wow, there has been so much happening on here I don't know when to start,
whoops out of practice with posting duh!!!
Adele, not good news about Simon in the car accident, hopefully he has come to his senses and apologied to you!!!
Caddie - I don't think I could cope with another at the moment either!!!
Everyone - sorry I have lost track - hope you are well and bubs are all happy.
DH has gone away for the week for work so it has been flatchat here and Rylee hasn't been sleeping in the day either, some days I think I am going insane!!! Shell - I agree with you about feeling trapped, I feel the same way sometimes!
Nothing to report, all boring stuff here!!
Laurin
Morning all,
Its still warm and stuffy inside my place so didn't sleep well again, constant headache. Should cool down in here today though.
Laurin- Nice to see you again, that sux DH gone away, I hate when mines not around for just a night cause you can't even get 5 mins to yourself!
ambz- Happy 4 months to Savanna!
We found out on the 4th Jan we were preg so we talked about it on the date and went over the whole "remember this bit..." It is weird though thinking bout due Sep 07. Lately for first time I've actually have missed having that little bump, well it ended up as a huge bump. But be awhile before next one. I'd like to go and do midwifery course inbetween. Either 2008 or 2009, will just depend on our finances cause gotta pay for the course then I won't be able to work much if at all while doing it. So we will see.
OMG a due in sep 2007 forum......how depressing! I was in melbourne this time last year with Nikolaus. We took the train and I sort of already knew I was pg as i was throwing up all the way there. hopefully this time next year there will be another little wormy growing in there.
Nelle - im going to dig my overlocker out today now. Im getting the itch to sew. I found a pattern for nappies on line....hm interesting. PMSL at river pulling down his toy bar and I cant believe you left your camera at home....your terrible.
anna - ive sent a few emails i'll try again today and see how we go. I did ring bigpond and yelled at them about their service and how fooy my whole email system is. I hope they've fixed it or its another phone call. Hope Xander is getting better with his teething. I hope he is nt wearing you down to much mate.
Caddie - Im so glad to hear you sold your bassinet. Did you end up selling your WW books? Ive already sent in a pic of Vy for the photo comp. IM going to get the one on on her web page blown up but. I love her in yellow it looks great on her cause she's got my mum's oliver skin.
Happy 4 months Savanna. Man Ambz she is absolutely gorgeous. I could easily take her off your hands.
Shell - good plan mate. I hope that you stick to it and dont surcome to temptation...lol Our place has finally cooled down. I snored like a log last gniht Jed said. I didn't even hear Vy wake up at 2 bugger, Jed had to get up and be usefull for a change.
Laurin - is Rylee your only child? I cant wait to have number 4, the sooner the better for me.
I packed up all of Vy's 000 cloth's today into a suitcase ready for number 4. I felt a bit sad knowing that she's no longer a newborn. They seem to get so independant quickly eg, wanting to sit and not lay all the time, laugh, and spit talk to you. Vy has a habbit of touching my face now when I give her a cuddle. Both hands come up and just reach out for me. It just plays at my heart. I hope she's always a mummies girl.
Enough gooy talk, i need a caffine fix
xxmaz
Sorry Maz, no e-mails from you over here... and I've been gettign them from other people so I know my account is working properly.
Nelle - There are some similarities between them isn't there? I am actually hoping to get over east sometime later this year, but will see how finances go (we've got none!) - If I do come over, we'll have to arrange a big meet up.
Ambz - I love that new photo of Savanna! it's too cute.
Gotta fly...Xander is awake again. I can see two white marks on his bottom gum now, and the top two look close as well... hopefully they will hurry up, tho I have heard teething can go on for months. Arhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
morning girls,
last night was hell riley didnt sleep as well cause it was cooler than normal lol. akira was up and down like a yoyo. i was going to get my fit strip out and wrap it around her and her bed lol.
simon hasnt even said a word to me yet. i think its because i havent lol. mum said he cant sense what i might do yet lol. cause im on the phone all the time to the insurance company giving them everything they need to know. i have to much to do now that i dont even have time to my self at the moment.
nelle that is so cute ill have to see that photo if you can get one of him doing that.
maz that is so cute of vy touching your face. akira is a mummies girl lol all has been. ive emailed you as well.
hello to everyone else
Adele
Hey Maz, where's my rain? You didnt send any of it this way! Is Vy in a walker in one of her piccy's? Where did you get it from, it looks fun!
