    HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY !!!

I'm attempting and Australian shaped caked today Gonna be hard I reckon, but I'll give it a shot. I just had Nina help me ice a cake for Heath for work today. She insisted the icing had to be pink It's very cute. Heath wasn't too impressed with a pink cake, but it takes nice, so that's all that matters for him.

I am starting to wonder what I did with my day before I had J. He has been with mum at the hol house since Friday, and honestly I am BORED! I have been for the past 2 days. I have done a lot around the house, but still......

Hope everyone has a wonderful day today.

Rofl, what's with the Christmas colours Jodi? I'd do a yellow and green one or something, but I'm too lazy.
Make sure you take pics of your cake!! I had Australia shaped steaks yesterday, that was fun. My dad and I informed everyone else quite smugly that we were quite obviously the most Australian people there.

Lol Meg - you would have gone out places before J! Remember the days of just calling a mate/family and going shopping? Nicking down to the local shops just for stuff? Sleeping in, so the day didn't seem so long?

Jodi- Can't wait to see the pics. Don't forget Tassie. So what happened with the job? Did you get? Whats it doing?

Meg- ikwym, on the very rare occasion I have been child free (beside going to work!) I just sat there not knowing what the hell I was meant to do! So funny, guess you get so used to not being on your own. Sleep? read? Internet? Too bad you live miles away you could've popped in here for coffee.

Nelle- Australia shaped steaks? How the hell do you cut steaks into shape?

Sat arvo people from worked organised an afternoon tea for me at one of there houses, was really nice, got given $100 Target voucher that everyone had put in for so that'll be handy.
Sat night had my cousins 18th and didn't get home til 3:30am! Boy did that kill me, still feel exhausted.

pics on facebook, and if I say so myself, I think I did a pretty good job

Australian shape steaks Nelle, how on earth did you do that?!

$100 Target voucher shell, that'll come in handy. We had a late night last night. It was bil's 30th and we went go kart racing. I am soooo sore today though.

I am always lost if my mum is looking after the girls for me. Enjoy the break while you've got it Meg, soon it'll be chaos in your house with a new addition.

    Hi ya'll,

My house is soooo quiet today, even around the neighbourhood......spooky!

Not much happening here today, Bails is at preschool...being the sooky Mummy I am, I just phoned and apparently at one stage he was quietly playing in a corner and some of the teachers (is that what we call them??) did not know who he was.....when I phoned he was watching a kid chuck a tanty and eyeing off the play dough!

Jodi - fingers crossed for Friday!!!! Thanks for the comments on FB but I had to delete the albumas for some reason some photos went******...no idea why???? Had to upload them all over again! Grrrr.

Meg - on my toddler free days I plan a massive big list and do.....none of it!

Lauren - evening are busy hey? I try to keep things simple....feels like a juggling act most of the time with DH away.

Shell - WTG working for this long! I have not been back to work since June 2006....so working on top of everything else..wow..I take my hat off to you!

Nelle - CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS on the mod job! lol @ the naughtiest kid...are you????? Fess up! lol

Have a great day ladies. I am off to clean up the office...a 'comment' was made the other day by DH..something about a bomb.....

Meg- Gastro is on the loose again, my ward had big outbreak they couldn't admit any new patients or anything, I was so glad I'd finished. A work friend got really unwell with it. Hopefully J's is just short term bug. Oh and I just noticed the name for your new bub sounds really sweet.

Vixstar- Sounds like he is settling into pre-school, tho you'd think the teachers should know who the kids they are caring for are! Is your Dh away alot also?

Nelle- Lol, maybe you should go sit on the naughty step.

Hi Marni, how is everything going in your world?

Ash has conjunctivitis thanks to a mate of Df's who brought his son round last week, the mate was complaining how since starting CC the son had got virus and the eye infection, yet then brings it over to my child? She been bit off all week too, quite pale and tireder than usual has bad moments in the day but then next second is her normal self. No temp or anything and still eating so who knows what prob is.

    Hi Everyone,

I am still around just lurking....DH went back to South Africa yesterday so by this time of day (4 pm) I am knackered, things are going okay, but between 4 pm and 9 pm it is a bit hectic and then I go straight to bed so not much time-out anymore. Anyway, enough about me....

Happy Australia Day everyone Hope you are all having an awesome day !

Meg - yay on having some time to yourself, I know waht you mean about not knowing what you used to do before kids, I used to: play piano, shop, read alot, work full time, study part-time, shop some more.....

Jodi - well done on your Aust day cake.

Nelle - I saw some Australia shaped meat patties in Safeway the other day Not steaks though...Have I missed something - are you a Mod now - I feel stupid asking this as I should know, so sorry if I am being a dork and have got the wrong end of the stick!

Okay, better go, we are in witching hour mode...

Yeah that's what I meant, meat patties, not steaks! They got cooked a bit tough too, but we persevered because we are tough Aussies.

Great to hear from you Laurin! When does your DH get back? Things going well between you guys? And yep I'm a mod, but don't fret, it's only recent so you're still on the ball!

Wow $100 voucher Shell? What you thinking of getting?

Jodi, that cake is friggin brilliant! Good cutting Heath!

Just got back from Spotlight. Got some floral material to cover canvasses with...almost bought a Robert Gordon teapot, but the outlet's not too far away, so I might have to look there.
Jodi, I keep meaning to tell you, I drink tea from that teacup you bought me ALL the time. I love it.

I think Nelle was little quiet bout the Mod business! I only picked it up by chance.

Nelle- Gonna save the voucher til we need stuff, see down the track once bubs is home what we could do with, will be very handy to have.
I made few canvesses with materials for Ash's room when preg with her, so cheap to do isn't it and just adds that something nice to the walls.

Jodi- i agree you did do good job! So did you have an australia day event on or just decided to bake?

Laurin- I reakon once I have this bub I'll be in bed that early too. I remember first few months with Ash I'd hit my pillow at like 8:30 and be sound asleep! Hopefully that witching hour will settle soon, do you have a bouncer or something to rock him in so you can get yourself and Riley fed and do things.

Not much here, counting down the days, 30 to go, lol.
Oh and the weather forecast has made me want to cry, will be forever greatful for aircon! I think we'll have it on constantly for next week.

Jodi - Great cake! I saw the pics on facebook, however I am admiring your patience to make one shaped like Australia!

Laurin - Great to hear from you, Finn is really cute. Hope that you are dgetting a little time to yourself somewhere!
