seems like a quiet day here today.
I have had Snugglers before, but didn't have a problem. Maybe a faulty batch?
Laurin - Sorry that you had a bed night. Hopefully you will have a better one tonight.
    Kell - did it rain?

James had a pretty bad afternoon. He didnt have a sleep, and by 6pm this arvo he was inconsolable. He went to sleep at about 6:45 while BF. I hope he stays asleep, but I doubt it. He never sleeps well when he misses his afternoon sleep. Will let you know how we go tomorrow.

Anyway hope everyone had a great night.

Hey lovelies! I really don't have anything to say, but thought I'd just pop in and fill up empty space.
How are you all going? What did you do tonight? Did your babies go down without a fuss or did they fight like they're in training for Olympic trouble-making?
I heard River singing a bit, but then I had to go out, and apparently he ended up going to sleep.

I've got haphazard kinda-quiches in the oven at the moment...wonder if they'll work out?

    hi girls,
just popping in to say hi. sam home tomorrow and our first wedding anniversary this weekend so no doubt i'll be MIA! got family coming from NSW on Friday too, so busy week for us. Ains still has a cold/mild bronchiolitis so poor thing missing swimming again tomorrow, but apart from that she is wonderful. Full on crawling and copying everything you do. My Mum babysat her today for only the second time (don't ask, just rest assured that it is just as hard, if not a lot harder having a difficult mother that MIL) while i took the puppy to the vet.

Happy birthday Teleah and to all the monthers that i missed... can't believe that xander and nina are only two months off 1 year (and then Ainsleigh!)

Nelle, i made a haphazard quiche tonight too.... and so did my good friend, i talked her thru the recipe on the phone while i made ours. was yummy. ains eats eggs now too, and she LOVES quiche! in fact i have been on a cooking/baking frenzy lately.... scaring myself i'm so domesticated!

    have a great week girls...

Rikki - Have a great wedding anniversary.
Belle - I hope your migraine improves
Caddie - Hopefully Ruby has a long sleep today. Any news yet?
Nessa - James had a great sleep. Didn't hear from him till 7:30 pm.

I had mothers grp yesterday. Honestly I dont know how much longer I will keep going. They always manage to make me feel bad. James is not crawling yet, nor is he pulling himself up. He can slide around backwards, and does move around. He is also showing signs of getting near crawling by getting into the crawl position. Anyway a few of the other mums make me feel bad saying how much further advanced their child is compared to mine. It is starting to upset me. Part of my anxiety is around the fact that I work with children with disabilities, and I am $hit scared of something being wrong. So of course seeing other children reaching milestones way before James makes me nervous. No wonder the GP didn't want to take me off my antidepressants yet!!

meg jack isn't crawling properly either and has only really started pulling himself up on things this last week or 2, when i went to mums group last week there is a little girl 1 week younger than jack and she seems so much older jack seemed like a baby baby, then one of the mums said jack has a lot more weight to manouver than the little girl :hugs: wont be long before ours are up and running then we will be like why did we want them to move again

ness got chn soon will jump on later and try to catch ya

Meg- I hate hearing bout mother's groups like that. Aren't they meant to be to support each other!? As Ness said remember they all do things at there own pace. My MG has kisd crawling and others that don't move at all, everything varies. If they are the type of ppl that like to point out those kind of things then they prolly have alot of insecurities of there own.

Ness- Glad to hear Teleah's birthday went well. Haven't bought my KK yet, will closer to time but have been thinking bout it.

Rach- Maybe call snugglers again, thats bad they keep breaking nappies don't come cheap, hopefully they'll send you some freebies.

caddie- 4:30 is way too early, still like the middle of the night. You must go to bed really early.

Belle- I've got mums group too today, got the storm cover and umbrella out JIC, hopefully it won't rain on my way there.

rikki- Enjoy your anniversary, and I hope Ainsleigh gets over all these illnesses. You've had more than your fair share so hopefully now she won't get sick for years.

Kell- I wouldn't want to be out in 100km storms either. I hate driving in the rain.

Laurin- i hope Rylee gives you a better night sleep, must be night time at the moment there? Well hopefully you are both asleep right now.

I just had some ppl at the door, god knows who they are, they prolly religious or something but they said they've been to a class and decided to door knock to talk to ppl about concerns of the world etc. There no way I letting strangers into my place!

Haha, yay for a toothy peg Eithan! Hi Helen!

Meg, I really wouldn't worry about James not crawling or whatever. Anna's Xander is the oldest of ours and he was a little slower to do things that babies like Annat's Jett (one of the youngest) had been doing for months, but there ain't nothing wrong with either baby, they just do things in their own sweet time. Besides, much as you'd love James to be more mobile, he will drive you bonkers once he's on the move. I like that Riv can come find me if he needs me, but I swear, the things he gets into...honestly.

Kell - Haphazard: : marked by lack of plan, order, or direction. So haphazard quiche is much like any of my haphazard meals, where I make it up as I go. They turned out pretty good in the end though!

Sorry I missed your post Belle, how's your head now?

Ness, that dollmaking site made no sense to me, I couldn't find where I was supposed to be, and I'm not usually dumb at these things. Maybe you could PM me the link? Can I blame it on a frozen brain?

I just looked at the weather forecast, and apparently it's only going to be 13degrees today...uncool.

Hey, has/does anyone watch Top Gear? We've got some of the series and it's my new favourite thing.

Meg.. oh hun, im sorry your mums group made you feel that way. All bubs do things at different stages and when they are ready. I think each one has something theyre slow at doing. Jesse still has never said mumma or dadda or bubba or anything other than blah blahh blahh babbling. They all do things at their own pace.
Ive never joined a mums group for being scared of the same thing.. other mums being narky like that. Im lucky i have all these wonderful people in our group here when i need any information or am worried about something, theyre always here offering such great advise. Honestly, if i didnt have this group.. i have no idea how i wouldve gotten through the past 9 months! Its just too bad we are all in different parts of the continent.. otherwise i think we'd all make a killer mums group!! :hugs:

Shell.. oh gawd.. i dont like people who knock on the door. They sound like Jehova's Whitnesses. Were they wearing black suits, black tie and white shirts? Even when people come saying theyre from Optus and are trying to sell something.. ill never open the door to them.. dont like people who try and sell things over the phone either.

Nelle.. ahhh gotcha! Glad it turned out well. Do you make your own pastry? or just buy the cases?

Helen.. WOOHOOOOO On Eithan's first tooth!! WOO WOO!

Belle.. do you have any wind out your way yet? Its been sprinkling all morning, pooring last night.. just waiting for the strong winds and storms theyre predicting.

Chrissy.. hope everythings ok up your way and DH is getting better.

Anyways.. gonna go make a cuppa soup.
