Thanks for the info re moving onto food Rach. I did it differently with Bella and had no problems but thinking of waiting longer with Eithan.
Well teas nearly cooked and Eithan is having a bit of a moan. Talk to you all later.
Love
hi all.. starting to pack boxes tonight.. Both kid are sleepig and i am having a very nice little drink and packing boxes
hopefull to get back on tonight, otherwise chat tomorrow!
Helen - love the new pictures ~!!
ambz-I've cheated this year, most of my chrissy presents are vouchers. Not that they are bad but usually i like to try and find a gift that will suit everyone but sooo can't be bothered this year wandering around trying to find something. Vouchers are also good for last min shopping.
little*princess- sound like my IL's they also mean well but can only take them in small doses.
Rach75- Maybe stick with your group little longer it may get better, maybe ask a few if they want to meet up outside that group where that BFing chick isn't invited.
A girl in my mothers group was telling me today how when she had her DD she weighed just under 3kg and the midwife decided she had to have formula because of this and gave it to the baby without telling the mother and getting her consent! Can you believe that? She only found out later on that this was happening and was furious cause she had plenty of milk pouring out this nurse just had decided ahe had to have formula cause she was small!
shell, I can't believe the nerve of that midwife, how dare she!!! I would be writing an official complaint regarding that.
rach - I agree with shell, stick it out and see if others mums wanna meet outside of that group. Even if it's just one or two mums.
little p - have fun packing!!
I'm another slacker with the Xmas presents. I've done a couple, but still have some to do. Heath finishes up next Wednesday which means we'll be without an income for a month, and have to pay 2 mortgages  so with Xmas on top of that, it sucks big time!!
thanks girls there are only 7 of us and the group seems to have been formed because of this BF assoc and one of the girls, will see how it goes we aren't meeting again till after the new year anyway
adelle re PM you haven't added me I dont think I have had no alerts or anything :dunno:
well Jase wants to go to bed which means I have to watch jack he wants cuddles *sigh*
Ugh this smoke is so bad, I could hardly see in front of me driving home from dinner with friends tonight.
Im off to bed as bub is asleep already and Im loving my 8+hrs of sleep again lol
Chat tomorrow.
hi girls, i have stepson here for a week and we're celebrating christmas as dh will be away christmas week.... so don't think i'll be online much. just wanted to let you all know, and to say sorry i kept missing you adele. my hubby said your MSN message popped up but he doesn't know how to work msn... only lime wire....MEN.
hey girls,
rach i have added you gain if you dont get anything from me could you try and do it from your side hugs4eva99@hotmail.com.au.
annat- that would have sucked driving home in all that smoke. glad you made it home safely. hope you have a good night sleep.
shellbell - that is so bad. i would be writting a letter to the hospital where she works and to the head of the nursing unit. and make it very well known. i was telling simon about it and he was just in shock that a midwife would do that.
jodi - dont you hate that when you dont get paid for a month. hope all goes well for the month .
well im off to get mister grumpy to bed as he is screaming the house down. his legs are really red from the needles he had today. must keep an eye on them. poor thing
hope everyone has a good night
Adele
thats cool rikki. simon is like that as well lol they only seem to like that program. hope you have a good christmas week :)
sorry sharleen but i have to laugh at him passing out with your towel under his head. hope you managed to get som sleep. i have been up all night with riley cause he is whinging still abut his needles. as soon has he got a hug from simon he was sound asleep if i knew that i would have woken him up in the middle of the night grrr.
well im going to have a shower and breakfast before i have to wake akira up for kindy.
talk to you all later
Adele
sharleen hope you got some sleep. Did you kick the **** out of him while he was passed out for waking you ... I would have ;)
We had a fairly good night last night. Getting Nina to sleep took a little longer than usual. I had Heath try and settle her for bed for the first time and she thought it was playtime with daddy!! It was so funny, she just kept giggling and laughing at him. I took over and she was asleep within minutes :D mum's got the special touch hehehe
She's only just woken up and Heath is already at work so she's missed playtime with daddy this morning, she normally gets the ****s when she misses him in the mornings so I wonder what my day will be like ...