Adele - sorry to hear about the accident. I know how sucky it is :( I got rear ended by a guy easter last year (no damage to my car) and he is trying to sue ME for the money to fix his god dang sports car even though it was HIS fault. Can you believe it? Stupid idiot was driving without shoes on and all he kept saying was "OMG my brand new sports car" not "OMG your pregnant are you ok?" Some people huh. Luckily I saw the cops about it the next day and they noted everything down so he is in big trouble!
Wahoo Jett slept 11:30 til 10:30  Im still tired though, I just dont know why
Back later.
good afternoon !!
thanks girlies she is growing sooo quickly and is such a little poser! absolutely loves having her photo taken! hehe wonder where she gets that from?? .. must be daddy
wow its cooled off so nice today. i have cleant the whole house and changed the bed linen. made hubby vacuum the lounge. god i hate carpet!! we will be moving in three months so we are looking for a house without carpet!!! the rest of the house is tiled which is ssso much easier to just sweep.
i was such a ***** this morning to hubby.. just nagging at him... i knew i was doing it too which made it even more horrible.. maybe it had something to do with HIM WAKING ME UP WHEN I WAS TRYING TO SLEEP IN!!! loll
shellbell- do you have to already be a nurse to do the midwifery course?
annat- i feel really tired when savanna sleeps really long through the night. maybe it due to oversleeping and your body is not used to it.
anna** - wow he really is an early teether isnt he!!! im sure savanna is teething as well but i have not noticed the teeth coming through yet. good luck with handling it i heard it can be a really unsettled period!
maz- i cant believe we were all just pregnant this time last year. for new years eve last year i partied sooo hard and drank so much. i had no idea i was pregnant. i really consider myself blessed that savanna is so healthy. when i found out i was pregnant i was sooo worried about it too.
oh i dont know if i have already mentioned that savanna has started trying to eat her feet! its so funny watching her.
better go organise lunch
have a lovely day ladies!
love ambz
Did i tell you i had ruby weighed? Cant remember, anyway she is 6.10kgs.The same amount of weight millana was at 6months!! Go figure.Ruby is fitting into 00 now an i remember millana in them at 15months when we went to melbourne.
Savannah is such a cutiepie.Anyone entering bubs in comps liike little aussie and such?
Maz,i sold my ww books for $100!!! Lots of people out there wanting to lose weight. And my bassinet for $80 so can't complain.Im saving up for an antique chinese cabinet with lots of draws for my cds.Hopefully it will be their after i save $1700 for it! Expensive i know but i cant stop thinking about it and alot of our furnture is seconds and i want to get some new stuff.I have a big money tin!!
Not much else to reprt, waiting on results on rubys poo and i may go do some scrapbook for 5 mins!
hey girls,
wow annat that has gotta suck i have never had a crash touch wood. at least you were ok. that guy sounds like the one that hit us he was more worriedabout his roobar than a car it has been ripped open because of it. we were just luck the kids werent in the car with him or i would have had akira in hospital.
caddie thats all right sounds like you really want that cabinet. hope you can save up the money for it.
ambz- savanna looks so cute in that photo.
i have just cleaned out the car and taken the car seats out of it and vaccumed them like mad now im going to was them i just want to make sure there is no glass on them at all.
well i better go and finish cleaning up my house now.
later
Adele
caddie- Sounds like Ruby is nicely putting on weight. As for baby comps, I can't put Ashleigh in cause she may show all the other bubs up!LOL. No I don't think they'd be much fun cause every mother will be sure there bubs is number 1.
ambz- I am already a nurse so I can do the 1 year midwifery course, otherwise there is a 3 year course to do just midwifery.
AnnaT- Thats fantastic Jett slept so long, I find even if Ash does an 8 hour stint I still wake up often cause my body must just be so used to waking often.
Adele- How things with Simon? All kissed and made up?
Anna**- I hope Xander doesn't take this long with every tooth to com through! How cute he will look though with a little toothy peg in his mouth!
maz- It is sad putting away clothes. We'll never have them so little again which is sad but then they keep amazing us with new things and its exciting.
Been out for a big walk today. We haven't been out the house much these last few days with the heat. Ash must've really enjoyed it cause its the only time she hasn't whinged today!
Shell, would that man if i was an EN i would still need to do th 3yrs first? Can you do it external, the RN? I think its great if you want to become a midwife! Plus you have experience already.
OMG... I am SOOOOOOOO Sorry...
I have been so so so so slack, we have been flat out this week, it's been a joke!
I think I have caught up, but Kiara is about to wake up for her last bottle before going down for the night... so no doubt I wont get through too many personals...
