Being i fell pregnant while on the pill with Jess, im hopeing it wont be too hard second time around.

AnnaT.. its a place in VIC actually.. their website is usafoods com au (insert the dots). They sell it either by the can or 24 for $30 which is pretty good. Found a shop in Castle Hill (sydney) that are selling 12 cans for $30. Theyve also go heaps of American foods and candies.. oh i go mental when i place an order! Its strange they stopped producing the Dr Pepper here in Aus as i know so many people that liked it.

I know I'm not either of these girls but I have a 2004 falcon and I fit heaps in it is just a matter of packing around the pram and taking wheels off if possible, we go away heaps so you can imagine we pack a lot and I have a large 4 wheel pram

the back seat is roomy but the doors are quite narrow say in comparriso to a commodore the opening I mean

Had a lovely day with me time today. Wish I could do that more often. Ended up getting mum a large vase for the new house.

annat - I have a Ford Falcon xr6 and the boot is really roomy. I have a 4 wheel pram which I can easily fit in, as well as all the groceries. Backseat is roomy as well. With Nina's carseat on the side, we can still fit 2 adults on the back seat.

kel - Nina is close to 9kg now. She was 8.2kg & 69cm 1.5weeks ago and I can feel she has gained more. She's having needles on Friday so I'll get her weighed & measured then.

good luck at the gym lp - you never know, you too could be exercising with the stars just like chrissy.

caddie - Nina has started playing peek-a-boo with her sheets, and once she fell asleep with the sheet over her face, and she rolled over and couldn't get it off. Luckily the monitor was on and we heard her squarking. The things they do while they're in their cot hey!

nelle - did you get to mothers group?

shell - that's great that ash is settling easier for her day sleeps, but bummer about night wakings. Probably is the growth spurt. If/when you can, give the electric pump a go, I can't believe how brilliant it is! Nina is now offically fed via EBM with her sippy cup, except for at night. She won't have a bar of me during the day, little miss independant!!

I hope we have a better night. she's been taking ages to settle for the night the last couple nights. Don't know why, she usually gets a feed, put her down and she rolls over and goes to sleep.

Question bout pears. I have boiled them with water and mushed them all together but its still bit lumpy, what do others do with there fruit? serve it lumpy or should I get the barmix out and puree it better? its all new to me. i want to start serving pears with her rice cereal.

shell - I'd get the barmix out and puree it further, until it's really smooth. There shouldn't be any lumps in it. Fingers crossed she has a better night tonight.

Shell - Re the pears, I either just mashed them as best as possible or you could also push them through a sieve. Xander is really good with slightly lumpy food so I tend to leave it that way. When I first started on the pears I just bought the Heinz ones, they are just about liquid.

Jodi - Wow at little miss independant and her EBM. Huge congrats to you for keeping up with the pumping for her - I don't think I could do that on an ongoing basis.

AnnaT - I've got a Falcon Wagon, I could easily fit TWO prams in there, and big ones at that. The sedans have a huge boot too.

LP - Alexander has grown so much!!! He weighs a little more than my Alexander who is 8.4kg, but your little man is a few weeks younger. Wow.

Chrissy - Nothing like a bit of eye candy to motivate at the gym. yay! Oh, and thanks for those tests, they arrived today.

Kellxx - Hope you enjoyed that Dr Pepper, I didn't know it was still around in Australia?

Caddie - Ruby sounds like she was having a great time in her cot :lol: Xander just lies there like a brick, yet when you take him out he rolls all over the place. Wonder why he doesn't roll in the cot?

Nessa - I bet it sounds cute when Teleah says that. I love all the little sayings kids come up with (and then repeat like little parrots over and over)

Anna**-I am getting some BBH ans a berryplush and an extra insert.

