belle - so good to see you on here. Sorry you didn't have a good morning. I always find if your morning is ****, then so is the rest of your day. Although I do hope the rest of your day isn't like that. Try and smile and think happy positive thoughts.
annaT - a lot of parents do start their bubs on some solids earlier so don't think you're a naughty mother for any reason. When I was a baby my mum gave me a full weekbix at 6 weeks and from then I would have one every morning!! I've given Farex to Nina a couple of times when she's been on a feeding frenzy and I feel my boobs are gonna fall off.
You'll know if it hasn't agreed with him and it's too early. He'll be really unsettled and grizzly. If it has agreed with him he'll be content and may sleep longer.

AnnaT we hope to start TTC in April am seeing my RE today and asking him should we try naturally or just go straight back on the clomid

annaT - just read about TTC in the next 12 months. We were talking about this about a week or so ago and there are a couple here that are going to start in the next 12 months. I can't remember all but I think Rach is. I'm not, we don't plan on starting TTC until Nina's about 18 months old. I fell pg straight away with her, so hopefully that'll be the case again.

As for the hole forumula - farex -feeding thing. Its a hard one really cause so many people have their views and are set in their ways. AnnaT - follow your nose hon, do what you feel is right. I feed Vy a little baby mashed fruit (from the tin) at lunch too. She's stopped the tongue reflex thing and just pigs out. She knows if Im heading towards her with 'her' spoon and a small winnie the pooh bowl that her foods coming and she gets so excited.
Rach - if yourve offended someone, Im sure they'll let you know. If we cant speak our minds here, whats the point? I think the same as you, thats a hell of a lot of formula for one little guy but he quiet obviously needs it or he wouldn't be taking it. Its not like you can force feed a formula feed baby. They'll spew it back at you if they've had to much. And if their full, they wont suck on the bottle, they'll just chew on it. Now I hope I haven't offended you ;) or any one else.

Hi Girls,
I really can't keep up with this thread, it goes too fast so I'm not going to even attempt personals.
Samuel's still a really good baby. I can't believe my luck third time around. He's still fully breastfed and only having 4 or 5 feeds a day. Most days it's 4 but every 3 or 4 days he wakes earlier in the morning and adds an extra feed. He's so contented he feeds is awake for about 1.5 hours lying on his mat on the floor and then goes back to sleep until his next feed. His last feed is 7.00pm on the dot every day no matter when he last fed and then he sleeps from around 8.30pm to 6 or 7ish, unless it is a 5 feed day and then he will wake at 4 feed and go straight back to sleep.
He was weighed last week and is now 5.9kg so is obviously getting enough to eat as he's the same weight that his sister was at 3 months and he wasn't even 2 months yet.
I'm going to the belly belly NSW Christmas dinner on Saturday night in Parramatta and can't wait to meet up with other belly belly members. Are you still going Belle, if so it will be good to meet you. I'm taking Samuel with me as I'm spending the weekend in Sydney as I'm from Newcastle. I'm going down with my friend who is in the March belly buddies.
Well I must go and get back to sorting Christmas presents and digging out the tree ready to put up tomorrow. Kaitlyn is so excited and has been counting down the days till the tree goes up and she can start eating her chocolates out of her advent calendar.

AnnaT - your bub is taking how much formula he wants/needs to grow honey, every baby is different. My PAED told me the indication on the formula is just a guide.. I give Julia my boob and 180mls in the arvo so who knows how much she gets I cant measure my boob!
Charli - thanks for the hugs mate, Im ok this arvo just feeling lightheaded and tired from the medication, will be ok.

annat i dont think your giving him too much if he is taking it all your doing a good job riley is on 250 ml every 3-4 hrs sometime even 300ml depeands on the day.
and YOu CAN NOT force feed a formula baby at all they will only drink as much as they want it is the same as a b/f baby.
i think the people that have a problem with annt giving her baby that much shoule see how much there baby is having as every baby is different.

I havent taken offence Rach, it seems like heaps to me to but if I cut it down to 120ml a feed he is screaming about 15min after drinking the lot wanting more. I didnt get any of the farex because there were like a bazillion different kinds. MAZ, MAZ do you use the 4mth rice cereal or the 6+mth whatever?????
He actually slept the whole 2 hours we were out, and then at our last stop he smiled and "talked" the whole way round the store in the baby-trolley. I had another mum compliment me on my beautiful boy and also say that I looked fabulous. Um yeah ok if 10kg overweight is fabulous.....
Anyhoo I should be doing something constructive or Dh will rip into me when he gets home about being lazy.

AnnaT - I use the 4 month rice for Vy and just a heap teaspoon into the bottle AFTER its warm up. Shake the crapola out of it to and make sure yourve got a bigger teat hole. Ive got one teat especially fo rnight time feeds.

Well done adele on the 1.6kg weight loss!! woohoo.I have lost 2.8kg so far.
Wiggles was good though i am tired as this week i have been a busy mummy,i got abit teary when greg said his goodbyes on the bigscreens.I must be bloody hormonal!! Speaking of which i forgot to take my pill so better go do it nowwww....

poor Ash got really upset at the shops today i think she was just tired and all the noise and lights prolly were too stimulating. She had a sleep in the car and was so settled once we got home.
just to let those know who haven't seen the ad theres a show on tonight 8:30, channel 9 called look whos talking. Don't know if its going to be any good but thought i"d check it out. Something to do with babies cries I think.

How big a teat hole Maz? OMG thats sounds naughty doesnt it lol Might grab some tonight and try it out, cant hurt and if he doesnt like it I'll stop. My mother made mention of starting Jett on solids by 5mths as he is such a guts with his formula. Might make all the difference. They stay on formula til theyre 1/1.5 dont they?