If I miss you, sorry, but HELLO and Hope your doing well.
How good is this rain... not that its been a lot but every bit counts... our tank is empty and we need it to keep our grass and garden alive... we have rolled grass out the front and really dont want to loose it.
Kiara is doing so well... not sure if her teeth were on the move just before Xmas cause she was being a bit clingy, but since just after she has been an angel... sleeping at least 8 hours.. YAY and hardly crying at all during the day. People ask if she is a good baby, and I have to reply couldn't be better,.. fingers crossed when she does have a tooth come through she copes ok...
Shell - Yay at becomming a midwife... my sister is tossing up midwifery and becomming a doula... Good on Ya!
Adele - I hope things with you and simon are better, and that your copng without a car... fingers crossed yours is back soon.
So sorry... gotta run, princess Kiara is awake... Have a great night all...
Love always
Mel
PS - Sorry for being so slack again...
I'm back ... did ya miss me? I'm sure you all did!! :D
Well we had a great time away spending quality time with Heath. It was the first time since we've been together that we've really had a holiday together (except for our honeymoon). Visited friends and rellies in Townsville which was nice. Nina though is a different story ...
She's still going through the growth spurt, big time, and feeding every 2 hours, DAY AND NIGHT! She's been very cranky this week and pooing 3-4 times daily. She has about 4 teeth coming through, which are taking their time, and causing her a lot of grief.
But she's learnt some new movements this week:
* she's started sitting up unsupported
* bringing her legs up and playing with her toes (she started this about a month ago but does it all the time now, even when in the pram!)
* saying new baby babble using her tongue, as if she's trying to put words together
* laughing, instead of a little giggle it's a proper laugh
But the biggest thing is that when she had her needles done 3 weeks ago she weighed 6.2kg, now she weighs 7.5kg and is in 0 size clothes!!! No idea how long she is.
While we were away I didn't give her any solids, but with this feeding every 2 hours day and night I'm going to start it again and see how that goes.
Sorry for no personals, there was over 100 posts to read through and even though I've read them all, can't for the life of me remember what's going on!
Hey girls, glad your holiday was good Jodi. Clever Nina, sounds like she's learning a lot! (And feeding a lot, wow)
Hey Mel, that's great Kiara's being so good for you.
Caddie, I bet your local uni could tell you what you would need. Or maybe Shell can! I forgot you were a nurse Shell!
Yay on Ruby's weight Caddie, man sounds like Millana was tiiiiny!
Oh Ambz, I reckon I'm more of a cow to dh now we've got River too! Maybe cos I'm more tired than usual and more inclined to be grumpy? I find I really have to bite my tongue at times.
AnnaT, I am always exhausted these days, and River's been sleeping through for weeks! No idea what the go is with that. I haven't been able to get to sleep before 1am the last couple of nights, which is really frustrating since I'm so tired. Hope I can sleep tonight!
Anna, man I really hope you can get over east this year! I'd love to go west sometime, and when I do, you can bet your bottom dollar we'll be dropping in on you guys!
You've got an overlocker too Maz? Awesome! I'm not at the nappy making stage yet...I'll work my way there...though buying nappies IS pretty fun!
Well, I might make myself a big hot milo to try and help me sleep. Nite girls. xo
Hi All.. well i still have my computer, but only for another couple of days.. so just a quick howdy to you all.. will be able to catch up and try and be more sociable when i have finally moved..
xoxo LP
hope all are well.. Alexander is rolling and his constant feeding every 2 hours has gone back to 4-5hours so we got thru the growth spurt without introducing bottles or solids .. YET!!! it was hard going and i was so tempted to wean,.. glad i didnt ..
Nelle - i thinks me off to bed too.
I dont even have the energy to do personals - whip me later!
Ive been so tired for the last few days. I think this heat wave we had has finally caught up with me.
Good night chickens, see you in the morning
YAWNNNNNNNNN
Sounds exactly like Xander... 'cept thank goodness he isn't pooing like Nina. yikes. I reckon Nina weighs the same as Xander now (he's around 7.5kg and going into 0's):
She's still going through the growth spurt, big time, and feeding every 2 hours, DAY AND NIGHT! She's been very cranky this week and pooing 3-4 times daily. She has about 4 teeth coming through, which are taking their time, and causing her a lot of grief.