Well I am so upset it is hard to stop myself from crying. You will all think it is probably a little silly but I am still finding it hard. Leith went to QLD today the taxi has just left to take him to the airport and he wont be back until Fri night. He has to go for work and he will have a great time as his conference is at seaworld. The thing is in all the time we have been together, coming up on 9yrs, we have never been apart from each other for more than a night. I just want to jump on a plane and follow him over there. I just feel so lost wothout him, he's my bestfriend and I just dont know what to do when he is not here to talk to. Poor thing he is so nervous about flying, he is the kind of person who is happy to stay in Tassie,so this is a big thing for him but luckily he is travelling with collegues.

Anyway better go and try and get the little man back to bed, he's been up since 3am.

Shell.. yep puree them more. I made Jess some home made veges on the weekend, just stuck em in the magic bullet and until their smooth. The carrots and the pumpkin i just made the same consistancy you see them in the jars. I gave Jess the apple the otherday just buy itself and he screwed his face up like it was too bitter lol but was ok with the cereal. Good luck with it this morning.

Helen.. aww you poor pet, i know how you feel darl. And i think thats great you have such a strong bond. Just try and keep yourself busy with Eithan, make hubby a cake or something for when he comes home?

Grahame is home today. Last night he broke out in lumps.. it look like something similar to Hives? All over his body. But he hasnt done anything different lately. Woke up in the night and had a look and said it had all moved? Though he does work with Horses so who knows he may have been bitten by some sort of lice or something? Who knows. But he's going to the Drs to get it checked out.

Well best go change the stinky bum next to me.. going for coffee this morning with a friend so shall see yall later gaters.

That will be hard for you, but we are all here for you and you have my mobile and home no.s so feel free to call me anytime, even if you think it is over nothing.

Kell-Poor hubby, sounds like hives, but as you said he's geting it chkd out which is good. Sometimes you can get hives when you are under stress, so maybe with everything going on at the moment this is his bodies way of releasing something. I hope that you guys are all coping as best as you can, sending huge hugs your way.

AnnaT-Babies can change their sleeping patterns all the time, just when you think you've got them sorted out, they will throw a spanner in the works and change. I hope you manage to get some rest/sleep soon. It can be really hard to manage on no sleep and housework is definantly a second to looking after yourself and Jett. Although it is hard to look at the house while it is messy, it wont last forever. Do what I do when I dont have time due to tiredness, make neat little piles of things and then when you do some housework again work on those neat piles one by one. Kepp the kitchen washing up stacked and the benches wiped and even though there are dirty dishes there it wont seem as bad. All the best.

Well Eithan went back to bed at 5.20am and was up again at 8am, so I am sooo tired as I had trouble getting to sleep and probably didnt get to sleep till about 1am. Today I am taking him to Rock and Rhyme at the local library. It goes for 20mins which is a good amount of time for a baby, the pamphlet says that it is a fun program of songs, rhymes and stories, and that sessions involve repitition and simple movements to nursery ryhmes and songs with musical instruments. So it should be good, and the bonus is that it is free to go along. Anyway better go and get them both ready. Gosh I feel so sick today.

Morn all,
We've had another crap night with 2 hourly wakings. I'm starting to feel really sick and dizzy and headachey. I know she doesn't need to eat that often, duing the day she feeds 3 hourly. I'm thinking maybe every 2nd time she wakes I'll feed her so that'll be 4 hourly and the other times try to settle her by patting or something. But I wonder if its going to confuse her and send mixed signals if one time shes getting the breast and the next time shes not.

Helen.P- I hate when Df not home either. He usually gets home the crack dawn after his drinking night sat nights and last sat night someone knocked on our lounge window at 1:50am! scared the hell outta me. Your Dh will be back before you know it. Too bad he couldn't take the whole family to Seaworld.

Belle- Where in America is he going? I would be wanting to go along too, I've never been overseas. Df and I think one day when we finally get married we will run off to Las Vegas and get married by Elvis.

Kell- Hmm thats weird bout those spots, hopefully its nothing contagious.

AnnaT- Don't worry bout the housework just rest. At the moment all I can do is cook dinner and do a few dishes.

