well im up for anything nelle, i have never been to melbourne, so have no idea what to do, me and caddie are meeting at the airport just after lunch, as our planes get in about 30 minutes apart, and heading to the motel together, i know caddie wants to go to the casino, im, open to anything really.
mmmmmm I wanna go tooo!!, not going to happen though, we finally got our building permit so we are about to start building. We are building it ourselves, so I am nervous but confident. We are just building a small 3 bdr that will then become our guesthouse when we have someone else build our 5 bdr house later.
Chrissy-Do you have to get Liam tested for other alergies. How scarey.
School-In Tassie your child starts school the year after they turn 4, so Eithan will do pre-kindy next yr which is one morning a week and get used to the surroundings, teacher and friends and then in 2011 start kinder for 2 days a week. We have got into a great public school, we are out of area and they are now full as they will be closing down numerous schools within the next few years, so we are lucky. Otherwise we may have been able to get into another small school, we are out of area due to living on the wrong side of the street, but our neighbours said that they had spaces. However even though it is a 30min drive to get to the one Bella is at, I like that it is bigger and not small.
Eithan may have to have his tonsils out, he has stopped having apneotic episodes, so fingers crossed he doesnt have to have them out, yet if they happen again when he gets a cold we will have to reassess.
Tallulah is having regular physio as she is behind for her corrected age for movement. She basically does nothing with her hands and all with her feet. She is doing well though. Gabriel is so strong, doing really well. He has a scar from his immunisations though.
Bella, well Bella is Bella growing up way to fast, she is 7 this year eeeek.
Shell-How are things going with FIL? sorry if you have already mentioned anything, have been thinking of you all.
Nelle-Have you designed your own house or have you gone through someone that has set designs? I have found that the hardest, sticking to a budget but getting what you want out of a house.
Ness-Hope things are ok.
Jodi-You will be fine in the weather. If it gets windy or breezy I think that is when you will notice the cold most. Gives you an excuse to go shopping for new clothes anyway. Oh you can buy some really nice scarfes. You probably have never worn one of those. Is it scarfe weather in Mel yet, it is in Hobart.
Hi to everyone else.
Take care, off to settle grumpy Tallulah.
I'm exhausted just reading that post of yours Helen! How on earth do you do it all?!?! You're a wonder woman I tell ya.
I can't believe Bella is 7 already :o She must seem really old compared to the twins. How is she with them? I bet she's a doting big sister.
Fingers crossed Eithan doesn't need his tonsils out yet. Goodness knows you've been through enough already.
So good to hear the physio for Tallulah is going well. Do you know how long you'll need to keep going to physio for?
As for scarves, ummm, haven't really needed to wear them. I wear them at work, only cause they look nice, but it's certainly not cold enough for anything like that here. But I am excited about going shopping for new clothes, even if I only wear them that one weekend
Cool Chrissy. I'll catch the train in so I'll figure out what time you two are getting there closer to the date. Which is coming up! Hurrah! We'll see what Cads wants to do hey.
Far out Helen, that's a busy life. Do you think things will get easier when they're all in school?
Welcome to my world Helen :) - I have only just stopped doing physio every day on Mateauz....in the early days I did it 4 times a day...I had no life then either :(.....i lost alot of friends through moving and not going to there house and socialising but hey our kids come first dont they.
I have 2 sick little kids this week. Vy had a bad cold poor bugger and its hit her hard. mateauz has lovely green snot and is pinging off the walls. Thankfully the older 2 are alright
IM also worried about Vy's overbite. It is a genetic thing on Jed's side of the family...he has one, his 2 brothers and one sister do...and now my baby girl has it. Its not bad, yes but still noticable and im worried as she gets older that it might get worse and she'll have to have an op to fix it...suppose we'll cross that bridge when we get to it but still jsut another thing to worry aobut again.
For those interested there is a new thread for the meet up now too with all details ect on the very first post
only 4 weeks....can you believe how quickly thats come
So what are the plans for the Sept mummies meet up on that weekend??
I think we're doing brunch saturday mornish......then lunch with who ever wont be able to make tea and shopping in the afternoon.
Does that sound alright....hmmmmmm I am hanging

Have fun on your trips ladies!
Im the only loser not going anywhere arent I
Anna - i removed all those that weren't going cause I didnt want others to feel like crap about it IFYKWIM plus 2 people had already removed themselves for it anyway :( . Have a wonderful time in the US babe maybe you'll bring number 3 home with you ;)
Nah AnnaT - your not the only one not coming
Anyone heard from Sharleen at all???? bit worried thats all
I haven't heard from Sharle lately. Can you do a member search and see when she was last on?
Maybe you got removed cos we're all jealous of you and your fancy pants trip to the US Anna. :nahnah: Can't wait to hear all about it!!
Mmm Saturday brunch and shopping sounds delightful. I love shopping.
Riv's less and less interested in a day nap these days, but I can get him to snooze on his kiddy couch in the lounge. He's currently watching playschool under a blanket and sucking his thumb. I'm hopeful he'll snooze - he needs it! He's a feral when he doesn't nap.
