Hey girls...I know what you mean Helen, it sucks that we're all tired and grumpy but it's so nice to know that lots of us are going through the same thing, so it's not our bad parenting, and we can all help each other through it.
Riv was really wriggly and unsettled all day, and now I can see bumps on his gums at the front, so I guess it's teeth that's bothering him. We're getting by without anything for it, but perhaps I should go the chemist and get what? Bonjella?
With the midwifery, I've got a friend who's doing straight midwifery for 3 years, and she's LOVING it! Instead of doing nursing first and learning lots she doesn't need to know for midwifery, she gets to spend all her time focussing on learning to be a midwife. I know she'd highly recommend it. Doing nursing first would be good if you thought you might want to do other types of nursing at some stage too though.
Yay that Nina settled well tonight Jodi! River did too, I tried something new with him, put him in his bed, but left the lamp on, and hung up some clothes to dry in his room and tidied in there, so it wasn't like I was leaving him straight away, and I could keep his music on til I left. Didn't hear a peep out of him after I left and turned the lamp off, even though he was awake when I left him...that movement must get him settled and tired enough. I'll try it again tomorrow night, so we'll see if it was a fluke or not!
Congrats on the photo thingy Rach! Maz, if you think the yellow flowers/itti photo is better, I think I read that you can send another and ask Leah to use that one instead. Surely you would win with that one, it's gorgeous! Though I haven't seen the other one you have...and Vy is pretty cute.
I don't even know what I'm doing on here, I have a killer headache. Just having a bit of me time I guess. Might try and sleep soon. Night girls xo

to all the girls who's bubs won't settle *hugs* - we have the same thing here and I am going slightly mad as DH has been away for the week. Rylee won't sleep during the day and everytime I move out of her sight she starts screaming - it is starting to get to me. DH is home tomorrow thank goodness. Anyway hope this phase passes soon.......

hey girls,
akira has another ear infection grrrr. so i was up and down like a yoyo last night. and to top things off me and simon had a huge fight where it end up him going to bed early and leaving me up with the kids trying to sort them both out grrrrr.
jodi- i have riley on the floor most of the day or in his rocker which ever he seems happy with. most of the time he falls to sleep while playing lol.
nelle - yes its called bonjella its in a blue box u can get it from coles and places like that.
boo boo - sorry to hear rylee is grumpy hopefull it passes soon and you can get some time out.
well im going to have a lazy day where i do nothing. but lay on the lounge lol.

i think Ash favors her daddy cause whenever its my turn to get up in the morning with her she'll wake around 7:30ish, when its Df turn she'll sleep til like 8:15 and this morn slept til 8:50 for him! I bet tomor she'll be up early again!
adele- Grrr at Simon for leaving you sort them out. Next time you fight quickly go jump into bed yourself! I hope Akira's ear clears up soon.
Laurin- Rylee sounds like how Ashleigh was not long ago. It will pass. Its just hard cause you can't get 5 seconds to yourself without them carrying on!
Nelle- Its great when you find something that works to settle them. i stay in the room some nights with Ash then others I can't cause she thinks it must be playtime if she can see me!
Jodi- So how did Nina sleep? I hope she was a good girl for you. Ash plays alot on the floor in the day. Well when shes in her good phase. I don't carry her all that much except when shes going thru a hard time or is unsettled. Generally we have lots floor time, moderate time in the bouncer. Whatever makes her happy at the time. I have tried to read her books, I got one of those Lamaze books that are made from material and have things to grab and feel, I never get to read more than couple pages before its in her mouth!
well we tried to do the deed last night but didn't work out. Was too painful so had to tell poor Df to go sort himself out! I feel like a virgin again! So looks like poor Ashleigh may remain an only child forever!

well mums group was fantastic yesterday we decided to bring stuff for a lunch at 1pm and we didn't leave this girls house till 5.50pm :eek: anyway we are doing the same next week, so looks like mondays are mums group only :lol:

Rach, my AF is due next week and Im the same, part of me wants her to not show and part of me is crappig my pants she wont show!
It was our 2nd wedding anniversary yesterday and we managed to have an ok day with only minimal whinging from Dh. We went out to dinner with friends last night and as we were leaving the manager made comment on how good Jett was :) I put him down at 11pm and he slept til 10:30!
Except its smoky here today, yuk, so Im sure we'll all be grumpy and out of sorts.