Thanks all for the pears info I added more water and chucked them in the blender so smooth as anything. Just Ash didn't seem overly impressed just might need to get used to after just having rice cereal. She made such a funny face. She better start liking seeing as I have 24 ice cubes of them. Might eat them myself, so yummy. I'm thinking I should make up my own pureed apple and pear for myself, that way I'll actually eat fruit.

Lol at eating your own pureed fruit Shell :p If Ash made a funny face, but didn't scream 'no mum no' then I'd keep going with the pears. It takes a few goes for Riv to be convinced of anything - the first time we used his sippy cup he screwed up his face and swallowed maybe 5 times (the rest went on his bib). But now he's got the hang of it just fine!

I'm with Helen, Annat, just make piles :p

And Helen, hugs about Leith going away - I agree, keep yourself busy, maybe work on a project for him? Is there something he's always wanted? Take photos of the kids and journal it all so he can catch up on the week he's missed? Get him to take notes of his trip too, and you can swap journals when he gets home?

Anyway, we slept in again, not as bad as yesterday, so I'd best get cracking.

Shell.. yeh i agree with Nelle. Jess screwed his face up at the apple at first because it think he wasnt use to such flavour and sweetness as the milk and rice cereal is quite bland (and gross to taste if you ask me!). He was the same with his vegies but now theyre his favourite thing. But the fruit puree is so yum!! I used to buy the tubs myself. Oh shell, sorry you had a bad night. Sounds like a common thing lately with everyone. Jesse woke at 2am then 5.30am then 7am. Im lucky hew'll go straight back to sleep with his dummy at least. Wondering if theyre going through another growth spurt or their teeth are bothering them. Can be very draining i know.

Oh i didnt know Toobs were back until i saw the woolies catalogue. Had a look at coles today and the didnt have any the pooheads... but they had Ruffles!! SO am pigging out on them now with a Dr Pepper mmmmmm.

DH went to the doc and he said if it gets any bad to come back but he said its nothing to worry about. FIL has the same dr and he said it maybe due to stress and worry so yeh.. hopefully thats all it is.

Jess is constantly up on his hands and knees now! wont be long!!

I just popped over to my neigbours house and their 21/2 yr old son wacked ruby in the head with a tennis racket!! Poor thing has a red mark.Hope it wont bruise and now she is asllep so better be careful as i dont know how hard he did it.

KELL; my hubby got hives when i used a new fabric softner on his clothes.It was so bad that he need some antihistamine. Also,some plants do this too.

Groceries are done (the only thing Ive done today) and Jett had his first ride in the trolley sitting up! He loved it, kept smiling at other kids and esp the ladies. He's a playa already lol

Sooo I did a HPT, I know I know Im only 7 dpo................but I think I saw a really REALLY faint line. Like the eensiest bit of colour. So now Im going to go more insane until atleast Friday 10dpo when I might actually get something more concrete.

Shell - hmmm pureed pear ice cubes in a glass of champers..hmmmmmm. Dont give up though mate, its normal for bubs to screw their faces up at the first new things they try. Its all new to them and the texture on their tounge feels different to. Good on you buy the way for doing it, im so lazy..tins in my house.
Kell - youll have to kiss DH all over....grrrrrrrrrr. honestly, hope its not shingles. Get some valergine into him , he might beable to sleep and be nice and groggy but it will help with the itching too.

Hello everyone else hope your all well
Just got back from the peado for Wilhelms 6 monthly check. We now have to have an ECG to check his brian waves cause he is starting to have seizures, none fitting ones jus this eyes rolling bck and no verbaul communication with us. He's had 2 screaming ones were Ive had to smack his butt to snap him out of it. Doctor is a bit worried that it might be the start of epilepsy..great just another thing to conqure! Doc also said that Wilhelm might have a very difficult time getting into his special needs school next year cause his IQ level has to be below 70 to get in and he's very advanced in his reading, writing and drawing abilities...breathing in.....breath out.
So all in all had a wonderful day.