Had another bad vomiting epsiode again tonight. It just poured out of his nose and mouth and he panicked again. Then DH and I had a little argument. I asked him if he was angry with me. He said no why would you think that, i said I dunno. Then 20mins later asked him why he was poopy. He said he was hurt by me thinking that he was angry. And I said I felt bad because I was feeding Eithan and he said he flet bad for not getting to me and Eithan quick enough. So I think both of us just felt bad for the poor little bub. Oh well all sorted out now.

Oh, I thought we started at 10pm, at that was late, it's not really 11pm for us is it? That's super late...can we make it any earlier?
Are these time differences right? 10pm in Vic/Nsw/Tas, is 9pm in Qland, is 8pm in WA?
(Sorry Adele, lol, is SA the same as Vic, or an hr inbetween?) If that's the case, could we do it 10pm or even 9pm Vic time? Otherwise we won't get to bed til after midnight!! Ouch.
Just had my sis and her friend over to practice singing something for some church Christmas things...I think we've been a bit ambitious as usual...it will take a bit of hard work for us to make it sound awesome...we usually pull it off each year though...this is definitely our most tricky to date though. Hmm. Well, we'll see how we go!

Hi Ladies
It seems like Rylee has been permanently attached to my boob all day, must be going through another growth spurt as she was 12 weeks on Tues. and....the only sleep she had all day was at 9 am this morning - who knows??? I went and visited a friend and her newborn bub in hospital today - you forget how tiny they are, but I must say rather her than me - I found the first six weeks really hard and overwhelming so I am glad I am past that stage and kinda feel like I know what I am doing (well a little bit of the time anyway!!!).. Also, went to a baby massage class today at the hospital where I had Rylee - most of the stuff I was doing already but was still good to get out and do something different IYKWIM.
On another note, Rylee still hasn't slept through the night, tonight I am going to give her a feed of formula at 10 pm and see if it makes any difference.
Better get back to it.

rikki - watch the show and jed and i both commented that Vy makes the same noises but we clicked to what they were anyway. I think the more kids you have, the quicker yo ulearn to 'read' them. It was good though and I want to put a list of the words up anyway.
Annat- I just make the whole in a teat bigger using a hot pin. God that shounds so old school. hehehehe. I hope the little man slept fo ryou mate and that you got a good nights sleep.
its 10pm VIC time for the msn thingo next week - ah god im confused. GOing to post my KK thing today. Was up until 11pm making it and my cards. might send it express to make sure my person gets it. especially after the f@@k ups last time.
Caddie - I have to find time but it sort of helps me settle myself down after running around like a **** all day.
Better feed themonsters and get Vy up. She slepts from 7pm until 4.30am again. But daddy dearest snored from 1.30 until 4am keeping mummy awake. Made him feel like $hit and he got up to her at 5 after I feed her. She took another 120 ml and has been asleep since. Not for long...

I watched the Look who's talking show. It was good but would have been better if they showed a bit more of reading the babies cry rather than it being mainly a firum for chat on it.
Ashleigh does most of them but for hunger she usually does a cough noise rather than a "neh" noise. Plus too i've more often gone on body language also to see if she has pain or is uncomfortable. Would have been good to have at the start when you don't know anything but over the weeks you do start to just read into your own baby of what each noise or action means though i'm not always right but mostly i get it.
Well i will prolly be around for our chat thingy. had a xmas party to go to but its a set dinner thing and seeing as Ash has a routine of massage and booby then sleep I need to be around for the booby part. We tried it out with Df trying to settle her without me around but she just got too upset so no nights out for me, prolly not til she's older and i get slowly wean her off the habit of needing boob to sleep at night. In the day shes fine.
Laurin- i love baby massage. i forgot what we learnt in the class and we sort of do our own thing but must work cause it always makes Ash smile. I wouldn't be too worried bout rylee not sleeping thru the night, some babies don't do this for months. Ashleigh still wakes on average twice a night and she's nearly 11 weeks.
Nelle- I wish i could sing, the only fan I have that will listen without telling me to shut up is Ashleigh. Maybe its cause she hasn't been able to tell me to shut up! LOL!
Helen.p- Oh poor Eithan. Its easy sometimes to get bit funny with partners when babies worry you.
Got coffee with mothers group today although its only me and one other. Everyone else is busy. So i guess its not really a "group".

Riley slept 7 Hours last night first time ever. about time i think lol
adelaide is 30 min behinde mazs time lol so anytime will do me fine as im up till 10.30 everynight dont know why just am.
helenp - hope eithen was ok after his chucky moment. its horrible to see them like it. me and simon fight all the time when i need him in a hurry he is so slow that his nick name is grandpa. lol
shellbell - i watched it and thought the same they needed to show more about reading the babies than just chatting. i have noticed that riley says he is hungry for everything lol. and he isnt hungry when he says it lol. so i dont think any of that will work on him :)

It's the 1st Dec today :P I can put up my tree now!!! I'm decorating ours in gold and silver balls and things. No tinsel this year. Trying to copy what the stores doo :eek:

Jodi - PMSL at throwing the tree out. I did the same last year, and opsie had to buy a new one. Cant do the same this year though-bugger. Id love to buy one of those pink trees. Might wait until after christmas sale and buy one then.
Gonna try and put up a pic of our tree on our flicker website. I cant decorate it for **** and mine ends up looking like something from outterspace but the kids have fun adn thats the most important thing.
Right going for shower now. DRopped kids of in my pj's this morning. NOt a good look at kinder but they all looked at me and understood. Ah stuff em.
