I love yr new user name Cougar! I so wish I could've spent more of the weekend with you girls, I'm already hanging for next year, can leave the kids behind then without any problems!
MrsT- I'm so jealous of you being in USA! Hope flight is ok, post yr pics for us.
Meg- How are the sickies?
Ash is driving me batty she gets so hyped up every evening after bath and dinner. And by that time we're exhausted!
Mrs T - I am sooooooo jealous. I lived int he US for a while, and I miss my friends in NYC.
Shell - They are all still sick. DH has been in bed since this arvo, and it has just taken me 40 mins to settle E, something I haven't had to do in abouta month. She has needed me to settle her for most of today for her sleeps, and she was settling really well on her own. Her nose is very blocked, and I think she just doesn't feel well.
Ness- Hows MIL going?
Kell - I have been checking out your cakes on FB. , They are great.
Spagetti tree was fab Anna...I had the marinara and OMG I couldnt finish it. I think we discussed the couple behind us wiht our chatter
SHELL - would be so good hon to spend some time with you or should I say more time lol
Vy has taken to waking up again and crawling into bed next to me....I dont mind until she is back in her bed once Jed gets her out and she cries cause Jed then screams to 'GO TO SLEEP' and scares the beejezzers out of me....stupid man should just leave her in our bed so we can all get some sleep
Heya Amber! Great to see you? How's your family going? How's Narre?
Si teething here, his incisors. PAIN in the butt. Or mouth, as the case may be. River his usual fun self.
Getting up with Rans (read: 6:30 or 7am) each morning, having coffee together and pray for each other for the day ahead - awesome awesome effect on our marriage. Wish we'd done it sooner, even though it's tough to wake up for this night owl!
Owie on Si teething. Hope it doesn't go on for too long, and Nelle you are a legend to get up so early as i know it owuld be hard for you. I was thinking of you yesterday as I had a coke slurpee.
My friend just wrote something really funny on facebook so I thought I would share
used to pray every night for a bicycle when he was 9-years-old. But then, one day, he had an epiphany; that 'God deosn't work like that'. So - he stole a bike and asked God for forgiveness instead
we are all great thanks! except for this damn cold and flu on and off... soon as it goes someone gets it again! grrr
girls are doing so well!! savanna is potty training and has taken to it like a pro!! Tia is sooooo cheeky.. little smarty pants...keeps me very much entertained!!
annat how are your gorgeous boys!! congrats on river!! how are u coping with three lil ones?? we are looking to try for number 3 in a couple months...im hell scared!!!
haha
Hi Ambz!! Glad to hear things are going well for you and your family, good luck with TTC number 3
Meg - That's so cute. How's things down your way?
Nelle - Poor Si. That's so great that you guys are sharing that time in the morning together, my DH's pretty hopeless with mornings , but we try to make a point to spend time together every afternoon. I agree, makes a huge difference, we notice it if life's getting in the way of our special time together.
Ah, my mind's gone pretty blank now. Things are pretty good here. Been a bit of a sad week, am going to the funeral of a 6 year old boy tomorrow Such a gorgeous little man, touched so many lives. The older girls will be in the guard of honour that the school has organised to do outside the church. What else, oh, it's our 7th wedding anniversary on Monday And we're having our 2nd child-free night since Miss A was born!! Just starting a new degree at uni too, really looking forward to that, looks to be really interesting.
Hi to everyone I've missed.

Shar- Thats just awful, it always feels much worse when its a child. Makes you want to hug your own kids even tighter hearing those sort of things.
What course are you starting?
Ambz- Hi, good luck with #3! Having Emily unsettled lately has convinced me to stop at 2! Lol.
I ended in tears this evening just from exhaustion, Emily is fine during day, even tho she sleeps usually only 40mins at time she is generally happy but then night comes and she spends alot time being unsettled, grizzly, cries when dummy falls out but then thrashes around so much she can't keep it in, can spend like 3-4hrs in the middle night just cat-napping every night.
shar - how very sad for that family. I'm sure it'll be a very sad day tomorrow for everyone who knew him.
shell - oh that sucks. Is she ill at all, or just unsettled?
ambz - great to hear from you, good luck with TTC #3
As for me, well I'm sick with the flu. Waiting on results to see if it's swine flu. I'm in quaratine until the results are in. This is by far the worst flu I've ever had. And it looks like Heath is getting sick as well. I really hope the girls don't get it, but it's a little hard to stay away from them when we all live in the same house.
Sharleens hon... your I hope that it goes well....what degree are you starting?
Shell...would you consider giving Em a formula top up at night? Just to take the burden off you a bit? Nothing wrong with it hon....I did it with Mateauz and it helped so much babe
Nelle - IM still in shock at you getting up so early woman....your never gonna live it down. And I agree it is much better for a marriage if its all 50/50 YKWIM
Vy is deriving me BANANA"S with her back chatting and attitude.....I cant say anything to her without her being smart back (and no im not like that around the kids) and her temper tanties..OMG I could strangle her!!!!! I look forward to her going to bed each night atm, I feel so horrible for feeling like this but she's doing my head in!
ETA - Jodi god I hope you didnt get it down here...apparently it takes 3 days for you to become sick after contaminaqtion...how long have you been feleing bad babe?
maz - sick since Tuesday night. And my goodness, I know what you're saying about Vy, Nina is exactly the same tonight! She's really testing the boundaries, that's for sure.
nelle - I missed your post. WOW at you getting up so early, now that's commitment! And good on you both, it's so important to do something special between the 2 of you. Does this mean you are going to bed earlier?
Maz- Yeah I do already, give her formula bout 9:30ish, gets her thru til 1:00- 1:30ish with one quick wake up in between (dummy easily settles) but then after that its all down hill! At the moment we're doing both formula nd breast.