We're coming up on a holiday in April and Df aunt lives in Cronulla and as she will be away that week has let us stay there. So my question is how far is Cronulla from the city in driving time and in public transport time. Plus how does public transport work up there? Do you pay for where you want to go or can you get daily tickets or what and how much? And is it easy to get prams on and off your trains? Secondly what things do you definately recommend we have to see/ do?

Nah Shell, there's heaps of people who use sposies! But cloth is well worth considering if you're happy to do an extra load here and there, especially if you're having more than one bubba in cloth, but even if you're having one it saves you money.

Caddie.. yeh we havent changed our washing stuff or anything.. havent had anything different for dinner etc. I think we've just put it down to stress as normally Grahame is the most stress free person in the world.. probably hasnt worried about anything like this in his life before. But it looks to be clearing up, doc told him to take some Telfast which he did, seems to be doing the job.
Oh no poor Ruby. The USA website is great. I love America and all their foods and lollies and chocolates mmmmmmmm. And am glad its all reasonably priced too. Toobs are the greatest!!! Use to get them when i was little.. like Nessa said, theyre a bbq flavoured crunchy cheesle (without the cheese). Im yet to locate a packet though!!!

Shell.. hope Ash ended up having a good night for you. Ok ill try and answer to the best of my knowledge. (not really around Cronulla way so may not be 100% accurate). I think it'd take around half hour - 45 mins or so to the city driving.. not sure how long by public transport. There is a train station at Cronulla.. so by looking on www cityrail info (it has fairs/timetables and all that info).. it takes about an hour to the city on the train. Looks like about $5.20 one way to the city. City stations are 'Town Hall', 'Winyard', 'Central'. You usually pay for where you go and from memory when you pay to go to the city, you can get off at any stop in the city. You can get a weekly pass (usually commuters use them). Parking in the city, if you cant get on the street by the metre parking, its usually around $20 or so for the day. As for prams on public transport.. not sure havent tried, but think it depends how big your pram is. I had a girlfriend who use to take the train to her parent's with a pram and found it ok so you should be right. Things to do in Sydney.. um.. i guess definately have a walk around the city.. lots to see there and buy. Maybe go down the Darling Harbour while youre in the city too. Not sure how much it costs but you can also always go up Centre Point Tower (i think its called AMP Tower now) and get a nice view of Sydney. Go to the Sydney Markets or Taronga Zoo. I guess being youre out Cronulla way you can always go to the beach. Also have a look at sydney com au. Theres a few things there they suggest too.

We're only gonna be up for 3 days so gotta plan it all. We'll prolly spend 2 days in the city. We're thinking bout extending to 5 days seeing as we've got free place to stay but not sure.

Yes we had a better night here. She had her feed at 10:30 then woke 2:50 and 6:00 then up at 8:00. So good night except for Df snoring between 3 and 4:20! I kept knocking him would doze off then be awoken by snoring, finally i woke him up by shouting at him to shut up! I am a light sleeper generally so not impressed. Can't wear ear plugs anymore cause i need to listen out for Ashleigh.

Ruby is okay,no bump on her head.She slept through 2 nights ago but last night was up for a feed at midnight.Millana is more of the turd,waking up,wanting milk,wanting out of cot.I have to sleep on the cold hard floor till she drifts off!!
me,i have had this horrible pain in my stomach for 2 days.My stomach is tender to touch too.Its like severe heartburn.It constantly aches.Im taking medication the dr prescribed to me last time.Its like i have gas but it cant escape.My stomach was bloated too.Anyway,im sure it will go soon.Its just a pain in the butt.

I could have gone there as Eithan is well and truly an August baby but decided to stay with my friends. I know this thread has had it's issues, but I thought we were all moving on from that. Yeah the BB nappy meetup was good! I met Sammi (mod), ChocolateCatty, AJP, WardyGirl and...oh there was me. 5 of us. At Spotlight. Good fun, talking with other people who actually care about nappy stuff, instead of rolling their eyes like I'm a crazy person.
Though I might be a crazy person anyway....