Awww Shell, keep at it mate, it was uncomfortable for us too (til we cracked it and threw the dom - and the rest of the box - in the bin!).
I've been having headaches lately - even resorted to Panadol last night (I'm usually too tough for drugs, lol). I even wore my reading glasses to see if that would help...though it was probably too late for that...I really should be wearing them now hey.
Hey AnnaT, it's great when they sleep so late hey - it's a bit like the sleepins we used to have before babies! I didn't have to get up to Riv til about 10:30 too, but I'm guessing it's because he was so tired from his little gummies hurting yesterday.
He's rather rosy cheeked today - is that a teething thing too?

ahhh riley is so unsettled today i cant do anything with him he wont take is bottle or dummy. i think he is getting a tooth as he has a nice lump at the bottom front.
shell- thats a good idea i should just start yelling at him when im already in bed lol so he cant get in there lol.
well it is starting to look like we might end up with a new car with in a matter of weeks 2 companys wont work on it at all.

I'm almost sorry to say this but Jack has been a absolute legend sleeper he has been going down around 8.30pm and sleeping till 8am then usually goes down 1hr-1 1/2 hr later for a big nap 2-3 hr:eek:
nto sure if I mentioned it, but we weren't sure how he would go travellign even though we go away heaps anyway friday night we got as far as Gayndah 3 1/2 hr before he wanted a feed, we could have kept going but it was after 6pm so we thought nah lets stay here, he was real good slept well we had to wake him to get going sat morning :lol: bit cranky sat evening but he had been nursed all day by great gran and passed round etc, then we drove down to Noosa for a look and back to gympie so we found motel but he was still down by 9pm and he slept in till 8.20am :lol: and sun arvie we got all the way from Gympie home 5 hrs or so without a feed or anything, we stopped for a pee stop for us and changed Jack then but wasn't till 10km out of town when he had had enough, such a good baby
well best go it is so hto here today summer sure has found us :(
off to mums thrusday night/friday night then down to gladstone sat arvie and back home again sun nite then we dont go away till the 25th :clap:

my car is getting fix yay. total damage done was worth $3697 that was half the of what it is worth. i dont get it back till the 29th jan if all goes well. ahhhh 3 weeks with out a car help me.

God this tiredness has just really hit me. I wish Ash would stop waking 3 times a night. She usually only takes 10mins to feed but just the getting up is harder and harder. Cause I only get like 2.5hrs between feeds. I think tonight I'll be in bed early!
I'll write more tomor, Ash is wriggling in my lap!

Oh girls, you must be EXHAUSTED! River's sleeping through and I don't have any energy, you guys are amazing. Ooer...hope it's not pregnancy tiredness. Lol, well I'm not doing any tests, I'll let you know if I ever develop a bump (highly unlikely).
Although River IS being a right sod, with his teething, lol, you shoulda seen his face screw up at the taste of the Bonjella! :lol: Very Funny. He's doing alright now, though we're a little behind with his feeds, and I didn't want to send him to sleep on only 3 feeds. So I'll try again at 8:30 maybe.
Anna, that sounds like it's gonna be a cuuuute cake! How's Xander doing for you?
Well, might get back to my sewing. More nappy wipes. It's getting boring, but I neeeed them.

Jesse is teething too.. today seemed the worst so far. Would cry if i put him down. He still slept his midday sleep though. This evening he was just whinging in pain. I tried wet washers in the fridge and they help for a little while. Dont have any of that bonjella stuff, is it good? Do you get it at a chemist or would woolies have it?
You poor things.. i hope they sleep through for you at least one day soon. Jess is down around 8pm and wakes at around 6am and i dont know why, i still feel tired. So i really feel for you.
Btw.. all your babies are gorgeous in your tickers :) Must be that age ;)

Ruby has been well behaved,she had 2 2hr naps today and only waking once in the nite.She was unsettled this arvo with bad wind and sore teeth but once those problems eliminated she has gone to sleep. Hope you girls get a reprieve in the tiredness stakes and have at least one nite for catch up.
Sorted some baby clothes and put them on ebay but kept a couple of favourates of ruby's that were 000000!!! And some 00000. I cant believe my baby is now a chuba chup.My dad calls here bert newtons love child!!!
Okay girls,chin up.Theres a light at the end of the tunnel.When its your first you think the problems will never end but soon you will be celebrating 1st bdays and you will forget all the horror times and want another!! I did,so did maz,helenp,chrissy!! etc. I miss my DD millana baby smell and how she use to fall asleep in my arms as soon as i gave her a bottle.Ruby does the opposite she chats herself to sleep!

