I asked Ash earlier what she wanted for dinner and she came out with "broccoli, cauliflower and potato". I was very surprised! And she is actually eating it and enjoying it!

Laurin- Can I join you in Fiji! I'll wait til bubs is born and leave them both with DF, lol. How is everything going? I can imagine it being hard with Dh away and then you also have your parents overseas also.

Nelle- Thanks to air con coping ok with heat just cabin fever! I am so bored sitting at home trying to entertain a 2 year old. Thankfully gymbaroo and her art class start next week so that'll be good.

Ash's eye is thankfully improving and she seems alot better in herself also. I don't think she is a fan of the heat either.

We have our first Cyclone!! It's 165km west of Cairns ATM. eeek.
annat - have you been through a cyclone before? Are you prepared? Do you know what you need to do to prepare?

We have no fruit & vegies ATM on the shelves. Roads are closed due to flooding between Cairns and Townsville so trucks can't get through.

I've got to start getting ready soon. Nina and I have a 3rd birthday party to go to this morning.

Oh wow Jodi. Do they think its going to hit land? How scary. Weird to think of all the floods you're getting up there when we haven't had rain for ages.

Jodi - I hope it doesn't hit or if it does minimal damage is done. That must be scary.

Shell - Lol on the veges! Tiana will eat them at daycare but wont touch them at home.

Sorry, I have forgotton what was said on the last page.

We are all ok here. I am just working and attempting to keep the house running. Tiana is now refusing to wear knickers and is back in nappies! I am looking after a baby bird who must have tried to fly and ended up in my front yard. She is cute and it is so funny to feed her! She puts her head back with her beak open and shakes her head chirping until she is fed! Very cute.

Hope everyone is having a more exciting weekend than me!

They're predicting it'll hit Ingham, which is between Cairns and Townsville possibly tomorrow. Last cyclone (cyclone Larry) hit between Cairns and Townsville and we had a fair bit of damage. Had no power for 3 days. The joys of living in the tropics, hey.

marni - that is so cute about that bird.

Better run, gotta buy a pressie for the birthday boy before we go to the party. Yes, I'm very disorganised.

Not a fab time for direct debits to come out of our account that I didnt know about and leave us with 0 $ *sigh* Just our freakin luck lol Thankgod there is money coming in tomorrow or Tuesday.

Happy birthday Maz. I am glad that you family spoilt you rotten.

How did you cyclone girls fair up? I haven't had the news on at all, so don't know what the outcome was.

Shell - Do you think ash can show J how to eat veggies.

Took J to the doctors last night as his bowels still are not right aftaer all that gastro. Now i have to get a stool sample from him.
I am feeling like Crap. I now has signs of gastro again. severe stomach cramping, and i can't venture too far from the loo.
Oh and i lost some of my mucous plug 2 days ago. I am hoping this bub stays put for at least 2 more weeks though. That would make me 36 weeks. Will speak to the obs about it today.

    Happy Birthday Maz!!!

Meg- wow you might go and have bubs before I do! You sure the cramping isn't labour related?

I feel like crap still. Ash has ear infection so that prolly explains why she was waking 2-3 times a night crying. I ache all over and have a killer sore thraot, so sleep deprived cause of all that and just being so far along in the pregnancy adds to the exhaustion. At least when you're preg with #1 you can rest all day, not now. I struggle thru each day and it really is a huge struggle.

Shell & Meg - you poor things, it is so hard isn't it being pregnant and running around after a little one, I really sympathise with you!! Meg, you sound like things are just around the corner, sometimes you get diarahear (sp) etc just before you go into labour as your body is cleaning itself out.... hugs

Not much else to report here, hope the girls in Qld are all okay.

okay better get back to life things Packed to the Rafters is back on tonight, hope I get to see it....

I sure hope Jodi is ok but we are fine here for now, flooding rapidly but ok. We live just a little ways out of town on the Bruce Highway soooooo its a bit dicey as to whether we'll get cut off or not but I had to run into town for some groceries and one whole side of the highway is shutdown due to the water being mtr's about the road and its very near overtaking the only open side of the road Ry is on leave til further notice too. The biggest shopping centre we had is closed and the one I went to, had minimal parking because the whole undergound carpark was ceiling high with water. So crazy, Ive never seen anything like it!

rain rain go away come again another day I'm so sick and tired of the rain! I bet you are too Anna. The roads are closed between Townsville and Cairns so the trucks can't get through. Not too many groceries left in the supermarket. I'll be going grocery shopping tomorrow, and I think it'll be my cheapest grocery bill yet.
Some of Heath's family live in Ingham where the floods are really bad. They're pretty much stuck inside their house for the moment.

Well I've had a really bad day and I have a shocking headache to go with it. I'm hoping some good news will come out of it all tomorrow morning.
I haven't organised anything for dinner either. I'm just not in the mood today.

Maz - hope you had a great day today.

meg - take care of yourself. Hopefully bub stays put for a few more weeks yet.

shell - it's hard work having a toddler and being pregnant isn't it. Not long for you to go. Have you got everything ready?

laurin - woohoo, I love Packed to the Rafters I'm hanging out for that and All Saints to start tonight.

Well we've had bad news about my FIL. Remember he was diagnosed with stomach cancer about 2 years ago now and was doing well over that time the chemo shrunk the tumors he was feeling good etc. Then they found new tumors which they treated and shrunk. Now they've found alot. Lately he'd had trouble eating and they put stents in to help the food get thru but when they were looking around in there there was just heaps of tumors. So now his options are forget all treatment and just live what time he has however long that is or have his stomach removed which won't cure but can prolong life but at same time its not much quality of life not being able to eat/ drink and have to feed via a tube. So big choice there to be made.
What saddens me most tho is how much Ash will miss him, cause she really adores him, as you know kids can't hide who they favour and he is right up there and he adores her just as much so makes me sad to think about when he is gone or when is gets to end stage it won't be the 'papa' she knows ifykwim.

oh no shell, I am so sorry to hear that. I know what you mean, Nina absolutely adores my grandad, but he is slowly dying. He has miniture strokes multiple times a day and dr's have said one of these days it'll kill him.
Has he made a decision on what to do yet? It would be such a hard decision to make.

How are you feeling today Jodi?

I have to share this story -
Last night J was waving a flag around (my fault as I gave it to him) and he accidentally stabbed me in the nose with the stick. It really hurt and my eyes started watering. He put the flag down, came over to me, kissed me on the nose and then said to me "all better." Hmm... I wonder who he learnt that from?
Also what was really good was this morning he was screaming, and I gave him a stern look, and then he said to me "sorry mummy." So he is slowly, slowly learning.

Oh no Shell, Im sorry to hear about your FIL That is a mega tough decision to have to make.

Meg - we have a sorry-sayer here too He even says it when he hasnt done anything wrong and his brother starts crying, cause he's so used to having to apologise for being naughty ha.
