chrissy - when my DH was a baby, he never crawled, just rolled around, then one day apparently just got up and walked. Within 3 days he was running, and negotiating steps up a ladder. He must have been sitting there that whole time working out just how to do properly!

chrissy - way to go on losing 5kg this month!!! You must be proud. I've managed to lose only 1kg this month, and that's probably cause I'm sick. Heath commented last night that I'm looking good ... think it was cause he wanted some!
shell - when we give Nina her medication, I lie her down on a pillow so she's not lying completely flat, and give it to her .5ml at a time. If I give it to her in one hit she'll spit it or throw it back up. Her antibiotics aren't too bad, .8ml, but Demazin is 2.5ml!

I am just sticking my head in and saying please don't feel bad etc if you can't do personals to everyone. We are all very busy mums and often don't get to sit down for long periods of time at the computer. With such a busy thread there is alot of posts to get through for people that don't log in often etc, so occasionally some ppl may be missed.

Are you allowed to mix their meds with juice or milk to make it taste better, or is it the sort of stuff that can't be camouflaged?
I slept in til sooo late today (not sure if Riv did, he wasn't making noise, but when Rans went in he was awake), I've been so slack with Rans on holidays! He's practising drums at the moment (on his electric kit, so it's not too noisy), and today we're gonna catch up on some cleaning so that maybe we can have a day out tomorrow or something.
ETA: Hi Kathryn! Thanks, I think we Sept girls have prided ourselves on not missing people, but I think we're also accepting now that it's IMPOSSIBLE!! Especially now our bubs are starting to move! Or drooling on their dad's pillow...better go.

Upper left hand side (looking into his mouth) I think it may be the one thats suppose to come in 3rd or 7th.......... its like a tiny white tip and it looks a bit red. I cant think of anything else it could be as the rest of his mouth look fine :dance: :clap: Explains why he absolutely destroyed a rusk yesterday after not wanting anything to do with them before.
Chrissy, way to go on losing 5 kgs! And going to the gym regularly, I wish I had your commitment.

Shell.. Thats what we have to do with Jess and panadol.. just squirt it at the back/side of his throat.. then stick the dummy in straight after but guess you cant do that with Nina since she wont take it, maybe a finger?
yeh we've mensioned it to a few people who have heard of it and who have said it helps all different things.. not sure how true that is as i havent seen anything first hand, but FIL will take a chance at anything atm i think.
Chrissy/Belle.. cant wait to meet you both too!!

Kell- Ashleigh doesn't have tooth yet either but I can feel one coming and she's always biting down hard on her hand where it is.
Chrissy- I noticed on your web page you and Caitlyn have Anne as middle name. Me and Ash do do except without the E. Congrats on the 5kg lost. Must be a good motivation to get you back at the gym knowing its doing a great job.
AnnaT- Yay on tooth, it is odd for first one isn't it. I think generally bottom ones come thru first?
Nelle- It sounds like a good idea mixing the meds but I know with Ash it wouldn't work. She only takes breast milk from the breast.
Jodi- Yeah we been doing the lying on pillow thing, she tries so hard though to get it up.

well I think tooth #2 is on its way, his #2 are horrible and he is opukey again, last weekend he started this and then mon/tues ughh wed tooth came thru well this time it started yesterday so am thinking thursday tooth #2:D

BOught Vy a new high chair that goes ontop of your existing kitchen chair. She loves it. Sat there and ate a tin of pumpkin and roast beef. First thing she's had to eat in a week and ahalf.

Oowww go Vy in her new high chair!! The high chair we have for Jess (we were given) is too upright at the moment i think so im just feeding him in his bouncer. What does everyone else do?

Oh another question.. Ive had Jess in his lie down bath seat for a while and now he's starting to try to sit up. And also when he starts kicking he kicks himself out of it! We have one of the upright seats already too and was wondering if i should give him a go in that now.. so i guess my questions is.. is anyone using one of those bath seats now?

kel - we had to retire the lay down seat about a month ago and swapped it for the seat. Give it a go and see how he likes it. You never know, he might just be ready for it.
chrissy - you should be very proud, Caitlyn is gorgeous! And so are the rest of your kids.