Sharleen- How did Aaron cope getting up for work from the bathroom floor! I hate when my Df is ****ed, he drinks every sat night and he knows he either has to crash on a mates couch or sleep on our couch, I told him I already have one baby to attend to in the night!
Adele- How's Riley today? Ash was a little unsettled for about 48 hrs after her needles. They have so manny at this age, can't believe have to go thru it again at 4 and 6 months!
Jodi- Us mums have the touch, I let Df try settle Ash sometimes in case I want to go out and leave him to settle but it doesn;t work to well, I think maybe cause I have a set way to settle her that she's just used to.
Well I have a couple friends coming over today, don't know what time though, they both had b'days in Nov and slack me still hasn't got presents for them! Might have to make it a combined b'day/ xmas gift!
sharleen - i would have thrown some water over him and quickly ran out of the room so we wouldn't have know it was me. make sure you make plenty of noise around him today. thanks re the cloth nappy thing yesterday too matie.
Adele - i PMSL at your pm yesterday. very vague cause of all the smoke and the stink around here at the moment. My sines's are playing up majorly and ive been getting blood noses cause ive had to blow my nose so much. so my minds not really with it.
RIkki - have a lovely week with DH home and your SS. Tell your DH that I love LIme wire too.
AnnaT - still bad with the smoke up your way mate? you be careful driving.
Better go, got all the kids home (chucking a sicky) so we can all go and see santa.
bbl
xxmaz
I was wondering the same thing!:
How did Aaron cope getting up for work from the bathroom floor!
Maz - I got your package! That tree decoration you made is gorgeous... it is hanging right below the star on the tree and looks great. Xander loves his book too, funnily enough it happens to be his favourite song - so great pick there. Oh, I've sent off that cover to you so you should receive it sometime soon. Did you buy any more nappies?
Jodi - My DH can't settle Xander at night either, I really have to work on it as it would be nice to have a 'night off' once in a while.
Rikki - What is Lime Wire?
Belle - How you doing hon?
Adele - How is Mr Grumpy's legs today? hope he is ok after those needles.
Shell - I cannot believe that midwife said that!! OMG. She should get into so much trouble for that.
LP - How is the packing going?
Rach - My mothers' group is pretty much the complete opposite of yours... I feel so left out there as I am pretty much the only one breastfeeding (exclusively) and using cloth nappies. They are all doing the formula and disposable nappy thing. It's getting so bad that I really dunno how much longer I'll keep going as I'm really feeling left out.
I've pretty much finished all my Xmas shopping - just as well really as people are so rude in the shops. They think nothing of ramming me (and Xander) out of their way and I get worried he'll get hurt... the pram is pretty much useless in the shops at the moment as the aisles are so full of crap that it doesn't fit through.
Big hellos to those that I missed.. Ambz, AnnaT, Helen, Chrissy, Caddie, Nelle, .. hey has anyone heard from Merrie lately?
Mazzer - yep the smoke was really bad yesterday but its not too bad today. My nose is running like a tap though yuk.
Anna - Lime Wire is like a download program thingy. My hubby uses it to d/l porn and sometimes songs but others use it for d/l games and stuff :cryinglaugh:
Well Mister Jett woke at 4am after going down at 10:30pm. Why? Because he'd wet through his nappy and all in his bassinette. So up I get to change him and the bed, then he wouldnt go back to sleep soooooooo I had him lying on my chest to hopefully put him to sleep. Eventually it worked but holy moly, he weighs a ton, I almost stopped breathing lol He then decided we were only sleeping in hour intervals until 7:30am when he finally went back to sleep til 9:30.
Aww Thanks Lil P, I have my ticker set up as my desktop background. Little Alexander looks pretty cute in his santa hat too.
Sharleen-ugh naughty husband.
Well this afternoon I have an appointment with the clinic sister to get Eithan weighed and measured and to also get an opinion about the way he holds his head.
Well better go Leith has the next few days off.
Love
AnnaT- I hate when they do that hourly wake up thing, you wake up feeling so tired.