all our babies look soooo adorable in their tickers!!! look how much they have grown!
It feels so weird sitting on the computer this early (8:40am)
normally savanna has her morning feed then back to bed and mummy follows too! hehe
i have to pick hubby up from work soon so no point in me going back to sleep. my little angel is fast asleep. she slept about 10 hours straight last night and the night before it was 12 hours straight. i guess i should consider myself very lucky as she sleeps really well during the day too.
Hubby set up savannas swimming pool yesterday. its soooo fantastic i wish i had one of these growing up!! it has a water slide a spa corner (no bubbles though) basketball hoop and other goodies all inflatable ill have to put pics up soon. We were hoping to take her in it today but looks like its going to be a veryyyy smoky day :(
i have added a rant about my sis in law in the RANT ROOM if anyone wants to read it. GRRRRRR not happy jan!
we received some really horrible news yesterday.
A friend of ours passed away the other day from stomach cancer. HE WAS 25!!!
his partner who is also my friend has 2 young kids with him. A two and three year old.
He went to the hospital on new years day with stomach pain and was sent away as they found nothing. suffering in alot of pain his partner took him back there. they did another scan and found a huge tumour which has spread far too much for any hope of treatment. He was given only 4 weeks to 3 months to live. The next day that he was supposed to go home to be with his family he passed away in the hospital bed. Its such a scary thing to think how easily someone can be taken from us without warning. My heart goes out to my friend and her family as i could never imagine life without my hubby and i know how much i depend on him. It really makes you appreciate your loved ones so much more and realise that small petty things arent worth fighting about. Just remember to always say i love you no matter what. Rest in peace Pat. You were a good man! xoxox

ambz- Oh my god Ambz, that is just awful. How devastating for his family, I just don't know how I would cope. Its so sad that one day someone can be here and next thing they are gone without warning. What a shock you'd never stop and think that the tummy pains would be so serious.
chrissy- Sounds like a zoo up there at your place! You won't know what to do once they go back to school.

Nelle- Hows River today? You get more feeds into him? I can't believe he fed so little cause Ash feeds so often! I reakon she has bout 9 in a 24 hour period then a couple of comfort feeds too on top of that!
I'm thinking after I get a sippy cup for Ash and get her liking it I might give her formula instead of BF as last feed at night just in the hopes she'll sleep longer. She goes down at 8 and then is awake by 12-1am so thats only 4-5hrs then she wakes every 2.5-3hrs after that. I don't get to sleep til 10:30ish so I miss sleeping in her big period of sleep.
We are going to a BBq to night at a mates of DF, and yay he has air con, I won't want to leave afterwards!

Ok have thought of a name for number 4 already. We're gonig to stick with Mateauz Joseph for a boy but Ive fallen in love with WIllow for a girl. What do you all think? I want something different yet something old fashioned. My mum has her heart set on Heidi (Hmm NO!) I always pick out my names about a year before I even fall pg so dont stress girls Im not there yet.

Im going to definately have to get some teething gel tomorrow when i go out. Panadol works for a little while but i dont want to give him too much.
Does anyone know, does it matter that theyre teething when they get their immunisation needles? Or is it only if they have a flu or a fever or something?

Ambz.. im so sorry to hear about your friend. Its crazy how something you think is just something small can be something so serious. My FIL had a cough all last year.. thought it was just a flu thing as i had something similar while pregnant and when it didnt go away, he found out he had lung cancer. He wasnt a smoker either. So just before Christmas he was in hospital having it cut out. It looks like they got it all so fingers crossed its gone. Makes you think how priceless life is and how you cherish every moment with something happening to your friend so young.
Just wondering too, does anyone do any scrapbooking here? Ive started doing one for Jesse, just interested, if anyone has the time with the lack of sleep you poor things.

Ambz, DH is the same re kids. He wants them all close and yesterday too. I want time with Jesse first.. so we're aiming at starting to try towards the end of the year. Im getting more excited too about having more.. just not about the labour part.. trying to keep that out off my mind. Dont know how id be able to handle having young kids all together.. though i didnt think i could handle Jesse and im doing ok, i think ;)

i documented my pregnancy throughout the whole time and am just trying to finish savannas birth story. ive kinda forgotten a few details here and there so need mum to help me out hehe
ok i better pull myself away from the computer. gotta go pick hubby up,