But she's learnt some new movements this week:
****, he's awake again.. bbl.
Hey Shell, you wouldnt happen to know what Uni's/Schools run just the midwifery courses? Ive always wanted to be a nurse specifically to become a midwife. It would be great if I could just by pass the normal nursing and just study to be a midwife. Im too lazy to do both lol After having only midwives at my birth because Mr Jett decided to throw convention into the wind and do exactly the opposite of what first time babies should do (take their time to come) I definately see midwifery as my calling, they were fantastic!
Well Ive decided to take Buddha with me when I go to Sydney for the 21st party. My sister is going to babysit and put him to bed while Im out and even offered to have her boy/friend drop me off and pick me up so I can get snozzled  That wont be happening, I'll only have to SNIFF alcohol on someone's breath and be staggering all over the place. Its been ages since Ive had anything alcoholic to drink - I think last count is was 2 years :shhh: Thats my problem hehehehe
Well Im off to bed as Buddha is down for the night - he fell asleep on his playmat spot on 10:30. What a good little boy!
good morning girls,
what a night riley just want settle so i have to pace our street to ge him asleep. i normally take him for a drive when he is like that so it was alot harder this time round. never got him to sleep till 1 am then he was up at 3 then 5 then 7 so im not a happy chappy today.
i have just rang aami to get my car towed to the place so it can be looked at.
wow all these babys are growing up so fast.where has the time gone???
jodi hope your hoilday was good. i should have went with you lol.
well im off to do some house work as it is all i can do for the week now all my plans are out the window.
later
Adele
morning ladies
im off to the MCHN (if Wilhelm ever decides to wake) they have an open session today and im nosey to see how much elephant weighs
BBL
xxmaz
i still have to get riley weighed at some point when i ever get to the shops lol .
Morning all,
Adele- Poor thing, tell Riley from me to let you get some sleep! Maybe you could hire a hammock and see if he'll sleep better in one of those so your not up every night pacing.
AnnaT- Sorry don't know off hand which uni's run them. Maybe check out Deakin or LaTrobe. They didn't have the courses when I finished high school, had to do the nursing first. You'll prolly feel alot better taking Jett with you to Sydney, I reakon if you left him at home you'd be worrying the whole time.
Jodi- Glad you had a great time. Nina sounds like she has been thru a huge developmental stage. Sucks on the regular feeding though. Really tires you out. Sounds though like Nina prolly does need solids.
Mel- i think a few of the bubs here have been thru a funny stage. Ash was the same round Xmas and all that week, very clingy and wouldn't settle, couldn't even leave the room without fuss.
caddie- I think you need to be RN first but if your already an EN I think you can do the RN course over 2 years instead of the 3 then do the midwife course. I think it depends on the university. Otherwise you could just go and do the 3 year midwifery course. Both would take same time but you'd prolly be better off doing RN then the midwife course.
My sister and nephew are coming over again today. James is very gorgeous he loves coming here and we always go down to the park. Its really nice, 5 min walk from my place and it has a lake and we feed the ducks.
After Ashleigh's one night of sleeping 8.5 hrs straight she's gone back to waking 3 times a night again! No wonder I feel so tired, at least when they woke that often in the first few weeks I could rest in the day but cause she only has short naos now don't get much sleep!
hi all, busy busy so not much time to chat just catching up and subbing
had a lovely time in gympie jase gran was so in love she is 97 I think and the strongest of all the grandparents including my mum and jase's mum when it comes to nursing Jack I had no probs leaving him on her lap while we had afternoon tea :D
anyway mums group at 1pm we having a lunch get together so best get a move on and clean up doing washing ect, get to shop as well,
so chat later
Shell - mate I hear you. Vy slept for 2 nights right through and then BANG she's back getting up twice. Can we change our minds now and return them?
Adele - good luck with the insurance company. I was gong to get VY weighed but the centre is closed until the end of January. How rude!
Better go hang some washing
Golly Gosh! I can't believe that some of these bubba's are fitting into 0 clothes... Kiara has Just gone completely into 000, last week I put all her 0000 away and got all the 000 out... She is still in NB from pumpkin patch, but fits into 0-3 months nicely now, I don't think she will be in the 3-6 months for a while!!!
I reckon she is weight around the 6kg mark... I tried her on solids the other day as she wasn't taking her bottle, but she wasn't interested, she kept pushing it out with her tongue, so she isn't ready yet... might try again in a few weeks as she has been quite chucky. She still feed 3-4 hourly during the day but I have just upt her bottles to 210 mls (which makes about 240mls of formula) and she isn't leaving too much of it behind!