Vy will improve, Ash still has attitude days but alot better. She went thru just like how Vy sounds, but me and Matt were commenting earlier how she is alot better, has become more cuddly too, cause she stopped giving us hugs and kisses for awhile.
I kept thinking if she is like this now what the hell will she be like at 15! The best thing is to make sure you and Jed are on the same page with it all. If Ash mouthed off to one of us the other would say don't talk to mummy/ daddy like that, think her knowing we were in union helped. Sent her off to another room sometimes til she decided she was going to be nice.
Jodi- Hope your great trip to Melb hasn't resulted in swine flu. Hopefully no one else gets sick, bed rest and lots fluid for you. And drug yourself up on panadeine.
Emily just unsettled, she doesn't seem unwell.
Yeah it does mean I'm getting to bed earlier, although the body clock still is retraining, takes me awhile to get to sleep. All went out the window this morning though, was up with the boys last night - why is it that the mucous they swallow when they have a cold seems to give them the most evil nappy rash? Poor Riv especially. Si was covered in grossness when Rans got up at 6:30 this morning so they showered together and Rans put him back to bed. I was so thankful. Hopefully they'll be fine tonight.
Shell. Do you think you could put her down to bed earlier? I remember Si being really unsettled and I started putting him to bed the moment he had tired signs instead of waiting til his 'bedtime' and that helped. I feel for you hon, any chance Matt can take the girls out on Saturday while you grab a nap?
Are you still hassling that man about a wedding date by the way? I remember that from ages ago.
Hope you're feeling better soon Jodi. I don't think I've ever had the flu, just gastro, and I certainly don't ever want it!! It sounds very unfun.
Oh no at the backchat Maz! I dunno how to help, I'd be glad for any chat here. Does she respond to a time-out/calm-down chair or anything like that?
Oh Sharle, it's always sad when a young one dies. Go gently babe. Woot on the night out! What are your plans? I want to know what degree you're doing too.
That's great Savanna's TTing is going so well Amber. Wow at number 3! Are you hoping for a boy or another girl or don't really care? Did you know we're building in Pakenham?
Made pizza tonight, salami and the other pizza was satay...the salami one was better. But hey, nothing ventured nothing gained, and I had satay sauce left over from satay chicken the other night.
Oh Jodi, hope you and Heath feel better soon, and the girls don't get it as well. How long 'til you get the results?
Maz - I think they're all like that at the moment aren't they? Ambah has gotten into the habit of chucking tantrums any time we're out. Meh, doesn't bother me too much, this too shall pass as they say. Now, when we're talking pre-teen girls, my patience is running a little thin but they've got their good points too I 'spose. Been an emotional week at school, and they've had two sports days this week, so they're tired as well, so emotions can be running a bit high.
Shell - Man, it sucks when they're bad sleepers, that light at the end of the tunnel just seems so goddamn far away!! Just take it easy, hope you can fit in as much rest/sleep as you can.
Nelle - Yummm love homemade pizza. I've been making my own bases lately, really yummy.
AFM - I'm doing a Graduate Diploma in Psychology. It's 3 years (but will knock it over a little bit quicker than that). 1st year is only 2 subjects, 2nd year is 4 and 3rd is 6. So not too full-on and Miss A. will be at kindy by the time I'm doing the 3rd year subjects. Term doesn't officially start 'til the 2nd July, but the lecturer put all the course notes, lectures, videos, etc. online yesterday, so I've started working on them.
Gonna crash now, night all.

good on you nelle for getting earlier nights, and waking up at the best part of the day, i have always been an early riser, never been able to sleep in.
shar goodluck with your study hun, and :hugs: to you, that will be a hard funeral to attend someone so young.
shelle, hope emily settles soon for you hun
jodi, hope its not the swine variety, rest up and take it easy
ambz, nice to hear from you and good luck with ttc3
caddie what is this bag your talking about, is it like my handbag, that i bought to melbourne?
maz, not only are we twins, but i think our daughters are as well
hello to all i have missed...
its 4.30 am i have a personal training session in an hour.....be nice to punch out some of my fustration. i went for a job assesmnet yesterday for a trainee AIN at a aged care facility, there are 10 jobs going and there was about 25 people there, we had group tasks, split us in groups twice, and my leader was this real nasty looking head of nursing, anyway that all went ok, but right at the end of the day they had to take us all for one on one interveiws, and there must of been about 6 profesionals there, and its was getting done rather quick, but i heard this head of nursing nasty woamn, say to the others..i want christine and this other chick to interveiw..so me and this other girl was sitting there in the room just waiting when everyone was interveiwed..it was really weird, not a nice feeling, as all the professionals were just picking anyone, and me and that girl was in th esame group, with another two that would not shut there f**ing mouths...anyway i got this distinct feeling, that i didnt go real well, everone had to fill in tax and super forms..very strange, if they are only emplying 10 of us......anyway im not real confident..just got a bad vibe....... and after asking the hour involved, as its a year traineeship, they can be anything nights/weekends/afternoon/early morning shifts..so even if i surprise myself and get it, the hours could be a bit hard with the kids....anyway i have started doing my aged care certicate3 at home via tafe..and thats exactually the same as the job i went for..so i will just wait and see i supppose.
I hope it goes well Christy - I sometimes have bad feelings about things just because I'm trying not to get my hopes up. And if you miss this one, it won't be the last job ever to come along. Although I know interviews and job applying is a major pain in the butt! Erk. Not looking forward to that one day.
Oooh Psych. Where will that leave you at the end of the course Shar? I remember my psych units (as in classes, not like a ward ) from uni - I loved the theory but statistics.....*vomit* Do you have to do stats?