Anna**- My mother's group has mixture of breast and bottle, not sure on the nappy front. We don't really talk bout it all though we more chat bout what our bubs are doing and if they are growing so I don't think anyone ever feels left out.
My friends have ditched me so I'm all alone today, have some dishes and washing waiting for me though, how exciting.
well i feel much better re mum group the girl who organised it originally and apologised for BF lady being there etc, and asked for my honest opinion on meeting up without her lol she asked i gave lol, so come new year wew will try to meet weekly withoutBF lady WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OK enough of that now, Adele i see we have msn soughted :D
jack is being painful today very whingy and unsettled :( so must go

mmm,im in abit of a ****ty today. My sister was meant to come and take millana swimming today so id get a break and allow me to go up the street and get a few things i really neeed. But no as usual something happens and shes sick(she had a big weeken apparently, drinking it up) So no banking,no nappies,no new potty for millana,no homemade dessert for mums bday tommorow as no ingrediants,so no 5 mins to myself.I rang mum as i was upset and told her shed have to buy one as i couldnt go up the street and i had a cry from stress. She told me to grow up.Real nice. All u girls that have assistance and daycare for other kids i envy you.Im going as i feel like ****,but its a new day tommorow.
oh caddie i know how you feel. it wont be long until millana is in kindy then you will hav e a few hours to your self sort of.
just try and do your best. when your hubby gets home go and have a nice bath if you can.
Adele
Just want to say a big owwwwwwww to all us having rough days :grouphug:
River's grizzling to the MAX today, I'm stuck on the couch with him across my lap patting/rubbing his back. Counting the minutes til Rans comes home (about 20 to go!).
Thank goodness for catalogues and my laptop :P
Hopefully back later, sorry I'm not on more lately, but this growth spurt is pretty demanding! I just call him Little Whingy these days :)
Whats happened our bubs have been so good now they're all grizzly. Ashleigh had the biggest screaming session and she's not done that for a long time, usually she settles with just a little whinging. I put her to bed as normal when I see tired signs and she just started crying as soon as I put her down, so had to carry her around for like 40 mins cause as soon as I put her down she'd scream. Then she just got so overtired that she was crying even while cuddling her! Finally she fell asleep. She was fed, clean, I'd burped her a million times in case of wind, did the whole leg thing incase of tummy pain. Nothing I did was right!
caddie- :hugs: It sucks. i find it hard enough with Ash trying to get time to myself cause she can be so demanding with wanting booby all the time. At least I get some time out when she's asleep. Must be hard trying to entertain Millana all day and have a baby! You would barely have time to scratch yourself!
God she's only been asleep 30 mins and is crying again!
oh shell! doesnt that sux!!!
Hugs Caddie and Nelle and Shell , oh and everyone else having a tough time. Oh look at little Ruby, she's wearing a santa hat aswell, how cute. And look at little Xander asleep in front of the christmas tree (buddy you have to be awake to see santa!).
Everyones tickers are looking so cute.
Just a quick one. Eithan weighs 5.6kg and is 60cm long. We have a referal to a physio regarding possible tight neck muscles on one side.(he was screaming at the time)
Love

Helen - thats fantastic that Eithan is putting on the weight. I bet you feel like a big boulder has been lifte doff your shoulders from the early months. Your doing a wonderful job. well done
CAddie - Ah mate how selfish of your mum to say that to you. I bet she had help when she had all her kids. I feel for you mate, I know were your coming form. Jed's mum told me that he and I should go out more by ourselves and have a life without the kids aswell cause of Wilhelm ect. I asked her if she was offering to baby sit and she had no come back, yet she has Jed's sister kid 3 times a week. Ah they fUUk'n $hit me! I'll take both your babes hon while you have some YOU time any day. Give your m,um a kick up the butt for me as a birthday present and dont you dare do anything for your sister any more. She deserves a slap around the ears!
Nelle and Shell big hugs guys. my eyes feel like their going to fall out of their head. my asthma is playing up cause of the smoke from the fires then Vy thoughts it would be great fun to wake at bl00dy 3.20 and stay awake until almost 5. Mummy needs some vallium pronto!