Kellx,im feeding ruby in a bouncer.Sometimes in the ikea highchair we got as millana wont get out of hers.If i put her in highchair i tie a sash around her for more support.
She also is in her layback chair,she wouldnt be strong enough in her back yet and mine couldnt cope either trying to hold her up!!!
No teeth yet for ruby but mum thinks not too far away.
Millana abit sickie still.wish she get better.My friend jayne another bb girl had her baby girl and i wanna go see her and claudia!!! Id like to see a tiny bub again.

Kellxx - Rylee doesn't have any teeth through, yet....also, just feeding her in her bouncer - havn't got round to getting a high chair yet, but won't be long...also, I did have a bath seat for her but now she just lays in the bath and has a splash around...

Another hard night. The longest she slept in a block was 3 hours the rest were not even making it 2 hours before she was awake crying. I hope it doesn't continue too long. I guess not being well stuffed up her sleep patterns.
Her renal u/s was all good, nothing abnormal, just gotta go to the Dr's today to check results of urine spec to make sure she's on the right anti-biotics, which she must be cause she's so much better.
Kell- Ooh that tooth will be thru before you know it! I'm getting scared of teeth I don't want to be bitten while BFing!
Laurin- Hope all goes well with the move. Talk to you when you,re set up next!
Nessa- Its nice that you posted that story. I think its good for everyone to read a positive story after you were feeling so down and crappy. I'm glad things are working out well for your family.
We're having family photo's done this arvo. They wanted to get professional ones done before Fil starts chemo. B.i.l is organising and has bugged me abit cause we are being told what to wear. I was told Sun just something dressy and something casual so picked out my outfits only to be told last night what colors I have to wear etc! We all have to wear dark for dressy which I think won't go too good in a photo, I'd think the men could wear dark suits and the women wear pretty colored dresses it will look to severe everyone in black!

with Jack he is just in big bath on his back and as he loves water it is fairly deep he floats and splashes absolutly loves it

That was my first thought, was it made up?? I really hope not cause for some reason it got to me all afternoon and I just kept hugging Nina and crying.
We had a great night here last night. In 10 hours, Nina only woke once!! That was at midnight. She woke up at 5 cause she was a little cold, I just rearranged her and she went back to sleep till 7.
And we're all better now too!!! She's ok to go to daycare tomorrow except for one little problem .... cause I was so exhausted for the past week I haven't been able to express on top of feeding her, so I only have 300ml in the freezer, not enough for daycare for tomorrow and Thursday. Hopefully I can get enough today for at least tomorrow.
nessa - it's great to hear that you and DH are sorting out your problems, and that you're getting to the bottom of things too. Thank you for sharing your story, I'm sure you feel better now that you've got it off your chest.
Do you know what is trigging the headaches, do you think it could be the medication your on? I get cluster migraines all the time so know how you're feeling.
kel - can't wait to see the announcement!!! Luckily Nina hasn't bitten down on me yet while feeding. Hopefully she never does either!

hi to everyone I've missed. Nina's gone to sleep so I'm gonna get stuck into rearranging the rooms. I'm moving her into the back room today or tomorrow, she'll have rainforest views!
maz - hope you don't have it for long, sucks doesn't it. How's Vy, is she sick or just you?
shell - that's weird about them choosing what colours you should wear. Hopefully the photos turn out ok though. We had family photos done in October, when Nina was about 10 weeks old and I hadn't lost enough weight so I hate them all! We're going to Emerald in July for my Aunty's 30th, so we're going to have her do some more then as all the family will be there (she's a photographer)
I am sooooooooo tired my eyes are hanging out of my head, even after a strong coffee. Went to bed at 11, bub went at 9. He had me up at 5am crying and fussing (must be the teeth) and didnt get him back down til 6:30, I eventually had to leave him with his stuffed shark and didi and walk out. He chattered for 5min and then zonked out til 9:30. Im still knackered though, I have NO idea where my energy has gone.
So I will be MIA today, everytime he sleeps Im going to sleep and see if that makes a difference.
