Nessa,my god it almost sounded like my story!!! Thats why i did ww to feel good about myself.I hate my body and saggy boobs.Hubby and i have not been intimate for a long long while.I may sit down with him too and talk about fitting some TLC in.We just dont have time for each other and cant be bothered making it.Our focus is on the kids and running life.Not good.My libido needs a boost and i told the dr i needed viagra.

now as some of you are aware Jack is what most would call a very easy child, he sleeps thru he is very flexible in his routine, ie going out to tea, going away etc, he got 2 teeth with no problems

when I go to mums group I feel on the outer for this very reason, they complain about sleep issues, feeding issues, teething etc, when I make a comment I get the look one of the girls even :rolleyes: at me, ok I am the first to admit I have a great child, he has his moments like no day sleeps etc, but should i feel like my comments are not worthy of being heard becuase of this

See i knew there would be more of us.I just dont want to be the one embarrassed not having sex! My friends and i were the same when we had our first bubs,pretending all was fine,that bubs slept well blah,blah when it was a load of ****!!! Just took 6months too to open up our feelings.

Rach,your alowed to have your opinions.They are most likely envious and should be asking what you do for jack to settle so easy.I would love to know and i wouldnt roll my eyes.Perhaps saying all the negative bits makes them feel part of a club? Maybe at a meeting you should ask one thing about parenting and their babies that make them feel good and get off the negativity for at least one meetup.

Mine is: I love it when millana gives me a hug and tells me she loves me.I love it when she sings in the car.Its so cute and i did it all the time as a child.
Ruby has the most cheekiest smile ever!! She loves to be roughed up and thrown up in the air(gently) and giggles.
I love it when they are peaceful and sleeping too.

rach - I'll be honest here ... I have girlfriends who are always saying they have 'perfect babies'. They sleep through the night, when they're teething it doesn't bother them, they've never been sick, yada yada yada. And to be honest, I'm sick of hearing it. Every time I see them, I hear it. If I say Nina's had a bad night, they respond by saying 'oh ... I'm so lucky that ... sleeps through' When you've got a baby that doesn't sleep through the night, or whatever it is, you secretly envy those women that do have babies that sleep and don't want to hear them brag. Now I'm not saying that you sit there and brag, but if I have to hear my girlfriends brag about there babies any longer I'm gonna scream.
Anyway, that's my two cents worth.
Having said that though, your comments are worthy of being heard. Maybe when they've had a good night with bubs or when bubs has been really good for them, then make a comment about Jack being a good baby. Maybe just leave those comments to yourself when they're having a rough time. Just an idea.
ETA: Just thought I'd add I'm talking about girlfriends I have IRL, not on hear. I love to hear from you girls when you're bubs are behaving themselves. It's just these girlfriends of mine who think that a baby not sleeping through the night is a 'bad baby'!!!

To those who are clogged up and need to fart, I get like that heaps too. And I always get unclogged at the worst time, like when Heath wants to DTD or something. I'm very private in that regard and have never farted in his presence.

caddie - Nina is a squealer too. When she's really happy (mainly when having nappy-free time) she'll lay there squealing while playing. It's cute but sometimes annoying.

when he wakes in the morning and I go in and say morning sunshine and he gives me the most beautiful smile ever also when he has his bath and I pick him up we play (this sounds weird I know) shake the babay and I shake him to get rid of water he throws his head back and giggles

Caddie.. i have 2 fav things. First is Jesse laughing. He's only just started to get into laughing and its just so gorgeous, makes me melt. The other is his cuddles, esp when he's asleep in his bouncer and i pick him up to take him to his cot. He puts his arms around me, one around my neck and im just so inlove, i just want to hold him like that all day.
Oh yep watching them sleep is just so priceless.

I love when River leans against me for a snuggle and then looks up at me. That's when I feel like I'd do anything for him.

It's hard to find a balance isn't it Rach - I have a friend who really struggled with getting her little boy to sleep - though sleep school's helped heaps. I have a policy of not saying how Riv's going unless she asks, cos she knows he's a good baby, so she'll only ask if she can handle it. It's not like it's her fault her bub is unsettled, that's just who he is.

Rach - i just think we forget others sometimes and their feelings. I have very bad days with Vy and the others but I count my blessing, like you when Jack is having fantastic days. I know what its like to have the most horrible baby there is. Wilhelm screamed blue murder for the first 16 months of his life. I told someone recently that I cant wait to have another baby cause vy's been my best and they say oh what happens if its a screamer? Cant be any worse than having a high functioning autistic kid.
Honestly its hard to hear that when your not dealing with the whole mother hood thing and unsettled baby thing, how great of a baby someone else has. It hurst cause it makes you wonder if yourve done something wrong.

Its a nice idea Caddie to put down what we love cause we come on here and complain to each other bout all the bad times its nice to hear all thses great things.
So what I love bout Ash is whenever she wakes from sleep and i go in to her she gives me the biggest smile and kicks her legs so excited. I guess i adore anytime she smiles and she does it alot. My heart melts though when I see her asleep so soundly.

On the sex front, neither myself or Df has a libido, we just sit and talk and make jokes about sex but never have any action. I'm sure we'll get there but we're not fussed, we still try to have a cuddle so we're happy.

Rach- I think you should be allowed to comment, its not like you are sitting there bragging and just becasue jack is an easy child doesn't mean you can't have an input about anything. i know in my mothers groups it really varies, one mum has a bub who sleeps 11 hours stright, goes down easily for naps etc the another one has a bub who wakes every 2-3 hours every night. We all put our 2 cents in and when someone is having a hard time we all try to give any tips that may help. We all give and receive thats why i like my group so much.

Lol bout the farting, I'm a non farter, i have a rare disorder where air cannot emit from that end of my body! Well thats what i tell everyone.