What do you girls think... am I on the right track?
shell - I agree, I think it's definitely time for solids. Have started again this morning and will continue every day now.
mel - I think you're on the right track. She'll let you know when she's had enough, she must have needed the extra bit of formula now.
anna** - is Xander feeding heaps at night too? How are you going with it? I'm so tired, thankfully she still likes to come into bed with me in the mornings and go back to sleep otherwise I couldn't cope with starting the day any earlier than 9am when I've been up every 2 hours during the night to feed her.
Jodi - Yep, Xander is feeding heaps at night too... it is really starting to wear me down, especially as I'm the only one with boobies in this house. I could cope if he actually slept, but he is only sleeping for about 7 - 9 hours total in 24 hours at the moment. I know that is nowhere near enough for a bubba this little - but he just wont settle.
I'm at a complete loss right now as to what to do!
Sorry girls for no other personals, I'm a bit down at the moment (might have something to do with lack of sleep)... but I am reading what you are all up to and loves yas all.
thanks girls... I want to wait til she's a bit older, i think!
Anna Bummer about no sleep... I am so lucky with Kiara... have you thought of starting solids or adding a formula feed??? just an idea... a happy baby equals a happy mum... and thats what counts... I hope you feel better soon.
I have been up since 4am!I got 1 child back to sleep then the other wakes!Grrr.
I think ruby is teething she seems to settle with gel.
Rach,i havnt recieved any scrapbook stuff?Have u sent it?(lol)
Apart from that today i went and seen a friend and mum and dad. This arvo i hope to get a rest, wish me luck.
Anna, I know exactly how you feel about being down at the moment. With little or no sleep, I've been in tears most of the day. I organised to meet some girlfriends for lunch today and the whole time they gooed over one of the other girls bub, who is 7 months old, and just talked between themselves. I felt really out of touch with them and when I got back in the car had a good cry. I wish there was a quick fix for the solution with our bubs, but unfortunately I don't think there is. I guess I've just got to go with the flow and hope and pray she starts sleeping again soon.
Is it normal for bubs to poo so much in one day? She's done about 6 today?!?!
jodi- about two weeks ago savanna went through something similar
nearly every nappy change was a poo
and not just any normal poo but a really runny greeny coloured one.
it went on for about 1-2 weeks then settled down on its own
at the same time she was very clingy and unsettled and wanted to chew on everything in sight.
she would also scream when drinking her milk which was unusual.
she is back to normal now
it may have something to do with teething as it supposedly comes in phases???
ambz that's Nina down to a tee!! Good to know there's hope of it all getting better soon!
oh jodi sorry to hear about your day hope you feel in touch with your friends soon. i know how u feel if you ever want to talk you know where to find me :) wow on how many times nina has done poos.
caddie yesterday was like that for me. hope you get some rest soon. akira is a asleep and riley is in and out off sleepi dont think i can ever get the to sleep at the same time.
later
adele
Was going to post, but I can hear River wailing...he's really a pain in the whatsit today. Might go rescue Rans from him.
I'll finish reading your posts and catch up with y'all later.
Anna and Jodi- Hope both these bubs of yours settle down. Its just awful when they get like that. Its hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel and you just keep wondering when will this phase end! Hugs to you both just take each day or each hour at a time! Could you get your partners to take them after a feed in the day sometime just so you can try get some nap time in?
We had a nice day at the park, Ash loves going she gets so content to just watch everything going on.
Yay! Neighbours is back tonight, highlight of my life.
hoep all you girls have a good night with your bubbas and i hope they settle.
akira has a sore ear again so im going to get mum to give me a lift to the drs later tonight to get it checked out. we think it might be all the weather changes we keep having here in adelaide.
well im going to make pizza for tea talk to you all tomorrow.
adele
adele & shell, thanks for the chat earlier.
adele - how'd you go at the doctors? I'm hoping 2007 is going to be a healthy and happy year for you.
Nina was a breeze to settle tonight, we did her usual routine, bath feed then bed and she was sound asleep by 6.15. She woke up at 8 for a quick feed so she still maybe doing the 2-hourly feeding. I'll let you all know in the morning I guess.
Just a question, what do you all do with your bubs during the day? Do you have them on the ground playing most of the day? Or do you carry them around with you? I never know if Nina is getting enough play time on the ground. I try to do it a couple of times a day, for about 20 minutes each time. Sometimes she would rather play by herself or just watch TV. Also, do you read to your bubs? I've been meaning to grab a few books and read to her maybe before bed.
Jodi and Anna-So sorry to hear the troubles you are having, but at the same time it's nice to know that someone is going through it too, as of late I have been feeling depressed and down because of the same things. I hope things settle down soon.
love