Anna - im so glad you liked the christmas deco mate. Just my way of saying thank you for thinking of my little rat bag. That pic was stolen from your web site. then simon can deal with him lol.
later
Adele
Do a search on Torticollis... that is what Xander has (tight neck muscles on one side). How is Eithan's head control? Xander's is terrible, hence why he is going to physio.:
We have a referal to a physio regarding possible tight neck muscles on one side.(he was screaming at the time)
Sorry to all the mummies havign a hard time of it today... Xander is also playing up, I think he is overtired, but wont settle. SO I'm gonna take him in the spa to chill for a bit, then he should sleep once we are out.
Maz - 9 Beehinds! wow.. you are building a stash up quickly. I lurve waiting for fluffy mail!
Thanks for that word anna! I will google it as its probably what ruby has.The paed at the time just said tight muscle.Has improved a little but not as much as i hoped.
MM just had a quick squiz and ruby doesnt have it.Well i refuse to acknowledge she has it anyway.Too serious for my liking
I thought I would drop in and add to the conversation re: neck muscles.
I took Paige to a Paediatric Chiropractor and I cannot rave highly enough about the care she recieved and what a difference it has made to her.
I will cut and paste my post on another forum for you...Paige had a simple, painless adjustment to her right shoulder, as she had minimal neck movement to the left hand side, Paige always had great head control from birth thow...Paige is now sleeping overnight in blocks of 6 - 13 hours.
She is no longer vommiting up as much as she was, and no longer screams from the bouts of reflux she was having.
:
After some manipulation of Paige the Dr assessed that her right shoulder was causing her the discomfort, and was perhaps contributing to her feeding issues due to the nuerological link plus her inablity to feed properly on that side.
It was her right shoulder, and you know how a light bulb just goes OFF in your head...I was able to tell the Dr so many things, that on their own don't mean much, but put them all together and WHAM!!
* Paige always sleeps with her head facing right...The Dr could hardlymove her head to look left it was that stiff.
* Paige always turns to the right when playing with toys.
*Paige always leanes in her carseat and bouncer to the right.
*Paige would fuss and cry whenever I was trying to get her right arm in the arm holes of her clothes.
* When changing Paiges nappy, I noticed her torso was always slightly off centre, and I was always trying to get her left tab over properly.
*Screaming when I wrapped her tightly, as I was pulling her shoulder forward.
So from now on we have to...
*Follow all the feeding solutions as far as the reflux - keep her upright after meals etc no bouncing around etc.
* Switch sides more often on the breast...as soon as she shows discomfort, burp her and swap sides.
* Lift her holding her around her ribs and not directly under her arms...we should all be doing this, as it puts a lot of pressure on their shoulder joints.
* Make sure we encourage Paige to sleep on both sidesof her head and on her back.
* Loosley wrap her...her opinion was that at her age the wrap doesnt need to be tight, if she sleeps well at night...just use the wrap as a cue. Her shoulders need to stay flat and not rolled over when I pull the wrap tight.
my poor little man is so out of soughts today :(
not your normal whingy just different to how he has been ever, so we just relented and he gave him some panadol, at 8pm he then took 40ml of formula and has dropped off he has been awake since 9am poor baby
so fingers crossed the panadol worked and he can sleep whatever is bothering him off
night all going to have a shower and hit the hay in case he wakes and wont settle
so tired today,, back another day to chat
Thanks ChrissyT. We are actually going to be moving Eithan to a cot soon so that we dont have to wrap him so tightly. The problem in the bassinet is that he gets free and then bangs his arms on the side which wakes him up.
Hugs Rach I hope that he gets better soon and has a decent sleep.
thanks Anna, I looked it up and I dont think that Eithan has it bad, maybe just a touch of it.
Better go everyones in bed.
Love
oh... don't stress about the Torticollis girls... it doesn't have to be as serious as you've probably found on google, certainly didn't mean to worry any of you. Xander has only a very mild case comparative to what some kids have.