I am Jelous of you girls who have kids that sleep through the day......VY hasnt had day sleeps since she was 18 months but thank god Mateauz loves his sleep :)
im looking for ward to shopping...woo hooo....we're close to Myer's arent we???
It is a struggle to get J to sleep. But sometime he just really needs it
It would have been lovely to see more sept mummies but hey thems the breaks..
Sharls has told me she is no longer on facebook. You can email her though. :)
Maz hope you feel better soon.
Helen thinking of you..
Me dum de dum...
Yeah Ash hasn't had day sleep for months either she does sleep well at night tho so won't complain.
MrsT- I'm so jealous, can I come in your suitcase?
Belle and Helen- FIL much same at moment, very frail and lethargic but still able to get out of bed just can't walk more than few steps. He's not in pain or anything so thats good. Thanks for asking.
How are your girls Belle?
Helen- When do you start building? Thats pretty exciting, you and Nelle can compare notes.
Chrissy- happy birthday to Liam. How are you going?
Ash been bit naughty, we go library story time each week and yesterday she kept running round being loud and being rude to me when I told her to be quiet, even library lady asked her 3 times to be quiet. Anyway in end she practically got asked to leave and so there I was trying to carry Em and drag Ash out while she had a tantrum over having to leave. Then last night was refusing to go to bed yelling no and lying on ground, think she was testing boundries! Better behaved today but was bit off this arvo had mild temp but was better after panadol.
No day sleeps here either, not for months and months!
I reckon we should plan to have a big meetup the year all the kids turn 5. Sort of like a "Yay we survived - now they go to school YIPPEE!" thing
Maybe, just maybe I might get to meet some of you at the August brissy meetup if we get posted there........
oh I like that idea Anna...we can have a huge birthday party for them then.
OH shiat Shell. I go through the no thing but Vy is so quiet in public and painfully shy. What did you end up doing when she went off? I need tips just incase it happens that all
Maz- It wasn't fun! In the end I just said we are going home because you've been naughty and rude to mummy and dragged her outta there. At least now she knows cause she keeps saying next time library and about being good! I've just learnt with Ash that if I make threats I need to follow them thru so she knows mum isn't to be messed about with.
PMSL, sounds like good idea tho. Can we have in another state from me I want a holiday excuse!:
"Yay we survived - now they go to school YIPPEE!" thing
I like the idea of a 5 year yay they are going to shcool thing :)
Shell - Naughty Ash. At least she knows she did the wrong thing.
Mrs T - Where in the States are you going? I worked in NYC a while back and just LOVE itthere. I also did a whole lot of other travel around the States.
I think Laurin may be in NZ at the mo. I remember her saying something about going on the plane with the 2 kids on her own.
Belle - Great to hear from you. I am doing pretty well. No signs of PND this time, just the normal mummy stuff...
Hi to all the lurkers. Shar, Rach, Kell,
DH has got a referral to go and have the snip. So def no more kids for us!
Hey all
Shell- ahh you should see Annika's tantrums.. her and Teleah time them too so they go of together , were mummy very thin sometimes. but we have one ever day at kindy when Annika doesnt want to leave so i normally have Millana in my arms and Annika being dragged out to the car kicking and screaming, not fun but cant do anything about it.
Maz- i was one that removed themself from the group.. I did it cause i wasnt able to come and felt like i was intruding.. no other reason (was kinda jealous actually)
we dont have day naps here either anymore
So what is everyone dooing for mothers day? I dont actually have my kids til after lunch :(but i guess that means sleep in
Ness I love your quote above your ticker
Thanks Meg!!! I love it too.. and from the rep i have recieved from it so do most others...
we must have posted at the same time b4, the snip hey... if i was still with ex we would have followed the same path, but in saying that now if i meet a new guy i want to be with Im def open to more babies
I want Df to get the snip, he always said after 2nd child he would and now time has come he now says no one is touching it, think he has that view in his mind that he'll lose his manliness if he is shooting blanks, ifykwim.
Ness- see it as a nice quiet sleep in then can spend arvo with the kids. Not sure what I'm doing, resting and playing wii fit probably! sometimes if Ash chucks a fit over having to leave somewhere I tell her to stay and I'll leave her there, worked for awhile til the park one day when she said ok and ran off to play, even when I walked off she didn't care! Lol.
A sleep-in sounds delightful Ness! Rans has gone shopping for his mum and our boys' mum, and dropped the boys at mum and dad's so I can get the house clean without interruption...as you can see I'm taking the cleaning very seriously....:p SILENCE! BLISS! I called Rans and said not to worry if he couldn't get a pressie for me, today is enough! :D
*giggles* at Ash's tantrums. Riv is learning heaps of new things here. Can unlock the deadbolt and wire door (which was handy when I locked myself out yesterday, he just toddled out and let me in), nicks screwdrivers and unscrews things if they're loose enough and is pegging pegs on everything.
Still no talking though. Trying to teach him the sign language for please. Someone remind me to book the boys into the MCHN this week...
Anyway. Time for a new thread!
