hi girls,
just popping in to say hi... had a rough few days here. my puppy got hit by a car on sunday. he's fine but i was in tears for two days as i felt so guilty... i was trying to get ainsleigh out of the car and i called him and he came running but i did not realise he had gone across the road to the park. thank god he's ok. he's on the same drugs as i was on after my caesar for the pain tho. thank goodness dh comes home today.... times like this are when i don't cope so well with him being so far away. i'm not usually a down person, so i've been finding it hard. :(

hope you are all doing ok, just not up to personals at the moment, but trying to keep up with your news. won't be around over the next week with dh home, but will catch up properly next week (and yes, can't wait to catch up with you anna and caddie!)

Oh Rikki, I'm glad your pup is okay! What a scare though.That's great that Sam will be home soon though - when does he come? Or is he already home?

Thanks about the food advice girls, just moved Rivs legs around and got some farts so at least that's not banked up anymore. I've got some pears here so I might cook em up and see how that helps. Maybe I should do an apple and pear mix so the two can counteract each other!

Helen, maybe you and Leith should schedule a day or afternoon where you hang out, whether the reno's are done or not.

Jodi - would it work if you and Nina had a spoon each? I think I heard mum mention that once...

Okay I'm going to have to stop here, Riv needs a nappy change and he's chatting and licking my arm while I'm typing anyway :p

I've tried letting her feed herself (that's a nightmare), I've tried putting it on my finger (nope, won't have a bar of it), as soon as you get close to her mouth it closes shut! Maybe I'll just have to stick with the finger food for now until she's ready again ??

Okay here's for the funny part - putting Riv's nappy in the nappy bucket, I see poo on another! So I call Rans to see how his day is going (quite well thanks, but still a blocked dose) and query about the poo.
N: I thought you said it was just a skid mark?
R: Yeah there was one of those too.
N: But this looked like a good poo!
R: Yeah it was. It wasn't huge though.
N: Yes but I thought he was constipated.
R: (silence)
N: what?
R: well...yeah I knew that...but...
N: So you heard me say Riv was constipated AFTER he'd pooed but you just didn't connect the dots and think to fill me in?
R: yeah. Sorry nelle.
N: you're the biggest dag ever.

Gotta love him. At least he changes nappies hey! :p

Jodi - go with the flow honeyu, dont stres, she'll pick up a spoon when she's ready you can always have her foo dnear yours of a night time and casually offer her some whilst your eating your tea.

We've got a tooth here :) Well, the start of a tooth - felt something quite sharp when Riv decided to gnaw on my finger, and it's started to break through the gums...be honest with me girls, am I in for a difficult time until it comes fully through?

Nelle- yay on toothy coming thru, as for a hard time I have no idea, Ashleigh just has all these bumps and still no tooth.

HelenP- Thats fantastic Eithan rolled, I reakon in a few days he'll be rolling all over the place, you won't be able to stop him!

Jodi- yeah just stick with the finger food if that makes her happy, if she's able to eat sandwhiches without probs maybe give her cooked vegies that haven't been mashed up?

rikki- So glad to hear the puppy is okay, and yay you get to see Dh tomor.

We've had another screamy day, only ever at sleep times, every other time she's generally a happy chappy. Luckily we go back to the sleep clinic on Thurs, perfect timing. I had to skip mums group today, just didn't feel up to it and didn't really want to hear about babies sleeping so well as that would've made me feel crappier! Just gets me down when I spend so long seeing her so upset and tired and not being able to get her to sleep.

Shell - like you said, good timing that you're going back on Thurs. Hopefully they can help with other strategies to get her to settle without a screaming match. It only happens during the day doesn't it? How is she tonight?
I will just stick with the finger food until she's ready for some more again. I made a vegie stew and she had a couple of teaspoons, but then got cranky with me.

