a horse and carriage and a few other 2 yr old stuff and both got baby alive!
I myself got a pandora braclet and coffee grinder!! Mmmm coffee tastes way better.
Then we had sad news as my dad was frinds with brian guest the guy taken by the shark. Our beach was closed and it was so loud with helicopters all day and boats and people watching the drama unfold. So we were upset for my dad.
Now its all back to work for hubby. Thankgod.lol I love him but boy the routine goes out of whack.lol Last night he fell asleep on the couch at 7pm! and then woke at 9pm ready for work. I think he was off with the fairies as he did not believe me at all. He then fell off the back step which woke him up i think. very strange.lol
sounds like everyone has had a good time but im kinda glad the festivities are over. Now we have to start moving into mum and dads house in the next 2 weeks. Eakk!

Hey Caddie - I'm here, just haven't had a lot to say. So sorry to hear about the loss of your dad's friend. Good luck with your move, that's in a few weeks isn't it?

Maz - Happy birthday to your handsome men

    Happy birthday Marni!!

To everyone - Thank you all for another year of your friendship and sharing your lives (highs and lows) with us. With my whole heart I hope and pray that 2009 brings you all great joy and wonderful times. And a special mention for Chrissy and Maz For both of you 2008 has brought some really hard times, but I hope it also has brought many good memories as well that you'll be able to look back on with a smile. Sorry I'm not doing personals for everyone - you know I love you all and I'll make an effort to get in touch with you all soon, just gotta get back in the air-con right now (it's steamy here right now). Love to all, will chat with you all in the new year

Hi lovelies! I agree Sharle, it's so nice that we have each other, some of us know each other pretty much inside out now!

Chrissy, go nuts mate. Make sure you tuck some away for a long weekend here and there if you can grab one.

Ambz that's great that you've built your first house! Whereabouts hon? Tia is WALKING? Clever!

How you feeling Shell? And Meg? Not tooooo long now hey, hang in there.

Lol Shell, I'm up late again hey! We're going to my Gran's farm for a few days soon, where there's nought to do at night, and they all rise early, so hopefully that will help me get into a proper swing of things. A milo and tuck in DOES sound nice though.

I played golf with Rans and BIL today...not many holes, it was sooo windy and I am very rubbish at golf. Despite it being windy and cloudy I still got a bit burnt! Crazy times.
Baked cupcakes last night too. Pretty yum. Hopefully I'll get better at them, they weren't as light as I'd hoped they'd be.

Might faff around and then head to bed. Just for something different.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
Back from holidays now. It was nice to get away, but good to be home.

anna - we went to Horseshoe Bay in Bowen, which is about 2 hours south of Townsville. A lovely little spot right next to the beach. Very relaxing.
I agree, Townsville sucks for shopping! A few of our friends come up for a few days to Cairns after Christmas, and do some Boxing Day shopping here. Much more worth it than Townsville.

caddie - that's awful about your dad's friend. I did see that on the news the other day.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Years. We only got home at 5pm yesterday, so we were too tired to see to midnight. I woke up to go to the toilet at midnight and heard the fireworks, said Happy New Years to myself, than went back to bed.

Since Christmas, Nina has been saying a lot more, which is driving us all up the wall. Everything is 'what's this?', 'who's that?', 'what this do?', 'who did that?' and so on. She says it non stop

Sounds like the girls are in the pool with Heath, so I might join them

AnnaT- Happy first birthday for tomor, wow a year already! Enjoy your days away. You got anything planned for up there or just a relaxing break?

Jodi- Nina sounds exactly like Ashleigh. I've just noticed so much this last week all those questions, esp the whats this one and if we are at the supermarket it can be quite annoying explaining every single item!

Nelle- I hope your Gran gets you into a sensible sleeping pattern, get up with the animals at sunrise! Yeah not long to go with this preg, 8 weeks, feeling like my insides are going to drop out at the moment.

Chrissy- Good on you getting all that stuff, stuff you need anyways and will make life easier. I really hope this new year is alot better for you and brings you much deserved happiness.

Ambz- Good to see you again. So where abouts did you build? Hows the garden turning out?

Caddie- Hows the organisning and packing going? Is your brother still going to be staying with you for awhile?

Hope everyone had good new years, I went to bed early and worked today, Df went out and of course when the pub shut at 1am and everyone got turfed out no taxis, so he enjoyed (not) a 1.5hr walk home while drunk, lol. I did hear the fireworks, was going to look from our balcony but couldn't be bothered.