I been thinking today about when people ask "is she a good baby?" Just cause over last few days i've been asked that alot. And i think to myself, well we have alot of sleep issues but that doesn't mean shes a "bad baby" I think shes a great baby we just have some problems we need to sort out. Prolly be better to ask if they are easy or something like that cause i don't think any baby is "bad".

We had aour photos done earlier, we were there one and half hours! Its hard taking photos with a 3 year old there who was very irritable, he wasn't 100% well and Ash got tired so trying to get them both to look at the camera was hard work. We go back Sunday to look at them all and choose what we want, we'll prolly just get the group shot as we spent too much money lately and we just got proffesional photo's done 4 months ago.

god I've been blabbing on here, thats what happens when i'm overtired just keep yapping!

Shell-about the good/bad baby thing, say what I say hes (well she for you) a good baby has times where he is awake more than I like, so he is a normal baby and I dont mind cause I love him so much. (LOL then I come on here and carryon about getting no sleep, but you know what I mean).

:lol: checked on Jack at 6.15am when Jase left for work he was laying across cot I said a :pray: he would stay asleep a bit longer, laying in bed and could here him kicking side of cot with feet thru monitor, then I hear his fisher/price aquarium thing I am like WTF!! go in he is laying on side lengthways watching the aquarium now someone tell mehow the heck he switched it on it is ont he top rail :lol:

another funny last night he fell asleep having a bottle at 7.20pm so we thought we'd pop him inbed, didn't really expect him to stay down he goes down between 8-9pm most nights, anyway he was on tummy head up back of house at 8.20pm I heard him squel so went in he was on back at other end of cot he had done a complete 180 circle and rolled over LOL

oh oh oh was just abou tto hit post looked over to the lounge floor and he rolled back to tummy and back again LOL :dance:

Rach.. Jack is so adorable! I love that 12 Feb 3 photo!!! And his boxer shorts on the brag mat!! Haha what a little monkey with his aquarium thing. Jess has a mobile that puts lights on the roof. It has big buttons that plays music too and he turns it off and on with his feet. How active are they getting!! YAY Jack on his rolling!!!

anyway more fun stuff, see its all about Jack today LOL, ok cause he kept rolling I thought I can't leave him there while I go to *TMI* toilet, so I put him in walker in hall in front of toilet, anyway we normally have a pillow under his feet as he couldn't quite reach 2 weeks ago, well I left it out and he can touch *eek* so I am talkign to him and he moves foward a metre *faint* and then back the same amount *holy hell* where did my little baby go

This will be quick, I should be doing something that resembles cleaning or even having a shower lol
Had a great nights sleep, no waking up at the crack of dawn thank god. I heard him stir at 6:30, he was "talking" in his sleep! He woke up properly at 8ish just chattering away. He seems to be in a good mood this morning :)

We had another tiring night, hopefully once she's off the snti's she'll sleep in longer blocks but thats still another week away!
She too has been rolling so much these last couple days, she usually only would do it once or twice a day but now she just keeps going and trying to crawl, she's really getting around, keeps pushing herself around on her back.

BUMPERS-Hi guys just wondering your thoughts on cot bumpers. I am totally against them as they recommend not having one to reduce the risk of sids. Well Eithan has taken to propelling, by using his feet, off one side of the cot and hitting his head really hard on the bars of the cot. He is really hurting himself as his cry is very obvious to this. What do you think I should do? Leave it and hope he figures it out, put a bumper in, or individually pad the bars? I am a bit lost this morning, all thoughts on this matter would be great. Sorry no personals gotta go be back on later, but yah at all these little boys being so big (where has the time gone) and Nessa yah for you for things starting to look up.

Helen i have a cot bumper for ruby,she is another that ends up upside down.Millana always use to wake with bumping her head and didnt want a repeat of getting up to resettle.Mine goes all the way round except one end and its a 1 peice.I have seen individual bumpers but you could sew`a safe one yourself perhaps? I think the sids thing is a risk but ruby is pretty active im sure she could push herself away?

Rach those airwraps look really good. Maz looks like a bumper but the material is breathable stuff so if they get up near it they can still breathe through it.

Maz is a breathable wrap thats acts like a bumper but as I said is breathable stops the babies getting arms vcaught in slats and also prevents head when banging etc, best thing ever we put jack in cot just after xmas the first night we were up 4 times removing his arms from slats so the next day I ordered ours if you look at the site it explains what they are etc

I use a cot bumper. He wasnt in his cot until he was 3mths old. By then he was rolling so it wasnt as huge a SIDS risk anymore as the rolling would be more an issue. We also have a breathing alarm on our monitor so I dont worry about SIDS anymore. Theyve proven that SIDS is caused by a quirk in the brain to do with breathing patterns, if its going to happen it will no matter what you do, all this stuff is just a precaution. Like I said he is moving around now so the bumper is needed and I already had one sitting there. What Rach has is a cool idea though!

ETA OMG Im almost wetting myself here! Jett is in his Jolly Jumper and we HAVE to put music on while he is in it or we get the dirtiest looks ever. The song "Rock your Body" by Bob Sinclar came on and OMG he went nuts lmao its one of his fave songs. He is bouncing from foot to foot and waving his hands in the air and then he makes a suprised face and taps his left foot on the floor rapidly. yeah Nessa thats what I meant by no room for a frame one, our lounge at moment just isn't big enough for the frame the JJ hang off, when our reno is done *sigh* we would have heaps of room still no door frames but heaps of room for JJ frame

They are a god send Rach, Jett loves his! Ours hangs on our door frames. I put it everywhere, in kitchen when Im on comp/doing chores, in bathroom when Im showering, in lounge when he is grumpy and I want to watch TV/do chores.