Nelle.. With Jesse's first tooth he was totally fine and only really shoving things into his mouth sorta thing.. the second tooth is whats been a cracker. He's been grumpy and clingy big time, but in saying that, he also had his needles on Sunday so they probably dont mesh too well to make a happy baby. Just give him lots to chew, cold things like wet washers work well and he should be ok.

Still fluey.. had to cancel Jesse's rockstar photoshoot until tomorrow, hes very disappointed poor baby, but we cant go sick and make everyone sick too. Looks like the poos are back to normal yay!!!! Wonder what it was in the Nurture Gold #2 that made him constipated.. strange.

Anyways.. gonna hit the hay.. Gnight Princess Sparkles..

ok need help have been invited to a bridal shower dinner thing, not sure if I will go as I will need to take Jack as Jase is at bucks party all day starts at 7am in the morning so I dont imagine he will be fit to care for Jack, and I wouldn't be comfortable unless he didn't drink at bucks party :lol: as if that woud happen anyway...............has anyone ever heard of a pantry filler party I have no idea what the girl who rang meant, first I thought she said pear tree :lol: she was on mobile so was hard to understand her...........anywho if anyone knows what this means in relation to a bridal shower thingo can they let me know, I doubt I will go but still be nice tobe prepared :)

My friend has my bridal books so I cant look it up, but am pretty sure it is basically like doing the shopping for them. I know of a cellar party, where everyone brings alcohol but not sure what you could give for a pantry one. I took Eithan to a bridal shower in Dec and everyone was fine with it, maybe just enquire about it. I am sure Jack will be fine though.

Jodi/ Kell- She did sleep okay overnight and settles down first thing at night no probs, just during the day she fights it. I have no idea why. We'll see how today goes.

Ashleigh is having fun at the moment she's pulled all the DVDs and Videos out. Seems like its her fave thing to do. She bunny hops all round the room getting faster, its funny sometimes she bounces so far forward her face ends up buried in the carpet.

yeah I looked it up online and it had a pantry shower where you bring a recipe and the dry ingredients for that recipe, the thing is the shower is being held at a local club combined with dinner, I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving Jack home when I know Jase will have been drinking all day I :dunno: might go see the lady who rang she is a sought of friend of mine and is matron of honour of the wedding I dont know its not my scene but I suppose having Jack there would make me feel more at ease something to take my mind off being scared :cryinglaugh:

Well the flu is still taking hold of my head. Oh it better be gone by Sunday!!!! But they weather doesnt help. Jess and i are in our trackies this morning, come the afternoon we'll be in shorts and a t-shirt.. thats what happened yesterday.
Still getting the hang ups on my mobile every afternoon. Didnt happen over the weekend, but has happened everyday this week also so far. Just kinda freaky now i have a kid you know.. but like i said, im not on bad terms with anyone that i know of so i have no idea who it could be.. :(

Ok... good news! I went and saw my usual Doctor this morning before Xander was due to go for his scan (just a check up cos of his cold). Well, when he found out that I was taking Xander for a scan because the other Doctor thought he might have hydrocephalus, he told me not to bother wasting my money. He thinks there is no way that Xander has it, he has just got a big noggin... baby's that have it usually have a MUCH bigger head - like waaay off the charts. But as he knows that now the issue has been raised, he said he will refer me to a paed to confirm that he is ok and to set my worries to rest. So, for now all is great. Got the paed appointment in 2 weeks.

thats great news Anna, did you mention hydracephaly in your other post, gosh I could have put your mind at rest *idiot* drs makign you worry, I thought you hasd seen a paed as well, my CHN says if jack is across the next line in a month she will send me to a paed to check it out

Well I felt in Ashleigh's mouth this morning and found for the first time a sharp little toothy coming thru, might explain the screaming sessions at sleep times? Although shes never grizzly at any other time. Maybe just bothers her when shes tired.

Shell Jack has been having screaming unconsovable sessions during the night and early morning he is asleep when it happens I have to wake him up, I wonder if its a 6 months thing :dunno:
